Fordeler: "Pumpkin soup instead of a heavy entree was welcome and tasty. Breakfast yogurt portion was generous, the granola less so. Accompaniments were good. Butter was not ice cold, thank goodness."
Ulemper: "Inbelievably chaotic boarding process for Kili to Dar leg. No boarding lanes so had to fight through the crowd. Was able to observe cleaning process at Dar stop, which was cursory and am sure there was no cleaning of seats of those who boarded at Kili."

Ulemper: "The flight was delayed (again!) for some 40 minutes and I was worried that I would miss my connection flight in Atlanata. Fortunately the pilot made up for the delay (probably costing the airline thousands in fuel). It seems these days that every KLM flight I take is delayed. This stretch goes back to 2015! Yet KLM prides itself as being punctual. Not the KLM that I have been flying!"

Ulemper: "None of our 4 checked bags arrived with us. This was despite ample connection time (2+ hours) in Amsterdam."

Ulemper: "Entertainment was dated and poor in function. Our bags were 99 dollars each and we’re both lost and didn’t arrive. I just filed a claim and got rude service saying I should have filed the claim at the airport baggage area but there was not anybody there to do the claim then he agent upstairs said they just spoke to them and they are there and I should have done it there. This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

Fordeler: "Efficiency and speed of boarding was acceptable. I have no complaints about that aspect. The Comfort+ seats were worth the upgrade, pretty comfortable and reasonable legroom unless you have a big carry on stowed under the seat in front of you."
Ulemper: "The first announcement they made to all of us in the economy section was thay they did not have any headphones for anyone but business class. I was told when I booked the seat that the headphones would be complementary. So I did not bother to bring any assuming they were going to keep their word; I figure I'd make it work and watch a movie without sound. If that isn't bad enough midway through my nine hour flight my monitor went out and would not turn back on."

Ulemper: "The fact that there are different airline carriers for one flight is hard. In my second flight they made me check a bag which was considered a carry on during my first flight"

Ulemper: "They can not retire these old Boeing 747's soon enough. Due to mechanical problems, our flight arrived at LAXfour and a half hours late and further problems with the cargo door caused an additional one hour delay of our take off."

I found this to be very odd since I booked a multi-city flight through Kayak. I was also unable to use TSA pre-check with Alitalia, which was inconvenient."

Ulemper: "My flight cancelled. I waited 3hours in the flight. They said they provide the bus instead of flight. Now, I waiting 2 hours for they provide bus."

Fordeler: "Nothing about check-in and boarding."
Ulemper: "Check-in was a zoo. The agents were more interested in gossiping and were constantly on the phone or running in and out of their stations. It took nearly an hour to get through the 10 people ahead of us. And then we were told that my 1 bag would cost $53 to check-in and that I would have to go to another counter in a far away part of the airport to pay...and we had 20 minutes before boarding. Afger running to the cashier, we were told that she had no time and that we should go back to the agent to pay! We ran back and paid, then went to look for our gate. It was finally listed as Gate 12. We got though security ok and got into the line for Gate 12. It was more like a scrum tan a line. Nobod seemed to be doing anything when all at once we saw people boarding. We went to the gate but were told that our flight was boarding at Gate 10!!! WTF??? Gate 12 listed our flight number and Gate 10 listed another flight, but we did as were told and boarded via Gate 10. None of other passengers knew what the hell was going on but we all made it to Rome along with our baggage. We will NEVER fly Alitalia again."

Ulemper: "Lost our luggage from Rome to Malta. Now, 13 hours after arrival in Malta, no one can tell us where our luggage is!!"

Fordeler: "Short flight crew was very friendly. Not many passengers so crew let us move around"

Ulemper: "Delay! I missed my connection! Had to spend a night in Rome! Had to be late to work Monday morning."

Fordeler: "The flight departed on time and arrived 35 minutes early. The flight crew was very helpful onboard."
Ulemper: "Tried to upgrade my elderly parents to more comfortable seats when checking in, but was told the flight was full and there were none available. It didn't appear that way after being boarded and seated."

Fordeler: "Initially I was a little worried because Alitalia had given us some disappointments in the past, but it was the most convenient flight this time for our final destination.We had to take 3 flights to arrive to our final destination, 2 with Alitalia.The crew was polite, helpful. We were very happy that for the first time Alitalia didn't loose our luggage(!) and we got it in Athens. Thank you!!!"

