I was pleasantly surprised that such comfortable and business-friendly property at the heart of Paris existed. Aside from the rate, I think the hotel was excellent in all aspects for a person travelling on business who has a little spare time for some leisure. As I stated, I thought the rate was a bit on the high side given it's location.
Not bad, quite expensive, especially when you factor in that you have to pay €21 extra per day per computer (we're two people with two laptops) for internet, plus quite a bit more for taxes and breakfast and parking. Ultimately our €475 room came to about €750 per night with all the extras. Room service food is outrageously expensive - €36 for breakfast - plus tax, gratuity, room service fee, all comes to about €55 and that's if you don't tip the guys either. And, watch the bill, they have habit of charging for extra items that should be included in your breakfast set. The staff were mostly efficient but cold or indifferent and the maid's service was either dumb or lazy or both. They'd always miss things or forget to clean our room or leave the breakfast tray in the room while cleaning everything else. I guess that's room service's job, not theirs?

Hotellet er et FLOTT hotell med fantastisk beliggenhet midt på Champs-Elysèes. Flotte rom med høy standard! Bor her gjerne igjen :) Vi opplevde flere ganger at resepsjonistene stod å kranglet åpenlyst. Ingen god opplevelse for gjestene, og virker svært uprofesjonellt.
Vi var 2 venninner på tur med hver vår tenåringsjente. Helt topp å bo så sentralt, og det føltes trygt å sende jentene på shopping alene ( i butikkene rett utforbi ) Vi stelte egen frokost, og det var grei matbutikk rett rundt hjørne. Likte også å bo i leilighet m. soverom i stedet for 2 hotellrom. Det sosiale oss 4 imellom ble helt annerledes. Kan virkelig anbefales.

Nice room, comfy lobby, good location in tourist district. Very easy to access museums and beautiful old town Paris. Spa very small, concierge gave lousy restaurant recommendation (tourist trap). Great place to stay, wander outside district for food and more authentic Paris experience.
The best of staying at the Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg was the location, courteous service, the size and the quietness of the room. Although it was very charming, our two floor suite, it was difficult for us to tote our luggage and packages on the semi spiral staircase. The neighborhood was not very convenient in terms of neighborhood bakery, restaurants, pharmacies, or convenience stores. The hotel computer room was a sauna closet and with the prices we paid, free internet should be available hotel-wide.

Proximity to Cahmps Elysees Avenue. Good service and cleanliness. Small rooms and less options; e.g. they couldn't provide us with connecting rooms although the booking was done 6 weeks in advance and the above was mentioned during the booking and confirmed later over the phone with the hotel directly.
The bed, super comfortable. 1. Bed is queen size bed, not as advertised king size, but as we had a 3 years old son, they provided a separate bed for free. 2. There was a redecoration work going on while we stayed, it was so noisy and really they didn't respect that people want quietness when they go to hotels.
The location is just fantastic - the hotel is located in 2 minutes walk from the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees, with nice shops and restaurants all around! Hotel staff is nice. Breakfast was very nice with a good variety, a bit expensive though (31 euros per person, free for kids). Free internet in room (luxury room). Variety of tv channels was very poor.

Severly understaffed and any service requested takes quite a while. Rooms were not cleaned on on time, until we requested specifically to clean them in the evening. Turndown service was done on 1 day of 4. Used glasses from the minibar were not replaced for 3 days. Waited 1 hour for check-in after arriving at 4pm on a Friday. etc.

The Sofitel Hotel is well located and within walking distance of the Champ Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe as well as the Charles De Gaulle Metro. This allows for good connectivitey. There are also some good inexpensive eateries nearby. We mentioned that we were coming on the Honeymoon in our notes but we were treated as if I was the Sole occupier of the room. The Honeymoon touch was missing a bit especially since we read about another review who were treated specially for theri honeymoon.

