Ulemper: "I requested a basinet for my infant daughter and I paid a total of $98.93 extra, but on the plane they told me they didn't know anything about that and they didn't have any basinet. I called Swiss as soon as I landed, and I've told my request was sent but it was never confirmed. They also told me they will send me an email when the basinet for the return flight is confirmed. At this point, I'm not even sure what I paid the $98.93 for."

Ulemper: "I ordered vegan food, no meat , dairy free. On my trip from Boston to Zurich I received vegan food. On my way fro Zurich to Belgrade I was told” sorry we do not have any vegan food, “ Also, I was charged $60 for my check in one bag,. Not expectable."
Fordeler: "flight was totally fine. Thanks to Swiss hotline, they could find my booking and send me the documents some hours before take off."
Ulemper: "Kayak has asked for my e-mail and phone number which I provided but never received any order confirmation. Finally it seemed that my flight was never booked. Unluckily Kayak did not forward my contact details to the other brookers in between and definitely not to Swiss. Never Kayak again."

Ulemper: "Getting from one the deplaning pad to a gate on the opposite side of the airport was daunting given that we were running 1/2 hour behind schedule. We made it with barely enough time, but our luggage did not."
Fordeler: "Excellent airline. The flights are always on time and the email notifications make it easy to print out boarding passes and go right to the gate."

Ulemper: "The seating was almost unbearable. So small and cramped. Arm rest didn’t go all the way up so very hard to cuddle with my seat mate (my daughter). I couldn’t even put my arms by my side without pushing my seat neighbors off. Seat in front of me was in my lap. Hard to get out of seat to use restroom. Way to tight. Long flight from Boston to Zurich was so hard to bear. I understand making money...but this is ridiculous!!"
Ulemper: "Cabin temperature was a little hot"
Ulemper: "Checked in online. Needed to drop my snowboard bag off. I had 2 hrs...got in the express line to drop bags with ticket. They kept taking people from every other line in front of us. Took 1 hr to drop a bag. Got through security line and told my boarding pass is no good. 30 min before flight. Back to Swiss. Have a meltdown and finally they help. Now I’m in Geneva and my bags in Zurich..."
Fordeler: "On time; everyone friendly and helpful."
Fordeler: "I bought 2 tikets from Chicago to oscow and back for me and for my son. I live in USA, son lived in Russia but he received immigration visa and I had plan fly to USA with him. From Chicago I used my ticket and say SWISS staff what my son will have trip only from Moscow. I paid for 2 tickets around $1700. Today when we should have trip back to USA, SWISS company said what ticket for my son do not exsist. And I spent for new ticket 220000 rubles about $3600. Nobody in SWISS company do not said me what my tocket for son canceled. I am shoked !!!"
Fordeler: "Swiss took care of your mistake, booked on subsequent flight."
Ulemper: "No idea a you never actually delivered a ticket. Flight over sold, Swiss had no record of the booking. KAYAK screwed up."
Fordeler: "It was a great flight. Even the food wad good, especially the snacks!"
Fordeler: "When checking in, I was upgraded to business without knowing it until I looked at my boarding passes. This was a good surprise of course."
Fordeler: "I thought Swiss did a nice job. The people were kind and the service was excellent. The meals were great. I never wanted for anything. The entertainment was also very nice."

Fordeler: "The flight attendants were extremely polite . Great service i love my accommodation in Business class . Very clean , punctual, comfortable, up dates by pilot frequently. Over all a hard work TEAM of Flight Attendants. Thank You to all of them."

