Stort sett det aller meste, det beste var beliggenheten og service. Rommet og badet kunne med fordel vært litt større. Ellers ingenting.
alltid rent, kjempe beliggenhet i forhold til shopping, mat osv. hyggeligere personale i resepsjonen.
Central - on the Magnificent Mile
This is a Kayak review- not a hotel review. I booked my travel a week in advance and with 2 days notice I received a call that I no longer had a reservation and there was nothing that could be done. It left me scrambling to find a room and I had to pay 40% more than expected because I never really had a reservation. Will never use Kayak again.
Really wonderful employees that made us feel welcomed and comfortable. They were very accommodating and polite.
Great location and value...staff was fantastic, reacted to every need we had with a positive attitude and were very timely. nothing...we don't spend a lot of time in a hotel when we travel...met our needs perfectly
Hotel was clean and staff was exceptionally friendly. Doorman was extremely helpful. Donut shop downstairs was delicious and convenient. The location was decent if you're willing to walk about a mile to anything you'd like to see. Room was a little small and elevator was extremely small preventing us from getting our stroller in if anyone else was in the elevator.
Can't say a thing. I travel quite a bit every year and stay in dozens of hotels. I must say this was the worst experience at a hotel I have ever had. I would never suggest this place to anyone.
Great location with a nice hotel design. The drum bar and the bakery were nice perks. Its an older building and that is very obvious. The AC is questionable, the elevators are small and take quite a while, and if you want normal pillows you need to request them.
Elevator was an issue. Very small for the size hotel.
Great location just off the Magnificent Mile easy to get to just with everything you might need to downtown. When was nice but needed a few small maintenance items repaired other than that it was a great place to stay.
Very nice updates to room and bathroom. Comfortable bedding, drumBAR on the 18th floor, and great location. Room was extremely hot and the temp could not be adjusted. The room was also very small but worked for our 1 night stay.
The location is excellent for whatever activity of interest in downtown Chicago. Attentive and courtesy staff
Very clean. Microwave and fridge nice to have. Close to shopping and navy pier Self park was really valet parking down the street.
Great location, great value for the price. Staff need to stop acting so high fallutin. Yes it is the Sofitel, but you still work for me.
Great location a few steps from the best shopping and restaurants in Chicago. Very friendly and professional staff.
The rooms were nice, but our room had not been properly cleaned. There was an empty wine bottle in the trash, a stain on the carpet, and dirt on the bedspread. The location is great for exploring the city. A block from Michigan Ave, the beach, and Rush street. The customer service was not good. We waited 30-45 minutes for our bags to be brought up to our room and finally had to go down to get them. There were two bellmen standing in the lobby doing nothing and our luggage was just sitting there. As mentioned the room was not properly cleaned which is never a good feeling when you are staying in a hotel. I requested a late check-out and was immediately told "No due to someone else staying in our room and they needed to clean it". He then asked what room we were staying in. He again said it wasn't possible as someone was staying in that room and they would need to clean it. When we checked out I forgot a brand new shirt I bought while staying there. I rarely hang things in the closet and had done so since it was a new shirt. I realized this the next day and called and again was given horrible customer service. They told me it was not in the room and that nobody stayed in that room the night before so they couldn't help me. Obviously, the maid who cleaned that room took it, but they accepted no responsibility for that. Not to mention they couldn't give us a late check-out due to another guest needing the room. It's a shame the customer service was so bad because it is a nice hotel in a great area of the city.
we were traveling with our toddler. the hotel crib came with complimentary johnson & johnson toiletries and a stuffed bear. the room was clean, comfortable and spacious enough to be tolerable with a toddler in the same room. the bathroom was spacious, in excellent condition and well-appointed. we were on a high floor and had a great view of the city. it would've been great to have iPhone charging docks/stations. we forgot to bring one charger.
Great location, beautiful room and good staff. Except for my wife losing her nose ring and no thin sheets were available; our stay was outstanding.
beautiful hotel bed was too soft
The French ambiance. A bit expensive.
Rooms too small
Great spot. Conveniently located. Pleased overall with the property.
Large rooms and bathrooms. Plenty of fast elevators. Great location for the north end of the Magnificent Mile. More attention to detail could be provided to the cleanliness of the shower area. Several areas of black mildew in the grout of the shower wall.
I would have preferred a discount on the Parking for staying in the hotel.
It was an elegant, comfortable weekend at one of the best hotels anywhere. Nothing
I took my 5 year old to see Chicago. I love the quiet of the hotel. The staff was great. You get what you pay for.
I liked the location of the hotel, and also enjoyed the updated decor of the hotel. The bedding was excellent! Very important to me.... it was clean and luxurious. The bath rooms also were in excellent condition. It did meet my standards. (Extremely picky) I did not like that we had to go to the 12th floor to get to reception.
Fabulous service, fabulous food, fabulous room. I can't recommed this hotel highly enough!!
Beautiful hotel, very enjoyable. Neither Booking com nor the hotel warned us that a change in the reservation, leaving a night earlier, would result in an increase in the quoted daily rate. We were only told that cancellation was required 24 hours in advance without penalty.