Fordeler: "Easy booking and boarding. Flights on-time very nice catching next flight in and hour and have to go through customs and change tefminals. Didnt feel extra anxiety about catching next plane"
Ulemper: "Our entire row of inflight entertainment was not working. It wasnt a huge deal but it would have been nice on an international flight LAX to Rome 11+hours. Also limited drink options. Water or cola from bottle and sm serving sizes. It would have been nice to have option of can or cup."

Ulemper: "Everything. Paid premium economy, didn't even have milk for coffee, seats were horrible, food was mainly bread. Old entertainment. Snappy staff. Would never recommend this airline to anyone!!"

Ulemper: "The service on board was really slow and not satisfying.. The food not as it used to be. I began flying your company about 40 years ago! What a change over the years!"

Ulemper: "flight was over 30 minutes late which is unacceptable for a 1:55 flight!!!!"

Ulemper: "No room and very uncomfortable"

Ulemper: "My luggage was not loaded on the aircraft! I have NO clothes for a special event! Unacceptable!"

Ulemper: "Worst airline company ever. Lost my baggage for 4 days although a friend of mine on the exact same flight with me received his. I'm on a snowboarding trip and they lost all my gear and basically made it impossible to enjoy my vacation. I sent 3 emails and no one has contacted me yet! I agree that these things might occur but the airline has to take responsibility for their mistakes and address the issues. WORST airline I've been to, if you are thinking of using it I double insure everything and don't count on them to be responsive!"

Ulemper: "Purchased ticket through Kiwi. Never will use them again. EVER! The "E ticket" didnt have: Terminal Carrier i.e. Air Italia The flight numbers Any record or reference number the airline(s) could use. Could not purchase a bag and had to pay extra at the airport Whilst clearing security Air France pulled me out of line found me to be 1 killo over, and air Italia demanded another 75 euros. Not the first time this has happened. I pointed out numerous french people passing with very heavy bags and indeed helped several women lift 20+ kilo bags on the flight into the overhead bin on this flight and others. They all were french and never were they stopped with their heavy bags "Oh" the "security" guy said "I thought you were English!" "Not so" said this Irishman "And you are racist". To no avail and all part of Air france's business plan to charge the dreaded Estranger extra. Never again will I fly Air France. Id rather take a train, drive or even walk. Very bad experience start to finish and yes so very Air France; well Air Italia too.."

Ulemper: "The boarding was chaos in both Munich and Rome. Apparently Al Italia had instituted a new computer system and the workers did not know how to use it. I spent hours on line getting a boarding pass in Munich, and then again another in Rome (in Munich no one was given boarding passes for connecting flights). I spend hours again in lines to get a boarding pass for a flight to Palermo, missing my connection and only getting a much later flight to Palermo. It was utter confusion. Shame on Al Italia."

Ulemper: "Staff was overwhelmed and not helpful. They don't seem to want to make sure flights are on time or that passengers are taken care of."

Fordeler: "Landing in Rome. Hotel after missing connection flight."
Ulemper: "Delay of 2 HOURES cosed missing a connection flight to Tel Aviv. Next flighr to Tel aviv 36 houres later !!!"

Fordeler: "AlItalia Flight 629 was operated by Airbus A330-200, which is a smaller version of A300 family. The seats were comfortable with enough legroom. The service was OK: there was no cocktail service, but only a dinner, which was surprisingly tasty. Alcohol-wise they served only wine in coach, which was also available throughout the flight at the self-service station by the galley, Overall, I would rate the my flight as just Okay."
Ulemper: "The flight was delayed over 80 minutes due to "the wait for necessary paperwork," as the pilot has stated. During the wait for the departure, the a/c was off and it was very hot, stuffy and uncomfortable on board the plane. As a result of the delay, I barely made my connecting flight, and there were many passengers that missed their connecting flights."

Ulemper: "Very disappointed male fly attendant I don't know he had a bad day or racist but he look like a didnt want service to me include Chinese ppl who seat next me"

Ulemper: "There was more than an hour delay in taking off, the boarding started late, and after the boarding we waited an hour seating inside the plane.. so of course the flight came late. I nearly missed my next flight. The variety of movies was poor. Half of them were Italian movies (I respect that, but I don't speak the language), I wish there were more movies and newer ones it's not easy when you have 11 hours flight also the chairs were really small, even compared to alitalias smaller planes in which the chair is larger and much more comfortable"

Ulemper: "Service slow on the ground but not terrible. The person who handled the bags was efficient but a miserable person and rude. That is not necessary! I am referring to checking the bags at the check in and check bag counter in Catania."

