The location was excellent- close to shopping on the Ledt Bank and also convenient to the Louvre, D'Orsey, and transportation around the city. Also, the staff was very helpful, assisting us obtaining dinner reservations and in helping us with language issues, etc..
Great location, slightly older hotel but in great condition, very clean. I enjoyed the old photos in the hallways although I felt the decor in my room was lacking. The hairdryer in the bathroom was awesome, very powerful! I didn't like that I had to buy an adapter - I came from a hotel in Munich that allowed guests to rent.
Fantastic location. Right next to a main subway stop that made it perfect for infra-city travel. Staff was warm, welcoming, and accommodating. Highly recommend Some road noise from the city streets while sleeping. Although I think this is overall hard to avoid in downtown Paris. It certainly should not hinder you from selecting this hotel
Concierge service was very good, reasonably quiet, bed comfortable, bar was nice, bath was clean room was very small, location just ok, very expensive (breakfast 27 euro, or about $40 each) bar drinks expensive, room very expensive for the size and quality
Location, service Breakfast ok but not great eg bread average, pastries mediocre
A luxe hotel with a friendly staff. We had a tidy deluxe-room with a balcony and a clean bathroom; there was a various, tastefull breakfast and the hotel has a nice and comfortable bar, lounge- and tearoom. Next to our room there was a compressor/aircondition machine which gave a noisy sound during the night. The air in the room was musty(although the room was very clean).
Room (Junior Suite) was well appointed and comfortable, with an impressive view of Paris from the balcony.
Staff was courteous, rooms were clean, location was great, restaurant/ bar in lobby great. I didn't like that I had to buy an adapter. Most hotels lend them and have it in the rooms. I'm staying in London now and there is an adapter for free. I didn't like that there was a charge for hi speed internet. Low speed was free but u had to pay for high speed, seems silly.
The hotel is marvelous...great location on the Left Bank, close to Musee Orsey. The restaurant attached to the hotel, L'Atelier is world class and a must visit! We will return to this property the next time we are in Paris no
The staff were all fabulously helpful.
This is a modern, clean, comfortable hotel in a prime location in St. Germain, near the Musee d'Orsay, an upscale area with good restaurants nearby . It is not a particularly tourist-oriented neighborhood and many shops were closed for August vacation. However a Metro stop one block from the hotel provides convenient access to other arrondisements and neighborhoods. The concierge desk was most helpful in making restaurant reservations, arranging a taxi to the airport, and answering questions. The room, though fairly small (this is Paris!), was comfortable and had many convenience features.
the bed was so comfortable and the room was very nice. No enough space for the luggage or in room dinning.
Excellent location, original design Design is grate but decoration sometimes made sloppy (carpet in elevator, doorknobs in wrong places, etc.)
hotel boutique, attaccato al musee d'orsay, camere accoglienti design.
the location and room decor the room was extremely small, even for european standards and the plumbing was not working consistantly.
exelent location, beautiful rooms, uniqe desine, good breakfast and good and attentive service rooms a little small, but quite comptable any way.
Excellent location and friendly staff. Interesting design (Lacroix) of the hotel tho feels bit as if done 'too quickly'.. Too expensive breakfast (20 eur per person) in comparison for its quality. No parking if having a car.
Great location, design, confortable and quiet rooms. Free WIFI.
The hotel is one block away from Museum D' Osay. The room has very nice design features, with continous painting wall and ceiling, giving a sense of historical, cultral and philosophical layer of the boutique comfort.
central position Room too small and very expensive.
staff very helpful and accommodating. great location and walking proximity to interesting areas and metro. modern, clean, stylish hotel room. I would like to see a magnifying makup mirror and better lighting in the bathrooms. I note that many hotels do not provide this and it should be standard installation.
Although Duc de Saint Simon does not have exercise facilities or spa treatments, we felt pampered the entire visit. Our room was cleaned and refreshed perfectly every day with luxury linens and the bed turned down at night. The staff was extraordinary - friendly and accommodating - fluent in English and willing to provide any service requested promptly. This was an excellent location for catching the metro trains, but many museums were just a short 10 minute stroll away. We always felt safe in this neighborhood. Truly a wonderful experience!
