Fordeler: We really enjoyed our overnight stay. The property was easy to find, the parking for the car was right at the door and check in was simple. The room was lovely and clean, the beds were comfortable with good quality bedding. The block out curtains meant we were able to get a nice sleep in in the morning. We opted to pay the extra for breakfast and I’m glad we did. The Full English was delicious and very generous in size. There was a great assortment of pastries & baked items for the Continental breakfast also. I highly recommend staying here.

Fordeler: The proprietors were lovely. The best part of staying there was they picked us up from the airport one day and drove us there the next for our flight out. It was so nice not to have to worry about transportation. Breakfast was made to order and very good. Bed was comfortable. Room spacious enough. Good restaurants in walking distance.

Fordeler: Comfortable, efficient room conveniently located near the Gatwick airport in the neighboring town of Horley. Made-to-order breakfast was delicious. Hosts picked us up and delivered us back to Gatwick airport. The B&B is a 10 minute walk into Horley town with a variety of restaurants.

Fordeler: Everything was cozy and wonderful about this place. The host was very courteous. They even gave me one of the bigger rooms and it was probably the best bed i slept in since the beginning of my vacation. Breakfast was delicious.

Fordeler: they kindly allowed me to store my bags between check-out and my late afternoon flight. the bathroom was very clean. lovely house.

Ulemper: •WIFI: the wifi internet was super slow, and then shut down entirely. unacceptable in a developed country. •DIRTY: there was a old fan in the room that turned on, but didn't blow any air. the wiring around the fan was entirely coated in dust. disgusting. it clearly had not been cleaned in months, which shows a lack of attention to detail. •CHECKOUT: checkout is at 10am. considering people have afternoon flights, would it really kill them to allow guest to checkout at 11am or noon? i never heard of a 10am checkout at such a small guest house. •ODD: the owner quoted a 7 pound taxi to the airport but it was 8. i don't care about the money, but this again shows a lack of attention to detail considering they must send several people to the airport daily. not knowing the price of such a core part of the stay seems strange.

Fordeler: The downstairs & landing & also the bathroom were clean & modern.

Ulemper: The room was grubby with broken furniture. The 2 chairs in the room were old & stained. The shower was too small.

Ulemper: Close to pubs and eateries. Handy for the airport. Parking availability.

Fordeler: Superb place , close to the centre of town but handy for the airport too. Clean tidy and comfortable.

Ulemper: Not a complaint and it may be listed in the hotel details but for breakfast only options are continental, eggs and kippers. Wasn't an issue for me but don't be expecting a full English......

Fordeler: From the moment we arrived Quasim was so friendly and helpful. We stayed at The Lawn Guest House as we were due to fly from Gatwick early the following morning. The location was great, literally 5 minutes drive to the airport. We are quite new to travel and Quasim helped us so much, booking us a taxi (driven by Quasims mum, she was lovely too) to take us to the airport, explaining what we had to do and where we had to go. He really did settle my nerves. We also left our vehicle at the Lawn Guest House for the duration of our holiday and it was well looked after. Again nothing for us to worry about. Our room was clean and comfortable, unfortunately for us the people in the room above or behind us were quite noisy, so we didn't get a lot of sleep, but this is no reflection on the property at all. Its just bad luck.

Ulemper: We were really happy with our stay. For the money that we paid, I would not have expected anymore. The owner, was friendly and so helpful and the room clean and comfortable. What more can you ask for?

Fordeler: Everything about our stay was excellent the host was very friendly and helpful, our room was spacious and spotlessly clean and we would definitely recommend staying at this property.

Fordeler: I stayed here for one night before a flight from Gatwick. There’s lots of places to eat nearby. The breakfast was perfect and only £5 and for £8 I got a lift to the airport too. Great host. Great place. Would come again.

Fordeler: Quite impressed with the property. Very helpful staff, friendly, clean and Comfortable. (I didn't have breakfast -but had a meal the previous evening which was very good. ). Also there's a Shuttle Mini bus service to Gatwick Airport which costs £6 (October 2019).

Ulemper: the room was very hot, a little smelly and no soap - nothing that couldn't be fixed there and then I'm sure, but I arrived late and was very tired to inform the staff at the time.

Fordeler: The room was small but adequate, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the transfers from and to the airport we're on time and quick.

Ulemper: The door to my room was hard to close. A shower in the room would be good and a bit more space. Overall the room was very small but clean and comfy.

Fordeler: Everything about this hotel is excellent, transfer to and from airport was very prompt and nice friendly staff. Will definitely book again next year.

Fordeler: The location is excellent. Although I arrived in the middle of the night the courtesy bus took no time at all to pick me up. Breakfast was fine but not outstanding in any way. The whole place had an air of efficiency. The bathroom was small but everything worked well and was clean.

Ulemper: It's a long time since I stayed in such a small room. I had two cases and the only place I could put them in the room was up against the door. Thank goodness there wasn't a fire. That being said I was only staying one night and the room was clean, and the (single) bed confortable enough

Fordeler: Great proximity to the airport and very convenient shuttle to get to my flight in the morning. Really comfortable sleep and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Fordeler: Well located, clean and convenient - excellent value for money. Despite the fact that we didn’t interact with the hosts in person as we arrived after check in had closed, the communication via booking.com and the notes they left meant everything was seamless in terms of entry and then the transfer to the airport in the morning. Complimentary taxi to the airport was a big factor in our booking. Tea and coffee facilities in the room which were helpful for the early start.