Fordeler: "Nothing was terrible about the flight. The crew was great. There was a delay b/c of weather, but you can’t blame that on the airlines. But € 3 for a bottle of water. Really. Extra fees to be able to take a carry on bag onboard. Really. The attempt to squeeze every last farthing out of the customer is frankly disgusting."

Fordeler: "Efficient service that was on time. There was no food or entertainment but that was expected. I like how everyone cheers when we land!!"

Ulemper: "1. I brought a trolley according to the specifications in the web page and the message sent to me. They claim it was too big, even though it did fit into the box they use to measure the luggage, saying that it fitted too tight, and insisted on my paying an extra 50 euro. 2. They purposely split family members in the hope that people will pay extra to sit together. We did it on the first leg, but then managed to switch seats without extra cost in the second leg. It just required several people switching around."

Fordeler: "The crew traveling out of Rome was pleasant is the only thing positive I can say."
Ulemper: "-we paid extra for priority boarding and did go through the line first to board the shuttle to the plane but then they had everyone else from the overbooked plane crowded like sardines into the same shuttle. It was a waste of money. -traveling to Rome on Ryanair we took samsonite carry on luggage onto the plane with no problems. Leaving Rome we were told to recheck our luggage size. The wheels stick out a little and they made us pay 100 Euros to check our bags. Once on the plane we saw many passengers with luggage and bags much larger than our own and did not have to pay to have them checked. We were the only Americans on the plane. -The seats do not recline and are at a 90 degree angle which is very uncomfortable for a 3 hour flight. -the crew traveling to Rome was very rude. -the seats were dirty with food and crumbs before I sat down and there was trash and food on the floor. It is as if the plane is not cleaned routinely."

Fordeler: "The fees as absurd. The staff in airport and on plane are rude. I should have spent $15 more to fly Alitalia and had a free check-in and a free bag. Ridiculous, had no idea they charge for everything... if u have a non-European Union passport to check-in, there's a different fee for that!!!"
Ulemper: "Late boarding, and unfriendly, almost nasty crew. Was a 6am departure and the whole plane of people wanted to sleep as you can imagine, and announcements were made almost the entire hour and fifteen minute flight! The fees for everything were ridiculous... surprised I didn't have to pay to breath! Never again onRyanAir for me! NEVER!"

Ulemper: "Lines were long and we were charged for not checking in 2 hours early, then flight was delayed 2 hours."

Ulemper: "2 hours delay , a crazy woman attendant tryng to push and broke my hand luggage to find space for other's people's ones arrived late and without a priority bording like i bought, disgusting service, the same women hit my arm twice passing with selling box"

Fordeler: "Nothing, flying with this airline is a total NIGHTMARE!!!"
Ulemper: "The people at the counter is very rude and inflexible, they do not help you in anyway and they just want to charge you all the fees they can in a very disrespectful way! As customers we should not pay super high extra fees for checking in at the airport. When we are traveling, we don't always have wi fi access, specially in London, so we were unable to check in online, causing us to have to pay 50 pounds per person plus 35 per bag. I would never recommend this airline to anybody, not even to my worst enemy. This is a thief company, robbing you the money you try to save by flying with them!!!!"

Fordeler: "we are very unhanpy with this airline .cheap no good thing!"
Ulemper: "they cannot charge too hight bags fee for internantional guest! zhis is pitfall to us!"

Ulemper: "The plane didn't arrive so we couldn't take off. Our flight was delayed more than 1 hour."

Fordeler: "On time departure and arrival. Very effieixent"
Ulemper: "Seats could of Been a little more comfortable. But it was a short flight so not an issue"

Ulemper: "Ryanair is the single worst airline I have experienced in 46 years of flying on more than 80 airlines from many countries. I will not ever fly them again, regardless of cost."

Ulemper: "I didn't like that the originally fairly cheap price became higher and higher to provide minimal comfort and service. 30-35 euros per bag, paid ahead of time, is a ridiculously high price to charge in addition to the flight cost. Middle seats unless you are willing to pay more. Not even a drink on the plan unless you are willing to pay. etc etc. It is EXTREMELY inconvenient not to provide a paper ticket. I was unable to print a boarding pass as I was away from home. At the check-in I was not given a paper boarding pass, and then when I got to the entrance area, my phone would not work to show the boarding passes electronically. Ryan Air's website was impossible to navigate to find my boarding passes, taking me literally about a half hour to figure out. This delayed our entry tremendously. On the flight out from Barcelona to Rome my son was allowed to carry on his skateboard plus one small other carryon. On the flight back, he was NOT allowed to take the board through security, and was told he was too late to check the board. This turned out not to be true, but we were not informed of this at check-in, again seriously delaying our boarding. Luckily we had arrived at the airport way too early, and this worked to our advantage given Ryan Air's incompetence. The next day we flew home on Swiss Air - what a pleasant difference to fly on a real airline! No issues, lots of help, etc. etc."

