Fordeler: "Flights out of Kabul are generally filled with less-experienced travelers, so Turkish Airlines did the best they could with a planeful of new flyers. Entertainment system had some pretty good choices."
Ulemper: "There's a coronavirus outbreak going on. Just slow down, everyone. Take it easy. Slow down boarding. Slow down disembarking. Enable social distancing. Just slow down. We were packed into economy class, touched by every person walking past, bumped by every bag over every shoulder. Just take it easy. Let passengers try, even a little, to maintain a little social distance in economy class."

Fordeler: "One on the plane, the flight was fantastic! Great service and food. Comfortable for a long-haul flight. Very modern aircraft with nice entertainment system. Overall great experience."
Ulemper: "Scheduling! We were 4 hours delayed after I had already had a flight cancelled that day. And this 4-hr delay caused me to miss my connection. Turkish did take good care of me in Istanbul, though it was a very slow process to get a hotel with them. Also, my bags missed the connection somehow."

Fordeler: "The only good thing about Turkish Airline was the entertainment, the movie selection was pretty good."
Ulemper: "I did not like flying with Turkish Airline. Worst experience ever for travel. Kept us on the the plane for hours while fixing the technical issue. The food is disgusting, the crew does not speak very well English. They do not come quick enough when you want something. I would not recommend Turkish Airline to anyone. We had to pay extra for sears that were given, should have been given to us for free considering they treated us badly on our start of the journey."

Ulemper: "Connecting flight wss unreasonably late and they lied about luggage being loaded onto the flight. One of the bags is completely missing in the system. Waste of time and too much trouble"

Ulemper: "It took over an hour for Business class bags to come out. Not sure why I paid for business class if they don't know to offload them first in Dubai. Really ruined the first experience with Turkish Air."

Ulemper: "They took over 6 hours to decide if the missed and overbooked flight would be free or an additional $1000 (which they originally demanded). Spent over 30 hours in the airport with no help from the airline - NEVER AGAIN"

Fordeler: "Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. They fed us and gave us blankets and pillows and slippers. They were lots of movie and tv choices. It was a very pleasant experience."

Fordeler: "My experience on Turkish Airlines exceeded expectations. Boarding was smooth and the flight was on time. Service was excellent and staff professional. The crew was courteous but the hostesses could try smiling a bit more. Their courtesy was appreciated but it felt very methodical, more of an obligation and not spontaneous. The pilot did a great introduction and gave information about the trip. Also the plane toilets were clean compared to other companies. I expected to see a wider selection of more recent and award winning movies. Will definitely fly Turkish Airlines again."
Ulemper: "I had a 4 hour layover. The airport is not organized. It was impossible to find any Turkish Airline help desks and personnel. I definitely would have expected to see more ground personnel helping travellers."

Fordeler: "The security checks to board the plane were extensive and there was potential for the situation to be very stressful, but the personnel handled themselves very well under the pressure and stayed calm."

Ulemper: "Cancelled flights without contacting me Delayed takeoff for 9 hours. Took off knowing they would not be able to land in Istanbul and dropped us off in Izmir Did not cover the cost of food at the hotel in Izmir. Took us to a hotel over an hour away from the airport"

Fordeler: "They should inform layover passengers about getting their visa for free hotel accommodations."

Fordeler: "The flight attendants were lovely, they worked smoothly and did their best to manage an unpleasant situation. The facilities are also excellent, and as always, the fresh flowers and hand lotion and such in the toilets was a nice touch."
Ulemper: "The food was not up to standard this flight, mostly passable, but our pasta inexplicably tasted chlorinated, as if the noodles had ben boiled in pool water. It's a mild complaint, though. Plane food isn't always sterling. The true problem, unfortunately, was in the form of other passengers. Despite having an excess of available space to stretch out, our seats were surrounded by utterly out-of-control children. Crying babies is understandable, it can't be helped, but if your children are running up and down the aisles [including during the landing], sitting on other passengers [myself in particular], and lying down in the aisle to sleep [and the flight attendant had to ask multiple people whose child that one was because no one wanted to own up, apparently] they have no business being on a plane. I don't even care about the annoyance at this point, their behaviour was inherently unsafe and the parents just didn't care."

Got off the plane from the flight from Barcelona to Istanbul, to connect to New York and first thing this woman insists that me and my friend should go to exit and baggage claim instead of international transfers. My friend had to get a visa at check out and all the trouble of trying to get back into the gate simply because of a STUPID AIRPORT STAFF who doesn't know what they are doing. I have had trouble before with airport staff who doesn't know what they are doing or give wrong directions. That is why will avoid flying with them to Europe."

Fordeler: "Brand new aircraft. Onboard wifi and live TV. Good food. This is one of the routes where Turkish feels need to compete."

