Very clean friendly helpful staff good value Not enough resturaunt bar staff
Jeff helped us check in and he definetly set the tone. He was very welcoming, suggested some places to see in Chicago, and upgraded our room for our anniversary. The best customer service we have experienced in a while. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The view was amazing and it was close to a bus route. An anniversary to remember. Thanks Hyatt.
Quick, safe walk to Soldier Field at night with kids. Coffee pot in closet, didn't find it until we were leaving.
clean,close,pleasant staff you need- 2 x bars, 2 x rest, 2 x taxis
Beautiful shower. Clean room. Nice view. Shower head could stand to be farther out from the wall. Didnt like the fact that you had to use your room key for the elevator after 11 a.m. We al missed reading the sign and thought that 2 elevators were broken. I would change it so that the sign is in red or that the elevator door doesnt even open without a room key.
Loved everything about this hotel Nothing to dislike
Absolutely unacceptable and unsanitarity that the beds not have Duvet cover!
Our room had an excellent view, guest services was extremely helpful any time we needed anything, even with the most minor of things. The hotel is within walking distance of the magnificent mile, Millenium park, Shedd aquarium, and the Field museum. The Lincoln Park zoo is only 5 miles away, so this hotel is in the perfect location. We really enjoyed the view that we had from our room, being on the upper floors lets you look over all of Chicago. The only complaint I would have wold be the cleaning of the room. We found a bottle cap just sitting on the floor near one of the chairs, and I know it wasn't ours because we are not of age to drink. The other problem was the bathroom floor. When I stepped out of the shower I stepped on the tile and there was some sticky substance all over the floor by the sink.
We arrived early on our flight and the staff had no problem checking us in way before the regular time. Very accommodating and incredibly friendly staff. Facility was clean and well maintained. We plan on staying again next time we are in Chicago
Good hotel from a dependable chain, with convenient deli and ATM inside, direct access to the convention center next door, generally helpful staff. My room was not stylish but it was spotless, comfortable and larger than I expected. Location was fine, easy to get a taxi. I did not try the restaurants or deal with parking. The hot water in my room was not dependable. The lobby of the hotel had an overpowering strong cologne smell - it was like they were going for a 'signature scent' of 'too much Axe.'
the staff and the room was very nice.. Having to pay to park and the restaurants were $$$$..
Comfortable rooms Nice facilities Staff was not very helpful or nice Expensive Bad location Far from town
our waffle breakfast was amazing. the room had a lovely view of the back garden and nice big windows that opened for fresh air. I used the jacuzzi 3 x for muscle relief from my conference. the breakfast the 1st day wasn't too good. Plain flat tasting scrambled eggs w/burnt bacon and (instant?) decaf. The next breakfast made up for it tho... The Mansion needs some maintenance upkeep. The window shade was broken, the air was warm in the room and too cool in the bathroom. There was no individual control. All else was good.
The location was pretty good. The staff is terrible. They treat you as if they do not want the business. They are rude fromthe beginning. They lecture their customers. They actually make threats. I've never seen anything like it.
Interesting house, nice room, very helpful staff.
the historic building, internally excellent but externally in great need of repair. sevice none existent. offered wrong grade of room, change room still not of correct grade. no bath, shower did not work, no pressure. No towels for 2 hours on arrival, only 1 bath robe. No staff in premises after 7pm at night, emergancy night number for service not answered. 1hr for breakfast, no choice only 1 item. We were the only people in the hotel on the first night. 2 inexperenced staff
