I was given a bag with eye cover, earplugs, socks, face wipes and ear phones. Entertainment was good as well. Qatar is an amazing airline. Wish we had something like this in the States!"

Fordeler: "Qatar is quite possibly the best airline in the world, especially on its long haul flights. It is heads above the other two major Persian Gulf airlines. All the employees with whom I dealt were excellent and customer-oriented. The planes between Doha and London were new, had more space than older planes and had an excellent selection of movies and TV shows. I ordered special meals on all the flights, and I was very satisfied. I have been a fan of Qatar Airways since I flew it to Australia in 2011. It continues to do a superb job, even in Economy."
Ulemper: "Food options on both legs were terrible. On the first leg, only one of the three options was actually available. I understand that you have to account for varied decisions by customers, but only having one of the three listed options when you're just half way through the cabin is pretty weak. Disappointed that entertainment options hadn't changed from the previous month."

Ulemper: "I had 15 hours layover in Amsterdam so I got me a hotel.one hour after I got to the hotel I got a notification from Kayak app asking me to go get my bag from Schiphol. My bag was supposed to be directly shipped to PDX. I had to leave my hotel back to the airport and spend 2 hours trying to find it only to be told that it was going to PDX. I lost my $170 hotel room, over $70 for taxis and ended up spending the night on the floor at Schipol. I do not think I'll ever use Kayak again. The travel guarantee is a joke too."

Ulemper: "Boarding is ridiculous. Everyone who is not some kind of VIP is asked to line up and is treated like cattle. 5-feet tall woman holds above her head a sign with the zone currently boarding. Nobody can hear or see anything. Why not use the big LCD displays at the gate??? In the plane they had to restart the computer system as some TVs were not working and it took longer than they said. Toilets were kind of stinky and I could smell them from my seat on row 26. Blankets are way too thin for the blasting AC."

Ulemper: "This was the fourth first class leg of our overall trip and the first three flights on Delta were great. The attendants were pleasant and even fun. I have allergies and requested a special meal on all legs. No problem on the first three flights. All attendants approached me to confirm my allergy and the special meal. They were very polite. But on this flight, the attendant didn't speak with me about it at all. She tried to give me the regular meal. When I explained I needed an allergy free meal (mind you this was first class), I was told I could not get it and got no apology or other accommodation. Her attitude was take it or leave it. I found this interesting since on two of the other flights an announcement was made about another passenger with an allergy to peanuts so no one could have them on the flights and the attendants were very concerned."

Ulemper: "Again, Kayak should allow at least 2 hours of transfer time when booking flights through LAX. I had to go from one terminal to another AND go through immigration and security. In order to make sure I had enough time to make the connecting flight, I didn't check in my luggage which lead to me having to minimize liquids and pastes in my luggage (no vanilla extract or tequila). Also while making the transfer I felt rushed and stressed out. I might search for tickets using Kayak but I would not buy tickets directly from Kayak if my route involves a transfer at an airport that I am not familiar with."

Ulemper: "Entertainments options were shockingly few. Honestly have not been on a plane recently with so few and limited options of TV series and movies. I was extremely surprised. Wish I had know and I would’ve had more options for my family."
Ulemper: "I had paid for an upgrade to sit in the front of the cabin with extra legroom (row 14A). When I boarded a man sat it my seat. He had not paid for the upgrade, but the crew let him stay in my seat. I had asked him to social distance but he continued to sit right behind me bo matter which seat I moved to. He argued with the crew until they gave up and let him stay. They did not check his boarding pass or ask him to move to his assigned seat I found a different seat away from him but I don’t see the point in paying for extra legroom when the crew let’s people who haven’t paid for it sit it those seats. I felt harassed by the man and was very uncomfortable the whole flight. I am considering my next step, I think I should at least receive a refund for the upgrade I paid for."

Fordeler: "Jet was a CRJ900 and was very comfortable. Had to check baggage before entering plane but worked out well and helped with the boarding."
Ulemper: "Late departure for that most meaningless of excuses - the late arriving aircraft. And so late arriving at destination. On arrival at Berlin, there was also noone at the gate to allow us to leave the plane. All in all meant missing pickup time at the airport, and extra cost."