Fordeler: "I have flown with all big airlines including Lufthansa, BA, Delta, American and others. This flight was by far the best experience I had. They have lovely serving crew so no one actually hesitates to ask or want something. They have helped me and my two toddlers along with 3 other similar families of an incredible amount to make sure they are all comfortable. No wonder that received the best airline of europe award for several years in a row...There was only a 20 minutes delay during take-off and we still arrived home a bit early... Very smooth flight, one that I still cant believe I had with my 2 toddlers. Strongly recommended."

Ulemper: "This was one of the worst days of my life, health-wise, so it could be that my observation of the passage of time was somewhat distorted, but Turkish did everything either slowly, or more slowly on this day. First, name two things on a flight line that are wheeled, movable objects. Did you answer bus and plane? Well done. So if both bus AND plane are theoretically mobile, why then must I endure a long walk AND a long bus ride? Boarding was an hour-long event, probably due again to inefficient ground services. I fell asleep and woke up twice before it was over."

Fordeler: "On both of my flights to New York City, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the flight attendants were to the passengers. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Ulemper: "Seats on the 777 were too narrow. This 777 had a 3-4-3 seating arraignment, it would have been better with a 3-3-3, similar to a 787 configuration. With the current layout, even with an aisle seat, I was sitting in the aisle. And I am not a large person! The flight was full, so use the 787 and two daily non-stops. For a twelve hour flight, the food was only Okay, could have been better and with a better selection. Meal timing was poor."

Fordeler: "The last two times we connected in Amsterdam to Humberside our luggage was delayed. This time it wasn’t. The simple things give the greatest satisfaction"

Ulemper: "I’ll say the same thing about almost every flight I have, and this is mostly for the airlines. People might fly more and pay a bit more if you give us more room. Being crammed into a tiny seat with a bunch of strangers is never pleasant. Same in this flight. Nothing terrible, just the usual. Also, to the other passengers, sit down until it’s your turn to exit. What is wrong with you that you can’t sit five more minutes? Be polite and let the people in front of you go first, let them have room to grab their bags instead of having your elbows in their face."

Ulemper: "Flying with the same company from Vilnius, only on Riga they decided to weight the cabin bags. I understand the police, the limit weight, but they should apply it from the first flight, not just half way"

After informing Male Airport, a message was sent to Condor. No news all day. Next day lodged complaint replied they're investigating. Holiday ruined"

Ulemper: "airBaltic has a terrible luggage policy for musicians. They make you pay extra if you want to bring a musical instrument on board, even a violin which fits easily into the overhead bin. It is honestly discriminatory. Will not be flying with them again."

Ulemper: "The plane we were supposed to be on from Riga to Helisinki had mechanical problems so they switched our plane. We had an hour delay do to that. Then when we got to Helsinki our luggage never made it."

Ulemper: "I pre-paid two checked bags (one each for my husband and myself). At check in we were told I had not done this and we had to go pay at another desk in the airport and come back to the check in line, 40 euros each. I showed the agent my paperwork that showed one bag each--it was not explicit on the paper whether this was the allowance or what I had paid--and she shrugged and said "Bad information. You have to pay now and you can take it up with the airline later." This will be a pain in the neck."

Ulemper: "bag measure frames in Riga airport used for aB are smaller than in most airports, as a results we were asked to check some bags in at the last moment. we have had connecting flight through Riga with two hand bags. lets call them big and small. judge by yourself: flight, aircraft, small, big ->Riga CS3, on board, on board Riga-> DHC 8-400, on board, check in ->Riga DHC 8-400, on board, on board Riga-> CS3, check in, check in as you see, the same bags on the same aircraft were allowed or disallowed by the same company based on weather one flies to Riga or from it. i believe there is absolutely no purpose for doing last second interruptions of such kind"

Fordeler: "We arrived safely. Bilingual staff."
Ulemper: "The seats are worn and creek with every movement. There is very limited leg room even for someone who is short. When the person in front of you leans back it is impossible to reach your hand baggage or do anything but lay back in your seat. The landing was safe but not at all comfortable."

Ulemper: "The flight was cancelled, so I did not make to the my connection flight with different carrier. I had to reschedule the flight and stay in the hotel overnight. AirBaltic refused to compensate for my looses due to thair fault, castomer service is very poor, they took refusal position right away. Air Baltic planes are very old and no air conditioning, avoid air Baltic."

Ulemper: "In Stockholm they denied my boarding to Riga and Moscow as they told me that I need Shengen visa. When I was buying ticket I wasn't informed that I need to have Visa. I always travel through Europe with layovers and never have this issue before. I had to buy another ticket straight to Moscow and wait in the airport for 8 hours. I ask to reimburse me half of the price of this ticket."

