My flight got cancelled and we was not reimbursed for expenses

My lay over was changed so that my flight was boarding on the opposite side of the airport at the same minute I was walking through the gangway getting off my first flight. I took screen shots of the times and it was alarming to say the least.

The rest of us got these sad bag of pretzels and cheesey snacks. So sad. Why wouldn't Delta offer the same snacks to everyone? Seems like such a small additional cost compared to such an offensive action. The money you save is certainly lost in bad publicity."

Since this was a scheduled late departure and they still offered the full menu, I chose to have only the appetizer portion. This turned out to be a fine soup, salmon salad and multiple extras. This was perfect for an 11:00 PM dinner."
Fordeler: "The flight was delayed, and delayed again, and finally delayed to 18 hours after original takeoff time. I was rebooked on a flight for the following after, and that flight has been delayed twice so far. Never again will I fly Delta."

Ulemper: "The boarding agents lost control of the crowd form the get go. The first class cabin crew on our side of the plane was inattentive, though it appeared on the other half of the plane the crew was very attentive. This is one of the poorer first class seats in the industry. The "lie flat" seat is just that, a lie. It is pitched at an angle, though not as steep as some. Foot cubby is narrow and constrictive, bordering on claustrophobic."

The meals are full of bread, pasta, starch, tortilla with brownie, cookies, and candy bar snacks. Would appreciate more vegetables, fruit, and protein. I couldn't get my headphones to work. Otherwise the flight and attendants were great. Thank you!

Ulemper: "Only reason I chose Lufthansa was that I was informed that 23kg of checked in luggage was included. It was NOT. I don't care whose fault it is. Lufthansa still says that this is included on their website. I demand reimbursement."
Ulemper: "The arm rests on either side of my seat where closed so I had limited mobility in my seat (by closed I mean they didn’t move and had no open space between where your arm sits and the top of the chair)"

Fordeler: "The staff was courteous,friendly and helpful. The Plane was on time. There was no short supply of liquids. The Crew made every effort to make our flight pleasant as possible. The in seat computer system worked very well, easy to use with good choices for entertainment. The staff apologized for the hot conditions during boarding."
Ulemper: "The PA system at the gate was not clear. The plane was almost unbearably hot during boarding. Our first snack on an 11 hour flight was stale pretzels and lukewarm orange juice, but this may have been from my choice of products. The food did get better as my expectations were not that high after the first round. The headphones were mono not stereo."
Fordeler: "I have always liked Lufthansa; however, got put on an American Airlines flight due to a missed connection and there were no further flights until later in the afternoon. Had to change airlines and they assured me my luggage would follow me. It did not!!!! Too many security checks, switching from place to place and being herded like cattle was not too pleasant. Security people were rude and very busy talking to each other to tend to their jobs. One person would tell you to do something and the next person would give you completely different direction. They were arguing amongst themselves and not paying attention to one of the most important things.....customers."
Ulemper: "On AA flight there were two small children running up and down the airplane most of the flight. Very disturbing and no one could rest. They were playing chase, hitting everyone's seat, and screaming at each other quite a bit. Parents obviously did not discipline them at all. After waiting in the airport for a completely different flight and not know what to expect this flight was not a pleasant one. American Airlines had overbooked the flight and they were begging people to give up their seats. They had a weight problem due to fuel amount and when we were approaching DFW we were diverted to Houston because we did not have enough fuel to stay in a holding pattern. We sat on the tarmac for a couple of hours, refueled, several people got off the plane in Houston in order to make connecting flights and then we FINALLY flew back to Dallas"

Ulemper: "The boarding procedure was unorganized and extremely inefficient. The family sitting in the row across from us had two unparented and very loud children who were disruptive for the entire 10 hour flight. Even on landing the child was not wearing a seat belt. The woman got up to get her stuff out of the overhead compartment even though we were told to stay seated. At no point did any of the crew members do anything in regards to this family and their disruptive actions."
Fordeler: "My wife and I ran from our connection all the way from one end to the other and the crew could tell. They said after I stow my carry ons to corn to the back and get a drink and use the bathroom to cool down as we were just about to take off to taxi to the runway. The crew was absolutely great and the I. Flight entertainment and food was great. We just wish our luggage had made it back too. We are still waiting to see where our luggage is - if in Europe still or Dallas."
Ulemper: "I would say that other passengers had their kids behind us and they kept screaming and kicking our chairs. We told the woman to tell her kids to stop but all she said was “they are a child” when all they needed to do was just tell their kid to stop. Flight attendants saw and knew but I don’t know what they could do to help when they can’t help with bad parenting. I wish there was a clear way to upgrade to first class on a trip as it was difficult to find out how."

