Ulemper: "Turkish Airlines does not communicate with its passengers. If the flight is late (as both of ours were), you wait with no information as to when the flight leaves. The same lack of communication occurs once you on board. I joked to my wife that the cargo on a Fed-Ex flight is given more information. Arrived in Istanbul with a very tight connection. Airplane was not given a gate so we needed to take a bus to terminal. The bus dropped us just about as far from our connecting gate as possible. Since it took four buses to transport passengers, one could have been designated for US bound transfer passengers (who were all leaving from same group of gates) and taken us directly there."

Ulemper: "Flight was delayed by over an hour causing us to miss our connecting flight. Had to wait in the airport all night and no one from Turkish airlines did anything to help us or accommodate us during our unexpected overnight layover."
Ulemper: "This flight seems to be overbooked a lot! Why does Turkish Airlines let this happen so often? Had the same situation on my way to Istanbul. It just takes sooo much time and everything will be delayed and people get angry all along...."

When I told them about the price of the tickets online, the response of the customer service agent was "yeah, sometimes the penalties are high". He didn't do anything to try to help. The entire Turkish airlines team at IST is the biggest joke for a customer service team I have ever encountered in any line of business. I have never met a group of "professionals" that are so unprofessional, rude, void of empathy, and overall customer service knowledge than the turkish airlines team at IST. I will never conduct business with Turkish Airlines again and will ensure all my friends, family, and colleagues try their best to avoid them too."

Ulemper: "Lousy boarding, we were standing on the bus for a long time, in front of the not ready airplane. Entertainment was bad, the sound plugs didn't work properly, the movies kept breaking off. Not a standard we were expecting at all :("

Ulemper: "In contrast to my former experiences at different airports in Zurich, Boston and Istanbul, the check-in staff at Tabriz airport were really rude and non-cooperative. I had hard time checking in and my belongings inside my back pack was rejected due to less than 1 kilo excess weight. The behavior was unacceptable. I might reconsider taking Turkish flights from smaller airports in future, or taking it at all."

Ulemper: "Make a rule that people cannot put their seats back. People in front of us were rude and kept their seats back the entire flight, even after we nicely asked them to not have the seats back so far. Would prefer that seats did not move at all. I would never recline my seat in consideration for the person behind me. On an 11 hour flight, this is a big deal."
Ulemper: "Only reason I chose Lufthansa was that I was informed that 23kg of checked in luggage was included. It was NOT. I don't care whose fault it is. Lufthansa still says that this is included on their website. I demand reimbursement."
Fordeler: "Flight was good. The problem was the ticket purchased from Kayak was not as stated. Because there was a layover in Amsterdam, I was not able to check my bag all the way through to USA. AND I had to visit 5 counters to check bag, pay for bag at different counter and 3 other counters!"
Ulemper: "It would have been better if the ticket I purchased was the one that I selected. It was not as advertised. I searched for ticket that was translatlantic with one checked bag. BUT kayak booked an ECONOMY LIGHT fare that required payment. It was not as advertised and a total head ache for check in."

Ulemper: "Little to no overhead cabin room to stow by my bag so had to place under my feet."

The plane was about 30 minutes late which was nice because it took a while to get off our Munich flight, find our new gate and we ended up nearly running to the gate."
Ulemper: "I, again, didn't like walking down 3 flights of stairs, getting a crowded bus to take us to the plane. We are used to using a jetway to the plane. I realize that European airports are busier than American airports though."
Fordeler: "Although the flight to Frankfurt was delayed for more than an hour they made special arrangements to get on time to the next flight."
Ulemper: "We weren’t able to take this flight because our trip to Salzburg ended up getting canceled! We had to cancel this one"

They used to give little sandwiches, excellent in quality!!! A cookie is good too, but a better one would do a great difference! It was early morning, who would eat a sugary chocolate chip cookie for breakfast? But otherwise, I would fly with Lufthansa again in a heartbeat!!! Thank you!!!!!!"
Ulemper: "Due to the reason that the flight was overbookef LH asked us to drop off our hand luggages as well, however both were approved for the cabine. For this reason I had to buy padlocks. The problem was, that even if we were asked for favor we had to wait for baggage drop off at boarding for one hour."

