After take off, I retrieved my purse & carry on to get my glasses and purse. The flight attendant gave my bin space away to someone..."
Ulemper: "See above... Who didn't upgrade their seat. My items had to go into bin 3 rows back. Very inconvenient & very difficult to retrieve after landing. I will never pay the additional fee for extra leg room again."

The food, if such a term may be applied here, was inedible. Just vile. In flight entertainment was a complete joke. Boarding was awful, but it always is. Seats were extremely uncomfortable. This racket is the ultimate way to rip somebody off of $1000. Horrible."

Ulemper: "I asked for one of the crew to help me bring up my carry-on luggage, as i'm just recovering from a flu at that time. Instead the FA looked at my bag and asked me in an irritated tone if my bag was really that heavy? I said I was recovering and I just need an extra push once I lift it up into the cabin. In the end she did help but i did not appreciate her attitude and felt disappointed my whole flight."

Ulemper: "Some of the male crew didn't do anything, the females did all the interactive work in serving and helping the disabled as far as I could see."

Ulemper: "The seats in economy are now Way TOO SMALL! You better start calling Economy - "Stearage"! Food was not as good as on past flights with SA. Movie selection not as good as past SA flights. Earphones supplied are horrible!!!"
Fordeler: "Excellent seat and pillow cushion... The krisworld in-flight entertainment was extremely easy to use while still having a wide selection of films. The touchscreen was also very simple and did t require a great deal of force to press a button...the steamed towel given before take off was extremely relaxing and set a high standard of expectations during this flight. Almost all of the those expectations were met. The toilets were extremely clean and the service of toothbrushes was the icing on the cake. For my meal I ordered Indian fish curry which could have been a little more spicy (I am Indian so I eat foods with many spices)."
Ulemper: "I would have liked a wider selection of foods in the menu.. Limited options. Also, I had a 11:45 AM flight from BOM-SIN which was supposed to start boarding at 10:45, but instead we started boarding at 11:30 and took off at 12:10."

The television had every new movie you could watch. Food, for an airline, was great. All drink service was included. Best airline I have ever flown!"

Ulemper: "From the moment we checked in in Singapore there was no service. Having travelled first class and Economy before with Singapore I was very disappointed with Business class. My husband and daughter were in First Class. The service was below average to say the least - more training required from check in to on board - (in Sydney the staff on the ground went above and beyond) In Singapore it was very fake and contained no sincerity. The lounge itself was also ordinary compared to others, no Amenity kits or PJs in business class - even Virgin Australia has that! I was so excited to be travelling Singapore again given past experiences but now Im not sure I will want to fly them again."

Very organized airline with friendly and professional air and land crew.

I am deaf & travel alone to India & back to Seattle via Doha by Qatar Airways. They did an awesome services, very friendly and helpful. Since we wear masks all the time during the flights, How can the air-hostess communicate with me? I came to an idea that we communicate each other through texting on my phone which was very helpful! One negative comment is that there are no closed captioning for English movies & dramas on TV. It need to add accessibility for deaf people to enjoy watching during their flights. I will fly with Qatar Airways again in the future.

Shortly before we landed at Manila, we were informed that in order to meet international flight rules and regulations that insecticide will be sprayed we were advised to cover our nose,as a medical personnel I see it not good cos it can trigger an Asthmatic attack in a known asthmatic patient ,it was a lovely journey"

Ulemper: "No matter how many times I have traveled with Qatar (5 international flights in the last year); I still do not receive any benefits such a priority boarding or upgrades."

Fordeler: "Flight was without any hitches, could have done better with boarding after the previous mishap of a 5 hour delayed flight and being forced to stay in Doha for a night which put everyone's schedules off by a day. Still, I would book another flight with Qatar airways for their efforts and overall good service."
Ulemper: "It would have been nice if Qatar Airlines also provided Priority Boarding for everyone on the flight that got delayed as there was a long line just to get to the boarding area."

Fordeler: "Check-in was a breeze; considering this being an internationaly travel, baggage check-in process was fast and easy. Was in and out in about 5 minutes. Goodie bag was a good idea; the goodie bag contains an eye mask, mini tooth brush, paste, hand cream, etc. These all were great idea and definitely helpful. However this is ruined by the tooth paste. It was a tiny tooth paste, fair enough but the opening is sealed tight w/o a way to easily pry open. This was a total bad idea of packaging. Flight tips were also good idea and informational."
Ulemper: "Atlanta to Doha was about 14 hours flight. The seats were cramped and narrow (no side support) Seat cushion has been stripped down to bare minimum, so effectively you may not feel much of a cushion. Cramped legroom Seats felt like junk and I had started having leg cramps after few hours. This so disappointing for a premier airline like Qatar. Overall a very uncomfortable ride."

