Fordeler: Rett foran t-banestasjon. Kun 1 stopp til O2 og direkte tilgang til sentrum. Komfortable og rene rom. God frokostbuffé, koselig restaurant og bar.

Fordeler: Wifi was good. Breakfast was pretty good - fair amount of selection (just don't take the bacon, as it's undercooked). It is located very closely to the underground (across the road).

Ulemper: Hard mattresses; would have liked it was softer, as it wasn't too comfortable. It was noisy from other rooms and cleaning staff in the hotel (their cleaning stuff was in the room next to mine). I wish there was a safety box in the room itself, not having to go downstairs to store your things safely.

Fordeler: we just have one day and a night in London. Arrived early at the hotel, the staff stored our luggage until we returned quite late in the evening to check in. Very convenient to be able to check in at any time. Right across the road from the tube station, very good location. Good and varied breakfast.

Ulemper: although the bar was open, no food available in the evening except pizza. The staff were not able to give us information on places to eat in the area.

Fordeler: Amazing location with train station in front of the building (access to Jubilee line). Hotel is brand new, room was spacious and clean.

Ulemper: Waiting time is ridiculous at their restaurant. 30min for a pizza! Food was good though.

Ulemper: When you cook pork meat,must be absolutely well done, so all the toxins get away , and it wasn’t well cooked, also would like to suggest more help in the bar. Had to wait 8 minutes to ask for a soda .

Fordeler: Location is very good - tube station just across the street; Westfields shopping mall is two stations away; very clean; great shower, staff generally very helpful, beds were comfortable and room cosy.

Ulemper: Breakfast - although nice; very pricey No phone in the room - so cannot contact reception and I guess not able to order room service Requested an early check - was not able to accommodate Rooms very small - but alright for me! In the immediate area - not much shops around

Fordeler: The location was excellent, right outside Canning town tube and bus station, the staff were friendly and helpful, everything works as it should and you can tell its new.

Ulemper: Couldn't eat breakfast as all the meat was pork, however, there were halal restaurants on the high street 5 minutes walk away

Ulemper: Just stayed there for £85 was going to book again for April only to find the price has gone up to£224 because there's an event on at the O2 shame on YOU.

Fordeler: We only stopped one night to go to a concert at the O2.We stopped at The Pilot in 2015 and it is much improved now.We had breakfast,my husband had a cooked breakfast and I had 2 poached eggs on toast asI don't eat meat and both were very nice.

Fordeler: The room was unique and tastefully set out, the bed was comfortable and having a controllable air con system was nice. Food was good and most staff were attentive and polite.

Ulemper: Not being able to ascertain the exact location from staff when we called on route after getting lost .

Fordeler: Very quirky setting: half a street of Georgian London (pub plus a row of terrace houses) totally surrounded by modern development. Spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated room, good food at a good price, friendly. Walking distance to Tube, riverbus, cable car.

Ulemper: A bit noisy but that's to be expected (pub).

Fordeler: The Pilot Inn is ideally placed for stays when visiting the O2. It has free parking. Excellent rooms, which are well stocked with good quality beverages and toiletries. The breakfast is scrummy!!! A great find for us, we will definitely go again

Ulemper: Are room was supposed to be a dock view ,but was the a view of the quay side. The staff were not helpful when I complained about the view from the room. Totally disregarded my complaint. The service at the bar was very slow,( I’m glad it wasn’t busy ) .

Ulemper: Access on and off the boat. This is restricted to two lifts, if its busy you have to wait.

Fordeler: Location great for Excel and Docklands. The superior double cabin was really very nice with a water view. Woodwork and panelling immaculate and carpets and room super clean. We expected quite a lot and they exceeded that! We will stay again. Great Italian restaurant just opposite across the dockside square.

Ulemper: A bit of a walk with luggage from rather expensive overnight parking (£20).

Fordeler: It was my wife’s 60th Birthday. The wine and chocolates was a very nice touch.