Its chic and luxurious, in a fabulous St. Germain location, with first-rate service and amenities This was not an issue for us but if you book in warm weather, make sure that your room has AC
interiors are charming and full of character, great atmosphere and personal touch, with extremely helpful staff. Reception area is very cramped and awkward for processing arrivals and departures, always with luggage inconveniently stacked awaiting rooms to be ready, or taxis to arrive
staff and location Hotel was being renovated and we were not advised of this. It was noisy, scaffolding was intrusive, and debris in hallway.
This is my favorite hotel in Paris. It is very well located, it is small and has a wonderful atmosphere. Interior decoration is done in exceptional good taste, the service including room service is impeccable. Parking is a problem, but that is common in Paris. The rooms are not cheap, but worth every Euro.
This is a very attractive simple French Hotel in a great quiet location. They look after you very well. OneSwedish guest, who was a frequent visitor, said it was the nicest hotel in Paris. nothing
Location. Charm. Staff. Size of some rooms
We had 3 rooms and they were able to put us all on the first floor with a door that closed off the 3 rooms. We didn't have to move our luggage upstairs which was great. The downstairs bar was a fun meeting place for our group. People seemed to have a lot of problems getting the wifi. Each day we had to get a new code and only one device could be assigned to that passcode. The furnishings are very elaborate and traditional. I expected something more modern.
LOcation and bar/launge downstairs very cosy and stylish Breakfast was non-exististent even for additional money, only tea/coffee and bread. This was very dissapointing considering we paid extra for terrace specifically to have breakfast outside. Noone picked up reception phone in the evening. No minibar inside the room.
leaving. We were so warm - and thirsty - it made us dread returning to our rooms. OK, yes, it was a very good base for walking to several of the museums we wanted to attend. It was pretty but not the look you want when you are hot and know you're going to continue to be hot. lack of air conditioning and a mini-fridge at that price level pretty disgraceful.staff nice enough but not adorable as at the Hotel Colbert, and I personally found the area neither beautiful nor interesting. Hard to find somewhere to eat, e.g. Could have used more guidance from desk when we asked - "a cafe on the corner" not much help when we found it not appealing. Oh, and a biggie:the toilet didn't flush at least 3 times, and then a few hours later it did (and it was not anything I did)
Excellant Location for Paris sightseeing, walk to most sites easily, very safe. Staff makes you feel pampered and the night staff is very helpful with local spots to dine, hear music, etc. Rooms are charming and very clean. Great especially for women traveling alone as they look out for you with special care and advice. Breakfast is pricey and I had been told was included. When I arrived, they said no, it is not. I asked if they would charge for breakfast if I just had coffee, I was told no, go ahead and have coffee. They then charged 4 Euros for each coffee, which adds up. This should have been clearly stated upfront when charges apply. Some may find rooms too small.
convenient location; pleasant, attentive staff also with making booking and in breakfast room; pick up and delivery service to airport/trainstation; english papers and ambience of lobby/sitting room. breakfast is good value for money, while the hotel is a bit expensive for what you get the rooms are very small and not able to handle space for 2 suitcases, but we knew that from 4 years ago and we still came back for 3 nights. don't know if we could stay for a week, too cramped. room 103 was better than the room we had 4 years ago
Room was reasonable size for Paris and had individual charm with wooden ceiling beams and luxurious fabrics/bedding. Well stocked mini bar and good choice of snacks at a supplement. Bathroom small but had everything we needed and nice to have bathrobes. We used hotel's transport from Paris Nord station but would not recommend, as we realised on return journey it was double price of a normal taxi! Hotel recommended a restaurant - was ok but served very dull traditional French food. Did not get to meet Joseph the actual concierge so don't know if he is as helpful as other guests say.
Superb service. Characterful/authentic/French. Great area of Paris. Quiet. Excellent breakfast. No
Good location. rooms small like many Paris hotels. Staff helpful no complaints.
Staff, location, and charm....the hotel was lovely, beds were clean and comfortable, rooms were small, but fine. Everyone was so helpful and kind. It was so nice to have free computer access. Didn't like having children staying there as it made it very noisy above our heads. Loved open windows, yet feel the warm weather would be uncomfortable without air conditioning.
