Ulemper: "Hello- The system for online checking was down (I think) it took a lot of time to check in. By the time we got to passport control, there was a huge line and an hour and half was left before take off. Anyways we joined the line. Half way through, 45 min before flight (flight was eventually delayed for an hour I think but we did not know that at the time) we realized that we were definetly going to get late and were looking for any Emirates person (whilst in line) who could guide us. Eventually someone did came and told a group (some way ahead of us) that people flying to Lahore and Karachi can go to another office for passport control (we ran to that office). I believe instead of sending 1 person to a line of say 300+ people to fetch for people for Lahore and Karachi can devise a contingent plan for these kind of situations. Maybe use a hand held digital board asking passengers with Flight no:XXX to head to a place so and so. Maybe megaphone can be used. Instead of passenger anxiously trying to get to 1 person whilst keeping in line to get some important information. In flight I used the button twice to call a crew member for some juice and water. But nobody came. But that might be understandable as there was a lot going on some 1 hour after dinner I think and is not a big problem. Don't know what kind of coordination they have with Dubai airport staff, seemed least bothered."
Fordeler: "Nothing comfort level very low. Very poor service. Looks like how to make more money by robbing customers"
Ulemper: "Bought the ticket from internet after paying found baggage allowance only 20kg tried to contact airline additional 10 kg luggage price was more than the price of ticket. Seating was awfully I am 6'3" did not fit in middle seat requested several times for isle seat my legs were sticking out each time I have to get up to let pass the passengers and staff safety hazard. Have to pay additional 70 pounds sterling for under 3kg."

Ulemper: "Emirates of a few years ago was more comfortable and the rewards scheme was more generous. I hope they can think about giving Uae residents a fairer shake as we seem to pay a lot more for flights. Silver members used to get access to lounges but not anymore?? Taking things away feels worse than if we never had it before. Abu Dhabi Doha and Sharjah are all near and cheaper to dxb and it’s tempting to switch as they offer a comprable service. Also dxb is overcrowded itd a long taxi and walk depending on your gate."

Fordeler: "Emirates is my carrier of choice, and that's due to their continued service standards, friendliness and rates. This flight was pretty empty so service was even better and I was able to spread myself out. Also, well done to the crew. They continue to maintain high standards."
Ulemper: "This is the first time it's happened to me, but I was scheduled to leave Oslo on Wednesday, but Emirates cancelled my flight and put me on the next one. It would have been alright had they offered some sort of compensation or made it up to me in one way or another, but that was not going to happen. They cancelled and the cost was on me (as per the T's & C's I was told) and that was pretty much that. Here's a hint, it seems like their Scandinavian flights are underperforming and in a cost saving effort, they're randomly cancelling flights. I subsequently found out they did it to someone else in the area causing them to miss two days of a pre-booked vacation. So, if they cancel, it's going to cost you a lot more in a city like Oslo to wait a day - not to mention the costs involved in missing work or vacation, so maybe shop around then. I still like Emirates, but I'm feeling a little burnt after this episode."

Finally I nearly made it to the gate, on the bus and on the plane. It did not give me the chance to relax at the lounge as I paid for a business class ticket. I felt not being taken care of properly and as expected."

We have conveyed the seriousness of the matter to the Airline but still no response. Very disappointing experience."

Ulemper: "I have been flying Turkish Air quite a bit since 2011. I have noticed that on some shorter flights they are using newer planes with a bit more leg room, but on their longer flights (Like the one I take quite a bit from Los Angeles-Istanbul) they are using older planes that are horrific for anyone over 6' tall. I can't even sit in the seat without my legs jamming against the seat in front of me, and when the recline, I have to sit sideways. They are also very small sideways. I am a big guy, but not overweight, and barely fit in the seats. Their seats are definitely getting worse since I started and they ended their economy plus seat option, which at least gave you an option, for a couple hundred dollars more, you could have a nice seat. This is of course to make more money and jam more people on their planes without caring at all for the passengers comfort when you are flying, and it makes those long 12-14 hour flights miserable! Also, the planes are very hot when you board, which can be very uncomfortable, and they no longer give you a hot towel (As they used to) until the plane has taken off. They also do not serve a 1st beverage right away after take off (10,000'). Your first beverage is with the first meal, and then you are not served anything again until the second meal, whereas most other airlines serve drinks throughout the flight. SO you fly for 12 hours with 2 service times and no offers of drinks, snacks, etc. during the flight."

