Ulemper: "After checking in for 1.5 hour, the crew told me that my name is not in the system 15 mins before boarding. Of course, I could not get on that flight. Result, staying extra 12 hours in the airport plus force to stay one night in Guangzhou."
Ulemper: "The airlines should have serve meal meal early instead of waiting almost half way through the flight"
Fordeler: "The food was ok I wish there was more western choices on the menu and sandwiches for snacks in between meals"
Ulemper: "The gates between arrival and departure terminals are so far apart that if you have a short layerover and your plane is running late you might miss your connecting flight"
Fordeler: "I like it allow an adult passenger with 2 free checked baggages,each can be 23kg max."
Ulemper: "The Online service is only set for Chinese who is living in China. You can not do the Seat Reservation without Chines mobile phone. You can not do any pre check-in because you are holding an Australia Passport."
Fordeler: "On Time departure. Attentive crews."
Ulemper: "It would be nice to see a smiley faces from all the cabin crews while providing services."
Fordeler: "This is the first time I checked in on China southern online. The process is confusing and when there are several legs to the flight you get a warning message the last leg can't be used if you check in. I am not sure if it is because the flight was long and it was timing of the check in. I ended going around the process by calling delta and checking in on their site."
Ulemper: "I selected middle and window seats for each flight so my girlfriend could rest her head on the window and sleep. We were given middle seats and aisle on each of our flights. It’s fristrating that I paid extra to book the seats we wanted and we did not get them."
Fordeler: ""Nothing". I really mean it Nothing."
Ulemper: "I was flying to Delhi & it was an emergency situation for me bcz i lost my Dad & i was flying to perform the cremation of my Dad. And thing this was informed to the China Southern officials so that they could arrange something for me. I requested them to put me into another flight for which i was ready to pay the whole amount but no one listen to my request & i had to wait so long. I was amazed to see that no one was keen to understand my problem at both he airports i.e. Auckland Airport & Ganzhaou Airport. Apart from this the behavior of your officials was so rude & arrogant it made me feel as if i was a slave or some kind of culprit. Due to the ignorance & laid back attitude on your part i couldn't reach my destination on my time. Seriously it took me "24 hrs Extra" to reach my destination & as a result of which i couldn't perform the cremation. I was pissed off by the service; complete ignorance by the staff/officials of ur airlines. I wasn't expecting this kind of treatment from a reputed company like you. I request you guys to look into this matter seriously and try to take some corrective measures so that this thing won't happen in future with someone else."
Ulemper: "No entertainment, not even an English language newspaper. Delayed boarding and departure, as usual."
Fordeler: "I am really contented of my flight. Not enough waiting in connecting flights and my baggage were all okey."

Ulemper: "I had one luggage which was long delayed in coming out of the airport luggage arrival carousel even if I am a Business Class passenger"
Fordeler: "China Southern has nice customer service, good entertainment options and decent food. They moved me to a bulkhead seat because i am tall, but it was immediately behind business class and so offered no extra room. The agent who ticketed me did try to get me a good seat."
Ulemper: "Everything is positive."
Fordeler: "The flight was long but its was in a good area to sit in"

Ulemper: "1).I requested VEGAN-VEGETARIAN FOOD. No Food was without Fish, shrimp, salmon.My wife and I stayed without food. 2). My wife and I requested for WHEEL CHAIR. No wheel chair was provided to us. 3) The Stewards were very poor in English conversation, and it was a very uncomfortable feeling of talking to people who are staring at you as if you are from a different planet."
Ulemper: "I will never fly with China Southern again- ever. They wouldn't Re-book me on the flight the following day when they wouldn't let me on the flight due to my gate agent not checking me in. Terrible terrible terrible service."
Fordeler: "They feed us so much food! Amazing service!!!!"
Ulemper: "I liked it all!!"
Fordeler: "comfort level, movie selection on a long flight, and the Flight Attendants were very kind and helpful. Always a lot of legroom"
Fordeler: "Nice flight in business class. Good food, good entertainment. No complaints there."
Ulemper: "The long layover in Wuhan was a drag. China Southern couldn't check me through from Bangkok to San Francisco so I had to claim luggage and wait 7 hours at Wuhan Airport without access to a lounge or anything else for that matter."
Fordeler: "It was on time even thought there was a storm."
Ulemper: "Ok I really don't understand this. I'm from Guangzhou and CAN is home airport and China Southern Airline is pretty much my hometown airline. So basically CAN is their hub and they should have certain privileges at CAN. But every time I went to CAN to take a China Southern airline I had to take a shuttle to board the flight. Even for a huge flight like 787 you still have to take the shuttle to board. Can't they request a gate for big air crafts like this? And then the food is really bad. If you don't have to land in CAN, I would consider flying to HKG instead with Cathay Pacific."