Ulemper: "The flight was over 2 hours late leaving Copenhagen, and then we sat at the gate while they unloaded bags to find the luggage of some passengers who decided not to be on that flight. Then it was total chaos at O'Hare. Very few SAS ticket agents who were not prepared to deal with the many passengers who had missed connections. We spent the night on hard chairs in the airport when we could have been re-booked on a flight out that night if they had been at all organized and efficient."
Fordeler: "We mentioned it was our anniversary and thought about moving up to SAS Plus, but the cost was not an option to us. She moved us up before we got on the plane! Extremely nice!!"
Ulemper: "SAS is a train wreck. everything they told us was misinformation from the first delay (there were 5 delays, one each hour, before they cancelled) The whole time they would not allow ticket changes while we watched available flights take off for 5 hours. We had no say in the rebooking - they just said wait you will get an email. The SAS workers need to be trained - how about putting up a sign that says "this line for parking vouchers ony'ly" when 300 people are lined up for assistance."
Ulemper: "The flight was more than one hour delayed."
Fordeler: "Flight left on time, plane was clean, the entertainment was good, and the food was good. The crew in this flight were polite and responsive."

Ulemper: "I ordered vegetarian from their transfer office at the Copenhagen airport. Days before the return flight yet to chicago they had no record of my vegetarian meal The same transfer desk told me there were no morning flights to amsterdam the next day so they booked me 930pm next day, I found hour later a flight on Dad leaving 6am next morning, had to buy own toclet"
Fordeler: "Very accommodating to me when I was flying solo with my 15 mo. old."

Ulemper: "The movies and tv shows could be different for inbound and outbound flies, or at least change them more often"
Ulemper: "Horrible. They claim "free wifi" but it didn't work. 8.5 hour flight without wifi is ridiculous."

Ulemper: "Lost my luggage when the other 3 people who I am traveling with got theirs. Not sure what went wrong there. No SAS personnel was available, actually there was no airline counter even. I filed a lost and found report at the airport. I will contact the airline , hope they will find my bags or at least provide vouchers for my one week vacation."
Fordeler: "Everything went smoothly. Timely boarding in a very efficient and comfortable process. Really great food and accomodating staffing"
Ulemper: "When trying to board in Copenhagen there were some mishaps, but these were mainly caused by people ignoring signs along the way. They did not offer any complimentary snacks at all. Only one drink"
Fordeler: "The entertainment system was very good. The crew were all efficient and courteous, with the exception of one crew member who was rather curt."
Ulemper: "Our plane arrived at IAD late due to a minor mechanical that was repaired at its previous destination. Consequently, we departed IAD almost two hours late, causing us to miss our connection in Copenhagen. Norwegian Air had a flight leaving shortly from Copenhagen to Rome, but the transfer agent told us SAS "does not re-book with Norwegian." Instead we were assigned to two more flights, one to Brussels, and another from Brussels to Rome. We arrived in Rome around 17:00 rather than 10:35 as scheduled, losing a full day of sight-seeing."

Fordeler: "Our crew were wonderful - attentive, very pleasant, and helpful. The cod was very good and I enjoyed my meal. The seats wer comfortable. I also enjoyed the Icelandic movie "Let Me Fall"."
Ulemper: "For an 8-hour flight, it would have been nice to have more of a foot rest; something that would raise my legs more. However, the seats were comfortable."
Fordeler: "Flight was cancelled and had to be rebooked, pushing our travel home back a day. No positives."
Ulemper: "Work around the flight cancellation better to keep people on schedule."

Ulemper: "Boarding procee in Iceland for Saga class means you get called up first to wait in line for bus to plane. There you wait for others to check in the gate. Then you proceed to board the bus. Saga class was with everyone. By the time we got on board waiting to climb the stairs we were soaked from the rain. Our bags were marked priority yet to our dismay it took 20 minutes for our bags to come on the carosill after others started getting there bags. Glad We had those priority stickers as we were clearly in the last of the bunch. 0"
Fordeler: "All was fine: economy seats with great legroom; helpful, nice crew; efficient updates from icelandair - had a flight delay, which resulted in an overnight in Iceland that turned into a mini vacation."
Ulemper: "Delay and missed connection caused getting back to work a day late but it was a fun interruption."

Ulemper: "Delays in boarding. Ticket was bought 8 months ago with seat selected but when checking in found I was put on standby and had to wait until everyone else boarded. Assistance at gate to try and get seat assignment very poor as I was simply told to wait. On flight from Iceland to Portland the gate did not even start boarding until close to official departure time and plane left about 30 minutes late. Result I barely made my last connection in Portland but my luggage did not arrive because maybe customs checking took too long."
Fordeler: "Plane boarded and left mostly on schedule. The price was pretty incredible, I paid a fraction of what I expected based on previous trips to Europe."
Ulemper: "Arriving in Reykjavik, we needed to bus to the terminal. Weather was fine so it wasn't a big deal, but it involved additional waiting and the buses fill up quickly."
Ulemper: "The flight was delaying for 1 hour and 45 minutes. It was not a pleasant time yesterday. The airline did not tell passengers what caused the delaying. I hope the airline will improve this caused next time."
Fordeler: "I just want to give a particular shout out to Marta from flight FI655 REK to PDX on April 10th. I was extremely dehydrated and blacked out for a moment. Next thing I know, the crew is on me, asking me questions, trying to get me some help. They found a doctor on the flight and attended to me extremely calmly. They got me a nice seat where Marta checked on me for the rest of the flight, made sure I ate and drank something, got my things from my seat, and overall gave me far more attention than I could have ever asked for. Thanks, Marta! (Please give this woman a raise or a medal or something.)"

