Never took off on time. Always delays flying with Lufthansa. Seems like the planes are getting more and more uncomfortable as well. No room to even stretch out your legs. Pathetic. More likely will book next flight with someone else.
Flying First Class with Lufthansa is something special, in every aspect of the word. It just has to be experienced!

Førts flyen blir 20 minutter forsinket . Etterpå når vi sitte i flyen og skule fly hadde mye bråk som vi visste har teknisk problem . Så etterpå vi måte og sitte i flyen og venter cirka 2 timer . Det var veldig dømt og sitte i en fly og vente 2 timer ?!! Og hele tida vi følger ikke trygg siden vi hørte om flyen har teknisk problem. Vi forventet bytte flyen ikke tar samme fly som har teknisk problem . Og siden vi hadde en langs tur PGA flyen hadde problem vi fått ikke noe ekstra service som matt ellers litt drikke . Everone was mixed up, business, gold card, economy, and only one person doing the chekcing of boarding passes. It was not the best process."

Ulemper: "Our flight was 9 hours late. We were given no notice of this until we arrived at the gate. it took an hour if holding before we could reach customer service. Customer service at our arrival gate was extremely slow. Baggage claim closed before my daughter’s luggage was released and it was lost until the next day. Our connecting flight was booked incorrectly do we had to spend the night in Frankfurt. Our 13 hour flight took 29 hours. The food was awful."

Ulemper: "The flight left with a slight delay. As I boarded, I was issued a new seat in the middle, as opposed to the window seat I had selected. There was zero explanation for this change. When I approached the flight attendants about it, with a smile on my end, I was offered the equivalent of a shrug. As I gave up, I was also informed there was no more room in the overhead bins, so not only did I end up sitting in the middle (which I loathe), but also with my carry-on under my feet. I’ve always been a fan of Lufthansa, but I’m a little disappointed this time around."

When we checked in - they asked us to both check in our carry on luggage. The reason why is because they said they don’t think they have enough space for our carry ons. I told the crew member checking us in that other people that was checking in with the same hand carry size luggage with us had no problems taking it with them. For being about to be on a 17 HOUR FLIGHT we should be ALLOWED to have our carry ons with us! We take carry ons for that reason! I had to argue and prove my case to the crew member to atleast keep 1 carry on with us. I thought that was an UNACCEPTABLE reason for us to check in a carry on luggage when we had a 17 hour travel time ahead of us. Not a happy costumer here."

This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

Furthermore I couldn’t use the check-in kiosks because my name was listed as Reidmr instead of Reid, which meant that my boarding pass did not match my passport. Overall this caused unnecessary delays that were compounded by the fact that I couldn’t use my TSA precheck. My main problem on the plane was that I had to struggle to get water served to me. It’s always so dry on planes and I would have liked to be able to get more than one tiny glass of water at a time. Also, would have loved a window at my window seat. Plus no WIFI!?"

Seemingly per usual for SAS, the advised boarding time came and went without sight of a plane outside or staff at the gate. So was no surprise to ultimately see an updated departure time. The delayed pushback ultimately led to about a similar delay in arrival, although fortunately this did not impact on my ability to catch my planned bus connection home from the airport. The snack served on-board was served much too cold (which the staff admitted was the case during serving), but I ate it nonetheless.
I make it that pushback from the gate was almost 15 minutes after the scheduled time; although I didn't check how the actual arrival time (which is ultimately more important) compared to the schedule. Regardless, I had enough time before my next flight to be able to find an open SAS lounge (which did seem quite busy, not sure how much that was a time-of-day thing or is just normal there) to eat something.
Not sure why the gate information would show "boarding" and then "gate closing" before anyone had actually started boarding. Was ultimately sat before the scheduled takeoff time, although takeoff was after the schedule. Favourable flying conditions allowed us to land 5 minutes early, although as there was another plane still sitting at our gate on arrival meant we were ultimately late to the gate (giving gate / disboarding times would be more honest than just the scheduled landing time). Somehow, even though there was a plane sitting at our gate on arrival, when we were allowed to taxi to the gate, there were apparently no ground staff there. What? Even though there was an incoming plane, they went elsewhere? Staff on the plane and the meal service were fine.

