Fordeler: "Is a case of what didn’t I like. When you fly low budget just expect surprises. The small prints are terrible clauses and you will never know when they will get you. Today I was charged £25 on the spot by WIZZ AIR at the boarding gate, even if I disagreed with the charges, I wasn’t prepared to miss my flight W61301 from Warsaw to Luton. There is a degree of unfairness with these impromptu and extra charges. I came on the same flight with the same bag and there was no hassle. I was a soft target and whilst I had no problem with the flight and the service provided, I will not recommend @wizzair. I felt the extra charge was a con."
Ulemper: "WIZZ Air need to be sensible. I travelled from London to Warsaw without any problem and they made a problem on my way back.!"
Fordeler: "We had an eventless and safe flight and it was not too cold on the plane."
Ulemper: "There was no paper towel in the toilet, the water for the tee was not warm enough to have tee. We have been told to have 10-20 min delay we arrived much later. And the intonation of the speaking stewardess was so annoying that you could not listen to it :( These are minor things but can change the customer experience."

Ulemper: "They split me and my wife on porpuse to force me to buy the option to choose my seating. The leg space is tiny and the chairs won't recline so it's super uncomfortable. Flight times are shitty. Te leave early in the morning so you can barely get some sleep at night. Nor on the plane. They don't any serve food or even water and let you dry up. You can buy overpriced food and beverage onboard. My purchase from the duty free was stolen and they didn't help me handle the problem. Awful experience."
Fordeler: "I was at the gate. Before the door to enter the airplane. The Hungarian crew wasn’t telling me that they are closing the gate or going to close it. They completely ignore me and let me stand there and at the end I see the door close in front of me, 2 meter from me and they told me I mised flight."
Ulemper: "I lost my money and I had to buy new flight with other company. Wizzair crew at budapest was very rude and didn’t take responsibility for the mistake they did. They could just say they are closing the door but nobody did. 2 meters from me and after I passed all security they ignored me completely."

Fordeler: "One of the very rare on-time, efficient and smooth flights with Wizzair. Check-in was fairly quick and incident-free, despite some of the other passengers reporting problems with the procedures and the staff. Boarding was quick and the flight actually arrived 10 minutes earlier than scheduled."
Ulemper: "As usual, the cabin crew is adequately polite, but not overly friendly, the food & beverage range is mediocre and overpriced at best and the entertainment is virtually non-existent."

Sat bolt upright with front seat digging into knees for 3 hours. Far from the cheapest ticket, but totally no frills, no food, no entertainment, limited baggage. Wizz Air mobile app barely works when required (for boarding passes, etc) Not enough room in overheads for all the carry on they allowed, had to sit with bag and jacket on my lap for flight, as no room under seat either."

Ulemper: "We arrived at the airport 2.5 hours earlier than departure as suggested. They opened check in for Naples on the boards but the agents would not let anyone for Naples check in/bag drop. Once allowed it was chaos in the line. Once we got through security our flight posted as “boarding”. We got there in time but the unnecessary rush was uncomfortable and chaotic."

Ulemper: "Flight left vaguely late, air stewardess disappeared into the cockpit for 50 minutes. Hmm, I wonder what she was doing in the cockpit. Whatever she was doing she wasn’t helping the cart so I only got my food 20 mins before landing approach. Air pressure was weird too, nice American lady next to me had problems with her ears more than usual."

Anyone taller might not be able to get into the seat at all. There was a problem with the website so we couldn't check in online and we had tried to change our flight a few days earlier but the website again didn't work, we tried to call a call centre whose number was on there, didn't work."

Ulemper: "My husband was seated in row 2 and I was seated in row 29, even though there were many spare seats in blocks of two and three that we could have been sat in; then I was forced to put my carryon luggage in the hold, meaning I had to wait ages at the baggage reclaim on arrival, and was late for my air BnB check in. When I booked my flight I deliberately chose not to check any luggage, spent time planning what to take so that it would fit in a carryon bag, and measured out my liquids into small bottles so that they passed the liquids restrictions: all effort and time spent in vain due to Wizz Air. I was furious!"

However the number of large and heavy bags passengers brought on board last night was ridiculous . It was a real struggle for people to find lockers for.their bags. Some people had quite a few. Delays take off and creates unnecessary chaos. Couldn't understand why I had to pay to check in online, obviously missed that when bookrd. Although I recall reading that it will cost if you check in the airport- so most likely my error. No facility or button to print boarding pass once checked in. No contact us button - I would like to change seat I booked for return but cannot see how to do this on line."

Ridiculous. My wife and I were not seated together even though I booked both tickets together. The inexpensive upfront price of the flight is not worth it since they will trick you into paying in other ways."

Plus I think the pilot stepped on it, cause I think travel time was less than what was planned (I might be missing taxiing time though, so not sure)."
Ulemper: "Well, I can't say I wasn't entirely expecting this. There was over an hour and half delay. Nothing announced. We were in the dark. The plane didn't arrive on time, nothing announced. Boarding was delayed, nothing announced. When boarding was complete, there was an indefinite delay that was only announced quite a bit later. Anyway, the whole experience, including naming Charleroi airport as "South Brussels" is not something I intend to repeat."

