Also flight was delayed leaving and there was rubbish and chewing gum from previous flights. we had to clean the tables ourselves with wet wipes as they were dirty from previous flights."
Ulemper: "Upon landing in EWR on United, per my reservation on this site my connection was on SAS to Copenhagen. Upon arrival in EWR, I received an email from this site saying my SAS flight "may be canceled". I immediately headed to the terminal where SAS was and went into the lounge to speak to an agent. The women I spoke to could not have been more rude. She told me my flight was canceled and that she did not have access to any details because that was United's responsibility. I told her that could not be the case because my flight was on SAS so if they canceled the flight, I would like to understand what my options are given that I had a tight window upon arrival into my final destination into Dubrovnik so I could not be too late in landing outside of my original reservation. She told me that I had to talk to United and did not even acknowledge why there was a cancellation or anything other than the SAS flight I was on was cancelled. She barely even helped me to understand where my luggage was which I was very concerned would be lost given the issue with the flight cancellation. As a result of all of this, it turns out I was put onto a United flight that now had MORE connections. I had to now go to Frankfurt to Vienna to Dubrovnik, all with really tight connections AND now I no longer was on the same flight as my friend who I was traveling with. SAS did not help with any of this or care to assist in ANY way. They told me it was out of their hands and I had to talk to United. AWFUL service when SAS had cancelled the flight! I had no choice but to take the re-routed flights. I ended up running to my gates and barely catching all of my connections which made for a very stressful travel experience to start my long awaited vacation. After paying the high cost I did for my flight, I am extremely frustrated with my experience as I ended up having more connections, tight connections, awful customer service and a really stressful trip. This is NOT would I would expect for how much I paid and out of the quality of an airline. I would like to receive some type of compensation for the extreme inconvenience of landing 3+ hours after my original arrival time, being broken up with my friend who I was traveling with, not being given any options for my travel, terrible customer service assistance, and no acknowledgement from SAS to help me in any way."

Ulemper: "We arrived late in Copenhagen and I had 20 minutes to catch my connecting flight. Even though I was checked-in for the Copenhagen to Athens flight it left without me. I was then transferred through Prague to get to Athens and again missed my connecting flight through there. Now I am stuck in Prague looking for a flight to Athens and most likely will miss my next flight from Athens to Karpathos and will again be stuck in Athens because there are no flights out to Karpathos until 19 of May, 3days from now. I was physically in the Copenhagen airport and could have made that flight, I feel that since I was already checked in they should have waited for me and allowed me to board. Now I will Be missing work!"
Fordeler: "Everything about the flight was wonderful except baggage claim, in BOTH directions."
Ulemper: "It could have been the perfect trip, but I am not sure why SAS baggage handling is so mediocre. In both the flights from EWR to OSLO and back, every aspect of the trip was super, except for the wait for baggage. In Oslo, I estimate having waited at least a half an hour at the carousel before the bags started showing up, and the same in Newark. We had long cleared Immigration, which normally is not a speedy process, and yet still had to wait at least 20 minutes for the FIRST bag to appear on the carousel. Most annoying, particularly after a relatively long flight, and especially for transfer passengers who needed to recheck their bags to continue to other destinations."

Ulemper: "Cramped in a tiny seat behind someone well over 6’5 who kept slamming his seat back to get more room. We were later diverted for a person on the flight who had health issues all the way back to Canada when we were practically over Ireland. We flew back I believe an hour and a half back only to not have proper fuel equipment which took fueling forever and caused our crew to go past their duty day which made use get diverted again to Iceland for a new crew and even more gas. We were held on the plane for a total of 8 additional hours! We were never allowed to get off the plane, we were given very minimal food and drink the additional 8 hours, and when my girlfriend asked what was going on your information person in Copenhagen said they had no idea what was going on with my Flight and had no idea where it was."

Ulemper: "We waited an hour in the plane before take-off and after boarding, during which time the crew deliberately filled the cabin icecold air thick with the highly toxic fumes from the deicing. I got a headache from it. Throughout the process the entertainment units were disabled, when they could have helped distract passengers from this ordeal. The food was disgusting. When the Danish government has repatedly bailed out SAS, it would make a lot more sense for everyone involved to have higher quality Danish products on board for the meals, especially for such things as dairy products."
Fordeler: "Flight was on time. Boarding was simple and easy. Staff were excellent in handling the boarding process and very prompt in getting people seated/luggage put in to overhead lockers, free tea and coffee was provided which assured that extra comfort, would definitely recommend."