Ulemper: "The male Stewart was very unprofessional by commenting out loud that I was too fat for the seat that I was assigned. The lights in the plane kept going off and on along with the video. I could not understand the pilots English. I was not allowed to get out of my seat as much as I wanted. I was very upset and disappointed on the male Stewart attitude."
Fordeler: "This leg of light was good. Service on board was very good."

Ulemper: "I booked wheelchair at Oslo airport, but my father did not get it at Frankfurt."
Fordeler: "We were not cramped like US domestic flights. Bathrooms were kept cleaner."
Fordeler: "having the TV with lots of choices"
Ulemper: "There were screaming ( not just crying...but SCREAMING at a shrill pitch) for the entire 10 hour flight. I was never so ready to get off of a plane in my life. The staff tried to appease the many different situations as best they could, but they got wore out before the end of the the flight. There were people not sitting in their assigned seats, so mealtime was totally boggled and some got fed a full hour before the rest us is on the tail end of the serving. The last meal ( after I FINALLY got food, we had turbulence, so they stopped serving drinks to go with the meal, and no one ever came back and continued where they left off, so I ate my meal without a drink. I don't blame the airline because it was the many children in that section that made it absolutely miserable for everyone on board, but it was the worst flight I have ever taken...hands down."

Ulemper: "Old school entertainment system. A lot of hard tapping on the screen which bugs the person in front of you."
Ulemper: "LH761 was late by an hour and a half. I was not given help to get to my connecting flight LH438."
Fordeler: "Ground Staff helpful. Cockpit pilots communicated effectively. Most of the cabin staff was courteous."
Ulemper: "The wait prior to takeoff was a concern. Flight departed one hour late. Scanner at Gate Z13 was malfunctioning. One steward from Frankfurt to Dallas was pre-judging my food choice based on how I look. Normally that would not bother me, but he kept asking if I had ordered a Vegetarian or Hindu meal several times even after I confirmed that I had requested the standard meals for all my journey. The same steward on the Dallas to Frankfurt demonstrated the same questionable behavior. Infants on the flight get very noisy and Lufthansa Staff can help by asking accompanying parents to be prepared prior to take off and landing with warm milk in the baby milk bottles which the children can ingest to equalize ear drum pressure. Unfortunately cabin crew is not using this simple technique and the children on board cry excessively with lot of pain making everyone around them very uncomfortable. This can be nerve wracking for all accompanying Lufthansa passengers near bulkhead rows. Frankfurt Main is too dependent on bus transportation causing passengers to get wet on days when rain occurs."

Ulemper: "Frankfurt airport: Had to walk for an hour to get from gate to gate. I was getting off an international flight and onto another international flight. International gates are usually closer than that. On the flight: 1. The armrests pull up, which is great if you're traveling with family or a significant other. But, in my case, it was an overweight and obese lady, who didn't fit in her seat and just slipped into half of mine. I was stuck with half a seat with her arm bumping mine for a 12-hour flight. I landed with a bruised arm. It was a round trip flight. When I had submitted a complaint, Lufthansa refunded me a 100$, which is nice of them, but I think they should have upgraded me for my return flight instead to make up for the first flight being uncomfortable. 2. I paid for the internet service and was charged double for it. Again, had to submit a complaint and was refunded the money. Check-in: The online system wouldn't allow me to check in online because my passport wasn't biometric."
Fordeler: "Crew was very good. Pilots, definitely, were high level professionals."
Ulemper: "No negative comments for this leg."
Fordeler: "Had individual screens for each passenger. Most seats seemed to have a good movie selection."
Ulemper: "Chaotic doesn't even begin to describe boarding. We had to be bussed to the jet for some reason, then there were two doors to board through that people would just pick at random."

Ulemper: "Not enough healthy options, such as fresh fruits and vegetables"
Fordeler: "Loved the staff, very nice! The food options were good & I appreciated the veggie options. Desert could be optional since I never eat it. Oh & the beverage cart with all the options is the absolute BEST."
Ulemper: "No noise barriers. I realize people will bring babies on flights, but after 11 straight hours (seriously, 11!) of screaming babies, the whole plane was tired & on edge."
Fordeler: "After so many domestic flights of being shuffled around and interacting with flight attendants that seem to not like their jobs much and passenger's are just an annoyance, flying abroad on Luftansa was quite a different experience! The flight attendants were polished, professional, and actually wanted to provide a service. Their interactions made me feel like I was cared about and that they wanted my unique needs to be met. This made a 10 hour flight an enjoyable experience which I certainly didn't anticipate."