Fordeler: "On a flight from Oslo to Germany to Charlotte, we only had 55 minutes to connect in Germany. Lufthansa held our plane due to their error in some runway and docking issues and we, as well as 25 other were escorted to our connection by Lufthansa staff. Excellent customer service even though it was their fault. They just did the right thing and did it well."
Ulemper: "I would have expected that there be much more time for gate connections. If you have ever been in the Munich airport, it is very large and navigation takes time.."
Fordeler: "Our flight from Frankfort to Munich was late. Luftansa sent a representative to our flight to make sure we and others from our flight got on to the flight to Charlotte. How awesome! Plane needs more leg room."
Fordeler: "I like the friendly crew. They give refreshments at no charge on a 40 minute flight and get it done in time."

Fordeler: "After so many domestic flights of being shuffled around and interacting with flight attendants that seem to not like their jobs much and passenger's are just an annoyance, flying abroad on Luftansa was quite a different experience! The flight attendants were polished, professional, and actually wanted to provide a service. Their interactions made me feel like I was cared about and that they wanted my unique needs to be met. This made a 10 hour flight an enjoyable experience which I certainly didn't anticipate."

Ulemper: "Inbelievably chaotic boarding process for Kili to Dar leg. No boarding lanes so had to fight through the crowd. Was able to observe cleaning process at Dar stop, which was cursory and am sure there was no cleaning of seats of those who boarded at Kili."

Ulemper: "They check for everything in the counter as if it was a low cost airline. If you go a kilo more over your baggage allowance you have to pay 100 eur. And for your cabin luggage you only have 12 kg that they check you twice and they have security staff at the airport specifically check in this."

Ulemper: "The website I booked on and the Delta phone line on the printed ticket said that I had baggage when it turns out that I did not according to the check in staff and they made me pay."

No hay un teléfono a donde hablar, la web está desactualizada y con información equivocada. Direccionan a usar canales de twitter y facebook que no responden. Primer experiencia en KLM y no pienso nunca más usar esta aerolínea. Llevar el equipaje o resolver un problema sobre valijas es de lo más básico de una aerolínea y no lo hacen."

Ulemper: "I guess i would still consider the flight "international" and therefore should include AT LEAST one free checked bag per person, but not- 44u$d. Now it may be depending upon the fare paid, but on another flight (last week) on SAS AMS-OSL-BOO, It was 80u$d per pax."
Ulemper: "Late departure for that most meaningless of excuses - the late arriving aircraft. And so late arriving at destination. On arrival at Berlin, there was also noone at the gate to allow us to leave the plane. All in all meant missing pickup time at the airport, and extra cost."

Fordeler: "I liked that it was available for me to return to Amsterdam in such late notice. Got there quickly and even earlier (10 mins) then expected."
Ulemper: "No on offered me anything to drink or a snack the entire flight or even a hand towel but others in front and behind me were receiving them. I didnt even feel acknowledged during the flight. Even though the tine was good, the price was way too high but since I was desperate I paid it."
Fordeler: "Flight attendants"
Ulemper: "Hottest I have ever been in a plane (we were in 40G and H) and I “run cold”. We were sweating and drinking water like crazy (they gave us one bottle and did not routinely walk the aisles handing out more). Luckily we brought our own water. Early June and headed to Scandinavia, not someplace hot. Seats were hard and I put my unused blankets under me."
Fordeler: "Boarding was smooth, luggage came out quickly."
Ulemper: "No entertainment, only coffee and tea served."
Fordeler: "Very helpful staff."
Fordeler: "Seats were very comfortable for economy. Crew was pleasant, attentive and efficient. Good seatback entertainment system."
Ulemper: "Once passengers do final passport check and enter secure gate area on this flight to the US, there’s no bathroom available. On the transatlantic flight, no complimentary glass of wine as on other airlines."

Fordeler: "Flight was on time. Boarding was simple and easy. Staff were excellent in handling the boarding process and very prompt in getting people seated/luggage put in to overhead lockers, free tea and coffee was provided which assured that extra comfort, would definitely recommend."
Fordeler: "The seats were very comfortable -- the plane wasn't very full, so there was room to spread out for some folks. As a vegetarian, the lunch meal was EXCELLENT, thank you. There was a second snack given just before landing that was basically roasted peppers on bread that was not good -- so you know, many vegetarians actually have sensitivity against peppers, so perhaps another vegetable or option would be better there. Crew was very affable and helpful."
Ulemper: "See point before re: second snack. Our flight was delayed for two hours, presumably due to snow in Oslo. The boarding area was disorganized -- something I remember from flying through Norway a few years ago as well. I also didn't quite understand why I received priority boarding, as a United gold member on my outbound fight, but not on my return. So the inconsistency was a bit confusing/frustrating. But the flight overall was smooth, and the accommodations quite good."