Ulemper: The air con did not work as it was supposed to. light bulbs in Cabin not working. Lots of little things missing like no tissues, only 2 tea bags. Room service did not clean the cabin on Saturday at all. And over charged for a Bottle of Peroni in the bar. All in all the yacht was a bit tired. For the money not a bargain.

Fordeler: Grei beliggenhet i forhold til tog inn til sentrum. Mange restauranter i nærheten. Flott romslig som med fantastisk utsikt. Hjelpsomt, hyggelig personale - kommer definitivt tilbake neste gang vi er i London:-)

Customer service was ridiculous, when we got there we were told by the manager that our Queen room was unavailable due to maintenance (how convenient) but instead of upgrading us for this inconvenience caused by themselves the manager wanted to downgrade us to two singles which I of course declined. We had to suggest an upgrade before his light bulb finally went on and agreed to upgrade us....very poor that as a manager you waited for a customer to suggest this. Hilton have really got to train their staff in customer service better. The standard is appalling now.

Ulemper: Even though we were very satisfied with the food, we suggest the food to vary a bit more - different type of sausages, fried eggs instead of scrambled eggs ...it's a small change which means a lot when staying a couple of days...

Fordeler: I had a superior room so that always helps. very comfortable with good views. Reception staff were exceedingly pleasant and helpful. Bar area very comfortable. I would definitely come back.

Ulemper: The only downside was that breakfast was good food-wise but the room was really noisy. My daughter and I moved as far from the front of the dining area as we could to escape the heat and the din!

Fordeler: I have satyed loads of times here and this time was my worst didn't get told there would be torist and protests going on till two days before my arrival it was a nightmare police everywhere, every time we left the hotel they ask as where we was going and for proof that we was saying it was a complete nightmare

Fordeler: Frokosten var ikke inkludert i bookingen, men den kjøpte vi fra dag til dag. Beliggenheten ligger noe langt fra sentrum, men passer oss bra. Kollektivtransporten fungere meget bra i London og også ut til Docklands, hvor hotellet ligger.

Ulemper: Frokosten var noe dyr.

Fordeler: Good location, not too busy, a few restaurants nearby if you wish to eat out, (or alternatively eat at hotel). Train station 2 minutes walk away, easy to jump on, change at Canning Town and travel into central London. Lovely food, with wide variety at breakfast. Excellent staff, friendly, helpful and professional.

Ulemper: Smoked bacon at the breakfast buffet, (nothing wrong with the cooking of it, it just isn't my personal preference).

Fordeler: The general feel ... all of it was great

Fordeler: It was worth for value for a family with breakfast.

Ulemper: The check in took extra 45 minutes due to room was not ready. The staff at front desk was not feeling sorry, they behaved as if it’s normal and I must expect this service delay. Secondly, I saw my credit card statement today and shocked seeing one additional charge GBP112 in my credit card from Novotel London excel. My payment were done upon check in itself and I have checked out with notifications on 29Aug. This charge is unacceptable. This is the second time I have issue for my reservations with booking.com as my previous stay with Hyatt place Dubai also was restless.

Fordeler: We just got married and went straight to hotel, when booking I said it’s our honeymoon. They upgraded our room for free and put rose petals and a towel design in the shape of a love heart. Which was totally unexpected was just expecting a rose or something but they went all out and made our wedding night so special. Everything was amazing.

Fordeler: Everything, perfect location, smart, clean, trendy, comfy, love the separate toilet and extra shower over bath. Nice touch having the water in rooms too and loved the massage chairs x

Ulemper: Fridge wasnt cold in our room and was a bit smelly.

Fordeler: Everything about this hotel was great - location, room, cleanliness, staff, etc. It exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be returning here!

Fordeler: Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Not as spacious as I would have expected them to be. The AC was on the lowest degree yet I was unable to sleep due to the heat. Staff were friendly, price was expensive as you’d expect in London. The location was quite far from the center but its a 2 min walk from the DLR station. Overall good stay.