Ulemper: "For 14 hours flight, we were given 1 meal and 1 snack ; that seems too little for a long flight. They didn't have whiskey, only beer and wine...really... I asked the flight attendant to put my cabin luggage in the space above the seats, because I am old and could not do it myself, and he first frowned and asked why....ridiculous"

Ulemper: "I had booked the Amaya lounge for the 3,5 hours stop over. It cost $50+ and was so not worth it! Bad food and uncomfortable chairs plus it was really crowded! Next time I'll just go to a cafe! No seats at the gate when I got there. Slooow boarding!"

Ulemper: "I was penalized because of a political issue between USA and Turkey. I couldn't get the visa to travel there, and despite that I couldn't get a refund. I am 1k with united air, and will never include THY in my plans."

Ulemper: "1. Economy seat rows too close together making seat reclines very intrusive. 2. Also, flight attendants did not request people to sit up during meals which made eating very difficult in my case. 3. Bathrooms were very dirty during the last 1/3 of the flight and remained so, including no toilet paper and paper towels. 4. No second serving for refreshment beverages during flight."

Very friendly and helpful, and a couple was very helpful in getting me a better seat because I'm 6'4", and for some reason, the ticket people feel it's ok to put me in the middle between people when the extra room seats seem to be given to short people. 3 Flight Attendants worked hard to find me an open aisle seat."
Ulemper: "Turkish Air's seats are too small, with horrible leg room, and they always have their planes too hot. They have to do something about it because if you're over 6' tall, it will be a horribly uncomfortable flight, especially when that flight is 13 hours."

Fordeler: "The food and beverage selection, as well as the service in business class was excellent. Initially I dreaded the long layover of 8 hours. But I found the Turkish Airlines Business Lounge. It was so spectacular that I didn't want to leave it. I found a small movie theatre equipped with leather oversized recliners and slept. I was told that the 2 story lounge is 6000 square meters."
Ulemper: "The business class seating is old and not as comfortable as the newer herring bone configurations. Privacy could be improved."

Ulemper: "Atl to istanbul flight seat was very close to each other, legroom problem as I tall men."
Fordeler: "The service and food was excellent. The entertainment choices was amazing. They gave me two decent-sized bottles of wine without charging me."
Ulemper: "They give you very little leg room. The seat in front of you touches your knees. After 8 hours in the same position it feels like you are stuck in a coffin or a primatial medieval torture device. The seat begins to hurt your back. You can't get in a comfortable position. You can't turn left or right. There's a little foot rest that gives you 10 minutes of relief but then that gets uncomfortable. If one of the people seated in with the inner row needs to use the restroom then the whole row needs to get up. It's cruel and unusual punishment. The airline just needs to expand the rows by 6 inches. Before you go bring a neck pillow and a butt cushion. Or better yet, pick a seat located in a front section that gives you more leg room. If you have the option then this should be a higher priority over a window seat. You will thank me for this advice."

Ulemper: "Waiting on the tarmac for the bus to shuttle us to the terminal. The limitation on carrying my laptop into the cabin. Having to check such expensive, delicate equipment under the airplane where baggage handlers couldn't care less about how they manhandle the luggage sucked."

Fordeler: "same as above, i love that i was able to check in online and choose my seat. I love the kit (toothbrush, socks) and the quality of the pouch - super love it! Pillow and blanket as well is still the same quality as before."

Ulemper: "Thankfully I did not have to interact with the flight crew or on-ground customer service very much, especially after my flight from San Francisco to Istanbul (which was an absolute nightmare)."

Ulemper: "Their boarding pass listed departure time for boarding time which confused me. The staff in Istanbul is extremely unprofessional and have caused me to missed my connecting flight. I had to get a visa and waited almost 2 hours in line in order just to be able to reschedule my flight."

Fordeler: "Food and service were great. Plane was super clean and economy seats were very comfortable."
Ulemper: "The in-flight entertainment system didn't work on the way back."
Ulemper: "I showed up roughly an hour before the flight, as I had no bags to check in. The employees at the check in counter had already cleared out, so I was unable to get my boarding pass. Then when I called in, they were extremely unhelpful. They gave me no alternative options, and instead only listed out a ridiculous list of fees and said I they could get me on a flight a different day for a total cost that was greater than what I had paid for the entire round trip ticket. I asked to speak to a manager and they refused to connect me. I ended up buying a one way ticket home with another airline. I will not fly with Turkish Airlines again in the future, and I would definitely not recommend them to anyone. Just beware of this service if you see them listed as the cheapest option."

