The White Sand Beach, which I pretty much could experience in any other hotel, and therefore is nothing special with KC. Terrible food, difficult to get help in the reception, most because they dont want to help (and not because almost everybody did not speak understandable english), terrible internetconnection (though they promised me that the internet connection was very good, and therefore possible for me to work. Which it was not!!!! And made my stay quite exchausting). I really didnt like staying at KC at all, unfortunately.Overrated in all departments. A big dissapointment for me staying here, when experience Koh Chang
Excelent location.Nice beach, quiet and nice staff.Hotel club was a nice place to have a drink after hours of sun and swimming.
I liked the fact kayak had such a good deal on the place. Probably because it was off season and that's the way things go. The three inch spider that lived under the sink in a hole in the wall where the plumbing came through. It made two appearances and twice got away from being captured and relocated, due to a newer buddhist philosophy of no killing, otherwise my bronx mentally would have smashed it good. Secondly, the staff was showing fatigue at what must have been a rough season. No effort by the bartenders was made to make our one drink experience at the beachfront bar memorable. Granted is was mid evening, we were the only two patrons and, it may have been closing in a short while. But, give us straws with the, thai versions to daqueries, however you spell that, if they are needed. Don't wait til i have rounded, the rather short in length, bar to offer me a 'sorry, can i get that for you'. Too late buddy, if i have already picked them out of the case. Lastly, because of it's secluded-ish location, a scooter, or perhaps taxi's, are needed to go anywhere else where the excitment would be during season. That's only becasue the roads are scary enough on the scooters or taxi's that you would not want to be walking them in the evening. Enjoy Koh Chang, just not from this resort.
This Hotel is Located on the most beautiful Beach on Koh Chang. It has very good access to the beach.
very good breakfest, nice pool and beach there wasn't a lift
Beach was exellent, we never see tide during the day. Both sweeming pools were very nice. The room in new building was modern and stylish. Location of this hotel is exellent, shops, banks restourants were close by. Spa center is very expensive. they always said that everything was booked, but it looked like no one was there.
Many facilities such as shops and restaurants with good cheap food are just nearby. The pool is great. Need to reserve seats at the poolside.
The rooms were spacious, clean and staff were extremely helpful, friendly and professional. Swimming pool was really nice. No bad experiences at all at this hotel
free kayak to the beach no value for the price, hotel needs a renovation, sandflys at the beach, room was partly dirty
A lot of sand flies and mosquitoes. Horrible breakfast.
Good friendly room service who were helpful over having a baby in the room sleeping at regular intervals. A lot of the wooden walk ways and balconies, pool area decking are starting to rot due to lack of maintenance which meant people could easily injure themselves (in fact my wife did and had a fall). Wireless internet is extremely expensive. 200 Bhat for only 60 minutes of internet which was not that fast and often disconnected. As someone who needed to stay in contact with work this would stop me staying there again. 4 pounds for 60 minutes is more expensive then a hotel in London or New York.
Natural environment The cinnamonrestaurant.
Cozy facilities, feeling of privacy, close to the nature and in general, combining location by river, nearby restaurants makes a very special place to stay. The staff was very poorely trained, even 5 times cheaper reaturants on the beach had a much better service. The prices are obviously higher than reality. There is a spa nearby with very nice facilities, professional services, their prices are maybe 30-50% higher than on regular location, but even than it is still 2 times cheaper than in the hotel. Same applies to food.
the swimming pool was gorgeous, very important as the sea was very bad breakfast was not the same level than the other prestations
the hole area of the hotel is a hudge tropical garden, which is absolutely beautiful. the restourant is very nice? all the dishes are very nicely decorated? even the simplest, such as fried noodles. the coctails in the bar are also perfect however the location of the hotel is very isolated. the is practically nothing outside. the taxi to White sand beach will cost you 100 BTH. also be aware of tide in the mornings and afternoons
For us it was a lovely place, clean, good food, helpful staff. If you want a hotel right on the beach its not for you asit is a more rural setting i lovely gardens, but the free bus service to the beach from hotel twice a day, or taxi 50baht (£1) per person was never a problem.
great luxury hotel with good swimming pool and friendly staff. Good location near beach/sea and restaurants and 7/11-shop. Would definitely come again. Beach was a bit rocky and not ideal for snorkeling / swimming. No remote for the air-conditioning. Sometimes people in the swimming pool who didn't stay in the hotel-rooms
Good location, nice beach near the hotel. Friendly staff, wifi everywhere in the area of the Chill resort. Luxury holidays I spent there. Poor choice of breakfast I would prefere more choice of food in this kind of hotel for the value of money.
Everything, good food, fabulous location, excellent value Noisy air-con, would have been good to have transport to main beach strip running a little later
Expensive internet access, mosquitos
Beautiful location and beautiful resort.. very calm and quiet..but a little too far from White Sand Beach or other villages. You need every time a taxi or the shuttle of the hotel (only three times a day and none in the evening).Good food at the hotel. Rather expensive at Thai norms.. The hotel asked at arrival a deposit of 50 percent of the total sum, something not foreseen when we booked. We did not agree and payed only ten percent. No free Wifi in the hotel, neither in the lobby. The system to get paid wifi is rather complicated and doesn't function all the time well. So this is not a good hotel when you want to stay in contact with your business at home.
Very friendly staff, always attentive and helpful. Perfect setting. Pool could do with a clean. Restaurant unnecessarily expesive and consequently very quiet which limited the evening ambiance which had great potential - instead guest went to White Sands 10 minutes away for dinner. Spa prices were exorbitant even by UK prices.
No WiFi available in the rooms. Too secluded from any bars,or restaurants
Staff was very friendly, room was very clean, roomservice was ok, an adress to go back! It was very difficult to take a decent shower: sometimes the water was hot, two minutes later the water was very cold. We also informed the staff at the lobby.
Everything was perfect. None
Private and Quiet beach , Mountain bike very loud aircondition
The service and attention of hotel staff were really excellent.