Ulemper: "Can't think of anything"
Fordeler: "My luggage was lost for two days on the flight from Tampa to Zurich and/or Zurich to Naples. It was delivered by the end of the second day. But before that I found out I could not choose seats online for any of the Swiss Air Flights to and from Europe. It "had to be done" at the airport. Why? Never explained. I called Travis International, the agency booking the flights. Totally useless conversation resulted with no explanation."
Ulemper: "The Flights were longer than other airlines taking similar routes. The routing was absurd. To go from Naples to Munich and then turn around and go to Zurich before the 10 hour trip to Tampa made no sense. Lousy routing and customer service. Eidelswiss apparently is a lower-end branch of Swiss Air. My airfare was as much as and more than my other friends who flew Delta, for instance. Flights on other airlines did not take 10 hours from Zurich to Tampa. I lost the ticket receipts and could not claim anything for the items I bought to try get through the two full days without luggage, even though the airlines has a record of the claim. Outrageous!!"
Fordeler: "The staff was just fabulous! Very nice and sincere. Beautiful smiles. I admired the lipstick on one and she came back and had the name of it written down for me. MAC here I come."
Fordeler: "I had a super-short connection from Stockholm at Zurich (going to JFK), and I just assumed I'd have to be rebooted, but they held the plane for all of us! Entertainment was excellent, service was great - I really like the food, although I don't eat well on flights. Comfortable - I slept for a few hours. Really great experience (until I hit customs in JFK, but SwissAir has no influence on that :) )"

Fordeler: "We liked the crew, and the service and the food. We liked the screens and the choice of movies and entertainment."

Fordeler: "This is how my trip started that day. Missed my checkin window by 10 mins do to waiting in traffic for 45 mins, because of wreck. Got to the ticket counter at 8:35 and my flight my was set to take of at 9:30. There wear others in the same boat as me, we where all flying with American. I will Never ever fly with American again! The Lady was so rude then she said we were disgrutle when we ask to speak to a manger about trying to board even though or flight didnt leave until 9:30. Not Military Friendly at all. So I ran down to Lufthansa and talk with a guy at the ticket counter that was understanding of the sistuation, he told me what to do once a Book my trip through Kayak he checked me in and got me right to the front and on the plane for the next flight that left 2 hours after my missed flight. I book my trip and got through Tsa all before my flight with american even took off. When I boared the plane the cabin crew was very helpful and laughing and joking with the passagners their smiles brighten my day and made me feel at easy. I was stressed out about missing my flight with American Airlines and that lady at the ticket counter that when on got my flight with Lufthanse I felt like they were my friends and that I have been flying with them before. I will always use Lufthansa when fliying back home back to the states! Thank you to flight crew and men and women at the ticket counters!!"
Ulemper: "If I could change one thing it would be better food, or the drink protion size or just give out canned drinks. But over all the best flight I have taken in a long time!!"

Ulemper: "Make a rule that people cannot put their seats back. People in front of us were rude and kept their seats back the entire flight, even after we nicely asked them to not have the seats back so far. Would prefer that seats did not move at all. I would never recline my seat in consideration for the person behind me. On an 11 hour flight, this is a big deal."
Ulemper: "Only reason I chose Lufthansa was that I was informed that 23kg of checked in luggage was included. It was NOT. I don't care whose fault it is. Lufthansa still says that this is included on their website. I demand reimbursement."
Ulemper: "My flt from DEN was delayed so I missed my connection - it didn't happen."

Ulemper: "The arm rests on either side of my seat where closed so I had limited mobility in my seat (by closed I mean they didn’t move and had no open space between where your arm sits and the top of the chair)"
Ulemper: "Went First Class. What a joke! Coach seats & service. Only difference is they leave the middle seat empty. This appears to be the European standard (we flew on 3 different airlines) for 1st Class within Europe flights. Save your money, fly coach within Europe."
Ulemper: "There were not enough vegetarian options, so I had only bread, butter, and dessert."

Ulemper: "Very cold. Always very cold in premium economy section on LH 747-8."
Ulemper: "Missed my flight by 2 minutes and couldn’t find any representatives to help me determine my options. Was left to figure it out in my own."

Ulemper: "Didn't like the fruit dish or the liverwurst type meat."

