The check in wasnt so good and fast
[ ] Chaotic is an understatement! I was flying from Helsinki to Los Angeles via Stockholm and eventhough I booked everything directly thru finnair, they gave me only 35 min to change planes that required crossing accross terminal 5 and going thru customs. I asked helped to different staff multiple times and no one cared. Finally when I made it to the gate the flight had been delayed because finnair did the same thing to other flights yet the app and website never updated. Finnair made several of us think we had missed our flight! [ ] Then when I got to the gate, the staff checked all of my documents again eventhough I had been checked in Finland less than 2 hrs before. If you fly with Finnair get ready for chaos. [ ] Messy online presence. Too many emails saying the same thing but hard to find relevant information (for example, I couldn't find any information about the trip from Stockholm to LAX) [ ] they provide the option to check in online and tag your bags at the airport but then have no bag drop line at some airports. [ ] Luggage information in Helsinki was never clear and caused us to step out and have to ring the doorbell to get our bags. It took forever for someone to open the door. [ ] Staff are careless about customer comfort. In rovaniemi, we had to board thru the tarmac and the attendants didn't care that people had to wait outdoor on freezing temperatures while the passengers were taking forever to put in their luggage and sit down. [ ] the only positive is that the airplanes are in good condition.

Ulemper: "The boarding was awfully slow, and the flight departed nearly half an hour late. The cabin crew offered free water and coffee, once. Even then I had to ask the flight attendant, they did not ask me. No entertainment on the flight, magazines were rather pricy so I read a book and caught up with some sleep."

Ulemper: "The sound was out on my chair, so there was no sound to the movies. The food was really kind of junky and I decided against eating most of it so I wouldn't make myself sick. The meals could really do with more produce and a few more vegan options."

Ulemper: "Couldn't check in online 24 hours ahead. When called Finnair on the phone, they couldn't check us in, told us we have to check in at counter, by then all good seats were taken and I couldn't sit next to my husband, and this is our honeymoon trip. It's a full flight and All upgrades were booked by then so couldn't even upgrade to business class. Requested a gluten free meal, no crew can figure out it that meal was on board (not in system nor on paper list), so at the end no food for me. I have been dying BA for last five years and this had to be the worst BA flight I have taken, absolute chaos at the check in counter and no organization. One BA counter agent Alexa tried to help but it is just too late. I expected more from BA."

Ulemper: "A nine-hour flight with ancient over-head screens? Great for those not sitting in a window seat, otherwise don't plan on being able to watch the movie. The first being a cartoon by the way. I'm sure the 3 children on board had a great time watching it. 2 bathrooms on a 9-hour flight for the entire coach cabin? One of which was near the front. Can you guess what the plane smelled like by the time we landed? Let's discuss the fact that passengers had to be "shuttled" to the plane because of construction. I paid additional for Group 1 boarding, so great I got to get on the shuttle first. Those that came after me also were the last to board the shuttle and the first to get on the plane. Thanks, American, for showing me again why I use you as a last resort. Had I known it was American and NOT Finnair, as I purchased it, I would have re-thought my purchase."

Ulemper: "Loading was like a cattle car. Drinks were slow to be offered. No drinks until after food was served more than one hour into the flight. No one ever seemed to check if I needed anything. When I did, there was no call-button. Seats were from the 90's and VERY narrow. I would NEVER pay for First/Business class on Finnair again. It was very poor."

Ulemper: "The seats had so little padding. We are not very tall and the seats are just too close together. The poor fellow behind me could not make a move without bashing the back of my seat. Not his fault. If you are over 5'5" tall you are in trouble. It is too bad that flying has become so uncomfortable in coach."
Fordeler: "Nice flight, plane was new so that was great. I was traveling alone and got upgraded to Premium Economy. Lovely!"
Ulemper: "It is absolutely ridiculous that they made us pay $100 each way for our ski bag/equipment. I will never fly either airline again. Horrible customer service as well. The airplane and its entertainment system is quite antiquated and needs to be updated. Horrible experience."