Ulemper: "They had assigned the same seat to me and somebody else, and the other person was already sitting in the seat when I got there. The only other available seat was in business class, and although the flight attendant later admitted I should have been given that business class seat, the other person successfully argued to take it. Staff are good though not as friendly as most Asian airlines."

Fordeler: "I loved being able to stay in Istanbul for a while. We had a great time during the layover, and the flight was incredible. The entertainment was top notch, and the food was as well. They had delicious olives and cheese on most meals, and the hot food had great use of tomatoes and umami to add taste to the meals. It has been a great experience traveling on Turkish Airlines, and I would suggest it for everyone."
Ulemper: "Leg room for the seats were a little tight."
Fordeler: "Boarding by groups; seat-back entertainment with a lot of recent movies to watch"
Ulemper: "Just a dinner and a breakfast for a 9 hour flight seemed a bit on the short side."
Fordeler: "I loved that they give out the little packs of socks, slippers, ear buds, eye cover, and toothbrush with toothpaste. Also, the movie and TV show selection is excellent! It definitely kept me entertained for the entire 10 hour flight!"
Ulemper: "By the time the food and beverage cart got to my section of the plane, they were out of several items. It was a little disappointing. But the options that remained were still sufficient."
Fordeler: "Nothing"
Ulemper: "The flight was late by over 2 hours and we missed our onward flight to San Francisco. At Istanbul, Ataturk Airport, Turkish Airline did not provide a Visa although they gave hotel and boarding passes for next days flight. At Istanbul, Ataturk airport it was a nightmare for us, as senior citizens. Why should we buy the Visa when the flight was delayed which is no fault of ours. Of the 4 automatic e-visa machines onlyEv 1 was working and there was a long queue. In between the machine stopped working for a long time and no one was there to assist or restart. They gave our boarding passes for the next days flight and their responsibility was over. We had to wait for over an hour to get the hotel. Overall it was a bad experience."

Flight from Lusaka to Addis was excellent. But nothing to Nairobi"

Ulemper: "They weighed my carryon! I haven’t seen any other airline do that before. I flew with them 3 times this year, 13 hour each flight and the entertainment was not the best. They didn’t have enough current movies or tv shows. The food was bland. Coffee cups were plastic and it burnt my finger."

Fordeler: "Ease to select seats on line The flight was a little delayed but they got me to my connecting flight on time at Addis Ababa. Good on board service"
Fordeler: "Attendants were courteous and the spacing is better than some airlines, but that’s about it."
Ulemper: "Check in was a disaster: no logical control of 100s of people; delayed on the tarmac for 1:45 for a “minor technical reason” that apparently had nothing to do with the actual operation of the plane that prevented me from making my next flight. Food was terrible. Flight attendants could have been more helpful about my missed connection."
Ulemper: "Boarding was a bit strange - everyone seated at the gate had to get up, leave the area, and then wait in line to have their passports checked before sitting back down in the same area. After that though, boarding was perfectly smooth & honestly one of the fastest I’ve seen!"

Ulemper: "The arrangement of the airport was disconcerting. To get to your gate you have to pass a another security point that you can not leave. The area was akin to a cattle yard. No bathroom, water, or amenities. You had to stay in your pen until boarding. Duty free was not allowed and had to be purchased on the plane for an additional cost. Not to mention the whole stopping in Dublin, Ireland for fuel without notice. There was nothing in my paperwork about it and we were only told to stay in our seats for the next hour or so while they refueled. We didn’t do that on the flight over was that was worrying and we were given no additional information."