Fordeler: "Boarding was ok but was not organised very well at the gate Crew were friendly"
Ulemper: "Flight was late leaving Seats seemed cramped"

Fordeler: "Flight was delayed, but got time back when we departure to Rome. Fast and quiet flight !"
Ulemper: "Attending staff before aboard confuse with wrong info !!! Crazy and adding the lack of Aire condition"

Fordeler: "Lots of legroom. The crew was very nice and friendly."
Ulemper: "The plane was late and boarding was delayed by an hour and a half which caused us to pay a late check in at our hotel. Boarding was not an easy, seamless process. They made me put my backpack up top, but at least it gave me lots of legroom. Having a mandatory check in several hours before your flight to avoid a fee for "normal" check-in seems not customer friendly."

Ulemper: "Disorganized. Stand in line 3 times. The fare should includes bags or state that when booking for flight. Was not show we have to pay for seat assigment."

Fordeler: "Crew hawks goods majority of time. Mostly perfume which is worn as well as sold. It.makes me sick in a confined space."

Fordeler: "Bus with wings"
Ulemper: "Everything"

Fordeler: "The price was the best thing out of this whole experience. Two tickets from Barcelona to Rome were 44 euros. If you check-in online it's free otherwise you have to pay 45 euros at the airport. Also if you stay within the baggage limit you don't have to pay for the luggage allowance. We didn't pay to pick seats and we were sit next to each other (most likely because we check-in online a day before)."
Ulemper: "Boarding was slow and chaotic. Very cramped seats. You are literally sitting on top of each other. Also, the plane was very hot. They don't give you any snacks. If you want anything to eat or drink you have to purchase it. At times the crew ignored passengers. If you are looking for comfort and friendliness this is not the airline for you."

Fordeler: "Comfort and crew was good"
Ulemper: "Not being able to have mobile boarding pass is stressful.. almost missed flight due to communication while checking in. I would not like to fly this airline again through Europe due to this inconvenience. Very disappointed and will choose EasyJet next time."

Fordeler: "got to Rome 5 hours late"
Ulemper: "This flight was about the 5th leg of our European trip. I attempted several times to complete the early check in on the website so that we would save the fee of checking in later at the airport but I was unable to. We left our hotel 4 hours prior to the flight departure because the metro ride was 1 hour to the Barcelona airport. Next, we waited in line at the airport and were then told to go wait in another line and pay 50 euros each for the airport check-in. Then, our flight was delayed so we got to spend a whole day of our vacation in the Barcelona airport! What a waste of valuable time for us. Next tour of Europe I will gladly spend up to $400 more for a reliable flight on a different airlines. Time is more valuable, especially vacation time!"

Fordeler: "The crew knew no better. But everything from check in to boarding was miscommunicated, chaotic, nickel and dining and overall aggravating to say the least. I will never fly this airline again."
Ulemper: "Please See above. Non disclosed extra fees. Zero sense of customer care or hospitality. Stressed crew. A sense of chaos that does not make one feel safe nor secure when flying."

Fordeler: "Price was very low. That said, if luxury travel is your thing this is not for you. For a short flight, as long as you pay attention to their roles about baggage sizes and the cost of extras, they can save you a lot of money. They were on time and well-run, a big improvement over the last time I flew them (10yrs ago)."
Ulemper: "Allowable carry-on size is below industry standard."

Fordeler: "Plane was on time."
Ulemper: "The extortion at the baggage counter. The agent told us our carry on bags would have to be checked and charged us €55 to do it. On the flight, many carried on bags were much larger than ours. Then I watched bag after bag come down the luggage carousel with a "free gate checked" tag on them so apparently we were the only people chosen for the privilege of paying to have our luggage fly with us. Done with this airline."

Fordeler: "The flight was fine"
Ulemper: "They charge you for everything and it's outrageous, if you don't check in before and print or have the boarding pass on your phone, they charge you $45 euros!"