Small, intimate hotel in an excellent location. The building is old and full of quirks and character. The rooms are very updated and comfortable. The staff was excellent. Regardless of who you spoke with, they were all friendly, helpful and informative.
lovely atmosphere and helpful staff rooms are very small and the hotel does feel slightly worn but it is charming
ATmostpheric, very romantic and on a quiet street in the heart of the St Germaine de Pres. I will return....
convienent, very helpful staff, very comfortable
I have stayed at the Vultair most years for the pst 20+ years, and it is like "going home". The staff have always made me feel comfortable and welcome! I liked everything!
nice location, in front of the Louvres no tv for a 2-stars hotel...
the location was wonderful and convenient . we were move to a different room because we had 2 children that we did not include in our reservation . however the room we were moved to had the same amount of space and bedding but had no view of the Louve like we originally planned for . So the move was pointless and a lil disappointing.
we were lucky enough to get a room with a balcony overlooking the Seine. the view was nothing short of spectacular
central location was great lack of parking. 2 nights cost me 62 Euros per car. Elevator was so small, you could hardly get one person and their bag in it. Stair case was spiral and also very small to take bags up.
Terrace for breakfast
The location of the Hotel and the services. The rooms need maintenance.
The outside door handle kills your hand !
The hotel is situated in a fashionable area with many restaurants and shops on its doorstep. The accommodation is cramped. The bathroom was a tight squeeze and the fixtures and fittings are worn and tired.
Pleasant staff. Very clean hotel. Location superb. Quiet room. Elevator access etc. The night receptionist did not know whether the hotel took traveller's cheques.
convenience ie within walking distance of many museums and the Rive Gauche, also many cafes and restaurants of the Bvd St Germain
hotel is the center of the city and close to the conferens pan in the levator was broken. mirrow was broken.
The location was excellent and the staff friendly and very helpful. Rooms basic but fine, decoration could be improved and small lift could cause problems if we had more than one case! Breakfast a tad expensive, we found we could do it a lot cheaper elsewhere. No dinner option but the location meant this wasn't a problem as there were many good establishments near by.
Location excellent, across the street from Metro, within walking distance of extensive restaurant and nightlife area. Bedrooms clean, but a bit spartan for a three star hotel.
extra cot was in the room as well as an extra towel while there was a kettle and cups, there was no coffee or tea. breakfast was €10 each extra (including charges for two small children) and all you get is a croissant and filter coffee.
Our room was perfect for our week in Paris: comfortable, good bed, window on the street which was very quiet at night. The bathroom is bright, spotless, new hardware, and had plentiful hot water. The location was super: minutes from Orsay and the Louvre. Breakfast was good too. I will choose the hotel when I return to Paris. No complaints.
Perfect location in Paris and good conection; free wrls internet; Poor breakfast; small cels;
I just enjoy the silence, the good looking rooms, the room cleaning. The hotel is 5 minutes from the subway so I could visit many thing without much of an effort. Ceck your bill, it might be overcharged with services wich you only asked about and don t used.
Room was very shabby;missing curtain, bathplug did not work decor old and poor.toilet flush stuck when pulled, mildew and dirt above bath.Did not seem very clean and I saw chambermaid using computer for personal use instead of cleaning .Hotel smelled damp and decayed.
The hotel has an excellent position, near Louvre and Orsay. Impresionist paintings reproductions are present in each room and the atmosphere is cosy and quiet. The breakfast is really poor - no eggs, meat or vegetables whatsoever. The employees were constantly stressed by a nevrotic owner. The hotel pictures are far from the reality - at least we could not feel the advertised Paris charm.
Perfect location Pathetic breakfast, especially when you stay there for 6 days.
Excellent location and hotel staff. There was no daylight in our extremely small room!
When we checked in, we asked the hotel staff to book us a shuttle to the airport for the next day. We arrived back that evening to discover the front desk person had not done this, and it was too late to do so, thus we were forced to use a taxi at significant cost. The attitude of the staff was appalling regarding this - no apology, no assistance offered. I would not stay there again.