Ulemper: "The experience from the airport to the plane to Lome was beyond troubling. If ever you are flying internationally from NYC, never fly from Newark New Jersey. Nevertheless, upon boarding the Ethiopian Airline flight to Lome that was supposed to depart at 9:15 pm, the courtesy of the flight attendants was a bit mundane. My mother and I sat on the plane for about an hour after the time of the depart before inquiring why we have no moved and the doors were closed. The flight attendant responded with, "We shall be moving shortly." The air conditioner was barely on. My mother is battling stage 3 Cancer and is an older woman so, I feared for the safety of her health in such a condition. About 30 minutes passed, and we inquired again. This time with a different flight attendant and she said she just did not know what was going on. Other people on the plane began to panic in a sense as well because like my mother and I, they too had a connecting flight to catch. The pilot did not inform the passengers of what was occurring. So, at this point, all passengers on flight ET509 had been sitting on the plane for an hour and a half. By the time we were sitting on the plane for 2 HOURS with the doors closed the pilot finally informed us that they were waiting for some paperwork. He did not apologize or give more information as to why we were sitting on the plane so long, with practically no AC, and weren't informed about when we would be pulling off. About 10 minutes later, the plane began backing up while people were still standing because they were restless with the wait especially when we had a 10-hour flight ahead of us. The pilot then got on the loudspeaker stating that we will be pulling in the air shortly and for the flight attendants to be seated. The pilot did not apologize for the inconvenience or state how long the flight would be or what time we would land in Lome, Togo. Once we were in the air, there were many safety hazards administered by both the crew and pilot. The seat belt safety information was not given, the exit areas in case of emergency were not discussed, what to do in case of an emergency, where certain equipment would be in case of illness or an emergency, and we were still not informed about the cause of the 2 hours and 15-minute delay. My mother and I consistently checked the flight tracker and it did not show the duration of our flight, our location while flying, no flight information was displayed and as hard working paying passengers we should have had all of the information and not have to continuously ask to get a slight answer. Also, I am a vegan and they did not have food for me. But there was a flight attendant who gave me extra fruit which I greatly appreciated. The flight coming back to Newark was decent, going was the major issue. I pray we are accommodated for these great inconveniences. Because to have spent almost $3,000 and receive this type of treatment is both saddening and disturbing to me."

Ulemper: "They overbooked and pushed us to later flight, later flight boarded late, on run way 2 hours, plane maintenance issue so changed aircraft—supposed to arrive 1:30pm, arrived after 10pm, gate agent erased reservation adding frequent flyer number so my seat was given to someone else and I sat finally in last row by toilet instead of with my family—then no one can find record of my return flight and Ethiopian contact number impossible to reach. Truly awful experience. I have no idea if I will have seat on return flight."
Ulemper: "Lost my bags, missed two connections due to delays, took a bus home instead"
Ulemper: "The headphones weren’t working and boarding at Addis was very poor. They should have more personal when checking before the Gates"

Ulemper: "Somewhat dirty ( and smelly ) aircraft even though they are a very new fleet. Some seats had strange patches and stains. Overall cabin experience can be improved in terms of hygiene and food quality ( food was mediocre or slightly worse). Seat ahead reclines almost too much into personal space in the new 787 aircraft. The LCD displays don't pivot so it's virtually impossible to view the entertainment when the occupant of the seat in front fully reclines ( a somewhat irritating issue on a long flight )"
Fordeler: "Cabin crew were all charming."
Ulemper: "Unfortunately, I had to request earphones (which were not supplied in the seat pocket in front of me) five times from three different attendants over the course of an hour and a quarter before I was given them. This was not just so I could watch a movie but because the quality of the plane's public address system made it very difficult to listen to the announcements from the captain and the crew. Listening on earphones I was able to hear everything clearly. Why it had to take so long just to give me earphones I don't know."
Fordeler: "Good food and drinks"
Ulemper: "No entertainment"
Ulemper: "Terrible food (chopped cold spaghetti with no flavor) and terrible service (crew forgot to offer me tea or water, did not come when called) and over one hour late with no apologies given"
Fordeler: "Excellent chicken dish"
Ulemper: "Crew was not friendly and seemed to ignore my requests. Seat was not comfortable. Food was okay."
Ulemper: "Seats were so uncomfortable, like three airline doesn't care about comfort. The food, which is usually decent, was also below par."
Ulemper: "It was a night flight (~4-5 hours), however, 80% the time the lights were on... people did not want to eat/drink... and get disturbed constantly by the crew. We just wanted to sleep. Without lights"

Fordeler: "New 350 was a fantastic plane and the seats were excellent. Bags arrived within 15 minutes"

Ulemper: "- terrible food and no snacks provided - Crew was inattentive and did not monitor passengers e.g. standing when seatbelt light is on - bathrooms were rarely cleaned on 18 hour flight - poor air circulation"

Ulemper: "The boarding process was cumbersome but I think that's because of the airport not the airline."

Ulemper: "One segment of my flight did not have the gluten free meal I had requested ahead of time. Super crowded."

Ulemper: "Food is the SAME every time! Service was not great, skipped me twice on drinks and they seemed annoyed when I asked for a water and a water refill since the cups are so small. I get that its a quick flight and they have to finish before a certain time. But service for the people in the back should be the same as those in the front."