EVERYTHING, THE SERVICE WAS THE BEST AND THE BATHROOMS LARGE AND BEAUTIFULLY DONE. NICE TOUCHES EVERYWHERE! NOTHING
Beautiful room. Inpecable service
Great location across from Saks and neiman marcus. Hotel gorgeous, bright, elegant in public areas, very comfortable and luxurious room and bathroom
I've stayed at several nice hotels in Chicago and this is by far my favorite. Very comfortable, tastefully decorated, incredible A-V/home automation controls. This was the perfect home-base for a multi-day business trip. The atrium also had a splendid Sunday brunch with string quartet. Couldn't be better
I would guess that most people who gave this place a positive review have never stayed at trump. For the same price trump offers a vastly better experience and much more comfort. The gym and spa at trump make this place look like a spa from rural Cambodia. Rooms were an ever so slightly better version of the Conrad. No pillow menu. No glacier water. No espresso machine in room. No microwave or stovetop with dishwasher( all present at trump). And no cake with gold leaf on it for my birthday!!!
Really enjoyed how friendly everyone was towards us especially since we were a young couple there and the staff told us good morning and everything each day and always had a smile on their face I can't really say I didn't like anything about the hotel or service. The only thing was it was a little expensive for us. Other than that everything was excellent
when I make check out from the hotel they told me i have to pay more than what booking website show me,after desscution they agree to refund 110 $ to me.
Very good location.
Great restaurant recommendation and service!
Very good welcome and staff performance An elevator alarm went off in the middle of the night and it took over one hour to fix it - not conducive to comfortable sleep.
The bed is gorgeusly confortable Many problems with shower, room cleaning, front desk attendece, etc.
Comfortable, elegant, convenient excellent accomodations. Food very good but somewhat overpriced. The hotel tower is very tall and our initial room on the 40th floor was very noisy in the wind and rain storm. The swaying was not noticable but the sound of creaking wall and ductwork was uncomfatably loud. The staff did move us to a lower floor to a large apartment suit which was very quiet.
Hotel has great location, very nice accomodations. There was broken glass in the bar and I cut my finger pretty badly on our first night at the hotel. Although hotel staff was very nice and they did call security, I thought they could have done more in way of compensation. In hindsight, I probably needed stitches and other than call to my room by the manager (who had already left by the time we got back to the room), they really didn't even follow-up.
Location/spa and swimming pool None
Location! And they left a small treat for my child every afternoon.
They had absolutely no trace of our reservation on arrival, but after some spirited discussion more than made good the upheaval.
One of best five star hotels I've ever stayed at in Chicago. Amazing cust service, comfortable beds, huge room and bathroom No view in the room
Staff concierge where excellent Rooms noisy Parking fee No coffee in room
Location was great! The rooms are comfortable and bathrooms are very nice
This is one of us experience I've ever had at a hotel they double booked my room charging your upgrade fee without telling me and cancel my birthday.
Hotel was quiet, we were able to check in early (which we didn't anticipate), and it was a fantastic location to the Mag Mile.
The bathroom and location
Beautiful hotel, friendly professional staff. Was asked if we'd like to upgrade for a small fee and was pleasantly surprised with a corner room with an excellent view of Chicago. Expensive valet parking. Probably not the hotels fault. Seems to be a Chicago problem. Although expensive, it was very quick and simple so we chose to pay the price.
Location, friendly staff, and having NoMi on property
It was in the heart of where we wanted to be. Beautiful hotel and the staff was great and very accommodating.
First room was just under a ballroom (noisy). Second room was also noisy from HVAC. Staff was not helpful; opted to leave hotel mid-stay. Terrible.
Very modern and classy.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Excellent ...one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. Professional staff. When coming to Chicago it will be the only Hotel I will stay at.
Beautiful. Comfortable, luxurious. Staff assistance was hit or miss. Very frustrating. Some staff was very helpful. Others were not to the point of carelessness or rudeness. At this hotel I had expected service to be exquisite. It was not. For the price there's other hotels with better service who value their customers more highly.
Staff were tremendous Hotel needs updating. It is old, worn and dirty
An architectural gem in downtown Chicago with old look but kept updated with modern amenities. It shows it's age sometimes but that is the charm of it. Just know that there is no lounge access for Hilton Gold members which is strange for a property with a lounge.
Great location and afternoon tea was amazing.
Location was great. Booked and paid for a King bed -- received a double bed. Hotel offered $40 off dinner at their in-house restaurant. Could not offer any other room accommodations - nothing with a view, not a bigger room, and not what I ordered and paid for -- a room with a King size bed. Slept uncomfortably most of the night. Separately, went to breakfast in the hotel and the windows were very dirty.
Room was clean. No recreational stuff no pool no sauna nothing it was boring.
Whinin walking distance to downtown shopping and attractions and great restaurants, walked to Chicsgo Art Institute to take in Van Gough exhibit. Parking too expensive
We loved the location and the welcoming and helpful staff. The atmosphere is elegant. For a small extra cost, we opted for the Executive Room with access throughout the day for a light breakfast, snacks during the day, and hors doerves during cocktail hour. It's view is spectacular and all but the tables which are too small, we enjoyed immensely and visited often during our stay. WiFi in your room is an extra cost and not included in the price of your room.
not much Room was 'nasty' for a 4 star hotel. -broken soap dish on the floor -faucet handle was not fastened and fell. -really dirty carpet -old building. poorly renovated. bad paint job in the hallways.
