Ulemper: "Flight was delayed and we were never notified despite receiving multiple emails to ‘upgrade’ our flight. While checking in we attempted to upgrade 3 tickets to first class and were sent to 3 different areas in the airport with our luggage, having to wait in line each time. Didn’t provide vegaterian options on board. Weren’t given a gate ever after landing 5 hours late and were kept on board for half an hour making us miss a 2nd connection we had to rebook after the initial delay. A frustrating experience hat could have been made better with just some communication about what was going on."

Ulemper: "I paid for the upgrade to business class and is like wasting money, the seat on business class was not working good"

Fordeler: "I love flying TAP because I love having extended layovers in Lisbon. Lisbon itself, including the airport, is easy to navigate. The food is great and the culture and architecture is gorgeous. For shorter trips TAP doesn't have as many amenities as other airlines, but on this trip the typical video screens with movies, music, etc. was available."
Ulemper: "In this particular flight there was a male airline attendant who was fabulous and who could speak many languages, including German. I noticed the other airline attendants seemed to be giving him a really hard time and weren't friendly at all. In fact, I rang a bell to ask for attendant help at one point and no one came to help. I was just a seat back from the area where the helpful airline attendant was available. I think that overall TAP flight staff could be a bit more open to being friendly. However, on the ground in Lisbon I've found the staff to be amazingly helpful."

Ulemper: "THE PROBLEM IS THE SAME: WE PAID AN EXTRA CHARGE FOR LUGGAGES, HOWEVER WE HAD A NORMAL TICKET THAT INCLUDED THE PRICE. TRY TO PROVIDE THE MONEY BACK!"

Ulemper: "The seats were cramped and it’s upsetting how you can’t select your own. Flying overseas for 7 plus hours it’s best not to be sandwiched in between two strangers, some of which were vomiting the entire flight due to turbulence that the pilot announced would only be minor."

Ulemper: "They were lying about a supposed compensation for denied boarding which was supposed to be handed out in Lisbon. I didn't expect this behavior from grown up people, and such a company in Europe. TAP should be excluded from star alliance."

Fordeler: "Luckily had a 4 seater row for us 2 only."
Ulemper: "Delayed 3 hours leaving Lisbon due to mechanical failure. As a hub more planes should be readily available."

Ulemper: "Food and entertainment needs to be better. The transfer over to cologne from Portugal was a bit hectic due to customs and we just made it in time for our flight. Need a better system to verify the passports."

Fordeler: "The trip back home to NY from Lisbon was great, flight staff was attentive and courteous, the plane was clean, the entertainment made the time go by fast and the warm blanket and pillow provided a comfortable experience."
Ulemper: "Unfortunately my girlfriend is a celiac and we forgot to pre-order a gluten free meal, so she had little to no food options for her to eat. The sandwich offered right before landing could be made with gluten free bread or even a corn based tortilla."

Ulemper: "Your change and return policy is a ripoff."

Fordeler: "One of the best flights my husband and I have had in awhile. Comfortable, especially for a 6 hr flight. Good movies, crew very nice, food okay."

Ulemper: "They gave my 70-year old mother only a few hours notice that they were changing her one-stop four-hour 6AM flight into an 8AM multi stop 14-hour marathon. In fact, she was already asleep when they changed her flight, so she was already at the airport when she found out about the change. To do this to a 70-year old woman is reprehensible. Worse, after 2-hours with customer service, nobody there made any real attempt to remedy the situation or offer any compensation. Worst airline experience EVER."

Ulemper: "The sizing device is much smaller than it needs to be for carry on roller bags. My bag was forced to be checked by the ground crew on this Tap flight. My bag is a normal sized carry on bag that has always fit on all flights. There was plenty of space on the aircraft for it. The ground crew also let others on with larger bags so they dont even apply their policy in a consistent manner. I will do my best to avoid TAP from now on."

Fordeler: "There was one male steward who was not friendly at all.....I felt he was giving me bad looks....I felt uncomfortable."

Fordeler: "Very good regional airline; good service; luggage arrived!"

Fordeler: "Staff was friendly and somewhat helpful, they were able to offer some compensation and hotel."
Ulemper: "I was placed on standby for my flight and ultimately did not get a seat. It took two hours to get a new flight sorted out and it didn't leave for 2 days. A massively inconvenient experience as I had a conference to attend and missed two days."

Fordeler: "Excellent service on board and at the ground... Very convenient United conection in the US :)"

Ulemper: "I found it very frustrating that we were told at the ticket counter the boarding would begin at 11:15am for a 12:45pm flight time. I arrived at the airport over two hrs in advance and then had to run a significant distance through the airport and sweat and be unnecessarily anxious waiting on the customs line only to arrive at the gate at 11:20am, to have my bags checked for a second time and then be unable to get any food or coffee before a flight that did not begin boarding for another 40 minutes. I did and still do not see the need for that additional luggage/security check and then being held at the gate for almost an extra hour for seemingly no reason at all."

Fordeler: "Stay away from TAP. I wish the people at the counter were just rude - they were tormenting us and lying to me about my luggage. When they found out I insisted on not checking my bag, they told me they would "keep it" in the meantime. Turned out they went ahead and threw the bag onto the plane. We ended up having to go find it at lost and found. They initially told me it was going to only take 5-10 mins to retrieve my luggage, but then 40 mins passed and still nothing. My poor mom had to wait by the empty belt - and boarding started and the luggage still wasn't there. They forced us to pay 35 euros (it's principle, not the money) when their policy said nothing about it when I booked it on the website. My mom was in tears and I had the worst few hours of my life. TAP - you are disgusting. It takes a lot for me to be upset but you really did everything out of your way to make us suffer. Even told us we might have to miss our flight. You put a huge dent on my trip."