Ulemper: "I do not like the way they conduct their business from the office never returning phone calls as we are trying to get our questions answered. Would also be nice if the airline would use JFK instead of Liberty in Newark. Thank you."
Fordeler: "All good with SAS. Not good with me. I forgot to ask for a window seat."
Ulemper: "I makes down for food and entertainment but food could be bought and provided entertainment is not necessary for short flights with such good views of beautiful Norway."
Ulemper: "The agent at the gate misled me into thinking there would be no fee associated with a checked bag. When it turned out there was, I was told it was too late."
Fordeler: "Setene er behagelige, og selv i SAS Go er det mulig å legge setene lenger ned enn jeg er vant til hos en del andre flyselskaper i samme seteklasse."
Ulemper: "Det er ikke mulig å bestille spesialmåltid samtidig med billettene, man må ringe. Dette virker unødvendig tungvint, spesielt med tanke på at det var ekstra lang ventetid hos kundeservice i den aktuelle perioden. Heldigvis var det mulig å få hjelp via Facebook, men det er visst ikke vanlig."

Ulemper: "Checkin was a disaster, girl was not aware of anything she was doing and after over ten minutes of explainatiin she still put me and my bags on a wrong flight. Lady at the boarding gate tried to help and finally managed to send me and my bag in the same flight. Even bigger disappointment was that I booked a business class seat and paid three times more money then a normal economy ticket, there wasn't any business class seat and all seats were occupied in the front rows. Staff was generally rude and not willing to help."

Fordeler: "The plane was neat, clean and well maintained. The food was very good. The crew was professional and friendly. Based on my experience this is a top-notch airline."

Ulemper: "No entertainment or any special difference between business and coach except you get a meal. Seats are the same as economy and the bathrooms are shared. Why bother paying extra?"

Fordeler: "Checked in easily with the line moving quickly. Boarding was efficient for a full flight. Left on time and arrived early. Luggage beat me to the carousel. Please give Air Canada lessons!"
Fordeler: "No problems, great crew, easy check in and on time!"
Ulemper: "Discovered that I would have to pay 70 euro for my bag check-in. Not fun at all."

Ulemper: "No one from the flight crew gave us the border card. We waited in the border line only to be told once we reached the front that we needed to leave the line to fill one out. No guest on the Oslo to Edinburgh flight was given one."

Ulemper: "We missed are connecting flight"
Fordeler: "The employee at the checkin counter in Oslo set everything up for us regarding our wheelchair and walker. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. She arranged for a pick up in Helsinki with the airport's crew. They helped us unload the plane and then had a personal accessible bus to take us from where we landed (outside of terminal) to the gate of our next departure. The crew were all extremely professional and efficient."
Ulemper: "The leg room is never enough on the long flights. The flight from Chicago to Helsinki at 10:00pm was not nearly as good as the flights from Oslo to Helsinki to Chicago. The crew was not as pleasant, the lights were not turned off until after 1:00 am and then turned on hours before the light "breakfast" was served."
Ulemper: "Missed connection so didn't get second flight"
Fordeler: "Finnair is great when nothing goes wrong..."
Ulemper: "... but a disaster when things go wrong. Too many pilots "sick" on new year day so our HEL-SIN flight was cancelled. We spent three hours at the airport queueing and only getting a hotel. No alternative flight. We spent an hour waiting on line at their call center (no local numbers, only one Finland number) and got rebooked on a super tight HEL-FRA-LHR-SIN connectiob, which we barely made as the connection times were so short. Plus they messed up the checkin so we got denied boarding in Frankfurt and lost our suitcases. Perfect storm... we will NEVER take this airline again. Totally understaffed and I competent. Fly a major airline and pay a little more to avoid things like this..."
Ulemper: "Plane too small. Avoiding Airbus jets from now on!"
Fordeler: "Everything, but especially the calming atmosphere with beautiful Spanish music playing while we were airing to take off."
Fordeler: "Great service, great food, and comfortable seats."
Fordeler: "I was surprised with an amount of drinks and food provided.Everything was delicious, and we were very hungry so imagine our happy faces. The crew was professional in all ways.Flight was smooth and comfortable-applause for the pilots!"