Ulemper: "Hi -- the flight was fine. A bit of turbulence and rocky but it was raining so it's understandable. The crew was nice, professional. The plan was actually delayed 1.5 hours. They sent a text message at 7:15 apparently but my phone was not on so I understand not receiving it. I also left for the airport around 7:15. I also received an email from Kayak at 7 am that said there was no delay so I didn't check to see if there would be any others. I never received an email from Kayak about the delay. I would just suggest making sure all the alerts I get are correct. I also receieved an email to check in 72 hours before the flight but it wouldn't let me on Finnair.com Maybe I was supposed to go to Open Skies. Thanks! Melodie"

Boarding was two-step, checkin then wait then enter the aircraft. Aircraft was very old, seats worn and even ripped. No entertainment. Feed was very basic - a warm sandwich in a plastic wrap… crew was ok, a bit cold and stern but otherwise polite
4 flights in 3 weeks between arrival and departure and all flights delayed about 5 to 6 hours ! What’s going on with AF ?! Not a low cost and you paid for that service !?!? Not anymore
Hyggelige og effektive ansatte. Derimot er flyene til og fra Oslo alltid forsinket og i vår tilfelle var det på 25 minutter. I tillegg, er kabinene på enkelte fly delvis utdaterte, smart å sjekke på forhold hva slags fly du skal fly med. Ellers er det er svært bra selskap som jeg anbefaler å bruke.

Whilst the crew were nice , the actual plane was old and creaky. It wasn't up to the standards expected of Air France. They could have done better in getting a plane up to standard. A lot of the passengers were disappointed ."

Ulemper: "The chairs, for whatever reason, after just not that comfortable. Too squishy and they make noise when you adjust your position. I fidget a lot on flights so I felt like I was making a lot of noise. Also the plane didn't have cold air, do you get toasty pretty quick."
Fordeler: "Premium Economy on AF Boeing 777 on this route is not "a little less than Business", but rather "a little more than Economy". Seats, in a 2-4-2 configuration, are hard but OK, as well as the pitch. Good screens and entertainment."
Ulemper: "With the main meal, AF serves only "ordinary wine", This looks and tastes cheap. On the same route and class, Vietnam Airlines serves premium wines, a nice touch that would not cost fortunes to AF! Also, the "Asian" choice for the main course did not look and taste like the real thing."

Ulemper: "Airport experience at cdg was atrocious. Took more than an hour to check in and it was a complete zoo."

Ulemper: "One of the engine was smoking just as we took off. This should have been checked beforehand that it was working correctly. The pilot missed the first landing, was going too fast and had to turn around. We circled the London eye 3 times. When we were actually landing it was extremely bumpy and on the way down the plane was tilting back and forth a lot. They were going too fast when we landed as well, I have never been in a plane that has landed so poorly, and I have travelled a lot and used many different airlines. It was worse than any budget airline I've been on. As we were driving back to the terminal, the pilot stopped short for some reason. Things were not explained clearly. I will not be flying with airfrance again and will be sure to spread the word of this awful experience."

Beware of connecting flights as Etihad planes can arrive late, we had originally a 1.5 hour connection but on arrival 45 minute connection left which was still doable. They bumped us off the flight even though enough time to transfer. Transfer desk was unhelpful. Wanted to rebook us for 24 hours later, wasting our accommodation booking in the final destination. Finally after much stress and arguments they put us on a code share flight which needed a connection in another country and arrived 4 hours later. Not great experience.

I was somehow selected by the airplane for an upgrade flying to Bangkok which even elevate all of my experiences above. A great layover program definitely recommended!!!"

Need more care to the food sanitation especially open water because I had later diarrhea after drinking it. Could be more organized for lining up different seating zones onto the flight, also seat arrangement is a bit off because bothe times I was asked to switch seats for couples and families w kids."

Ulemper: "Since our custom and emigration checking was in Abu Dhabi, in Chicago, the flight used a domestic terminal. For our final leg of the flight, we had to haul all six pieces of luggage from terminal 5 to terminal 3. Then we were told that our American Airlines flight from Chicago to Kalamazoo is not a valid one. So we were booked to a different flight 12 hours later. We had to stay in Chicago for 12 hours on our own. Neither Etihad nor American Airlines provide any support for that time period in Chicago. Since it was Etihad ticket, According to international norm, Etihad should take the responsibility for this problem and compensated passengers."
Ulemper: "they asked me to check-in my carry on (which i am always able to take with me, and which i was able to take with me on the first leg of even this journey). it came as a surprise and i was in a flux, Thank God I had my passport in my pocket or it would have turned into a nightmare (I keep my stuff e.g. jacket, wallet, etc in my carry on)"

Ulemper: "They only had two choices of food: either vegetarian or chicken. The number of dishes were small as well. The “salad” was horrible."

Ulemper: "Since i was travelling alone, it was asked to change my seat from an aisle seat to a fairly packed seat in the middle of the plane. i did them a favor because a son wanted to sit next to his dad. i really shouldn't have change. the seat was very cramped. like wow, the plane was small. i do not think i would do it again. ever."
