Ulemper: "The only thing that brought my rating of this flight down was the fact that it was so hot in the plane! From the moment we boarded, this plane was, for reasons we couldn’t figure out, stuffy and uncomfortably hot. My pregnant girlfriend did not particularly enjoy this flight."
Fordeler: "Excellent service and probably the most efficient boarding process I’ve ever been a part of. Food service went by without a hitch, and the stewardesses knew English very well so we felt comfortable and welcomed. I also really liked being able to get terminal/travel information from the infotainment system. Being that I’ve never been to ICN or NRT before, having access to terminal maps and basic instructions on how to find connecting flights and baggage claim areas was probably one of the most helpful features of the flight!"
Ulemper: "I am 5’11” and found my seat somewhat uncomfortable. It didn’t detract from being able to sleep at all, but it did seem like the seats on this airline might be at its most comfortable with shorter passengers."

Fordeler: "The trip was excellent because first of all, I was the one who booked it. Secondly, I selected all the aisle seats. The airline isnine of the best with friendly and courteous crew."
Ulemper: "The USB port on my seat to charge my cell phone was broken. And the airplane gets warmer in the duration of the flight. The crew should always make sure that the air conditioning's thermostat is in the coller setting."
Ulemper: "1. Planes outdated - We were on an old airplane from Seoul which had compact seating, touch screen on tv controls were not functional. We had to help our kids with the program selections. Wished that the 7 hour flights are upgraded to newer ones with touch screen control, just like the 12 hour flights. 2. Food options not available - My son & daughter ended up skipping both meals during the second leg. They did not want to eat hamburger in kids menu, Korean air did not have alternate meal option like pasta or pizza in flight, which was not what I had expected. Cold sandwiches were offere prior to landing in breakfast menu, all of us had to skip it. 3. Turbulence - my son ended up vomiting twice in second leg. Fortunately we carried 2 spare sets of clothes. 4. Checked baggage in Mumbai airport took 1.5 hours to arrive on the baggage claim belt which was just a waste of time. Korean Air staff just blamed airport authorities on the baggage delay and did not inform anxious passengers awaiting for their baggage after the long flight. Korean air was inefficient in every way."
Ulemper: "Little leg room on shorter flights/smaller aircrafts."
Fordeler: "Cleanliness, super efficient, helpful, competent, gracious crew - among the very best in the world of airlines! Politeness and smiling courtesy defines KAL. The spacious seats are best for six footers like me - legroom wise."
Ulemper: "It used to be my and my wife’s favorite airline. But the warm and dry air in the cabin dry our throats and nasal cavities and make travel so uncomfortable! My wife suffered twice with coughs and respiratory illness. I’m traveling by myself in this trip. She avoids KAL. Food is sparse and ordinary unlike before."
Fordeler: "I very much enjoyed the flight. The crew went out of their to make you feel comfortable. The food was delicious and more than enough to make you full. I was very impressed with the room between seats. I will definitely fly with this airlines again"

Ulemper: "There wad a7 hour delay in Korea and the staff at the airport were not helpful. I asked them if I was in the right place for my connecting flight and all they said was come back in 1 hour. I came back 1 hour later and asked if I'm still in the right place sand when my flight would be boarding. They again said come back in 1 hour. This went on for 7 hours and they never made Amy announcements to inform anyone of when the flights would finally board."
Ulemper: "At first, the plane was delayed for 4 hours due to weather. But then even when the plane was simply sitting on the tarmac, the airport would later delay for another 3 hours cleaning the airplane because they said that they lacked enough manpower to clean it."

Fordeler: "Bags were not checked through to Cebu because of the 10+ hr layover. Had to go out to arrival area to follow up on bag transfer. Korean Air wouldnt issue my boarding pass for my INC to CEB flight at LAX so I have to get in line again at the Korean Air check- in counter in INC then was told to go to Jin Air since it was operated by them. Jin Air wouldn't issue a boarding pass because my flight was at 8 AM the following day. I ended up sleeping at the predept area until the counter opened."
Fordeler: "Overnight flight to San Francisco, the crew is stellar. They are calm and friendly and speak English well. I liked the food options, I would recommend sticking with the American choices if you're not used to Korean food. The dinner was actually pretty good. Entertainment options are plenty, I watched 3 movies and a documentary. The flight maps and outside cameras are great, and it showed that the pilots were constantly trying to find smooth air while the first portion of the flight was bumpy. They found it and the rest of the flight was fairly smooth."
Ulemper: "Aside from the turbulence, which is no fault to the airline, the only other issue was a smelly bathroom in the back that spread out a few rows. I wasn't sitting back there but I would have liked a freshener if I was in those back rows."