The Drake is a Chicago classic. A bit old, but very luxuries and very, very beautiful. The excellent location and nice staff delivering outstanding service make the Drake the place to be. A bit dated, and almost impossible to roll your own luggage. Unlike most hotels with marble floors, The Drake has the thickest carpet imaginable. Also, the rooms are small for the US (and the money) and you will pay a lot for a view. However, this is the oldest and most desirable location that The Drake sets the standards for all of the other Chicago luxury hotels.
location 65.00 a day to park car didn't know where to go for breakfast?? not alot of water pressure for shower
Location and old world elegance Several elevators broken, tea room not kept up-my chair had a big hole in it. Chairs looked dilapidated, carpet worn, menu insert pages barely legible (bad photo copies). Most pages had faded writing in 3 of the four menus. Also-3 menus did not include alcoholic beverages
Really enjoyed the stay here, very comfortable and a great location for the price. I needed to make a last minute update to stay a few more nights as my travel was cancelled due to weather. The employees were extremely helpful in letting me keep the same room and at the same rate. Stayed on the same floor as the pool, so some noisy kids were expected
Concierge, door men excellent. Paying for with fi? Really...at these prices? Terrible. $10.00 to use 15 min. Had no idea. Showed up on statement. Housekeeping fine first night but 2nd night left our duvets on floor and when we called to report they actually asked what we would like them to do about it. After telling them we wanted some new duvets a maid came and complied. Next day we returned to find all of our pillows with shams gone...not a functional problem since we still had pillows to sleep on but since they are part of the decor we weren't sure what that was all about. They were on the bed when we left that morning. Overall the room was quiet but I think we could do better next time. Hotel being renovated so maybe the reno rooms will blow you away...ours did not. Other than housekeeping staff the rest of staff was helpful but could have been more accommodating when we missed a night of our reservation due to being snowed in at airport in philly and unable to get there. If they couldn't refund a night of our pre paid room we thought we might have recd a complimentary night in future. They told us to ask price line about that but price line pushed it back to them...
I have been a Marriott guy for some time and had the opportunity to stay at an Omni Hotel in Dallas and decided to give it another try in Chicago because my Dallas experience was so good. They are a true class act! Nothing!
Location is great. Staff helpful.
Location, personnel, accommodations. Welcoming and relaxing.
Beautiful hotel, great location. Very pleased with our stay. And very close to the red line.
My husband and I recently stayed at the Omni with are 1 year old twins. The staff was more than accommodating. Everything from gift bags for the girls to bringing up a microwave and refrigerator. We will be back!
Spacious room. For the location near Northwestern Med school, it was wonderfully quiet .Staff very accommodating. Good coffee. Available computer/printer. The halls to the rooms were dim and old-looking, even though clean & well kept. It made the nicely-appointed rooms a big surprise! The door to my room stuck--annoying to my neighbors, rather than to me.
Off Michigan Avenue location was perfect - quiet, elegant neighborhood yet close to taxis, bus, shopping , Lake Michigan - even a small grocery store - at a great price. Front desk staff were good to great and always pleasant. Facilities were a bit tired, somewhat awkward. Small, slow elevator, slow WiFi, odd room layout, took away from a stellar review.
Location, location, location. By far the best value for the location. The amenities including a full-sized refrigerator and kitchenette made it possible for us to save lots of money on food and beverage expenses. The staff was among the most helpful and friendly I've encountered. The secure area to lock up our bikes on the premises was key but IMO they could use some better bike racks (the ones that work with U-locks). Though well maintained there's a definite need for some renovation and upgrades. Kitchen appliances, sinks and counters are showing lots of wear. Half of the buttons on the microwave didn't work and the stainless steel sink drain was very rusty. None of these dislikes would keep me from staying again, though.
Heating was noisy and somewhat chilly it's usually fine on prior stays but it keep clunking loudly throughout the entire night
The hotel was within walking distance to several attractions including Mich Ave and Lake Michigan awful in every category except the front desk staff. Hair all over the room, sheets, and bathroom. 4 inch cement lip between the room and the bathroom (does a number on your toes in the middle of the night!), bed felt like a futon
The toilet wasn't flushed when I first walked into the bathroom which lead me to wonder if they really even cleaned the place. The beds are old and the mattress probably needed to be replaced years ago. But, if the mattress was old, don't worry bc the sofa are still new. They may look like they're from the 80s, but they have PLASTIC on them, under the fabric. I don't understand but I won't need to. I'll never stay here again. Leaving was great
Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room we got was under $100 and it was great. We were shocked at how much value we got for the price. Great location too. Would recommend this place to anyone Absolutely nothing
Comfortable, quiet, great location. Services were adequate for our short stay.
very close from downtown, museums, shops, river, concert... nice little studio gym room was not clean
Location Was not told about parking.
the people that working there