Fordeler: "The check in was super easy, they attendent was lovely and the flight itself was alright. However, there was a toddler screaming for 30 mins and not member of the crew adressed the issue and talked to the mother ot tried to calm down the kid."
Ulemper: "They called us to queue up way before they started boarding. We stood there in a long line for almost 40 mins. They could've called right before they actually wanted us to start going in the plane."

Ulemper: "As a disabled man who had booked assistance both legs of the journey, no ramp on the return flight so I had to walk down the Aircraft steps in agony. Not good enough Ryanair. What if I were unable to walk?????????????"

Ulemper: "Delayed leaving Malta owing to too few staff attending to boarding. Arrival at East Midlands was dire, although I believe mainly due to inefficiency of East Midlands rather than RyanAir"

Fordeler: "Flight in the morning was changed by 3 hours making it impossible for me to get to the flight (Oslo Torp). Ryanair allowed me onto another flight (Yay EU 261) from the other Oslo Airport (Gardermoen) with a seat booked at no added cost. Customer service rep was fast and made the process very simple!"

Ulemper: "A 5 hour Ryanair flight is a terrible thing... Delayed 35 mins, kept the cabin lights on and sold fags for the whole flight, even though we took off at 8:30pm. They used the seatbelt light to keep people sat down during each trolley service - come on, it there’s turbulence, you don’t serve drinks. Oh and I don’t know why they are allowed to say “Low fares airline” as it clearly isn’t."

Ulemper: "Unfortunately, I fell asleep the minute the flight took off and I woke up after the plane landed, so I didn’t get to experience anything in-flight. It will be nice if you get onboard WiFi in the future though"

Fordeler: "Liked no pressure sales from crew, but was there if you needed them and helpful very pleasant done their job well, would use again but if alternative carrier might consider them due to comments below."
Ulemper: "Seats uncomfortable due to shiny covering, slide in seats when asleep ended up with bad back during break, just a suggestion being gluten free ( not a lifestyle choice) would suggest this being added to menu might make more sales as lots of us about and makes you feel cared for."

Ulemper: "All the process was tedious. If you dont print your boarding pass before hand, be ready to pay about $25 a piece for them to "print" it. (not even printed, is handwritten). Between other things. Not enough characters left to tell everything. Overall, a terrible airline."

Ulemper: "All flights were cancelled no refund. Ryanair rebooked me without letting me know, and then told me at the airport they could not check me in."

Fordeler: "Staff were good - even the cabin crew member who was still training was friendly and professional. Landing was incredibly smooth. The pilot also dealt very well with the turbulence and was able to predict it so the seatbelt sign already came on before any trouble."
Ulemper: "Even by budget airline standards, Ryanair is mediocre at best. The chairs are uncomfortable for a 4 1/2 hour flight - manageable, maybe, for a shorter journey but not anywhere good enough for that length of time. Boarding took an unusually long time and even priority passengers were stood around waiting to get onboard a good 15 minutes or so after already having gotten into the jetway. Not to mention after landing, we were stood over an hour waiting for baggage because, for some reason, four different flights used the same carousel (and presumably only had one team getting baggage off all four planes) despite there being a second one free which I'm sure they could have easily used. Don't have four planes landing near concurrently if you don't have the facilities to deal with it. Ryanair is cheap, yes, but by the time you have to pay ridiculous amounts for things most other airlines consider normal (for starters, you can't even take a full size hand luggage bag on board without priority boarding), it adds up to being less "budget" than it would have been to fly with a higher end airline like British Airways and you'd have to be an idiot to choose Ryanair over a cheaper, higher quality, airline. Honestly, I have no idea how people choose Ryanair more than once in their lifetime."

Fordeler: "The flight was on time, checkin was easy and the flight got me from point A to B for a reasonable flight"
Ulemper: "Charging to keep your hand luggage with you seems a little unfair. As a musician I don’t want to check my instrument and as it’s small I don’t feel I should have to pay extra for that privilege."

Ulemper: "The comfort was terrible. And moreso for people with back issues. Overall, the comfort affected the whole flight."

Ulemper: "Changed gate three times , 1 1/2 hrs late. Not accurate times given when it changed. On ground staff could have done better. System of boarding- all for themself created at least extra 20 min. Should board by rows"

Fordeler: "Flew from Dublin to Leeds and then back a week later. It's only a 1 hour flight and the price was unbeatable. For a short jump like this, it was great, but I don't think I'd recommend Ryan Air for a long flight. Seats are cramped and uncomfortable and the whole experience is akin to a flying cattle car. But for a very short flight it was fine."
Ulemper: "Base price is great, but be forewarned! If you don't jump through all the Ryan Air hoops they will charge you dearly for every transgression of their many, many rules re: bag size, weight, check-in, boarding passes, etc. Screw up and there goes your bargain fair! We were careful, so it worked out fine for us."

If there hadn't been a delay boarding the flight I may not have been allowed on. I arrived 90 minutes before this in-country flight as well."

Ulemper: "They had us filter through passport check to be in a small room without much AC. This is more an issue with the airport, but if they had been less strict about the gate rule to allow people to spread out and not be herded like cattle, it would have made things more comfortable."