Fordeler: "Collectively, my new wife and I have travelled through dozens of different airlines, including 8-10 international flights, and our journey with Korean Air was the best flight experience we have ever had. The staff was so attentive, the selection of Korean music, and the access to movies, and the comfort of even Economy class was fantastic. Despite the long hours spent on board, Korean Air made it as comfortable as possible. We especially loved the hot towels, and the stickers that allowed the flight attendants to note if we wanted to be woken for meals, or left to sleep!"
Ulemper: "We have no complaints. Everything was just lovely."

It is just a normal flight. Short flight. The Aircraft was bit older and was very shaky.

Fordeler: "Singapore Airlines has everything worked out for you before you land. That's a great help. The stewardesses were just phenomenal and endlessly polite. I will definitely use them again."
Ulemper: "As much as I normally nitpick something, I literally have no criticism at all of Singapore Airlines. Everything they did was a step above everyone else."

Ulemper: "Our flight to Bali was cancelled due to the volcano eruption. We did not receive any compensation, but Singapore/Silk Airlines told us they were able to get us a flight home to LAX instead, but that it wouldn't be until the next day. We spent money on a hotel and food and waited until the next morning, got to the airport early for check in only to find that Singapore/Silk had in fact, given up our seats that they had promised us. They said that we now would have to wait another day just to get a flight from Singapore to LAX. We asked to speak with a manager, and eventually were able to get two seats due to cancellations. This was intended to be a very special and romantic trip that was essentially ruined. Since no one could have anticipated that the volcano would cause cancellation, we should be refunded for our flights. We are so crushed that we did not get to go to Bali, and now we may NEVER get to go because we are out of money. At the VERY least, the leg of our flights from Singapore to Bali, and Bali to Singapore, should be refunded. We are extremely disappointed."

Broken entertainment screen, would not stay upright, due to several hundred thousand past passengers bashing into it after having first trodden on the unfortunate passengers feet! Crew unresponsive with drink and food requests, I had to ask for services multiple times on several occasions. Pressing my 'attendant button' my light was lit for 10 minutes before a crew member noticed. My first trip on Singapore, my expectations were not met. Shame"

Ulemper: "They are racist!!!!! Segregation and all!!!!! For my more than 12 hours layover I had to pay for my own hotel!!! Yet other travelers were given free hotel vouchers. As a matter of fact I was kept waiting for nearly half an hour in the middle of the night even though I had been waiting for service ahead of them."

I had just come off another Emirates flight but this was old tatty plane, the seating squashed. The plane was delayed on the runway for around 40 mins but no announcement made, the stewards were unresponsive when people pressed the buzzer."

Ulemper: "I could not pick my seat in advance. It wasn’t clear while booking that this was the case with emirates. They had fees to book a seat in advance. I could only pick my seat when online check in was allowed. It was important for me to have a good seating option on 14hr flight."
Fordeler: "I flew round trip on their flagship Airbus 380 from Toronto to Dubai, about 13-14 hours. Crew was great, plenty of food and drinks, about 3x meals, lost track of how many drink runs, maybe 5x. It was almost too much food & drink! The in-flight entertainment was great, touch screen was fantastic, USB port, even power outlet, on back of seat, plenty of entertainment choices from movies, to video games, to trivia, I even got a kick out of all the camera's mounted on the outside of the plane with all the flight tracking details available on screen, plenty of bathrooms. Its such a big plane it didn't even feel like you are flying. I'm 6'4" so I always choose an aisle seat so i can at least stretch one leg out, the crew was even mindful not to bump my elbow or even my leg when it was extended out into the aisle while i was asleep...which was more than accommodating to something I shouldn't have been doing! Overall Excellent, I wish every airline was like Emirates. They're bringing back the old school service and class airlines used to be like. I know people don't dress up while they air travel anymore, but I'll be dressing up the next time I fly Emirates! ;)"

Fordeler: "Not much. The crew were bright and breezy. Ish."
Ulemper: "Emirates has applied EasyJet seat ramming techniques to its A380 business Class product. As a result even the spacious upper deck of an A380 feels cramped. The seat width in business Class is the same as economy so lying on your side to sleep is an impossibility for all but the diminutive or children. It’s hard to justify 4-5 times the economy fare to sit in such cramped ‘pile em high, sell em cheap’ seats. Breakfast served just before landing at LGW was honestly the most revolting meal I’ve ever been served onboard an aircraft, and I’ve flown Monarch. Less scrambled egg than puréed egg slops with gristly undercooked chicken sausages. Ryanair would blush at serving up such lousy fare. Emirates are paring back the ‘overheads’ in business Class and its starting to show. Cheapening the product (in every sense) might work for some but if I’m going to stump up thousands I think I’ll choose an airline that treats me less like self loading cargo in future."