Ulemper: "Seating was terrible. We were in the 2nd row of the normal seats on the right side of the plane. The space between the rows of seats was much to tight, so I had to turn my legs to the side to fit into the space. I am 6'. However, I noticed that the row across from me had about 4" inches of additional space so I am thinking that the row I was on was set in error. This needs to be fixed. Also, they were much to late in turning on the air conditioning as we loaded and waited for takeoff."
Fordeler: "Turkish airlines has great service and crew in plane."
Ulemper: "Hi, The flight was great. However my layover at airport lounge was long. I didn't like their (Turkish Business lounge)policy for not letting me have the room to sleep as the layover was more than 7hrs. I was told to ask for a hotel at reception. When i did, they said that they dont have any hotel inside and cant take me to ourside hotel too. The staff at reception of lounge was not courteous either. I only needed the room to sleep for 3 or 4 hrs. Anyway, the flight itself was great, no complaints"

Ulemper: "The loading process was very long and delayed the flight. It was also very warm on the flight...uncomfortably so."
Ulemper: "We had asked for wheel chair. At Istanbul we were made to wait for almost two hours. Our boarding passes were collected by your staff, when I raised my voice, were given one wheel chair and I had to run along with the staff or we could have missed the flight. I wanted to have some grub at airport but there was no time."

Ulemper: "Stop over in Istanbul, flight to US. Had to go again through security with not enough staff, stood around 40min in a messy line with no air-conditioning or water to go thorough security again. There were elderly people having to do the same. Later, after landing, there was no parking for the airplane, so after 10 hours flight we we're held for 25 minutes inside the airplane. New regulations will make me reconsider using Turkish airline for US bound flights, although it's a great company, unless they find a more comfortable and organized way to do the security check."

Ulemper: "i had asked for an aisle seat and ended up on seat 7C which is the one that is next to the seat where the stewardess sits down. I wouldn't have minded at all but my seat and the one next to it didnt recline anywhere near as much as every other seat in the whole airplane. It was really uncomfortable for me and the person who was seating next to me. Hopefully this will be the last time i get stuck in that kind of seat."

Ulemper: "Slow boarding to the plane, passengers don't respect the different boarding class rule and the staff was not enforcing it. Passengers were standing in the plane after it landed but while it was still driving on the runway and they were opening the overhead luggage compartments risking other passengers health with falling luggage. Also since passengers were standing and the plane was driving on the runway, they were not stable and moving sideways and one of them hit a sitting passenger in the head by mistake. The on-flight entertainment system didn't work from FRA to IST The staff did not do a safety check (check if seat belts on all passengers, seats are in upright position) prior to the plane flying Overall I flew with them 4 times (2 way ticket, with connection flights) and all flights were late to depart and eventually arrive late."

Ulemper: "My husband is 5'11' tall and was extremely uncomfortable because his knees were right up against the seat in front of him. The man on the other side of me was also very uncomfortable because of the same reason. I am only 4'11" and so I didn't have a problem. I would have rated this trip excellent except for the uncomfortable seating. I know this is done to cram in as many seats as possible into the plane, and thus sell more tickets, but from a passenger's perspective, this is a terrible practice."

Ulemper: "They check for everything in the counter as if it was a low cost airline. If you go a kilo more over your baggage allowance you have to pay 100 eur. And for your cabin luggage you only have 12 kg that they check you twice and they have security staff at the airport specifically check in this."

Fordeler: "One crew member was very good but all were not very available or checking on people. I had a seat that I purchased and it was very hard to recline I only found out that it did if fact recline it the last hour to hour and a half of the trip! It was a difficult push back to get it to recline"

Fordeler: "Of the multiple international airlines I recently flew with, I would have to say KLM was by far the best. Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Fordeler: "The employee at the checkin counter in Oslo set everything up for us regarding our wheelchair and walker. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. She arranged for a pick up in Helsinki with the airport's crew. They helped us unload the plane and then had a personal accessible bus to take us from where we landed (outside of terminal) to the gate of our next departure. The crew were all extremely professional and efficient."
Ulemper: "The leg room is never enough on the long flights. The flight from Chicago to Helsinki at 10:00pm was not nearly as good as the flights from Oslo to Helsinki to Chicago. The crew was not as pleasant, the lights were not turned off until after 1:00 am and then turned on hours before the light "breakfast" was served."