Fordeler: "I was made to pay for my carry on bag ostensibly because it was too large. The person ahead of me and the person behind me in the line had the same size bag and were not charged for their bags. The employee definitely had an anti-american attitude. I never want to fly on this airline again. Boarding and disembarking from the plane was like the great wildebeest migration on the Serengeti. No thank you."
Ulemper: "2 days before our flight we received an e-mail telling us to pay for our bag or we would have an excessive charge. Also, if we didn't print off our boarding pass we would pay a 17 euro fee for each ticket. It's a bit hard to print things while on vacation. This airline is LAME."

Ulemper: "The check-in agent in Palemo was very rude. The seats are cramped (paying a fee for front seats provided no additional legroom). Even the boarding process was willy nilly. Vueling provided much better service for regional flying service and comfort."

Ulemper: "online check in did not work so I had to purchase a boarding pass in the Catania airport which doubled the price of my ticket. What a scam. Beware!"

Fordeler: "They wouldn't let me carry on my beach umbrella, not cool. Otherwise fine."

Fordeler: "Flight"
Ulemper: "Too much advertising"

Ulemper: "Was unable to check kids in online, and did not print tickets in advance. Mistake on my part, but the process to resolve was very slow and unhelpful. They sent us to three different lines, and no one seemed motivated to help."

Fordeler: "Price"
Ulemper: "Extra charges for everything. This is a cheap alternative if you are only traveling with a carry on"

Fordeler: "Crew was nice. Great landing. Took off a half hour late but landed only seven minutes late. Not bad at all!!"
Ulemper: "The arriving plane was late, which is understandable and not an issue. However the airport boarding crew insisted on boarding us even though the plane wasn't at the gate yet. We all stood in a hot gangway, then stood on a stairwell to the tarmack (again without air conditioning) while the crew cleaned the plane. During this time, people who didn't pay for priority seating were making their way to the front of the lines that caused some pushing and was unfair to my wife and I who paid for priority seating. That whole process should have been handled better."

Ulemper: "Arrived at the Airport over 2hours in advance, waited in line to get our tickets and check bags. Line barely moved in over an hour. An Escalated line opened up for our flight from Barcelona to Rome, When we arrived to the teller to get our tickets and check our bags we were told we needed to wait in a separate line to pay for bags. After waiting in this line for over 30 minutes we rushed back to the teller just in time for her to tell us we missed our flight. (still 30 minutes to takeoff). We found out afterwards we would have had to wait in another 30+ line to get a "visa stamp". Wouldn't you know it, we booked another airlines and Ryan has refused to credit the flight (I kinda of get this one) and our luggage (which cost more than the flight). I have no idea how they can charge me for luggage they never checked or flew. The teller told me that the luggage would be refunded, however it never was. So I challenged the charge on my credit card. Ryan is saying that we needed to be there two hours before and show proof. How do I proove I was there two hours berfore? what a corrupt company never flight this clown organization, run by total ass-hat jibroni's."

Fordeler: "The price & the ability to carry on our bags. The coffee smelled delicious, but we didn't try any. Wish we would have."
Ulemper: "Our flight over to Catania left an hour late. We had to move from one gate to another. Even after waiting in line patiently, other people tried to move to the front of the line, cutting in front of us. We were told that if you wanted to not check your bags to be sure to get in the front of the line, so we did so, standing for nearly an hour, only to have other people sneak to the front of the line & cut in front of us. I don't know if there is anything you can do in the future to create a "queue" for lines for boarding, probably not, and other than that our experience with Ryan Air was good."

Ulemper: "We were traveling through Europe the week prior to our flight. I checked in on-line 2 days ahead of the trip. when arrived at the RyanAir desk 2 hrs ahead of the flight, showed the checkin agent my check-in status on my iphone. After 5 minutes of her computer work, we were handed a slip and said we needed to go across to the Ryan Office to get a voucher, since we didn't print our boarding pass. I re-read the messages on my iphone which said to check-in ahead, or else penalty. Screen didn't say print boarding pass or else penalty. Spent 30 minutes + at the RyanAir office. They wanted an addition $150 (100 pounds) because we didn't print our boarding passes before showing up at the gate. I expressed we had been traveling in Europe the prior week and didn't have a way to print. They didn't care. A manager reduced the additional fee to $50 extra. Don't know why. After paying the extra, and spending 30 minutes, had to go back to the other line and wait another 30 minutes to get back where we were an hour prior, then were in a rush to make it through customs and make the flight. After making it to the gate, the flight was delayed about an hour, without any communication from the gate. Overall, after several hops with RyanAir and Vuelling touring Europe, this leg was a great reason to avoid RyanAir in the future. Vuelling was very helpful to a traveler like us and gladly provided a printed boarding pass!"
