Ulemper: Overall IT was a great trip, but the Seat are still the best Selling point for business class, not vert confortable for a 7h et 12h flight

Fordeler: the new seating in Business Class is very comfortable and so similar, although slightly less spacious, than First on some carriers. Crew is top class. Doha is a great airport too. I prefer it to Dubai.
Ulemper: During flight after first meal the cabin temperature is way to cold. Then it gets warmer but later, second half of the flight the air gets very cold again so it’s difficult to have a good sleep.

Fordeler: We struggled to get the system to add our bags. Never got it to work and had to pay at check-in. It was even worse coming back! When bad weather caused delays and we missed our connecting flight from Frankfurt to Istanbul they put us on Turkish Airlines which was fabulous!!
Ulemper: Lufhtansa is slipping. They are acting like a budget airline when the expectation is for a full service airline. The online check-in would not let us add bags even though we tried for 3 hours. Not impressed with this.
Fordeler: Boarding was efficient. Everything else was average.
Ulemper: With the exception of one Asian cabin crew, others were cold. Food has worsened on Lufthansa. Portion and quality are not as good as 1 year ago. I find the seat average in comfort for premium economy. If only the seat would move forward, I keep sliding off it. Cathay Pacific has a much better seat.
Fordeler: Beautiful plane, economy seating more generous than normal, excellent in-seat entertainment (easy to navigate, more options than I've ever seen before). Well done!

Ulemper: The airline fix the booking problem because my trip was from Zurich to Brussels to Washington DC to Austin and went I print my boarding passes only show to Brussels. The booking agent didn’t complete all the way in the computer. I am thankful that I had my original paper and Swiss airlines fix it
Fordeler: The crew is excellent. Very friendly, professional, and helpful. Both on board and at the desk inside the airport. They listen to your needs and respond the best they can. Seats are comfortable enough for Economy. Good selection of movies to watch. The flight was on time and arrived even a little earlier than expected.
Ulemper: The food was filling, but not particularly tasty. For those seated toward the back, there was no choice. Although maybe there was no choice to begin with. Normally, on international flights, for the first (bigger) meal at least, you are given two choices, such as meat or vegetarian, beef or chicken. The food itself wasn't great. The salad was below average on both flight, from and to Chicago. So was the desert. Drinks are offered once with each meal in very small glasses. Although there is a bottle of water from the start.
Fordeler: Finnair cabin/seats, clean, quiet and comfortable airport in Helsinki
Ulemper: Not only the first flight got delayed for over 2 hours. I had to re-book the second - connecting - flight because of that. Now it made my layover instead of 1 h 45 m - 5 hours! Then the second flight got delayed!! So instead of 5 hours layover it was over 7 hours!!! Very inconvenient and upsetting experience. The only reason I booked these particular flights is because they were advertized as "the shortest trip" time on your website...
Fordeler: Helsinki is a convenient connection to fly to the U.S. One of Finnair planes was damaged earlier in Chicago and they used AirItaly to operate this flight. I was traveling with a recent wrist fracture and I was lucky I had an empty seat next to me that allowed me to move my arm a lot to avoid swelling.
Ulemper: Our boarding was an hour and a half delayed

Ulemper: Worst ground staff in Abu Dhabi and in LA. Will never fly them again. Were very unhelpful when boarding the flight in Abu Dhabi. In fact they encouraged us to not board and take another flight the next day!!! Worst flying experience ever. Will never fly them again!!!

Ulemper: 2hr delay at JFK resulted in missing my connecting flight to Dubai. The drink and meal service was awful. I tried calling for an attendant using the help button and they didn’t respond at all.
Ulemper: Entertainment needs to improve. there is poor movie selection and the screens are outdated. Touchscreens don’t work very well, movie selection is old. This is a 10+ hour flight please improve entertainment.

Ulemper: After having no issues with my carryon on my first Norwegian flight of the day, I was forced to pay 650 NoK to check my carryon as we were boarding my flight from Oslo to New York. This was just ridiculous because my bag fit in the overhead bins just fine and there we’re many empty overhead bins

Fordeler: It was better with the earache, plane felt cleaner, the crew was more friendly and attentive. Didn't feel as dark as the first flight.
Ulemper: The Star Alliance flights aren't that cheap. Comparable price between Lufthansa, Swiss, SAS and Austrian. Lufthansa gives you food, and has friendly service. SAS gives you coffee and tea. On Austrian and Swiss I didn't get anything. For same price range and same alliance, that is a point I keep in mind. Now I mainly try to get onto Lufthansa flights (or Turkish Airlines which is my favorite). Even on Aegean, I got better food, and the magazine was better, plus there were some monitors to track the flight. Austrian feels cheaper than the others. That is the main point I didn't like.
Ulemper: I was switched seats against my will on board! Although i reserved the seat ahead of time when i got in i was pretty much forced to sit somewhere else. The staff handled the sitution in a very poor manner!
Ulemper: There was a disruption with the audio system.

Fordeler: The staff was very helpful and friendly. They provided a hotel, meals, and transportation on a long layover.
Ulemper: Transportation from the aircraft to terminals.
Fordeler: Not much, actually.
Ulemper: None of the air stewardess has a smile on their face when talking to or serving passengers. I’m not sure they know how to engage with passengers in a friendly way. My entertainment screen wasn’t working. After resetting, it took them an hour to inform me that I could move to another seat if I wanted to, as they couldn’t resolve the problem with the screen. The food lacked in flavour and the sausage served for breakfast was undercooked.
Ulemper: Flight attendants where bothered to serve us beer, water or any other snack during he flight. I had to beg in both occasions to have my tray taken from my seat.
Fordeler: Same as the San Francisco to Istanbul leg. Great experience, just the effect of the flight delays and missing my connection.
Ulemper: Better communication and assistance with luggage. I was told that my bags would automatically migrate to my new flight the next day, but they didn’t make it, and I am now in the process of finding them.
Fordeler: The food was good and the service was mostly good.
Ulemper: Our cabin was very warm and seats were uncomfortable.
Ulemper: I didn’t make the flight to Antayla because the airport customs takes too long, kayak needs to let travelers know they need a visa and passport to travel through IST. Also tight connections are impossible.

Fordeler: Boarding was great. There is priority boarding available for those booked on connecting long haul premium economy flights.
Ulemper: The seat was very uncomfortable. For a 2 hour flight, it was okay. Any longer would have been difficult.
Ulemper: Los Angeles to Frankfurt on an A380 was great. Flight to Tel Aviv was good. But trying to navigate around Frankfurt was very difficult.

Ulemper: Would have preferred to watch one comedy movie. The crazy rich Asians was on a lighter side of a movie but I had seen that one already.
Ulemper: Boarding began 25 min after the indicated time. Huge crowd of people (big Airbus 330) was standing in the corridor in some kind of disorganized manner. Priority entrance was open, but then another 20-25 min in the closed waiting area, some kind of hoarder. Only then the mixture of all passengers was let through the sleeve to the plane. Why bother about Priority? Plane arrive in NYC 35 min late. Many transit passengers worried about their connecting flights.
Fordeler: Speedy boarding process, good meal choices.
Ulemper: Plane was a little dirty. Entertainment was also a little limited in terms of new releases.