Ulemper: "The rows were so close together it was hard to get in and out of your row. If the seat in front of you reclined, the t.v. was 9 inches in front of your face."

Fordeler: "The free entertainment sections were good with recent movies. The planes were on schedule and I made all my connections which was great"
Ulemper: "The plane was older 747-400 but that is no excuse for the layers of dirt or dust on the air vents and ceilings. I actually took a photos and will be forwarding to Lufthansa. The couple in front of us actually took a wet wipe and wiped down there area and ceiling. Also the boarding process was a mess we actually were taken by bus to the aircraft that was at the freight depot and had to climb stairs to get on the 747. I’m not sure how they handle the passengers with mobility issues. First time flying with a European airline and I was told the service was better not on this flight."
Ulemper: "After arranging seat and checking it over and over for months to be sure it was a right window, for medical reasons, they took it away from me and gave me one which bumped the nerve damage in my arm. They said it was their agent's error but did nothing about it."
Fordeler: "The service was excellent. On time and very efficient crew."

Ulemper: "My luggage didn’t arrived in Santiago And it was so frustrating start my vacation Here without medicines, winter clothes, Phones cables and chargers etc et I would like to know When I can have my suitcases"

Ulemper: "We couldn't check in for the next flight when we departed from Oslo. Disappointed we had to wait until arriving in Frankfurt. Something about not being partner airlines."

Fordeler: "On a flight from Oslo to Germany to Charlotte, we only had 55 minutes to connect in Germany. Lufthansa held our plane due to their error in some runway and docking issues and we, as well as 25 other were escorted to our connection by Lufthansa staff. Excellent customer service even though it was their fault. They just did the right thing and did it well."
Ulemper: "I would have expected that there be much more time for gate connections. If you have ever been in the Munich airport, it is very large and navigation takes time.."
Fordeler: "Our flight from Frankfort to Munich was late. Luftansa sent a representative to our flight to make sure we and others from our flight got on to the flight to Charlotte. How awesome! Plane needs more leg room."
Fordeler: "The crew were very kind and helpful. The flight was prompt. The food was good and the entertainment kept me busy on a long flight."
Ulemper: "I couldn't use my personal headphones as the euro adapter did not work with theirs. The provided head phones worked but I missed the noise cancelling feature of mine."
Fordeler: "After so many domestic flights of being shuffled around and interacting with flight attendants that seem to not like their jobs much and passenger's are just an annoyance, flying abroad on Luftansa was quite a different experience! The flight attendants were polished, professional, and actually wanted to provide a service. Their interactions made me feel like I was cared about and that they wanted my unique needs to be met. This made a 10 hour flight an enjoyable experience which I certainly didn't anticipate."
Fordeler: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, I needed assistance to the boarding gate. The attendants were very helpful and courteous."
Fordeler: "Snacks and drinks were provided even though the flight lasted about an hour."

Ulemper: "I was switched seats against my will on board! Although i reserved the seat ahead of time when i got in i was pretty much forced to sit somewhere else. The staff handled the sitution in a very poor manner!"

Ulemper: "There was no entertainment unless you paid for it. We already pay enough for our tickets to fly and entertainment should be included and not another added expense, especially for families that already pay so much for their flights!"
Fordeler: "Everything was awesome best flight i had in my life."
Ulemper: "Booked a ticket with luggage and got email saying I am at economy class. When got to check in told me I have economy light and I had to pay again for luggage. Dissaster. Contacted priceline- did not care."
Fordeler: "Nothing, we never got to go on our flight to Vienna. The only good thing is the manager, Servando, found us an alternative route after some delay. Even then, we had to haggle and really fight for fair treatment for a mistake that was 100% the airline's fault."
Ulemper: "Our seats were involuntarily given away by the airport staff. We were never notified until we were scanning our tickets to board in. At that time, we had already checked in and received our boarding passes, as well as checking in 3 bags while we were traveling with a large group. There was no way we wanted to volunteer our seats, especially since we had a transfer flight to catch. We clearly stated we did NOT want to volunteer our seats at the ticket counter. No staff notified us until we were about to get on the plane to board. The flight supervisor was very rude and unprofessional, offering us no alternative solutions. I was really disappointed with such a grievous mistake by the airline, and I would not recommend flying Austrian Airlines unless it was absolutely the only airline available. They need to fix their processes for authorizing when they volunteer a passenger's seat. This caused our group a lot of stress and almost became a logistical nightmare."