Ulemper: "They changed my seat at the last minute!!!! Small spaces, I told to the assistants and they did't help me at all, worst fly ever!!!!!"

Wi-Fi didn’t work. Boarding was totally confusing. Guy next to me took more then his area. Constantly touching me pushing on me. Had a bag blocking getting out. Almost fell. Crew didn’t help

Ulemper: "Very small seats with no leg room and very little room on either side. The food was bad - even when compared to other airplane food. Plane is kept too warm."
Fordeler: "The crew was fantastic! Our needs were constantly being met and just about the time you thought you might want a snack or a meal, the attendants were already heading down the aisle. Because of an allergic reaction, I asked for ice a number of times and the attendants were more than happy to meet my needs."

They didn't collect garbage before landing. Not only did we have to take our bags off the plane, we had to carry our garbage (drink cups/food served) to the front of the plane to throw out."

Ulemper: "Poor timing - no reason for a 40 minute delay at take off (plane was fully boarded in time) Old aircraft, shabby, dirty and cramped seats. Coming from my connecting flight from Barcelona, I could clearly tell the different in the quality (and cleanliness) of the aircrafts."

Fordeler: "On both of my flights to New York City, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the flight attendants were to the passengers. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Fordeler: "Of the multiple international airlines I recently flew with, I would have to say KLM was by far the best. Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Ulemper: "KLM had bumped us to a later flight for no reason and again we had to call with a long wait to get our original connection restored, However, we did not get boarding passes during checking in Europe and thus had to go outside security in Detroit to the main check-in gate and wait 30 minutes to get the error resolved. Then it was back thorough security and a rush to the gate to get there in time to board. Lost our original seat assignment and wound up in the last row at the tail of the plane. Extremely poor coordination between KLM and Delta who operated the flight."

SAS er i ferd med å bli håpløst utdatert for business reisende, dessverre. Man kaller det Plus og selger det inn som en business class, men det er jo bare tull... Reise fra CPH til Island var med Icelandair, full business og topp service, reise fra Reykjavik til Oslo, med SAS, var et svært gammelt fly, gamle og dårlige seter, fullt av mennesker som sild i tønne og dårlig mat. Mens flyet fra Oslo til Stavanger var nytt, alt var bedre men det burde vært motsatt; lengre distanser, bedre komfort, for fullt betalende passasjerer, men det tenker ikke SAS på. Jeg faser ut SAS fra nå av og vil fly mest mulig med andre selskap ut fra Stavanger, så det blir nok mer KLM fra nå av..

Ulemper: "It could have been the perfect trip, but I am not sure why SAS baggage handling is so mediocre. In both the flights from EWR to OSLO and back, every aspect of the trip was super, except for the wait for baggage. In Oslo, I estimate having waited at least a half an hour at the carousel before the bags started showing up, and the same in Newark. We had long cleared Immigration, which normally is not a speedy process, and yet still had to wait at least 20 minutes for the FIRST bag to appear on the carousel. Most annoying, particularly after a relatively long flight, and especially for transfer passengers who needed to recheck their bags to continue to other destinations."
Ulemper: "Was overlooked by the pursor a couple times - he probably had a lot on his plate. Also, the "snack" at the end of the trip was sorely lacking! Especially for a 7 hour flight. The bathrooms were gross & out of toilet paper. And it seemed like one was locked constantly...?"

There was a second snack given just before landing that was basically roasted peppers on bread that was not good -- so you know, many vegetarians actually have sensitivity against peppers, so perhaps another vegetable or option would be better there. Crew was very affable and helpful."
Ulemper: "See point before re: second snack. Our flight was delayed for two hours, presumably due to snow in Oslo. The boarding area was disorganized -- something I remember from flying through Norway a few years ago as well. I also didn't quite understand why I received priority boarding, as a United gold member on my outbound fight, but not on my return. So the inconsistency was a bit confusing/frustrating. But the flight overall was smooth, and the accommodations quite good."

On the return flight I was told that this amount would be - as it turned out in my case - less than half, if I called SAS a day before departure. Why did I have to pay for the checked luggage at all?"
Fordeler: "It was100 % flawless and I recommend the SAS airline to all. The airline staff is great and the food is good."
Ulemper: "As previously stated, I think the airline should do a better job in answering phone calls. If they do answer the phone (1-800-221-2350), they either put you on hold for a whole day or, if you leave your phone no. and name to have them call you back, they never do . I am not the only person who has this experience. It is too bad because if this continues, the airline will loose business and I would hate to see that. However, I still will use KAYAK"

My friends booked with Expedia the exact itinerary and were able to reach a human and we're told that SAS always reimburses for cancellations. I finally emailed vayamas/kayak to cancel and 5 days later received a reply that there was no cancellation refund. Apparently Kayak provides a no communication/no refund policy. My travel companion had the opposite experience with Expedia."