Ulemper: "I never get that flight."
Ulemper: "No room on flight ran out of wine and food before getting to the back 1/3 of plane where I was sitting I can say one of the worst travel flights I've ever had"
Ulemper: "30 min between flying"
Fordeler: "Good customer service, top notch on all aspects. Very attentive staff.."
Ulemper: "2 hours late to leave but part of wing flap needed to be repaired before flight"
Fordeler: "There was a flight attendant who was perfect for his career-absolutely the best ever on the Rome to Philadelphia flight-a tall, African American gentleman. So accommodating and friendly!"
Fordeler: "Great flight and nice people"
Ulemper: "Because the flight was through british airways, extra baggage was $90 much more expensive than Finnair's prices. After paying that before departure to London I recieved an email from British Airways that stated an extra bag for both my flight to London and return flight to San Francisco had been fully paid for. At the airport I was told by British Airways employees that I would have to pay another $90 regardless of what my email said because their official prices are $90 each way not both. I showed them the confirmation I had recieved and all they could say was "that is confusing". There was very little empathy or attempt to help. As a result I was forced to leave the suitcase behind with my acquaintance in London and do an in airport shuffle of all of my belongings. The flight was great but beware emails that may not match up with online info."
Fordeler: "Food on into fight inedible..No Food on domestic. Charge for everything."
Fordeler: "Pretty quick to get on board, entertainment was great, seat comfort was good., wifi and prices were stupidly over priced and slow.,"
Ulemper: "American Airlines as usual has overly priced non-working wifi on a 10.5 hour trip.. He food was ok at best.."
Ulemper: "I missed my flight from Chicago to Paris. Because I purchased it through Kayak instead of directly through Finnair or American Airlines, their 'hands were tied' and they could not reroute nor reschedule me. Not only that, but because I was not on the flight to Paris, my returning flights were automatically cancelled. While this is probably included in the fine print etc., I find it ridiculous. There should be a better alternative for people who miss their flights than forcing them to pay a lump sum that is higher than the original ticket price in order to reschedule their ticket. Moral of the story: BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU BUY THROUGH KAYAK OR SIMILAR AGENCIES, BECAUSE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ATROCIOUS."
Fordeler: "Called BA (the carrier for our FinnAir flight) when I couldn't check in (didn't have a booking number that worked). Staff member did tell me that all was in order with our booking. He wasn't able to check us in anyway, as something was amiss with 'the system'. In the end all worked out fine, we just made sure to get to the airport early to make sure we got decent seats."
Ulemper: "A bit nerve wracking to see online that our flight information 'could not be found' when trying to check in with the booking numbers I had!"
Fordeler: "Temperature on flight was comfortably cool. Food was delicious and flight attendants were pleasant and attentive. The flight was full but service was prompt. Very enjoyable!"
Ulemper: "The lighting on my screen made it difficult to see it very well...adjusting brightness was not effective. Also, the programming selection was somewhat limited and it would have been nice to start a movie when you wanted instead of waiting."
Fordeler: "The crew was awesome , the food, the capt. Was the best didn't feel take off or landing overall. Except for room in coach I give it a 9 out of 10"
Ulemper: "No room in coach"
Fordeler: "The service was remarkable. Everyone was very attentive and friendly which is exactly what you would want for a long flight. The crew came around frequently to provide beverages and left you alone to sleep."
Ulemper: "The boarding process was a bit hectic. The flight was full which I completely understand. After everyone was settled in the plane it took another 25 minutes to leave the runway."
Ulemper: "A lot of turbulence. Only paid food offerings. From gate took 10-15min bus drive to plane No entertainment"
Ulemper: "When I arrived at CMI no ticket was issued for my second leg, so I could not use the internal transit bus to at Terminal 5 at ORD ("for ticketed passengers only). I had to exit use the external train (which was delayed) and go through the very slow Terminal 5 security. Almost missed my ORD-LHR flight (arrived at the gate after the official closing time)"
Fordeler: "I am not sure why when i bought my ticket on kayak just fly was the company I had to deal with. They are extortionist. They should be deleted from your website."
Ulemper: "Tried to change my flight, line got disconnected, when I called back the fees went from 500 to 1100 - they couldn't justify why. I will never use kayak again if these kind of people is who I have to deal with coupled with awful customer service they hung up on me three times."
Fordeler: "Great crew. Lots of refreshments."
Fordeler: "Food was better than flight to London. Boarding went well."
Ulemper: "Plane left almost an hour late with no explanation given. For huge plane, still cramped unless you pay loads for more room. Upgrade prices outlandish!!!"
Fordeler: "The plane left an hour late .... but ... in the middle of a snow storm which in normal situations would have lead to the cancellation of the flight. So ... something which normally would be a major negative view is now actually a positive comment."
Ulemper: "Most of the entertainment consoles did not work"