Bedre håndtering av kansellering, rebookinger med bedre alternativer. Bedre tatt hånd om etter en kansellering i form av oppgradering av klasse, sete, matservering. Ingen kompensasjon for ulempene før turen eller under turen.
Billettene våre ble kansellert pga streiken. Nye billetter tur/retur Barcelona kom på 19.500,-
It had a good range of movies but the flight map was broken at my seat. I tried both online and by calling to request a menu and the wait to speak with someone was 45 minutes, and there was nothing on line that allowed me to choose a meal option. The plane was small and all seats were taken. After the meal there were incredibly long lines for only two toilets. Finally, SAS lost our luggage, which can of course happen, but there were more than 50 people waiting around at the carousel and nobody from SAS came to tell us the truth. Finally news trickled back to us by word of mouth and when we got to the SAS baggage consigne, there was only one SAS woman working there and she refused even when asked to announce to us what had happened so we would have some idea. Instead she told someone who told someone else and again by word of mouth we found forms to fill out about who we were and where we were staying. I stood in line for 45 minutes and only then would she explain the luggage had been left in Copenhagen but would arrive that night or the next day--something she could easily have shared with the group instead of leaving everybody in the dark. And at no time did another SAS official or staff member come to help all of us standing there, some of the group waiting with no news for 2 hours when the SAS lady knew full well what had happened. It is shameful. Will never fly SAS again.
SAS er i ferd med å bli håpløst utdatert for business reisende, dessverre. Man kaller det Plus og selger det inn som en business class, men det er jo bare tull... Reise fra CPH til Island var med Icelandair, full business og topp service, reise fra Reykjavik til Oslo, med SAS, var et svært gammelt fly, gamle og dårlige seter, fullt av mennesker som sild i tønne og dårlig mat. Mens flyet fra Oslo til Stavanger var nytt, alt var bedre men det burde vært motsatt; lengre distanser, bedre komfort, for fullt betalende passasjerer, men det tenker ikke SAS på. Jeg faser ut SAS fra nå av og vil fly mest mulig med andre selskap ut fra Stavanger, så det blir nok mer KLM fra nå av..

In both the flights from EWR to OSLO and back, every aspect of the trip was super, except for the wait for baggage. In Oslo, I estimate having waited at least a half an hour at the carousel before the bags started showing up, and the same in Newark. We had long cleared Immigration, which normally is not a speedy process, and yet still had to wait at least 20 minutes for the FIRST bag to appear on the carousel. Most annoying, particularly after a relatively long flight, and especially for transfer passengers who needed to recheck their bags to continue to other destinations."
Fordeler: "We were in an empty Plus cabin at front. Coming from Miami, the hot towel service would have been nice. I blinked and missed the service. They will quickly skip you if they can. Food weird. Salmon in a box with no bread or rice or anything and a strange savory muffin. Ate neither. No entertainment."

I was waiting for the flight at the OSLO airport waiting for the flight to LONDON. I had ample time to work on my computer. In the big room by the gate there was only one spot where I found three electrical sockets hanging from a pillar or post. To my dismay none worked. My plug would fall off from each. To document, I took the pictures of the useless sockets... I complained to the lady at the boarding desk (she left before the SAS staff moved in), she did not even care... This experience frustrated me and turned an otherwise pleasant trip into a bitter one. Please install some working sockets in your waiting room! No food, there should have at least been a snack or at a minimum offered water."

Ulemper: "I was really disappointed at finding out at luggage check-in that I had to pay extra (£60.00) for my one regular-size suitcase. On the return flight I was told that this amount would be - as it turned out in my case - less than half, if I called SAS a day before departure. Why did I have to pay for the checked luggage at all?"