At this point we were well into our trip and had to spend time finding a way to print out our boarding passes. Our flight was delayed by about an hour and a half and there was no one at the gate ahead of time that we could speak to. We also found out the day before our flight from a Blog that as passengers with US passports we had to get a stamp on our printed boarding pass prior to going through security. Had we not seen this on a random website we would not have known this either and would have showed up at the gate only to be turned away."
Fordeler: "If you are flying Iceland air it's for the great value, the friendly and courteous crew, and the chance to see the Icelandic landscape from the air. We did not try the food for sale."
Ulemper: "Boarding and transfers in Reykjavik can be quick and chaotic, leaving little to no time for the food purchases and bathroom stops you probably need. Also don't plan on having access to a large selection of current entertainment. Plan ahead."

Not many options to Sicily tho so you are at their mercy."

Ulemper: "Ryanair doesn't explain that boarding passes must be printed and that the phone pass is not ok. So upon arrival at the airport I am forced to pay Ryanair 15 euro to get a print copy. Ridiculous!! This information should be clear to the traveler on the website. It appears to be a cash grab on their part."
Fordeler: "First time on Ryanair. Probably ok if you are 25 and have no checked luggage. If it's only marginally more expensive, travel with another airline."
Ulemper: "I was told next time I have to be careful with my carry-on because I'd have to pay £50 otherwise. However, my carry-on is TSA approved, it has a lot of pockets so it may appear to be a bit bigger but I don't overstuff and I've had no issue getting my bag into the overhead bin. Granted, the officer was kind when she said it, but I also measured my bag and weighed it before my flight and I shouldn't feel there should be an issue with my bag. On my return flight I had souvenirs in my bag (meaning more in my SAME bag) and no one said a word about my carry-on."

Ulemper: "I had luggage that required I remove 2 kilos to be acceptable. The airline I flew before Ryan accepted the bag as it was within its limits (less than 23 kilos). THAT WAS REALLY ANNOYING. HOW ABOUT SELLING BAGGAGE THAT AGREES WITH THE STANDARD WEIGHT (50 ILBS OR 23 KILOGRAMS) INSTEAD OF 20?"

Ulemper: "1 and a quarter hours and 4 attempts to land on Bari airport. Information very poor. Capitain said due to air traffic issues (on Bari!?). Looked like we were having problems with the landing gear. Happy we made it."

Ulemper: "Check-in was a nightmare. I was on international travel with no PC, only phone and Ipad. I downloaded their ap on the phone, as they do not have an Ipad version. After tedious set up of account, I went through and completed the check-in procedure the day before the flight. However, when I attempted to download my boarding pass, the ap failed. I went to the airport 3 hours early. No attendant to be found so that problem could be resolved. less than 1.5 hours before the flight time, and after standing in line for 1 agent, I was told I could not be checked in, because I did not have a boarding pass, and I would have to purchase one from a service desk (different airline was providing service). The service agent said the Ryanair ap should have worked, and called them to request a waiver on the charge. They refused. I had to go back to the gate desk in order to check in, and very nearly missed my flight. Never again!"

Ulemper: "They have you stand in line 30 mins before the flight. By the time you board the plane, you're stiff and unhappy."

Ulemper: "They have fees for absolutely everything. They don't transfer checked luggage, so basically just don't check luggage if you're using Ryanair. Also be sure to print off your tickets, otherwise you get charged a lot extra. And they can't do any of the billing at the bag check desk - you have to go to a separate line for a separate desk. In summary, RyanAir is okay IF you print off your tickets and IF you don't have any checked bags and IF you have zero questions or concerns for them and IF you don't want anything from them at any point. Their tickets aren't cheap enough to warrant such terrible service."
Ulemper: "Beware! They will charge you 45 + pounds for each piece of luggage! Total chaos at the checkin counter."
Fordeler: "The flight and the crew was great and it was a really great flight. It was only a 2 hr flight so I did not eat and there wasn't any entertainment."
Ulemper: "SO MANY HIDDEN FEES!! I expected to pay for my bags but didn't know I would have to pay for my boarding pass or the seat as well!"

Fordeler: "This was my first time on Ryanair. The plane was no less comfortable than other standard planes I've been on. I didn't check a bag, I didn't buy any extras. I don't fly with cheap airlines in the US on principle based on the many horror stories I've heard, so I was a bit nervous about Ryanair. My trip was mostly very easy going though, so I really appreciated that I didn't end up paying what I'd saved on the ticket in some other way. All in all, I would say it was just fine. If you're going to fly around Europe with just some carry-ons, you'd be silly not to go with a budget airline. You're in the air for such a short time anyway!"
Ulemper: "Was really annoying to have to check in ahead of time and print my boarding pass at home, only to still have to stand in line to get the visa stamp as a US Passport holder. They should have a line for people checking in luggage and another for the stamp because it's really frustrating to wait 20+ minutes for a 10 second interaction. What's the point of self check-in if you still have to wait in line anyway?"
Fordeler: "Flight attendants look and act with great professionalism. Boarding line was orderly, which doesn't always occur."
Ulemper: "I had just flown in on another Ryanair flight where I had stored my roll-on in the overhead bin. For the next leg the gate agent said my bag must fit in the "If it fits your bag flies free" container. It did not fit and he ignored my observation that it had fit in the bin just 30 minutes prior (identical planes Boeing 737 800). He charged me 50 Euros, delayed boarding, but remained courteous throughout. My complaint is that the unequal sizes of overhead bins and size-gauge allows for caprice and introduces tension between customer and agent. He was within his guidelines but many bags were allowed on that would not have fit. So does the company wish to continue a practice that alienates customers and places extra stress on gate agents? I'll never fly Ryanair until they eliminate this shell game."
