Ulemper: The only thing I had a problem with is the fact that I've been staying at that hotel for the last 9 or 10 weeks in a row and the priority value of getting me in a room earlier is very low when it comes to the staff so you would think if someone is spending that kind of money on a regular basis you would make sure that they are extremely accommodated

Ulemper: The staff was unbelievably rude especially the front desk , the hotel room looked like an episode of a 1920s scary movie.... NOTHING like the pictures, paint chipping, bugs, cracks, shedded... if I could give a negative score I would! DO NOT stay!

Fordeler: The suite was nicely appointed. It felt like a small NYC apartment. Perfect for two and very comfy.

Ulemper: The “jacuzzi” tub was not actually a Jacuzzi, but just a large tub for two. It is beautiful and we did enjoy it, but there are no jets as the word Jacuzzi implies.

Ulemper: The only issue we had was our shower didn’t drain. We had to take quick showers to prevent water from overflowing on to the floor.

Ulemper: Having to pay $18 for tea for two people in the room is too much. It would be better to provide a kettle and tea bags in the room on a complimentary basis as is the norm in all UK hotels.

Ulemper: the location of our room made it quite noisy due to the elevator- would have liked the option of another room or at least informed.

Ulemper: Comforter (if you can even call it that) was more like a bed sheet. Upon showering, the whole room becomes like a sauna; probably due to the fact the bed is pretty much in the same room as the shower.

Fordeler: The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. Fluffys cafe next door was very convenient and had a wide selection. We ate there practically every day.

Ulemper: There was nowhere to put your clothes besides a small closet. The room and bathroom and was very small in general. The tv cable service was not consitant and would not work sometimes.

Fordeler: Location was perfect for sightseeing. Excellent price point. Staff was very helpful, friendly and courteous.

Ulemper: Room was very small but this is to be expected in a big city. Toilet would not be accessible for some people. Room was not very soundproof.

Fordeler: Location. Oh and the chandelier is still there.

Ulemper: This used to be upscale hotel, with enviable amenities. Not any more: no bar or restaurant on premises, 1 doorman who might or might not be working, the fantástico Instagram worthy library bar is gone as well as the outdoor patio and terrace bar. It appears the whole outfit is ran by three kids in their 20s. Oh a concierge is available only through texting. Of course the location is still beyond!

Ulemper: Balked at the rating. This should be 1 STAR hotel rating. Felt more like a deluxe hostel than hotel. Room was too small, hallway felt like hostel. For such a small room to be charging resort-fee is outrageous. There was no room to do anything.

Ulemper: Had to change rooms three times. Filthy room, smoke alarm torn off wall, window separated from frame so cold air pouring in, heating system banging all night, used soap, peeling paint in tub. Really terrible rooms - all three. Never should be selling such substandard rooms. Desk staff seemed very used to complaints about the rooms. I am demanding a refund.

Fordeler: Nothing. This hotel is a dump. Aside from the hipster lobby and good location this place has nothing going for it. Staff was marginal at checkin, the room was dank and small, the carpet in the hallway was filthy, there was only 1 elevator in service.

Ulemper: Lots of street noise. Could hear every drunk coming out of the bar downstairs on Friday and Saturday night - as if they were standing in my room. Music playing in hallways all night. Could hear people in the shower across the hall and it sounded like radio playing in there as well. Water temps need to be fixed - the hottest was scalding.

Fordeler: Being an affordable place to sleep. But disappointed to not have a bathroom ensuite. I didn't realize when i booked this time. I normally get a room at Pod WITH a bathroom and it's fine. This one did not have one and was a real pain.

Ulemper: CHECK to see if you have an en suite bathroom!

Ulemper: It should be noted this is a younger crowd of guest. It felt like me on spring break when I was young. Music all night, but, it’s not taken so far as too difficult. But, definitely keep this in mind. It maybe just certain times of the year?

Fordeler: The room was tiny, but clean and well organized. Comfortable bed. The temperature in the room was all good (Feb/March), no noise from the heater (which is a common problem in US hotels). A sink in the room was particularly useful, as you can brush teeth, shave, remove contact lenses in the privacy of your room. Never had to queue for the shower rooms/toilets. Location is excellent as well, easy to get from/to the airport, short walk to all attractions in the mid-town (like Empire State Building). They can accept deliveries for you (Amazon, etc), but do write them in advance to learn all the conditions and avoid handling fees.