Had we had earlier notice, I would have had time to hit the book store. Since the flight was delayed an hour, they had plenty of time to notify us earlier than just before boarding. An 8.5 hour flight without entertainment made the experience unpleasant."

Even bigger disappointment was that I booked a business class seat and paid three times more money then a normal economy ticket, there wasn't any business class seat and all seats were occupied in the front rows. Staff was generally rude and not willing to help."

Clean airplane with great staff

Alt fungerte meget bra. Crew var vennlige og opplagte, hadde fokus på jobben og hadde kontroll på oppgavene. Bare positivt å bemerke! Reiser mye med Finnair, og den gode opplevelsen er standard. Personalet får antagelig skolering og kan omgås passasjerene med vennlighet og respekt.

I love love this airline. The crew was awesome; so friendly, professional, and playful. The seats were comfy & very clean. Great entertainment selection and the Complimentary wine was most appreciated! 3 thumbs up 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Traveling these days can be a little strange and at times more difficult than normal due to this pandemic. Finnair did an amazing job and all areas of the trip! I would absolutely fly with finnair again and will recommend the airline to friends and family.

Fordeler: "The employee at the checkin counter in Oslo set everything up for us regarding our wheelchair and walker. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. She arranged for a pick up in Helsinki with the airport's crew. They helped us unload the plane and then had a personal accessible bus to take us from where we landed (outside of terminal) to the gate of our next departure. The crew were all extremely professional and efficient."
Ulemper: "The leg room is never enough on the long flights. The flight from Chicago to Helsinki at 10:00pm was not nearly as good as the flights from Oslo to Helsinki to Chicago. The crew was not as pleasant, the lights were not turned off until after 1:00 am and then turned on hours before the light "breakfast" was served."

Ulemper: "My family's seats were separated by several rows. The airport gate was not manned until several minutes before boarding time. We had to ride a bus to board the plane. There was an extra passport check. The plane had a very old and outdated entertainment system."
Fordeler: "HiFly is awful. Terrible food. Really not much service. It gets you from point A to B ..... but not always. Our return flight was cancelled with no reason given. Instead of a 2pm direct we were put on an 8am with a layover. The only saving grace is that our transatlantic was on Delta, which was amazing."

I planned my trip with more than enough time to make connection... Called about my travel insurance and found out it kicked in after 6 hour delay. Customer service should never make you feel like the issue is your fault."

Fordeler: "The flight to and from Los Angeles was operated by British Airways and was on one of their Airbus fleet. Boarding was completed efficiently and with ease. I sat on the upper deck and was very comfortable in comparison to other major airlines previously used for this particular flight. The plane was very clean and the crew were outstanding. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble for crew, and they were ready with beverages, including tea and coffee, and snacks throughout the flight. In flight entertainment was good. All in all very pleasant flight to and from the U K."

Ulemper: "We were unable to find a row of seats to more comfortably facilitate traveling with a baby and a toddler as seats that should have had a cot or extra seating didn't have the cot and were sold out for an additional fee before we had the chance to. Discussing this with the staff at check0in and at the gate, made no difference as they had no knowledge of what was available on that particular flight. Every time I fly with American I'm reminded of why I don't like the airline and I will do my best to avoid them moving forward regardless of competitive ticket pricing."
Fordeler: "I was very pleased with the overall experience on the flight from London to Charlotte. The flight itself was very pleasant, the crew very accommodating, & the food, snacks & beverages very good. The entertainment provided was certainly suitable for my tastes & kept me occupied for the majority of the trip. There was also blackout time provided for sleeping. The seats were a little cramped, but overall I rate my experience as very good."
Fordeler: "I booked the seats with extra room - really glad I did. The food wasn't bad, the entertainment system worked. I definitely prefer the Virgin Atlantic entertainment system, but I fly AA fairly often and will continue to."

We get to the airport at least three hours early because of stuff like this, but the incredibly slow line and unorganized way of handling it ate any of the time I'd looked so forward spending at Heathrow (I love hitting Boots etc)."

Flyselskaper som flyr til USA har vedtatt ytterligere sikkerhetstiltak og regulerte retningslinjer for å bedre kunne ivareta reisende. Retningslinjene varierer etter flyselskap.
