There are many things that i loved. Amongst it all the location is outstanding. The staff is a ++ The beds are so comfortable Its is just a bliss from a to z It is a bit expensive and my room was more of a regular room than a superior room
Quality modern room with a great rain shower. The beds were luxurious. Light switch was confusing. Need separate switch for the bathroom.
Great location to National Gallery, Piccadilly Square, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace and gardens. Contemporary style, very comfy bed, staff polite and helpful. Free "slow" internet in the room-it was fast enough! Rain shower head. The shower was a bit small so the splashing water would sometimes puddle on the floor. No other complaints!
A very friendly hotel
Perfect location for New Year, everything in walking distance, close to Trafalgar Square, easy access to Embankment for fireworks and New Year day parade passed front door...not to mention the hotel festivities, plenty going on in a stylish, refined way. We were only there 24 hours but thanks to location, facilities, easy relaxed feel of the hotel it was the ideal intensive enjoyment hoped for.
We had a lovely week-end stay at the Sofitel London st James.The location is great, staff all very friendly .We had a really nice room and the bed was so comfortable.

Its position It is not true that airconditioning system is controlled from the room. Actutally the system is not strong enough when there is a very warm climate in uk.

Beliggenheten er helt fantastisk i forhold til shopping, sighseeing og transport med både tog og undergrunn. Til tross for beliggenhet over Charing cross stasjon var det ikke noe støy fra denne. Fine rom med bra størrelse og bra fasiliteter. Vi fikk hjelp med en gang da det var noe galt med toalettet på rommet. Hotellet anbefales og jeg kommer gjerne hit igjen ved en senere anledning. Room service var ikke i hht beskrevet i brosjyren på rommet, noe som var skuffende.
Beliggenhet, lett å finne frem til og sentralt uansett hvor man skulle i byen. Høy standard på både rom og hotellet generelt. Vi valgte forhåndbetaling og fikk en meget gunstig pris. Mykere senger og rimeligere frokost.

Beliggenheten er meget god I forhold til det meste I London. Gådistanse til teater og severdigheter. Nærhet til buss og bane/tog. En rimelig frokost for en familie på fem medlemmer. Nok 1000 for frokost blir for mye. Vi var 6 netter på hotellet og spiste frokost på Starbucks til nok 300.
Service instillingen til personalet var veldig bra.Vi hadde gjort en feil ved bestilling og de lot oss bytte med noen andre med et motsatt problem, det ble derfor en vinn- vinn situasjon for ossalle. Beliggenheten var også veldig sentral og passet oss helt glimrende. Dørlås systemet var ikke helt pålitelig, dette var tydeligvis et kjent problematikk det at noen plastkort nøkler ikke alltid virket.
Lå veldig sentrel, froksoten var enkel men god. Til prisen var rommene ganske små.

Svært flott beliggenhet for vår weekend opphold i London. Rolig og svært sentralt på samme tid. God service fra alle ansatte :-) Vi bodde på 2 rom under oppholdet. Selve toalettene på begge rom var noe slitt. Litt korte senger og ikke mulig å velge 2 dyner.Treningsrommet kunne med fordel oppgraderes ved å ta ut noen av kondisjonsapparatene og sette inn benker og tyngre vekter og manualer.
De ansatte i resepsjonen var vennlige, hjelpsomme og ekte. Det at hotellet lå så sentralt at det var gangavstand til severdigheter og handlegater var en stor fordel. Nei faktisk ikke.
Beliggenhet. Trivelig rom. God frokost, Vanskelig å finne en rolig bar-plass innen hotellet på kveldstid.
Rommene var rene, store og fine! Hotellet var classy, innredning og interiør så utrolig bra ut og service ypperlig. Stort pluss for kaffemaskin, tilgang til datamaskin med gratis internett, tv med de fleste kanaler og musikk/radio. Fant ingen mulighet til å skru på varmekabler i gulvet. Det var iskaldt! Men en varm dusj gjorde susen.
Det har en veldig bra beligenhet, midt i sentrum. Personalet var serviceinnstilt og var alltid blide og hyggelige.
Bra hotell, god standard, men elendig personale. Som sagt elendig personale, Arrogante, trege og alt for dårlig service til det prisnivået.
Sentralt hotell med god standard på rommene Det var et forferdelig støv-innhold i lufta der, pga oppussing i hallen,burde vært skjermet mye mer, måtte bare oppholde oss på rommet ! Noen burde opplyst om dette på forhånd, ikke moro å ha med barn der da !Personalet var avmålt høflige, men virket arrogante, og de fant ikke reservasjonen før etter en stund da vi kom. "Are you sure you have come to the right hotel, Sir ?" Tror stedet passer best for forretningsreisende.