Ulemper: "When I went to the SAS counter to print my boarding pass, the counter lady couldn't find my information. She left me at the counter and went inside to find out more info. Then when she came out, she started interrogating me forcefully, about why I got United involved with my check in for my first leg of the trip, because I am causing her to have all this extra work and etc. How dare she!!! First of all. I didn't want to involve United, the service counter at SAS was closed the entire time, and the flight on my first leg was operated by United, so i had no choice but to go to United. In fact I should be the one asking why I had to involve United in the first place. Where was SAS when I needed their help and guidance???? Why was their counter closed the entire time??? Such a poorly organized airline, I'll be wary to fly with SAS again."
Fordeler: "The crew was nice, the plane was large and had many bathrooms. The seats were comfortable enough and there was a good selection of movies to watch."
Ulemper: "The boarding process was completely disorganized and hectic. The woman making the announcements on the plane was extremely soft spoken and the PA system was static-y so I could neither hear nor understand any of the announcements. The refrigeration system for the food also broke down on the plane so we weren't fed our second meal. Instead, they chose the cheapest and most unappealing snack of plain almonds to give us. Despite confirming our luggage situation with us at the first airport repeatedly (because of our connecting flight) SAS still temporarily lost our baggage when we arrived at our final destination and caused us to stay an additional hour at the airport after already having spent an exhausting day travelling."
Ulemper: "No food, no entertainment"
Ulemper: "Flight delayed so that would not be able to make the SAS flight. Therefore had to switch flights to go to CHicago instead. But initial flight was booked under alaska--but boarding pass unable to be printed from any of the kiosks and we were told to talk to American. American didn't know anything about it. THen stood in Assistance line for 45 minutes to be told that we needed to talk to VIrgin American. They rebooked us on to American, which then promptly was also delayed for several hours, and we thereby missed our connection. Throughout the process there were no customer service representatives either in person or on the phone who were remotely helpful. Overall, worst travel experience of my life."
Fordeler: "I was running late for the flight due to bad traffic en route to the airport. Nonetheless, the staff was very understanding, and called me to the gate once I finally arrived to assign me a seat since I wasn't given one when I checked in online. They upgraded me without my asking... to an economy plus exit row, so I had lots of room during the 8 hour flight to Copenhagen. The plane was new - an Airbus A330 - and the flight crew was friendly and helpful."
Fordeler: "All good with SAS. Not good with me. I forgot to ask for a window seat."
Ulemper: "I makes down for food and entertainment but food could be bought and provided entertainment is not necessary for short flights with such good views of beautiful Norway."

Dette virker unødvendig tungvint, spesielt med tanke på at det var ekstra lang ventetid hos kundeservice i den aktuelle perioden. Heldigvis var det mulig å få hjelp via Facebook, men det er visst ikke vanlig."
Ulemper: "The SFO crew was not helpful at all. Upon check-in, the SFO to Copenhagen leg of the flight was 2.5 hours delayed. When I expressed concern to the SFO ground crew, they said "You'll be taken care of in Copenhagen" in a very dismissive manner. I noted that we would miss our connecting flight (Copenhagen to LHR) and that there wouldn't be another direct flight that day. The SFO crew member told me that I was wrong that there was another flight available (a 4:30 pm flight). I told her that that flight wasn't on the SAS website and she told me that I didn't know what I was talking about in a rude manner. When I arrived in Copenhagen, the ground crew informed me that there was not a 4:30 pm flight and there never was. To get to London, I had to be fly first to Frankfurt then to London on another airline. Overall, this delay cost me over 6 hours. Utterly unacceptable and will never fly SAS again."

Ulemper: "Checkin was a disaster, girl was not aware of anything she was doing and after over ten minutes of explainatiin she still put me and my bags on a wrong flight. Lady at the boarding gate tried to help and finally managed to send me and my bag in the same flight. Even bigger disappointment was that I booked a business class seat and paid three times more money then a normal economy ticket, there wasn't any business class seat and all seats were occupied in the front rows. Staff was generally rude and not willing to help."

Ulemper: "We wanted to check bags and we needed to have our docs checked before we could get a boarding pass for the last leg of the flight. No one was available around the self service kiosks and the line to drop bags or get any service didn't move for 40 minutes. We finally went to the gate. In Copenhagen we had a delay and no one would even talk to us except to say " you are booked in tourist class so I can't help You". They do an excellent job of avoiding any contact with their customers. I fly almost every week for business and have never had this bad of service."