Ulemper: Nothing. It’s dated in terms of decor so some guests may not like that, same with the shared bathrooms. But that’s all advertised and you can’t complain for the price.

Ulemper: Our room was in a motel unit added to the side of the hotel facing onto the driveway.

Fordeler: The property served our purpose, close to Gatwick. The room was adequate for a short stay. The staff were friendly and informative.

Fordeler: Bed extremely comfortable. Excellent breakfast, homemade cake & tea on arrival and extremely clean house.

Fordeler: The welcome the smooth airport transfer. Decor. Relaxed varied breakfast. A very good nights sleep.

Ulemper: I struggled with the door lock on my room very stiff. I would have preferred en-suite but realised it would not always be possible in an old house.

Fordeler: The efficiency in the running of the guest house was plain to see from check in to check out. The Art Deco theme was really classy and made such a change from the usual boring chintz curtains and pine furniture. The transport included to and from Gatwick was an added bonus.

Ulemper: Understandably you do have to pay extra for parking but not a criticism

Fordeler: Typically British. Very cozy structure - very polite and competent staff. Picture truly respect rooms and place. Silent and just a 5 min walk off the city centre

Fordeler: Wendy kindly picked us up from the station and checked us in. She then took us to the airport early on a cold morning! Far better experience than sitting in a charmless hotel in Gatwick.

Fordeler: Friendly and accommodating staff, very clean and well maintained property and close to where I wanted to be.

Ulemper: The info on free shuttle was a bit misleading as it only ran up to a certain time, which was earlier than my arrival time. However it was easily remedied so no real hassle.

If you are driving a Range Rover or big car don’t go on to upper parking its a night mare right ,square corners , tight space to ramp , no warning signs of this , you only realise when you turn to go up the ramp. Top of car park wall no protection on wall so scrapes car as space so tight to get round.

Ulemper: Hotel bus only ran every 45 minutes from the terminal.

Fordeler: Functional hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Perfect for an overnight airport stopover. The car park seemed small but didn't have any problem finding a space late evening.

Ulemper: Room 202 was VERY noisy. I could not sleep due to the window in the passage way being open. I did not discover this until I left the room. I booked out at 03:50 as it was hopeless to try and sleep. I had to be up at 05:30 to get to Gatwick airport.

Fordeler: We left early so have no idea what the breakfast was like. The trip from the airport was actually cheaper by taxi when we arrived than it was to be ferried back next morning by the hotel - but it was handy.

Ulemper: The rooms very much lack soundproofing. We were close to the stair so it was noisy at times. There isn`t a great deal to do in the area although it WAS a Sunday we were there.

Ulemper: Staff booked me for 0430 shuttle to Gatwick airport. When shuttle arrived there was no room for me so the shuttle did not take me, nearly got late for my flight as i had to take a taxi. No staff to sort it, i ended up paying for shuttle and a taxi.

Fordeler: The Indian food is really good! Other than being a good location with a air price, the food is the main reason I stay there when having to use Gatwick!

Ulemper: Difficulty understanding the staff over the phone. Did not have good reception on Wi-Fi in the room. There was a charge for shuttle pick up at the airport and drop off that was not indicated on the email notifications. There are no outlets near the bed.

Ulemper: Reception and bar ateas stank. Wifi inadequate to use in room - had to go to bar area to get signal. Hotel advertises a shuttle service. However the pickup at airport is "on request" . That doesn't work for me - coming from Canada - I did not have UK phone capabilities. Hollow offer.

Fordeler: Not much we had little choice as other hotels booked

Fordeler: We arrived at 930 and before I booked I checked to see if they had food, the website said restaurant and room service neither was open ona Saturday night, after along day of traveling. The staff was less than friendly or helpful! The walls are paper thin we could here conversations and people coughing throughout the night. I’ve stayed at Airbnb in the area with better hosts , nicer facilities, cleaner and quieter! Would not stay there again and do not recommend!

Fordeler: Picture and the hotel is totally different

Ulemper: The receptionist was v unfriendly, like he was doing me a favor. I emailed them in the morning to find out about shuttle services and didn’t receive a reply, and hassled to find my way to the hotel. I would definitely not stay there again!

Fordeler: good location when taking an early flight out of Gatwick. Price-Value is very good.

Fordeler: Wasn't expecting the bar & food service. Very pleasant & a good start to our holiday

Fordeler: Buss stopper like utenfor inngangsdøren. God romstørrelse, bra utvalg selv om vi var en av de siste til frokost. Romslig hotell.

Ulemper: I ask for an iron , and i am still waiting for it

Fordeler: Repeat customer and always happy. Just one thing this visit, no early morning call. Good job I put phone alarm on. Not a big issue.

Ulemper: Dingy, mediocre staff, inadequate supplies (toilet paper was scarce), over priced mediocre food, thin walls