Ulemper: Rooms are not really soundproof, so expect to hear sounds like door slamming. Just one towel hook in the shared toilet/bathroom, no shelves, little hard to organize clothes and towels while you are using it.

Fordeler: The staff is very accomaodating. I went with a specific purpose, and they were very helpful and understanding.

Ulemper: The door to the room had no soundproofing, and the hallway noise could be annoying at times. I suggest noise reducing rubber strips around the door and a door sweep to better soundproof the room.

Ulemper: The room that I reserved and the room that I was given were two different things. My husband and I were expecting at least a full bed, but were given bunk beds. The room did not even have its own toilet and shower!

Fordeler: Extreme disappointment as the construction site beside my hotel room window sledge hammer all night and it was impossible to sleep with this constant noise all night...the staff should of warn me or at least not out anyone on this side of the hotel.

Ulemper: Yes, there were a number of problematic areas. While I was waiting in the hallway for the elevator, I was told to stop talking because someone was apparently shooting a movie around the corner? I was quite annoyed by that.

Fordeler: The excellent friendly staff from the front desk, to the housekeeper to the baggage check guy and the lobby, was nice.

Ulemper: The room was very substandard! Old TV and dated decor plus the room had a cigarette smell and wear tear.

Ulemper: Tiny tight room with myriad basic maintenance oversights: loose toilet seat, loose faucet spigot, broken tiles, exposed carpet nail strips, pealing wallpaper, etc. Oyo soap is the worst I've ever tried to use.

Ulemper: The facilities are not as advertised. The Grill no longer offers dinner, only a very expensive breakfast. There is only one bar, the roof top bar has been closed down, apparently for refurbishment. The rooms are o.k. But tired, with ill fitting windows, poorly applied sealer and mastic, peeling wall paper and lack of housekeeping to some surfaces and hidden areas. The hotel is only accommodation for tourists who will spend most of their time away from the hotel. Not as advertised and a disappointment, trying to survive on its history but with obvious little expenditure on its appearance and maintenance. The widows and external appearance of the hotel is dirty and unattractive. Unfortunately a “has-been” hotel, surviving on its location only and not facilities offered. ,

Ulemper: We left 30 minutes following check-in. So the reasons we left -Room not as advertised -Advertised images about 15 years out of date -Bleach/chlorine smell so strong with the bathroom door even closed that my partners eyes water. My throat hurt. -advised couldnt open the window due to suicide risks(i get it that obvious to most, but dont say that when you dont know the person. That could be a trigger for someone who maybe recently lost someone for god sake. You dont say that sort of thing with a smile or an excuse why you dont let air in because ubover bleach the place) -also told they have advised cleaners not to use so much bleach as its been a complaint before (so you admit its a recurring issue?) - plug sockets were old and poorly put together and skirting all broken/unfinished/taped up - carpets may aswell not have been there as they were so thin -bed seemed comfy but dust everywhere...not sure about the clenliness -Dust again everywhere, coffee amenities wrapped in plastic bags -why if the place is clean??? - for the cost you pay we were not getting the standard or service we found in other hotels of equal and even lower ratings - staff down played issues trying to get us to say the room was too small and that was the problem. The room size was as exoected and not the issue. We were not looking for a freebie upgrade as implied. That was offensive. Further issues The staff at check out were plesant and understanding at first...then the staff which settled the check out bill with were beyond condescending. I work in the industry, with hotels, and have never been made feel so stupid, so dumb. I know the story with payments, with cancellations and on top of that, going by the info on the booking.com app I was repeatedly told I was wrong and belittled and quite frankly embarrased - it was terrible. It all happened in such a short space of time and all over money of course.

Fordeler: As we were attending events in the area of 30 Rock, the location was perfect. I was very happy to see that there was not a spread on the bed. When staying at a hotel, I avoid them like the plague. Clean bedding is of utmost importance to me and our bed at The Roosevelt was pristine.

Ulemper: I have no complaints. The staff was cordial and the hotel was lovely.

Ulemper: Toilet didn't work properly, response was slow, but manager got it fixed day I left. She was helpful.

Ulemper: Staff promised a crib for our baby, but then "ran out of cribs." Eventually manager made good through discount, but only after having to spend a night with the baby in the bed.