Ulemper: There were no facilities to make hot drinks in the room. but the bar area on the ground floor provided all of the refreshments we required.

Ulemper: Rooms were on the small side and not particularly sound proof. No tea/coffee making facilities in room. Parking was extra and tricky to find. Only continental breakfast available.

Fordeler: It seems like a business hotel style but Holiday Inn Express Excel is more than that. Staffs are kind and friendly.

Ulemper: Buffet breakfast is not rocket science. The whole service the buffet was out of stock of most cooked foods, cutlery and crockery for hot drinks. Lots of inpatient customers, harassed staff and take the shine off an otherwise pleasant stay

Ulemper: Poor value for money. We booked last minute and were charged £211 for a double room including breakfast. No comparison to the Intercontinental 5 minutes away!! Room basic, more like a hostel/motel. Breakfast was appalling. Staff couldn't be bothered to refill juices (all empty), bread (2 slices left), hot food all poor.

Fordeler: I loved the grab bags at breakfast very simple to grab and go as I had a early check out so only had time for a small bowl of cereal Bed very comfortable bathroom clean a pleasant experience Ordered a burger at the bar was told they didn't serve food until 5.30 (it was 5pm) so no big deal she put my order in and I got my food shortly after 5.30 in the mean time I had a drink which was decent.

Ulemper: I didnt like the milk sachets as I have a fair amount of milk in tea so I have to use about 4 or 5 of them

Fordeler: Frokosten får terningkast 2.Hvis du ikke liker egg og bacon sliter du .Brød men hva skal du ha på ?? og for fint brød ikke noe grovt ..Heldig vis var der naturell yoghurt som jeg berget meg på med frokost blanding,(den ene dagen hadde de også posjons poser med usukret frokost blanding,men kun 1 dag .de andre dagene var det bare usunne med sukker i) .Så veldig usunn frokost ..

Ulemper: Frokosten burde være bedre til den prisen .grovt brød og litt kjøtt pålegg .Likte heller ikke vegg til vegg teppene på rommet de var gørr skitne.Pluss personalet burde kunne vite mer om turist ønsker .. Spurte hvilken bane vi skulle ta for å komme i en handle gate. Fikk til svar at det var butikker utenfor hotell området.Det blir for dårlig

Fordeler: Breakfast was great, good choices. The location for the O2 areana was perfect. The staff were super friendly. Parking was also excellent value for money. The room and bathroom were lovely and clean.

Ulemper: The bedding on the sofa bed was too small and did not cover both children. The hallways were a bit grubby and could do with a hoover.

Ulemper: The room was classed as a suite which it certainly wasn’t. On one day our tea, coffee and milk was replaced and clean towels were put in bathroom but the bed was left unmade and used coffee cups which were brought up to the room along with wine glasses were just left. Consider the cost for the three nights which was outrageous it was appalling.

Fordeler: Very friendly and helpful staff, nothing was too much for them.

Ulemper: The Food and drink was a bit pricey, but having said that the food was excellent, and plenty of it.

Ulemper: There was a very unusual smell in the bathroom that I had to report to reception on checking out. You are right next to London City Airport, so planes are very very close. The noise is outstanding. Windows in room are not triple glazed.

Fordeler: Romslige rom. Virkelig god restaurant med god frokost. De ansatte var profesjonelle. Alltid villig til å hjelpe deg. God valuta for pengene.

Ulemper: Beliggenheten var utfordrende! Det er litt av en spasertur til DLR.