Ulemper: "I do not like the way they conduct their business from the office never returning phone calls as we are trying to get our questions answered. Would also be nice if the airline would use JFK instead of Liberty in Newark. Thank you."
Ulemper: "flight was delay for 30 mins. then another 30 mins because there are 15 passenger that miss their flight due to delay or there is not enough flight to transport them to Longyearbyen the next day. We are force to wait a total of more then a hour to board them and stuck on plane. And ofcuase when we landed. My SAS go luggage is last to come out because the late arrival passengers luggage all come out ahead. It is a most terrible experience I ever had with a SAS flight. Might as well consider flying norwegian airline!"
Ulemper: "Tried THREE hours to get a phone picked up to cancel my flight the day before this scheduled flight. My friends booked with Expedia the exact itinerary and were able to reach a human and we're told that SAS always reimburses for cancellations. I finally emailed vayamas/kayak to cancel and 5 days later received a reply that there was no cancellation refund. Apparently Kayak provides a no communication/no refund policy. My travel companion had the opposite experience with Expedia."

Alt fungerte meget bra. Crew var vennlige og opplagte, hadde fokus på jobben og hadde kontroll på oppgavene. Bare positivt å bemerke! Reiser mye med Finnair, og den gode opplevelsen er standard. Personalet får antagelig skolering og kan omgås passasjerene med vennlighet og respekt.
Ulemper: "I didn't like putting two family on different seats far from each other"
Ulemper: "The seats are uncomfortable, no leg room, no space between seats and the trays hit ones’s stomach. The whole experience was very uncomfortable. The food was awful. Overheated and not cooked through at the same time. Breakfast was odd. Non-Greek yoghurt and cashews. Just strange."
Ulemper: "The transfer was a disaster. We had to go through the security check (even though the transfer was in the Schengen area) and almost missed our connecting flight."

Seats so narrow and rows are so close, that you practically pooched into your neighbors, those that behind don't let you to recline your seat as then your seat is in their face. It looks like American Airlines hopes to exchange your reality with virtuality, but our bodies that we are for some reason taking with us on that itinerary - suffer."

Ulemper: "After we landed the crew diacovet d that we had parked too far from the gate and needed to move the plane. Several passengers were anxious to deplane to connect to another flight and refused to sit down which caused further delays. The crew could have been more stern about passenger conduct as to make the process more efficient."
Ulemper: "Huge lines at the airport for check in and drop off of lugagges. Apparently finnair hasn't heard yet of automatic check in and drop off. After that long wait for boarding and flight delayed. Very little information."

Ulemper: "It is ridiculous that they would not allow you to select a seat for free at check-in. There were many unoccupied seats, but some families with children were seated separately, so there was a lot of seat changing before the take off."
Fordeler: "American Airlines gets a thumbs up for this flight! Great seating, food decent, on time. We waited for some folks to join from a connecting flight which was good business."

Ulemper: "Even though we had booked this flight in September we were never able to choose a seat for this flight. We kept trying and the only way we could pick a seat months and weeks ahead was if we bought an upgrade. We had already spent over $1000 to fly to Paris each and did not want to buy an upgrade. We just wanted the assignment of a seat. When we got closer to the date we were told that we would get a seat assignment at check in. At check in we were told we would get a seat assignment at the airport. At the airport we were told we would get a seat assignment at the GATE! At the GATE the attendant had difficulty finding our seats and finally found them with the help of another attendant. This adding extreme stress to a trip that was planned in September and should have been a pleasureable experience. Our seats were not together and we then had to go on the plane and ask other travelers to change their seats in order to be near each other. This was not our job! We ended up near each other but not together. Then when we arrived in Paris we noticed that our suitcases had been tagged STAND BY!!!!!! We were glad that we did not see that at the Philadelphia airport because it would have added even more stress to a long anticipated pleasure trip to Paris. Next time we will make sure that the tickets we are purchasing (FINNAIR) have nothing to do with American Airlines."

Fordeler: "Flight was operated by American and they really absolutely need to update their planes on the JFK-CDG route. It is the only airline that does not provide individual screens, the seats barely recline and the air quality on board on board lives a lot to be desired as the plane odor is just not good."