Fordeler: "Emirates is my carrier of choice, and that's due to their continued service standards, friendliness and rates. This flight was pretty empty so service was even better and I was able to spread myself out. Also, well done to the crew. They continue to maintain high standards."
Ulemper: "This is the first time it's happened to me, but I was scheduled to leave Oslo on Wednesday, but Emirates cancelled my flight and put me on the next one. It would have been alright had they offered some sort of compensation or made it up to me in one way or another, but that was not going to happen. They cancelled and the cost was on me (as per the T's & C's I was told) and that was pretty much that. Here's a hint, it seems like their Scandinavian flights are underperforming and in a cost saving effort, they're randomly cancelling flights. I subsequently found out they did it to someone else in the area causing them to miss two days of a pre-booked vacation. So, if they cancel, it's going to cost you a lot more in a city like Oslo to wait a day - not to mention the costs involved in missing work or vacation, so maybe shop around then. I still like Emirates, but I'm feeling a little burnt after this episode."
Fordeler: "One of the best airlines I have flown. Very good with kids and they do a hell of a good job of cleaning restrooms. Food quality was great."
Ulemper: "Hindu meal has meat in it which was a surprise. It was too cold inside plane and they would take blankets before landing and won't give you blankets till take off is complete. They should give water bottles."

Ulemper: "We have booked two tickets separately. One for me and the other for my wife and kid. But we were travelling together. When we checkin, we told we need the seats together. But, they did not give the seat together. Also, our connection time was 2 hours for the next flight. To receive the baggage in the port of entry, it took more than 1 hour 15 mins in the carousel. After that we had to clear customs, change terminal and clear security in 45 mins to catch the next flight. It was really tough for us. They could have handled the baggage little efficiently."
Fordeler: "This two legged journey on Emirates was my first experience with this airline and the impression was an excellent one. Entebbe - Dubai - JFK went smoothly and comfortably."

Ulemper: "Screaming kids the entire 14 hours. The staff should have at least spoke to the family and kindly asked for them to take care of calming the child down. Instead, he screamed the entire flight and did as he pleased, with no regard to any of the customers on the flight."
Fordeler: "Upgraded to Business Class. On a A380 its really significant."
Ulemper: "The crew was abit too talkative during non-service."
Fordeler: "The in-flight entertainment was good, with many, many options to choose from. The headphones provided were certainly more comfortable than anything I have experienced on other airlines."
Ulemper: "The boarding process is chaotic. Especially so in Dubai. Moreover, they do not allow a laptop bag in addition to the normal carry-on baggage. Every other airline I have flown allows this. What is even more frustrating is that a women's purse is allowed, so I saw women carrying giant bags with their laptops, etc. in those bags, whereas I had to stuff mine into my carry-on briefcase. This is not normal (as in, other airlines allow it), is not mentioned in the ticket, not mentioned while given the boarding pass, BUT is strictly enforced at the very last minute right before entering the plane."

I reserved an aisle seat originally, aisle seats were available when I tried to change, but agent REFUSED to accommodate me with either aisle or window. Sat in middle with huge guy next to me. Very uncomfortable. Food was mediocre on this leg. Oh, and late departing AGAIN. Will seriously look for other options on next trip."

Fordeler: "The flight attendants were very friendly. On the flight, snacks and drinks were bright by every hour or so and the meals were plenty of food and tasted good. I was given a bag with eye cover, earplugs, socks, face wipes and ear phones. Entertainment was good as well. Qatar is an amazing airline. Wish we had something like this in the States!"

Ulemper: "The screens would freeze for all the people around. The connecting flight had 50 minutes, however there was another security check and gate was quite far, everything had to be done in a hassle and we were nervous throughout regarding missing the flight."

Ulemper: "The food and service was better than that of American airlines, but no comparison to food and service of any Asian airlines (including Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Japan Airlines, ANA, Korean Airlines). The Edelweiss brand is too much based on outdated stereotypes and Heidiland. Nobody in Switzerland walks around dressed and make-uped like the stewardesses of Edelweiss air."