Ulemper: "I was flying transit, but I had to go through the check-in in Paris. At the check-in they started to make problems about my carry-on luggage. I had just two flights from the United States behind me and no problems at all and suddenly I can't fly with my carry-on luggage? I didn't like the AirBaltic check-in service."

Ulemper: "The air conditioning was not working properly on the 3 hour flight which made it a bit sweaty and unfortable. The purchase of a cold beer was a must."

Fordeler: "Everything was very smooth and the crew was very attentive."

Fordeler: "Food was good, flight was on time, boarding quick"
Ulemper: "Aircraft was incredibly dirty."

Fordeler: "Quick bag drop and security line at Riga airport. Quick boarding with all the larger suitcases forcibly checked in at no charge. On time departure. Seats are comfortable enough for a short flight."
Ulemper: "(This is more of a comment on Kayak's review page than on the flight.) Haven't tried the food and there was no entertainment."

Ulemper: "paying for water!"

Ulemper: "Who charges for coffee, jeez"

Fordeler: "I was surprised by the professionalism of air Baltic employees. They dressed well."

Fordeler: "It's very inexpensive, especially if you fly with only with a carry-on luggage. On-board service has always been excellent."
Ulemper: "The check-in process is horrible, regardless of the airport you are flying from. It's just the trademark of Air Baltic. I learned my lesson and pay extra to use the priority check in line, as well as boarding. Otherwise you end up staying in a VERY long line. This time I was bumped from the seat that I picked when booking my flight, which was still assigned to me when I checked in online. No explanation or heads-up, I was just handed a paper boarding pass when I checked my bag, and only after I was past security line I realized that I was bumped from row 4 to row 10. I was able to get a seat in row 4 again at the gate, but not the same seat. Also, there was no priority boarding, even though I paid for it. Given this experience I will only fly this airline if I can get away with a carry on, thus avoiding the check in desk altogether."

Fordeler: "Flight was on time which was surprising given a late snow storm in Tallinn."
Ulemper: "The flight was fully booked, and the system re-assigned seats for a number of passengers. This created confusion as passengers arrived to their assigned seats to find other passengers in the seats. There also appeared to be a miscommunication between the crew as some crew members said to passengers whose seats were taken they should sit anywhere, whereas other crew members tried to get everyone back in their assigned seats. This was frustrating. Also the overhead bin lockers are very difficult to open"

Ulemper: "For people who have Airbaltic as a connecting flight this might be very inconvenient. We paid 40 Eur/person each way for our luggage . That brings the price that you pay so much higher than you expect at first. Also if you don't print boarding pass ahead of time which we didn't (plus still needed to drop off checked luggage and check our passports) they want to charge you 30 Eur a person to print that drinking piece of paper. If you don't want to pay that get out of the line with all of you luggage, go to kiosk and print it, then come back to the line. But that's companies rules , employees just have to follow it. Another problem was their attitude. The guy who got our luggage was so weird. Showing off and talking to us like a boss. After giving us boarding passes he said we can go to the screen and look up the gate ourselves. I never write long reviews but man! they got me mad that day. Never say never - but I don't want to fly with this airline again"

Fordeler: "Boarding was efficient."
Ulemper: "No free food or drink of any kind. That would have been okay since prices were reasonable. However, they completely skipped my row on my side of the plane, and I had to use the call button to get service."

Fordeler: "New Planes, crew"
Ulemper: "Entertainment cost !!!"

Fordeler: "Things moved along fairly well, especially once I was in Riga. The hour layover stressed me out because I wasn't sure if I'd make it to my connection in time, but the airport was not crowded so I managed to get through passport control fairly quickly and made my flight."
Ulemper: "Flight left a late, which was stressful with an hour layover in Riga where I had to go through passport control. Was very stressed, but made it with ten minutes to spare before my connection boarded because the airport happened to be not crowded."

Fordeler: "The flights were on time, and the Riga airport was efficient."
Ulemper: "The planes seemed very old and rickety. One was an old propeller plane that looked like it had a large patch. The second plane was so old that It was very difficult to open the overhead storage compartments. Both planes rocked side to side during takeoff and landing. I couldn't figure out how to check baggage online through Kayak, and it cost €40 at the airport. It got me where I needs to go, but with the baggage fees, it turned out to be about the same price as other airlines, and I wouldn't recommend the planes for people with any flying anxiety."

Fordeler: "On time"
Ulemper: "Mediocre crew Pricing policy makes you feel like a fool. Ex : if you book not directly from their website, you won't receive a email asking to check online and will end up paying a 30e fee at the counter."

Ulemper: "After barely making too tight a connection, all food and beverage needed Euros or European credit card. My Visa wouldn't work. Finally after I broke down (blood sugar way too high) the stewardess gave me a glass of water. Never will I use the money grubbing airline again"

Ulemper: "Boarding tool a lot of time. We departed late"