Ulemper: "Tried to change my flight, line got disconnected, when I called back the fees went from 500 to 1100 - they couldn't justify why. I will never use kayak again if these kind of people is who I have to deal with coupled with awful customer service they hung up on me three times."
Fordeler: "The boarding process was expedient and the food was ok and standard for these flights."
Ulemper: "I travel at least 1 week a month either to Europe, South America or across the United States. The Airplaine was extremely old and looked like it was not refurbished at all since the 90's. Unlike basically every other airline (including airlines from the developing world) the plane did not have a personal entertainment system which is rather vexing considering the flight is so long. The decoration of the plane looked old and worn. The crew were more interested in getting the job done quickly than properly."

Ulemper: "entertainment on the A330 is so sluggish people think the screen is not working correctly pushing harder and harder on the screen making it uncomfortable for the people in front of them. Food is as usual: Not very healthy and always the same."

Ulemper: "Kayak sent misleading check in announcements. Namely, telling us to check in with Finnair, where it would not let us check in on line and no one answered the phone. We ultimately checked in with American, which was operating the flight. Not a customer friendly process. American should be embarrassed to serve meals. We think people will eat the gruel because they paid for it. No choice of entertainment. How 1990s. If this is the new American Airlines Lord help us."
Fordeler: "The crew was friendly and very accommodating. Inflight entertainment had many choices, had a wonderful relaxing time. The food was not too good but then again it's airplane food. Overall, recommend the experience."
Fordeler: "On time departure and early arrival"
Ulemper: "Was not Finnair but American Airlines operated flight, so cramped, no personal entertainment system, sub charger, etc. Would have been great if this was 1996 and not 2016."
Fordeler: "I did not like anything about this trip."
Ulemper: "Our flight from Chicago to Paris was managed by Finnair, but flown through American Airlines. This was the second disappointing flight on American Airlines. Our first flight was repeatedly delayed over three hours and then canceled. Everyone had to take a new flight the next day on the same plane which was scheduled to be fixed that morning prior to departure. We boarded the plane 45 minutes late and then were informed that the part needed to fix the plan had just cleared customs. After another hour of waiting on the plane, we taxied to the runway and the returned to the gate because another part needed to be fixed on the plane. We waited another hour and a half on the plane before finally taking off. Upon our arrival at Chicago O'Hare, we waited on the tarmac for 30 minutes before the ground crew parked our plane. Which brings me to this flight from Chicago O'Hare to Charles de Gaulle in Paris. Our flight was delayed for maintenance repeatedly for 2 hours and then a new plane had to be brought over. By the time we boarded we were almost four hours behind schedule due to a logbook problem once we boarded the new plane. The plane itself was small - the size of a domestic flight - and VERY cramped. On both of the flights we had no TVs in the headrest. This is something that I have always had in economy class on international flights. It was by far the most uncomfortable flight I have ever been on. Because of the delay, we had to reschedule one of our two connecting flights. I was assured that our bags would still arrive at our final destination. When we finally reached our final destination, we found out that our bags had been lost along the way - most likely because of the flight being rescheduled."
Fordeler: "Staff was kind, flight itself generally went smoothly. The boarding process itself went fairly quickly, and I was able to disembark within minutes of landing."
Ulemper: "This Finnair flight was operated by American Airlines, but American Airlines did not notify me about the change in flight number until I called in a panic the night before because I was unable to check in. The plane was nearly 2 hours late departing from Chicago O'Hare with no explanation given. 1hr and 45 minutes is a long time to sit without going anywhere. Food was incredibly uninspiring and the staff was kind, but generally seemed distracted. I asked for a beverage at one point, but the flight attendant was too busy trying to get the passenger next to me who was passed out on sleeping pills to put the window shade down to give it to me. American Airlines is one of the only carriers left that has not upgraded to individual entertainment units for transatlantic flights and so the entertainment was like something straight out of Mad Men. Probably my worst flying experience to date."
Ulemper: "International flight delayed 2 hours for multiple mechanical issues. 45 minutes before boarding, we were given a $20 voucher for food and drink (which we couldn't spend on snacks, just big meals, which was undesirable so late at night). Flight itself played Mission Impossible 4, then a kid's cartoon, then nothing the remaining 5 hours. Very uncomfortable for those who can't sleep on planes."
Ulemper: "We waited for 3 1/2 hours in the plane before taking off. We ended up landing with a 3-hour delay."
Fordeler: "Aircraft was so old.Paying $1,000 for that, when any other airline uses decent aircrafts, is just unacceptable."
Ulemper: "no food on the first flight no private tv they tell you can have wi fi entertainment but you have to pay for it the staff was rude tell also told me my cary on luggage could not be taken on board because there was no more space so i had to cary all my things for two flights but once i came in into the plane there was plenty of space. the seats had a very low head rest"