Flight was delayed an I almost lost my connection in CPH. and it has the narrowest legroom of all Star alliance flights. my flight from stockholm was delayed and there was a massive queue at border control and no SAS or CPH airport staff to organise to get PAX through faster so they dont miss their connection I had to fight my way through the queue otherwise I would have lost my connection"

Ulemper: "During online check in and through the website, I was informed that I would be able to have one free checked bag. I was never prompted that I would have to pay additional. However, when I arrived at the airport, I was told that I had to pay an additional $75 to check my bag in even though my boarding pass stated I was able to check in one bag. I was then pushed back and forth through the airport to complete this process. I would have liked to be given warning if I had to pay any additional costs."
Ulemper: "SAS overbooked the flight and changed our entire group's seats. The attendant at the front desk was very rude during this whole process. We eventually got middle seats in the middle row. During the flight, the flight attendant forgot to give my friends their meals but everyone sitting around them received meals. When we used the overhead button to inform them of this discrepancy they didn't respond for over 30 minutes. We eventually found someone in the aisle that was able to help get the attention of the flight attendant. The overall interaction with the flight attendants was terrible. There is no such thing as customer service with this airline company."

BEFORE THEY DEPART FROM THE USA ESPECIALLY BRITISH AIRLINES AND AMERICAN AIRLINES U DONT DESERVE A BETTER RATING I SHOULD BE IN ABUJA NIGERIA RIGHT NOW BUT IM STILL HERE IN THE USA. u made my FIRST INTERNATIONAL TRIP A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME U GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND WITH AMERICA AIRLINES AND BRITSH AIRLINES TO HAVE THEM SAY I WAS A NO SHOW!! Fordeler: "The crew was very friendly and kind, and the flight was very easy. The food was good and not too expensive. Security was not crowded at all (afternoon on a Tuesday). My bag got pulled in security and the man who inspected it was incredibly nice and was efficient and helpful."

Ulemper: "Tired old 747. Needs an upgrade. Packed in like sardines on an old plane that shows it age. Should have flown Norwegian. Major delay caused me to miss my connections though the BA staff were all over it."

Måtte betale for alt ombord selv etter å ha sittet i flyet nesten 2 timer. Meget dårlig service både av bakkepersonalet og ombord."

Fordeler: "The flight attendants were very nice and tried to accomodate everyone. The food was pretty good for airline food. The snacks and beverages were plentiful. The tea they serve is delicious! Good movies, online games etc."
Ulemper: "I did not like the very tight seating with basically no leg room. Very uncomfortable. Unless you can afford 1st class or the pod type loungers. There is no room in the economy section."
Ulemper: "I didn't like the fact that although we had regulation size suitcases for our London to Copenhagen flight, we were forced to check them. It was not a Finnair but a British Airlines flight. Although we were forced to check our bag, there was plenty of room on the flight in the overhead bins. Some were actually empty."
Fordeler: "Nothing to like about it. We were flying into JFK on Delta and our flight was delayed because of a navigational issue which in turn meant that we were going to miss our British Airways connection. When we attempted to contact kayak to see about moving us to another flight nobody bothered to help us we lost our entire round-trip flight on British Airways and we lost $1,000."
Ulemper: "The fact that nobody is willing to take ownership of trying to help a passenger when they are need in a situation that they had no control over. Also please see above for additional what I didn't like"
Fordeler: "Classic, reliable and trustworthy British Airways. Does what it says on the tin"

Ulemper: "It is difficult to get in and out of chair. I wish the chair handle would be moved up . Every time I needed to go to bathroom , I hurt myself."
Ulemper: "A 2.5 pound coffee!! The only free drink was Airplane tank water !!"
Fordeler: "No frills 2 hour flight. Comfortable and I slept the entire way."

Ulemper: "The food smelled great but neither in-flight meal accommodated allergens- would like to see a gluten free choice. In-flight entertainment included games, on their touch screens, on the head rests. Whoever thought that was a good idea clearly did not test out the product. I’d rather spend a long flight without my rear-seated neighbor jabbing my headrest."