Fordeler: Location, the cleaning staff does the best they can given the circumstances.

Ulemper: The room was unbearably hot, the decor very dated, the maintenance of the windows, the window AC unit and the cleanliness of the outside of the windows was simply unacceptable.

Fordeler: Location is great for all the Midtown attractions. Just a block from 5th Ave and the Rockefeller Centre. Hotel was beautifully decorated for the festive season.

Fordeler: the location of the hotel is within walking distance to any of the Broadway shows, shopping, and sightseeing. It is very close to restaurant row where you have a choice of dining at over 30 restaurants.

Ulemper: there are long lines of people waiting to check-in so it does take some time. There is no coffee service available in the room or lobby. If you want coffee in the mornings before 9 a.m. you have to walk down the street to Dunkin Donuts. No frills in room!

Fordeler: Great location. All the staff, especially the maid staff, were very friendly and helpful. Stay there was most comfortable for e in all respects.

Ulemper: Not the cleanest hostel but it's perfectly adequate. Biggest challenge was that on the 5th floor the wifi is practically nonexistent.

Fordeler: The room was quite big and very clean. Very kind and welcoming staff. Nice location, very close to two subway stations.

Ulemper: The radiator in the room was quite noisy at night and the room sometimes too hot. Only one socket was working.

The perverted dishonest idiot pictured here, bursts into your room and states at women getting dressed and refuses to leave so you can finish getting dressed, and lies to you saying the door closes on its own (as his false excuse to keep opening it, when in reality, as you can see in the photos, it does not close all the way unless you pull it shut. He lies, calling front desk while he harasses you at your door, saying you refuse to leave, all the while you had already told the moron that youre doing complimentary late checkout, and all the while you hear the unprofessional incompetent bad attitude front desk rep's and lazy housekeeping staff confirm other guests late check outs. There is no hot water in three bathrooms of each floor, even after you let it run for 30 minutes. And the idiotic unethical front desk staff, despite your requests to have someone check and fix the hot water heater as you're standing naked and cold and sleepy; instead tries to send him to your room where there is no shower! The bedding is stained and have hairs. The housekeeper tries to make a false excuse not to replace it with clean bedding. Same with the nasty hair and stained bath towels. The room floors are dirty when youre the first of two beds to check in. The room lockers are dirty and also never cleaned and disinfected. The rooms have no heat. The unprofessional lazy incompetent housekeeping staff yells and argues loud in Espanol in the hallways, disrupting your sleep. And its hard to then fall back asleep let alone have a productive day. The bathrooms are kept dirty, the showers never cleaned. The hallways and bathrooms have no heat. The lobby sitting area has no heat. There are no computers to use. The careless incompetent unprofessionl unethical irrational rude Manager is unresponsive to her emails that she indeed OPENS, at vivita@broadwayhotelnyc.com . There is no water nor tea and coffee for guests.

Fordeler: Met folks from other countries and My third movie shoot was cancelled because of corona virus. The manager immediately cancelled the rest of my stay at no charge and helped me print new bus tickets and get to the Port Authority. They were such a help!!

Fordeler: Toilet was clean. (Apart from the dodgy guy that always left the toilet in a mess) Convenient to little Italy, Chinatown and Soho.

Ulemper: Staff was extremely inflexible and rude. I booked for 2 weeks stay, and had a family emergency to tend to, but they had been completely uncompassionate and inflexible to my stay. Secondly, for a female solo traveller that has travelled to India and developing countries and picking mixed dorm, I always felt safe. But this time, Blue Moon checked in a guy that physically was dodgy, (this dodginess is in unison with the other dorm roomies who also found him dodgy). It is only fair to the guy who already booked for 4 nights, but Blue Moon extended his stay for another week long++ causing additional inconvenience of other roomies. Although I have to comment, the only staff that was kind was Cara (kazakhstan), she moved me to another room immediately stating my case as vulnerable. Because of this dodgy incident, I did not look forward to going back to Blue Moon everyday. In fact, one of the staff told me, that it was my choice and decision to pick a mixed dorm. Very rude. In fact, the other roomies also agreed the guy was dodgy. There is no kitchen or hot water as well, whereas many other hostels in Manhattan or Brooklyn had this facility.