Fordeler: "By far the worst experience I've ever had in my life. 1. A day after I perches a multi destination tickets I called Swiss air costumer service requesting to upgrade my tickets to business class. no one would even try to help me. They just kept saying I need to contact my travel agent. After 3 phone calls I gave up and decided to wait and upgrade my ticket at the airport. 2. In Prague the night before my second flight I hurt my knee real bad to a point that I couldn't walk at all. The next morning I call Swiss air costumer service again trying to explain them my situation telling them I can't fly and won't be able to make it to my flight. Costumer service cancelled immediately all of my remaining tickets and try to sell me new tickets for a full price. I said I don't mind buy and pay for the one flight I missed but there is no reason for her to re sell me the rest of my tickets that I already paid for, again. Then she start to change prices up and down like in a Chinese flea market. At that point I begged her to talk to a supervisor but she Kept ignoring my request and just try to negotiat for a lower charg she kept me on the phone for 5 hours. My hotel phone bill for that one call cost me 150€. I never got to talk to a supervisor but she took down the charge to 517$ Not included a new ticket flying out of Prague. 3. For my last flight going home. I showed up 2.5 hours Earlier. asking to upgrade my sit to business fin desk send me to talk to asupervisor. The supervisor was trying to process my request but didn't seem to know what he was doing at all. One minute he was on his computer then the next minute on the phone with Swiss air headquarter then back on his computer for more then 35 minutes with no resolute. I still had an hour and half before take off when he told me he can print me the ticket but it's to late now since the gate for my flight is close and I already missed my flight. I said that's impossible cause I still have an hour and half to my flight but he insist on the gate been close and there is no way I can get on that flight. Right away I run back to front desk asking them to print my ticket as fast as possible cause I would really like to get on that flight. In front desk they told me not to worry cause I got plenty of time to get on that flight. So I gave up on the business upgrade and told them that at that point I'll be just as happy to sit by the window. Of course they put me on the very end exactly in the middle. After the door was locked I looked around and saw plenty of free sits available including by the window. 4. In Zurich I finally managed to upgrade my last flight coming back to Tampa fl to business and noticed that the only way they could do that was by contacting Swiss air headquarter for approval. When I asked why is that since I fly a lot and never seen anything like that before one of the lady's there told how Swiss air left all of their front desk powerless and all decisions must be made by headquarters."
Ulemper: "When we finally arrived in Tampa. It hook them an hour and a half to get are bags out. I honestly doubt I'll ever fly Swiss airlines again. Ever. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had flying. Ps the crew on the plain ware a lot nicer and more professional the people on the ground."

Ulemper: "I would have like an announcement to let me know what times food will be served. I woke up just as the crew had passed my row for breakfast and then couldn't get the attention of the lady to serve me breakfast. A vegan option for the menu would be excellent. The leg room on the plane was also very reduced for an 11 hour flight. I wish I would have been offered to pay an additional amount and upgrade to the business class. This option was never offered to me at check-in."
Fordeler: "The aisle seat I purchased wasn't miserable like so many economy seats are. But I did have to pay for it!"
Ulemper: "I had such a miserable experience getting to Florence on Swiss Air that I sent a letter of complaint WHILE ON VACATION!! Really. It was a nightmare... not the way you want to start a vacation. I had difficulty booking my daughter's seat online for the return, but didn't have access to phone service while abroad. In my complaint letter to Swiss Air I requested they place us together. I never got a response and upon check in, they had my son and me in our purchased seats and my daughter at the back of the plane. I asked them if they could do anything about it (I was even willing to give up my seats to move to the back...) yet no one seemed concerned or interested in helping to make this work. They also had no knowledge of my complaint or appeared concerned about my prior experience. I'm so over Swiss Air. My experience with the employees on the phone prior to my first departure, the lack of response to my email, and a disinterested and inattentive staff on my return, have all convinced me to choose a different airline next time."
Ulemper: "Was asked to give up my aisle seat (D 40) seat om a 13 hour flight for a less comfortable one (F). Put on the spot to give up my seat for a couple with a 6 month old infant due to the fact that the attachable bassinet had to be in front of the D seat. Neither the parent or myself felt very good about my displacement."
Fordeler: "I never used Swiss Airline before but my friends told me crews are very professional and clean... She is right!!!Their crews, Foods, and very clean environments.... had a wonderful experiences"

Ulemper: "Flight was delayed, as a result i missed the next flight to Washington DC. My whole schedule was messed up as i had to fly through Chicago. My luggage was lost and i only received it 2 days later. Will file the complaint."

Ulemper: "Just the seats were to close together coupled with small seats is at times uncomfortable. Even this is a reach however, I was pleased with Swiss being the first time flying with them."