It was a great location,people were very polite..Would go back again On Saturday I rented a car for 4 hours and had a personal tour of Paris in a Mercedes Benz..Cost $370.00 Euros..Great!!!!On Tuesday I booked car to take me to the airport but did not ask the price as I trusted the people to be fair...When I checked out of the hotel they put the charge on my invoice 320.00 Euros for a 35 minute ride to the airport..I guess they didn't think I would notice..After haggling they lowered the price to 277.00 Euros which was still way too high..Be aware that as they were very nice if you let your guard down for a second these people will grab every pennie they can from your wallet!!!!!!
Seasonal decorations are amazing in the lobby. There is a grand Christmas tree that is very welcoming and adds a cozy atmosphere. Location is great as well. Being walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe and 20 mins walk to the Eiffel was great. Also, there is the FDR metro line 1 steps from the hotel. This is an added bonus as the metro line is a great way to navigate the city. Champs Elysees was beautiful during Christmas time. The entire avenue was lit up with Christmas lights. The staff was attentive for the most part. They provided outlet converters, and a lint brush for my wool jacket. The breakfast though expensive was delicious. Marriott has an american feel to their menu which is a plus. The check in was surprising lacking. We waited 4 hours at the hotel to check in after flying 20+ hours. It was a dismal experience that I would like to forget. Upon entering the room I was further disappointed with the design, size and view for the money i spent - $500+ per night. The decor didn't feel parisian at all (Although a subjective statement, I have other hotels in paris to compare the marriott too) It isn't that the bed wasn't comfortable, or that the bathroom wasn't great -it was. It had a large tub and bath salts, but i could have received those benefits with their basic room. The skyline view was a joke! It was a view of the vents and smoke billowing off the roofs of the next door neighbor hotels and there was nothing worth noting from our vantage point. My recommendation is that either you go all out and book the champs elysees view (street view) or book the cheapest room they have. I regret booking my room and wish I could have spent the money elsewhere.

location room cleanliness and set_up
The location is very good. Unfortunately there are a lot of management issues there. The front desk, the concierge and the stuff of the lobby bar are nothing to do with the efficiency expected from a five stars hotel stuff.

Service at check in and the restaurant was good. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was very convenient. I made the mistake of leaving a large amount of cash in my backpack and found over €1000 was missing when I came back in the evening, and the room hadn't even been fully cleaned. At least they were nice enough to leave some of my cash (probably with the hope I wouldn't count it and notice), but didn't bother to re-pack my bag which led me to be suspicious. I've been traveling for 20 years and stayed in 100s of hotels (both luxury and low cost) and never had anything taken, so was very disappointed to have it happen for the first time here. When I notified the front desk they laughed and pointed out that they're not responsible for valuables left in the room and that I should have known better. In their favor, the general manager did respond to my email apologizing and said he will look into it. I will not be staying in San Regis ever again.
Hotel Plaza Athenee (HPA) is the definition of superlative luxury. As an American in Paris, to be welcomed into The HPA is, in a profound sense, to be welcomed into the heart of France . . . into Parisian luxury. I must, in truth, admit that I am a person of exacting standards (my professional life requires such standards). Thus, for me to state highly complimentary remarks about a hotel amounts to deeply resonant truth. And too, I am deeply aware that the world contains people who have great means and those who have little or no means. Given this as background, my fervent wish is that all persons could experience the luxurious delight of The Hotel Plaza Athenee.

This is a very nice hotel at a distinctive location location in Paris. The staff are so helpful, I was helped by a professional concierge team who spoke excellent English and know Paris attractions very well. The staff was polite, food was good, and the facilities are all clean and up to date.

We had a wonderful, six-day, Parisian experience at the Hotel de Sers, located in the elegant Champs Elysees district and very close to the metro and upscale restaurants. The staff was consistently helpful and accommodating in their efforts to obtain tickets, give restaurant recommendations, make reservations, call taxis, provide maps and directions, serve in the restaurant, etc. Upon arrival, we were allowed to check in early. This was much appreciated after many hours of overnight travel. Accolades for Fernanda at the reception desk as well as the concierge (I can not remember his name!) for providing outstanding service in a cordial, welcoming atmosphere. Our room was not spacious, however, comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean. Would recommend taking advantage of a room rate that includes at least a continental breakfast, as the breakfasts are very costly.

The location was very good. It was definitely not a luxury hotel. Room was directly over the hotel courtyard that had been converted to a banquet facility and was extremely noisy. Fitness center had only one treadmill and one piece of equipment. Beds and pillows were not very comfortable.