Ulemper: "Entertainment options are limited. Austrian flight attendants were quite grumpy on this flight."

Ulemper: "That they charge you for luggage when international flight accepts one bag per person!!! this is Nickle and diming people."

No option to pay for a second luggage; the company website very unclear about the luggage policy; no contact information as well as no web payment service; days before my flight, spent a lot of time and efforts to know that I could pay for a second luggage at the airport on my departure; 2. Paid $120 or so for the second luggage!!!??? After decades flying Austrian I will try switching to your competitors."

Fordeler: "Snacks in board included in the price. Super nice crew team. Unlike British airways where prices are higher, on longer flights there is no free refreshments and crew staff were unpleasant."
Ulemper: "Very small and old plane. Uncomfortable seats. Hand luggage bigger than small backpack not permitted on the board."
Ulemper: "Boarding in Vienna was completely unorganized. Received zero instruction from crew on new boarding information."
Ulemper: "Maybe I should ask for vegetarian meal, because the meal I got was not tasty at all."

Ulemper: "I was not aware of additional luggage charges when I booked my ticket. It would be helpful to have a warning about that and the fact that if you do not prepay online you are charged double. I also was not aware of the type of a ticket I booked, e.g. Economy light and what it meant for luggage fees."

Ulemper: "I paid a premium to book a direct flight (ages ago) and then had to rerouted last minute (same day) with no reason given other than "it's our fault". I inquired about paying to change destination city and or seat to a premium seat (for the 9+ hour flight) when I recvd the reservations for the new flights that were made at the airport around 8am for flights that left at around noon and 3pm. I was told no better seat(s) was available. However, a half hour before the flight was boarded several announcements were made regarding all the upgrades that were available. Liars annoy me."

Ulemper: "The seat comfort and closeness of the passengers is terrible. And makes for a stressful and painful flight."
Fordeler: "The crew worked so hard and were always ready to do more for any problem that arose, be it, mothers with babies, the elderly and infirm, the less than gracious occasional passenger, or younger children. The entertaining things on the individual screens also helped make the long periods of sitting more manageable for young and old."
Ulemper: "I didn't like how the passengers in general, left the cabin of the plane in such a mess! The crew came through several times for refuse, so I couldn't understand. Leaving pillows and blankets should be the only thing to clear out. Maybe a note on the TV screen could say, "a tidy plane helps flights be on time :-)""
Ulemper: "Flight cancelled morning of the flight and our direct flight on Austrian Air turned into a flight on Lufthansa with a layover in Munich. Not pleased with their handling of the situation and their very blasé customer service"

Ulemper: "Passport control in Vienna was completely disorganized. This is not an Austrian Air issue. Look to Disney World for how to line up large groups of people. Yes, I know Air Baltic is low fare. I have never paid for water on a flight. At least the WC was included in the fare."
Ulemper: "Flight was canceled and I was rebooked to another airline. Terrible customer service too, polite and sorry, but only repeating their statements over and over again."
Ulemper: "It was advertised as Austrian Airlines but when the details came through afterwards only then did it state that it was a United Airlines flight. So, I can't rate this flight because it had nothing to do with Austrian Airlines. You need to update your site so that it clearly states "Operated by..." when people are booking."