The location was perfect for us. We were taking a weekend break to go to the theatre and shopping. We could walk out of the hotel straight onto the street surrounded by everything we wanted. We were amazed by the excellent use of space within the hotel. It was very compact but well thought through and comfortable. The staff were very polite and helpful. The complimentary wine and cheese was a big plus for us too. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants location in the West End. A little noisy from the street at night but didn't matter too much as it was a leisure break and not business.
Location Location Location. Being in the center of town, I had the ability to stop off at Hotel Z to drop off bags, freshen up, take a break before moving on to next neighborhood on my itinerary. Tube stop directly to Heathrow a couple of blocks away made arriving and departing soooo easy. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Room was modern, quiet and clean. DEFINITELY plan on staying again. While I knew I had booked the smallest room, and was happy with it overall, the in ability to open a window for fresh air was a little frustrating. Issues with the a/c were promptly addressed, although an open window would of been a better solution. It was only because my stay was for 5 nights that this bothered me. Next visit I'll book a larger room with an open window. :-)
Terrific location. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. cool, funky vibe. small room (which I liked) The cool location also meant that it was occasionally hard to sleep it night with the noise from the busy street
The best part of the hotel was it's location. It is located in a great part of London, a very busy part of London. The staff was pretty nice and there were always around to help. Well the worst part of the place was probably the size of the room and the bed. I knew my room would be tiny but for the price I paid it was crazy. The room could barely fit your luggage and yourself. A constant maneuvering around everything. The bed was the worst bed I have ever slept in. Want to know what it is like to sleep on a rock or the ground? Well come to this hotel to find out. This bed was so stiff I would wake up every morning in some sort of back pain. It was ridiculous that this is possible in a modern hotel. It's a budget hotel but seriously just get a slightly softer bed as this was ludicrous.
Da vi ankom hotellet, fant de ikke vår reservasjon på sin data. Jeg hadde heldigvis med meg utskrift av reservasjonen vår, men måtte i ettertid diskutere pris med de. De ville nemlig belaste meg dobbel pris av hva jeg fikk oppgitt på reservasjonen min gjennom booking.com. Personalet beklaget ikke dette, noe som gjorde meg svært ukomfortabel. Håper ikke dette skjer igjen.
Lokalisering. Greit nok, selv om prisen er for høy. Frokost inkludert i prisen. Foretrekker å spise ute.

The location in Leicester Square was very nice, and the hotel seemed to be a popular place to visit. I received the worst treatment possible from the managerial staff. Firstly, even though they had my reservation, which was made and confirmed a month and a half in advance, they decided that they didn't have any room available for me to stay in when I arrived to check in. I found this to be very unprofessional since they could have called me or emailed me prior to my arrival at the hotel to give me a forewarning so that I could plan ahead as well. The situation was worsened by the staff then relaying this information to me in a very condescending manner in which they had the very unapologetic tone of "take it or leave it". Secondly, they decided that a fair way to "compensate" me would be by reserving a room in another hotel on my behalf, without any input from me regarding choice, and then giving me a ride to this new hotel. I specifically chose the W for my stay and did not choose the other hotel when making my initial plans. So, the manager felt he could take the payment for the room at the W, decide that they no longer have a room at the W, then deny me the choice of an alternative hotel, and all without the option of a refund. They said they were compensating me, but I feel that they cheated me greatly. It was terrible customer service. Eventually, I had no choice but to take their offer of staying at the other property, which I didn't want to stay in, since they were not going to make any room available for me at the W for the night. Truthfully, I feel there were a bunch of racial undertones and biases based on the unprofessional, condescending, unempathetic, and unapologetic tone of the manager and staff. I have stayed at many hotels around the world. This has been, by far, my worst experience with any hotel staff regarding a reservation.
Over charger $2k with a forced apology