And forget calling aer lingus 800 number. called twice and was on hold for 30 min each time, they dont bother answering. 2. At airport, I was willing to pay extra for a good seat because of the issues above, so they said they would help me out. Ha - the manager who purportedly was helping me out gave me a seat up front next to a shrieking infant and behind a bassinet (he knew exactly what he was doing but didnt care). They really lie and think we're idiots. 3. Same thing for flight from dublin to prague. This time last row next to toliets Dont fly aer lingus if you dont book directly with them, same for british airways I looked at BA's website - they do let you book a seat in advance but you must pay something for every single seat. Crazy. There are no free seats"

So as we were exiting, they told us to STAY on the aircraft as they fix the flat tire. We waited another TWO HOURS (three hours in total on the aircraft, seven hours in total late). We arrived nearly EIGHT HOURS LATE in Copenhagen. I understand that things go wrong, but the LACK OF COMMUNICATION by Norwegian Airlines to the hundreds of confused customers is UNACCEPTABLE."

As a result, I was forced to spend several nights in Reykjavik waiting for my backpack to arrive. Norwegian Air had horrible customer service when I called to inquire about my bag. They did not coordinate well and were slow to track down our bags. After they did find our bags and rerouted them to Reykjavik, they missed their flight AGAIN! What is more, they refused to guarantee any compensation. Hence, I had to pay for clothes, food, and lodging without assurance of reimbursement. I will never fly Norwegian Air again."

Ulemper: "same point !We booked a trip from Stockholm to NY. Got to the airport and the baggage fee was quite high, but i was ok paying it since i didn't prepay online- my mistake. BUT then i was told since the plane was stopping at Oslo we had to pay ANOTHER SET OF LUGGAGE FEES !!!! I said, no you must be mistaken, there is no way you can charge me for two trips just because your plane is making a stop! They insisted and rather than fight and get thrown out of the airport i am disputing with my credit card company, but it can't possibly be legal. $690.00 fees !"

Fordeler: "Food was actually provided with our ticket... not just ONE meal, but also a snack for before the arrival and the meals tasted good! Also, Oslo is a new and beautiful airport with great options for meals and stores to wander around. Also, the airplane had huge windows to look out of with new dimmer technology as opposed to just a shade. Very cool! With a couple of small downsides, we would STILL definitely fly Norwegian."
Ulemper: "We gate checked a stroller but were unable to pick it up to use in Oslo which was a surprise as it went straight through from gate check to full check in through the layover... with a 3hr 45min layover, it could have been useful to have it for our infant to sleep. Leg room is tight. Small selection of new movies for entertainment when compared to other airlines and it would have been nice to know we could get complimentary drinks anytime during the flight, but they were only available for free during meal service unless you purchased additionally."

Our return flight from Oslo to LAX was another bit of a hassle. We were each questioned by Norwegian Air employees. They were very strict about our luggage but not informative and inconsistent in the way they dealt with each of our luggages. They were also rude about it. When it was time to enter the gate, we were questioned by the same employees again. It was a waste of time and also unfair because we realized not all pssengers had to go through the same process we did. I won’t fly Norwegian Air in the future."

They seemed upbeat which was the only positive thing about this whole trip. Plus I think the pilot stepped on it, cause I think travel time was less than what was planned (I might be missing taxiing time though, so not sure)."
Ulemper: "Well, I can't say I wasn't entirely expecting this. There was over an hour and half delay. Nothing announced. We were in the dark. The plane didn't arrive on time, nothing announced. Boarding was delayed, nothing announced. When boarding was complete, there was an indefinite delay that was only announced quite a bit later. Anyway, the whole experience, including naming Charleroi airport as "South Brussels" is not something I intend to repeat."

Literally, a significant part of the plane were not sitting next to their spouse/companion. And then the crew announced that people were not allowed to switch seat because "assignments were made based on weight and balance calculations"! Wait, what?! No one asked me or my wife our weights, size, or even weight of any carry-ons, so what calculation were they making?! I'll tell you. They calculated how much money they could squeeze and, dare I say, extort from their passengers!"

Ulemper: "Check-in was a nightmare. I was on international travel with no PC, only phone and Ipad. I downloaded their ap on the phone, as they do not have an Ipad version. After tedious set up of account, I went through and completed the check-in procedure the day before the flight. However, when I attempted to download my boarding pass, the ap failed. I went to the airport 3 hours early. No attendant to be found so that problem could be resolved. less than 1.5 hours before the flight time, and after standing in line for 1 agent, I was told I could not be checked in, because I did not have a boarding pass, and I would have to purchase one from a service desk (different airline was providing service). The service agent said the Ryanair ap should have worked, and called them to request a waiver on the charge. They refused. I had to go back to the gate desk in order to check in, and very nearly missed my flight. Never again!"