Ulemper: "Besides the seat relative comfort, it did not recline much at all, i wondered what the extra money (at least $5 or $600) got us. The food, wine/ beer service was same as regular economy, the boarding took place at same time as economy, no drink before take-off if only sparkling water. And the plane was old generation 747 and the entertainment was same vintage: screen was not very bright and the selection of films was poor. No plug to charge electronics. We were disappointed with KLM when comparing with other airline companies offerings when you book in Premium Economy."
Ulemper: "Landlords gave an unpleasant service! Which continued with late of 50min of the flight, they didn’t do anything to help/ to provide the passengers the answers. The food was cold It was comfort place to sit. Bad experience with KLM"

Fordeler: "The aircraft felt clean and quite spacious (decent legroom). Cabin crew was friendly and everything went as expected. Bonus points for the Beemster cheese sandwich (I was totally disappointed when they served the food, but more than pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cheese - I even bought some afterwards, from the Albert Heijn just outside the security area)."
Ulemper: "Very odd queue separation at boarding. Passengers were divided in 5 lanes, depending on their seating area withing the plane (for a more efficient boarding, I presume) but, by the time we all got to the actual aircraft, we formed another queue in the boarding bridge so it didn't feel like any time was saved or anything."
Ulemper: "The cabin crew was racist! She asked me to move from a seat because she wanted another guy ( obviously from her country ) to take it! Rude and racist."

Ulemper: "Not that I cared at the time but having been asked for a rating on “entertainment” - there was none. Cheap and cheerful really. No extras over the likes of RyanAir."

Ulemper: "My check in luggage was in very bad condition when I receive it. My clothes were all wet and they got bab by each other’s colour. Many clothes are not in a condition to wear now. Those were expensive and I had a big loss because of that."

Ulemper: "It was really unclear which desk to use at Birmingham airport to check in. It was extremely stressful for a first time flier as I had no idea what to do - the desk location wasn't marked clearly and when no staff were there it wasn't clear that the desk was open."
Ulemper: "KLM had bumped us to a later flight for no reason and again we had to call with a long wait to get our original connection restored, However, we did not get boarding passes during checking in Europe and thus had to go outside security in Detroit to the main check-in gate and wait 30 minutes to get the error resolved. Then it was back thorough security and a rush to the gate to get there in time to board. Lost our original seat assignment and wound up in the last row at the tail of the plane. Extremely poor coordination between KLM and Delta who operated the flight."

Ulemper: "I was really disappointed at finding out at luggage check-in that I had to pay extra (£60.00) for my one regular-size suitcase. On the return flight I was told that this amount would be - as it turned out in my case - less than half, if I called SAS a day before departure. Why did I have to pay for the checked luggage at all?"
Fordeler: "It was100 % flawless and I recommend the SAS airline to all. The airline staff is great and the food is good."
Ulemper: "As previously stated, I think the airline should do a better job in answering phone calls. If they do answer the phone (1-800-221-2350), they either put you on hold for a whole day or, if you leave your phone no. and name to have them call you back, they never do . I am not the only person who has this experience. It is too bad because if this continues, the airline will loose business and I would hate to see that. However, I still will use KAYAK"
Ulemper: "flight was delay for 30 mins. then another 30 mins because there are 15 passenger that miss their flight due to delay or there is not enough flight to transport them to Longyearbyen the next day. We are force to wait a total of more then a hour to board them and stuck on plane. And ofcuase when we landed. My SAS go luggage is last to come out because the late arrival passengers luggage all come out ahead. It is a most terrible experience I ever had with a SAS flight. Might as well consider flying norwegian airline!"
Ulemper: "Tried THREE hours to get a phone picked up to cancel my flight the day before this scheduled flight. My friends booked with Expedia the exact itinerary and were able to reach a human and we're told that SAS always reimburses for cancellations. I finally emailed vayamas/kayak to cancel and 5 days later received a reply that there was no cancellation refund. Apparently Kayak provides a no communication/no refund policy. My travel companion had the opposite experience with Expedia."