Fordeler: "I have Parkinson's disease, and my ability to walk is dependent on how long it has been since I last took carbidopa/levodopa, and how much I have exercised while standing since taking my medicine. I have difficulty walking narrow aisles, and in crowds. The staff was very understanding, and let me pre-board, ensured someone was there to help me deplane, carried my carry-on for me, and did everything possible to assist me. The crew/staff was wonderful!"

Ulemper: "Connecting through Helsinki added hours to our travel time, but after flying American nonstop JFK to Paris on way over, may be worth it. American flight didn't even have individuals screens and blankets left fuzz all over my clothing."
Fordeler: "The Airbus 330 is an improvement over the Boeing 737 that took me to Europe (via Milan) on this trip. Unlike that flight, this plane is equipped with an updated on demand entertainment system. I attribute the upgraded airplane to the fact that this was a direct flight from HEL to JFK. Still no wifi though... Their magazine says it's coming. Upgrading to Economy Comfort is worth the fee especially if you get a bulkhead seat. Otherwise you are still pretty crammed in with maybe 6" more leg room. But the bulkhead seats are set well back from the wall to give my long legs plenty of room to stretch and get in and out of my seat. My friends in Economy looked miserable :( The chili con carne with rice was an improvement over other airline meals but still room for improvement - mostly in presentation I guess. Lingonberry 'salad' though a bit sour for me, was a nice Finnish dish to sample. Like the cheese and crackers. Departed and arrived on time. Liked the flight tracking that showed you very detailed what you were passing over and even gave us a bit of info and photos about highlights of each region flown over. Nice touch."
Ulemper: "This plane was such an improvement over the "bucket" that flew me to Europe that it has restored my faith in Finnair as a valid carrier for my yearly trip to Europe - like I said, probably because it is a direct flight to New York rather than connecting to another European (not Scandanavian) city like Milan. I would probably not use Finnair to access other parts of Europe for this reason. (On the departure end, the regional Finnair flight from Milan to Helsinki was also sub-standard.) I do think the check-in procedure is still cumbersome - self check in with bag check, though started at kiosks, still results in a long line just to hand off your bag to a counter agent. A few more agents would likely solve that problem... But it was better than going the other way - JFK was a nightmare! Helsinki only slightly better."
Fordeler: "The staff were thoughtful and kind. They checked on us and offered snacks and water very regularly. My favorite, though, was that the captain took the time to alert us to the sights out the window. We had closed the shades at the request of the attendants and would have missed the beauty of Greenland had he not alerted us to peak out. I appreciate that!"

The attendant said i needed to speak up if i wanted something and i pointed out i did and he said he would get me on the way back but never came back until he was picking up the empties. He said everyone else seemed to get served what was my problem and I pointed out the girl next to me was also skipped to which he turned around and never walked down my aisle again. Also, the lack of wiFi on this leg was a disappointment as it was available on the trip to Barcelona. That goes a long way to making the long trip more enjoyable."

Ulemper: "Don't understand why they do not open to get the seat until 36 hours ago. Our family of 4 got scattered all over; the agent was not at all helpful -- they seemed bitter about their working condition and the fact that they had to deal with dissatisfied customers. I talked to the supervisor and we were finally able to sit together just because a party of 4 did not show up. I am not at all happy with the AA for their stupid rule."

Ulemper: "The seats had so little padding. We are not very tall and the seats are just too close together. The poor fellow behind me could not make a move without bashing the back of my seat. Not his fault. If you are over 5'5" tall you are in trouble. It is too bad that flying has become so uncomfortable in coach."

I was in the middle seat next to an inattentive octanegarian who was nice but kept calling the flight crew to fix her mess up of the video system. No air controls on this plane - so it was overly warm. 10 hours of overly warm makes for a stinky passenger. Oof."

Ulemper: "It is very difficult to get around CDG airport with a disabled person. There is no shuttle. By the time we got to check in, we were ten minutes late. They would not check us in, and we paid over $700 to change tickets to the next flight. When I complained, I was told to stop being rude or I would get no ticket at all. My mother is 94 years old and we did the best we could given the circumstance."

Ulemper: "We were transported to the plane which was quite some distance to the plane via bus after climbing down steep stairs from the departure gate area. Then we had to climb steep steps in extremely hot weather. We were then delayed for a hour in the plane in very hot conditions as the plane had its air conditioning off and the ground air conditioning was not put on. We were swearing in the heat for an hour!! We arrived at our destination and hour and half late!!"