Fordeler: "The entertainment and ability to charge your phone was awesome. The flight attendants were professional. The flight was on time to Oslo and from also, as well as to and from Reykjavik from Kennedy and Boston."
Ulemper: "There was no one at a desk to welcome you. No boarding children or the back rows of the plane first. I almost missed my flight to Boston from Reykjavik because the gate was actually an unmarked door with a flight of stairs. I have never been on any airline with such an inferior boarding experience. Just swipe your boarding pass and wait with the other miserable looking passengers. No nice facilities to sit either. Many people just on the floor."
Fordeler: "This 767 was a very nice and spacious plane"
Ulemper: "No snacks, no meals offered"
Ulemper: "Why only two bathrooms at the tail of the plane? Makes for a long line of people and not much room to stretch out on an eight hour flight."
Fordeler: "The complimentary service. The wonderful passenger lounge where we waited before going to the gate was a treat! We appreciated the free salad buffet and beverages. It was a quiet oasis!"
Ulemper: "Crowding and standing room only in Reykjavik terminal at the gate with no seating available was very difficult. There were several gates located in one small area very close together and no way to queue up for your particular gate. People were pushing through the crowd from the back to find their gate instead of being able to form an orderly line. If you are elderly or compromised in any way, this can be very stressful and uncomfortable. Our boarding was delayed and it was a miserable experience standing for so long with people pushing past us. Riding the buses and carrying our bags up several stairs to get on the plane was not easy and we were stressed and exhausted by the experience. The seats in this plane were not as comfortable as the flight from Helsinki. The seats were small and not deep enough, and had no foot rests. So the longest part of our flight to Portland was not as comfortable. Riding the bus from our arrival gate and baggage area in Portland and on to the main terminal was difficult. After getting our checked bags though customs and piled onto a cart along with our carry on bags, we had to unload them all into the bus and ride standing up holding on to everything while the driver went a little too fast, making it very hard to stay standing. Again, this makes it very stressful and difficult for anyone who is older or compromised physically. Iceland Air is not a friend of the elderly!"
Fordeler: "An eight hour flight but no food provided? Only for purchase? I can't think of any overseas flight I've had that didn't provide some type of meal."
Fordeler: "nice flight, excellent attendant service, especially the lead attendant who provided me with a bag of ice to put on the ankle I twisted in the airport while looking for my wife who was in the enhanced security check line (never did find her) she finally showed up 45 minutes later. food was great, nice amenities, comfortable seats, good service, smooth flight, I have no complaints with Icelandair, I will fly them again"
Ulemper: "The aforementioned enhanced US security check on my 74 year old wife, she is not a muslim and she was not wearing a hajib) they need to use common sense (of course, being government employees they are not allowed that privilege) Here is something to keep in mind; none of this S--- would be necessary if it weren't for MUSLIMS"

Fordeler: "Our seats barely reclined-same as economy Couldn't stretch legs due to bulkhead. While purpose of Business Class was to enable sleeping. Without stretching out, that didn't happen"
Fordeler: "Oslo airport was great., spacious, good food and shopping, clean, well signed, plenty of places to charge electronics"
Ulemper: "My in flight movie screen was broken. No food was served the entire 7 hour flight! Not even a pack of peanuts. I expect much much more on a long flight like this."
Fordeler: "Wow Icelandair was great! Some friends used Wow air the day before and despite tickets being a similar price, it sounds like their flight wasn't nearly as nice. One thing I really loved was they had instructional videos about Iceland (driving safety and Icelandic culture for example) on the in flight entertainment system. They also had a really nice selection of movies including fairly new blockbusters and old classics."
Ulemper: "Food and snacks cost extra and weren't cheap, but it's to be expected from such an inexpensive ticket."
Ulemper: "There is really very limited drink service. Bring a water bottle with you and fill it at the airport. Bring some snacks or a meal too."

Ulemper: "I felt very cramped on the flight over. The waiting area by the terminal gate in Iceland was crowded and there was no available seating. I got our seat assignments ahead of time but when we got to the airport they did not have a record so my daughter and I sat apart on the flight over. The staff declined to help figure it out. On the flight back my daughter was asked to give up her seat for another person so we didn't sit together again. We did not want to delay the boarding line and the attendant was not going to take no for an answer. Her seat was given to an adult who was traveling with their adult partner."