Fordeler: There was nothing we liked about the hotel

Ulemper: This was by far the worst hotel we’ve stayed at!!! The service we received was terrible! Every time we asked about an enquiry, the staff were either rude or money always had to be involved. We asked if we could have cutleries brought up to our room, and they had such an attitude about it and told us that they couldn’t provide it for us because of “health and safety reasons”. Even that didn’t make any sense because people have the option to have their breakfast and eat UPSTAIRS WITH THEIR KNIFE AND FORK. What also made things worse was that there was no fridge, and the heater was broken. If you are trying to stay at a hotel for more than a day, I would highly suggest looking for a hotel that has the important things you need. Like having a window that opens would be great!!!! Like we felt trapped. It genuinely felt like there was no air coming in. We even asked if we could change rooms because of how cold things were in there, but no one listened. It wasn’t until the last day that they decided to do something about the heater. My boyfriend and I have stayed in many numerous hotels before, and have never experienced this kind of a service before. If it was me, I would honestly recommend staying somewhere else! No joke, I want all my money back.... because that hotel is the worst!

Fordeler: The room was great, the general service and room service too! Very clean, and warm and welcoming staff. Very close to East London main metro stations, which was perfect for me on that weekend. I also liked the view over the river when you go outside of the hotel. For those arriving or flying from London City airport, this hotel is perfectly located!

Ulemper: The price of course, because we always want to pay less in the end. But I didn't regret my choice anyway after spending those two nights at DoubleTree because they treat their customers very well.

Fordeler: Good area nice and clean

Ulemper: Charged me £100 for restaurants and breakfast that I didn’t use

Fordeler: Highly recommend. Easy to park and after a small walk to the excel to catch the tube very easy to get in to London.

Fordeler: Staff need to be better trained in language skills. As was very difficult understanding what she wanted to say but was helpful so not really her fault but I guess lack of training.

Ulemper: Rooms being too cramped and small. Had to change to a different 1 which was little bigger.

Fordeler: Helpful and friendly staff and very nice breakfast

Ulemper: Nothing, everything was perfect

Fordeler: The restaurant staff were very nice

Ulemper: Due to confusion of how many guests (paper work clearly said 2 & 1 4 year old) we was then placed in to a room with only a double bed made up. Had to go and request someone make the sofa bed up.

Fordeler: The breakfast is delicious and good room after a long day

Ulemper: No free mineral water

Fordeler: Helt greit og fint hotell

Ulemper: Langt unna selve sentrum. Må ta tog og undergrunds banen for å komme inn.

Fordeler: The rooms were lovely we loved our room just a bit gutted about the view wish we had a room with a better view but it was not a big deal

Ulemper: The staff were lovely and very helpful and the place was well lookd after and very clean.

Fordeler: Meget bra valuta for pengene og praktisk. God service, gratis frokost, bra beliggenhet i forhold til ExCel arrangementer og flyplass. Litt upraktisk for å besøke sentrum av London men ellers ingen klager!

Fordeler: Rooms are simple but comfortable. Buffet breakfast. Staff pleasant.

Ulemper: It's right beside London City airport so good if you're using that. Otherwise I found it a. It in the middle of nowhere so not a great location if you're a tourist. Having said that it's also right beside the DLR you can use that to get you where you want.

Fordeler: Good location

Ulemper: Extremely Spartan

Fordeler: The breakfest was a surprise. So good and fresh. Better than in many higher class hotels

Ulemper: It was not possible to book 2 rooms in one go on internet. Hence I booked two two times one room on my name which caused quite some confusion at the beginning. Also annoiyng was that the hotel was overbooked when we arrived. It ended up that I got a disabled room.

Fordeler: I didn't really like anything except that the airport was close by.

Ulemper: I couldn't beive there was only 30 minutes of free wifi. AND no TELEPHONE. The TV looked like a computer. Don't let me continue.

Fordeler: Our second year here for the weekend of the Ride 100 London Surrey, parking is reasonable however very tight, we paid £7.50 for 24hrs so checked in quite late, seems a busy hotel particularly due to the cycle event and Excel being on the doorstep, any event there makes this the ideal place to stay as it's a walk to Excel. right next to city airport and close to DLR, noise over night was not an issue in our room, although the train runs till midnight we could hear it didn't bother us, stayed in room 227.

Ulemper: The Car Park is inadequate however there is parking at Excel which is just a 5 min walk.