Ulemper: "ALL my print outs say FINNAIR, your asking about my FINNAIR flight, all says FINNAIR, so I go to the airport and wait 30 precious minutes at the FINNAIR counter to check in ( there was no self check in computers) only to be told Ah, you are not on FINNAIR, you are on American and must go to the American counter. I was given my itinerary back and rushed to American and began to self check in only to realize in the rush the woman had not given me back my passport. So, I rushed back to get it, loosing more time, only to find she had given it to another agent at another American counter but not at the check in area, and it took more time to find out who had my passport. I made my flight, but if ALL says FINNAIR, how am I supposed to know that I should instead be looking at fine print to discover which airline I am actually flying on and waste time!!!!!!! It should state CLEARLY that I need to check in at the American counter. In flight entertainment was really poor in comparison to other airlines on international flights."

Hyggelige og effektive ansatte. Derimot er flyene til og fra Oslo alltid forsinket og i vår tilfelle var det på 25 minutter. I tillegg, er kabinene på enkelte fly delvis utdaterte, smart å sjekke på forhold hva slags fly du skal fly med. Ellers er det er svært bra selskap som jeg anbefaler å bruke.

We were all trapped on board for about 4 or so hours without much communication from the crew or captain which made me very anxious. We arrived 5 hrs late and it put my whole trip in jeopardy. Based on this experience, I eont be inclined to use this airline again for future trip planning. This airline will need to work hard to earn my trust back because i felt physically and emotionally unsafe throughout the experience, many times."
Ulemper: "Being in the middle of the 4 seats with guys on both sides. They tend to restrict the space by using the arm rests."
Ulemper: "10 minutes late to the airport....... No help, no refund, no nothing. Never using you again"

Ulemper: "Entertainment screen did not work; in neighboring seat it could not be switched off when we wanted to sleep; sourly employees everywhere (re-booking counter an exception); food close not being edible and cold; I forgot my watch on when going through security in the Air France terminal; when I started to say "sorry" I was yelled at by the screener who said that she will do the talking; she sent me back through the scanner twice without my watch, then once more with the carry-on and made sure that I went to the end of a very long line to wait for another screening rather than having me just go through the scanner without my watch. Needless to say, there was nothing else suspicious about me once the watch was removed. Eager to exercise her power, the security person did not seem to consider that she slowed down a long line of people waiting to be screened. I should add that I am 73 yrs old grey haired female who has traveled a lot both for pleasure and business during my entire life, often to some difficult places and that I do not argue with or provoke those in power in a situation like this. The yelling and the sending me repeatedly through the scanner, which did not beep once the watch was removed, was beyond anything I had experienced anywhere else. The sending me to the very end of the line seemed outright spiteful. (I did miss the plane connection.)"

Ulemper: "Initially the flight from Lima was delayed for almost 1:30 and then we lost this connection then Airfrance rebooking to SAS they tell us to take all our luggage’s and check in again it’s was awful and really bad from then walk and spend time we suppose to be quite at home ... the worst was in SAS have ano system and for 1.5 kilos extras you might pay 33€ so after long day and wait, running everywhere with all my staff I see to eat a 11€ menu at the airport with not more explanation from Airfrance .. really bad and worst services.."

Fordeler: "Wheel chair service at LAX is run by the airport. Their priority is to get you to your flight, not to a VIP room regardless of how early you check in."