Fordeler: "Non stop Flight to Guangzhou,Timing of the is good you can start your work earlier."
Ulemper: "only they serve is chines food , They should have 2 options. they dint have any new movies"
Ulemper: "The flight from Korea to Beijing was delayed several times, causing me to miss my onward connections in Beijing and Urumqi. They claimed this was due to weather concerns, but funny that--it was partly cloudy at worst, and every other carrier seemed to be departing on time. Because this isn't a daily route, they reschedule me for two days later at no cost (the one thing that went well here), and the exact same thing--multiple delays, missed connections, and all as other carriers seemed to be running on schedule. At this point, I just deemed the trip not worth it. They have refunded my fare, but I would have preferred my two weeks holiday in Georgia by far."
Ulemper: "They lost my baggage and changed boarding times without notifying me."
Fordeler: "Nice staff"

Fordeler: "Itinerary is everything and we could not have gotten better direct flights, especially for the price. (They discount child fares too). The 319's don't have individual movies but they played a nice kids movie on the overhead screens which was a pleasant surprise. And even though the flight was delayed I can't be too upset because they upgraded our family of 7 to economy plus ahead of time without me even asking (We risked not paying for seat selection and it worked out great!). Bags checked all the way through and no complications on any of our 4 international flights, that's good service!"
Ulemper: "Flight was delayed two hours from CAN to RGN and we had to take a bus to our airplane. The A1-A5 gate area is bare bones for waiting but they handed out snacks and water to try to help."

Fordeler: "Because of our 8-hour layover in Guangzhou, China Southern gave us a free hotel room 30 minutes from the airport, which included a free buffet breakfast. The bus to the hotel was also complementary. Also, they fed us twice on the trip from LAX, and once more on the flight to Hanoi."
Ulemper: "The food was okay but could be improved. Also, the online check-in system for our flight from LAX was unavailable."
Fordeler: "Early arrival, entertainment was good."

Ulemper: "Food is very bad. At dinner they only have one choice when coming to my row. Told us they are running out choice."

Fordeler: "Additonal transit stop not mentioned on itinerary. No through check -in for luggage was disappointing Vegetarian meal not available evn though it was requested much in advance"
Fordeler: "I was worried about such a long night flight with an airline that I wasn't familiar with but they were extremely polite and helpful, the seats were comfortable and a great entertainment selection. To everyone who complained about the food... It was not bad, actually better than most airplane food I have had. And I didn't hear a single person have anything negative to say about it as they polished everything off!"

Fordeler: "Agent failed to forward my meal request but the crew somehow scraped together what I needed."

Ulemper: "The fact that I had to recheck my luggage multiple times with no instruction was annoying and uncalled for. That and going thru way to many security checks in China even though I was connecting flights. Taking a flight to Wuhan to get off plane go thru customs then getting back on plane when I already did that was absurd."

Fordeler: "The crew is all very polite and proffetional. The airplane is in good shape, and the business class is very comfortable. Good movies on the plane."
Ulemper: "China Southern lounge in Los Angeles is very disappointing compare to any other. Out of 4 flights we had 2 delays of 2-3 hours each. Food is not in the quality you expect at least not for business class. They take your headphones 1 hour before landing while the movies run until 15 min before landing."
Ulemper: "This airline needs to get it together with the delays. To keep it short, I will not fly with this airline again."
