A very new and modern hotel, it's huge compared to japanese standars. Take the Skyliner from the airport with the 3 day metro unlimited pass and you will arrive to Ueno station, two big blocks away like 4 min walking The breakfast is from 7 - 9 and i usually wake up at 9 !
location, room, facilities
This hotel is for the people who organise the trip them-self. The hotel doesn't have any staff. Only reception which works from 9 to 6 pm. There is a vacuum cleaner in the room which you can use to clear the room. If you need new towels, the toothpaste, the shampoo or something else you go to the reception your-self. Each room has a microwave, a cooking range, a sink, a fridge, a kettle and the dishes. You have the possibility to cook the easy food your-self. Very democratic hotel! Very small room! It's very crowded. You don't have any cupboard. Only some hangers. If you have a lot of clothes you have a probleme to place them in the room.
Rooms were small but management of the space was excellent. The kitchen was very well equipped. Toilet was clean and tidy. Bed was cosy. The locality was very nice. It was close to the city center and walking distance to Ueno Keisei station. Inaricho metro station was 3 minutes walk. Ironing facility should be available round the clock at the laundry.
there's a mini kitchen and a terrace. quite and well located the room is very small.
You cannot beat the location. The hotel is a few minutes' walk from the Ueno JR rail station and the Keisei station for the train to/from Narita airport. A subway stop is in the same building as the hotel. You can get to/from the hotel and these stations on foot either on pedestrian overpasses or underground. If you use the overpasses, there are elevators in case you are lugging suitcases around. The rooms are very small but impeccably clean and well equipped, and the beds are comfortable. Once windows and blinds are closed, you don't hear traffic. There is an Italian restaurant in the building that makes rather good food. They also make (mostly Japanese) breakfast, and there is a western-style coffee place right next to the hotel entrance.
The Location The Enterance
The location is very good, is near the subway station, is close to the city centre by subway. The rooms are very small and the staff can not speak English very well. They can not understand you.
The bathroom was not clean (e.g. floor).
Close to the stations, Skyliner to Ueno is very fast(45min), alots of shops close by for you warming up and last moment shopping before you leave the city. Staffs was helpful to me for whatever I ask. They have scale to weigh your luggage if you need, laptop to rent, laundry room on the second floor for few hundred yens. I also let few things delivered to the hotel, all on date and in perfect state. Not all staffs speak English, but they do have a few who do, so find the right one.
Good hotel but poor restaurant and in room service. Restaurant
All the hotel staff are great, they are very helpful!
Location, room, easy check in-out no english on air-con control board
There was a useful launderette in the hotel, the hotplate was induction - very modern. Quiet and peaceful. Good location with nice local restaurants near. They are a chain and have similar places all over Japan. Didn't realise this before. nothing
Location and helpfulness of staff Would have liked bedside lamps
I was surprise to see it has the kitchen facilities for each room which was one of the good point of this hotel. It was a demerit point that the lobby/office service finished at 6pm. In order to have a best service, 24/7 hours is inevitable.
Staff very friendly, room spotless, quiet backstreet in Ueno
The location is really great: walking distance from Ueno station and many local attractions (e.g. Ueno park, zoo, Ameyoko market). Also plenty of amenities nearby, such as restaurants and convenience stores. It was not as easy to find as I expected - be warned, the exterior info is mostly in Japanese and there is no big sign saying 'Hotel'! The check-in hours can be a bit of a nuisance too...
Clean, comfortable, perfect for what I wanted, would love to stay here again next time I'm in Tokyo!
The staff were so pleasant that at times I felt like it was home. They were always smiling, polite and informative. If there is a chance to visit Japan again. This will be my first choice. It was so close to everything eateries, shopping, bars and galleries. Great choice. I have no complaints. I was very satisfied. Actually I was so satisfied that I bought them a box of sweets in response to their kindness. Never did that before and I'm experienced traveller!
Good location. The level of cleanliness of the room was fair but it's better not to look into the details. Moreover, there is a vending machine and a microwave at some floors, and the microwave was absolutely disgusting. The room was the smallest I had during my trip in Japan and needs some painting and a new carpet. The breakfast is really average, plus it's not a buffet so you don't choose the quantity.
Clean nice hotel with great transport location - very near Ueno JR station. Great value for money.
Conveniently located next to multiple subway stations poor wifi
The hotel's location is great -- very close to the Ueno station. There's a great market nearby also. The hotel is small but clean, cute and efficient -- a great introduction to Japan and Japanese people. The breakfast is quite nice, although a small portion. I'd stay there again if I go to Tokyo once more. The hotel room is small, but so are almost all Tokyo hotels.
The room is excellent clean. The view of room also quite nice. overall is very good. The breakfast set is very limited choice, just 4 type of them.
Great location, a few hundred meters away from Ueno station, near a lively area for shopping. Great helpful staff. Nice room. Blanket on the bed was a little dirty. Breakfast was very small.
Clean Small and uncomfortable bed. We booked a room for two people. The bed was tiny. The room had only one set of towels. I think it was pretty clearly meant for 1 person. When I spoke with the front desk they insisted that no, it was for two and quickly brought up additional towels and such. But really, you can't sleep two people on a tiny bed. I literally walked the streets of Tokyo for most of the night so my wife could sleep. I won't be staying here again.
Very modern facilities and pleasant staff
Very close to the JR station, convenience store very convenient indeed. Not much space to hang clothes, but that was the case in every hotel I stayed at in Japan.
Very friendly and helpful staff, super comfortable room (although small, but this is normal for Tokyo) free laundry, and easy access to the convenience store. Asakusa-bashi is quite far away from a lot of the main areas of interest of Tokyo (Shibuya, Omotesando, Shinjuku) therefore you spend a lot on subway tickets. Also, the restaurants in the areas cater more to the Japanese and many don't have English menus, so there are limited options if you can't read Japanese.
Very convenient in terms of location, 24-hour store, free laundry facilities, free (wired) internet connection, very helpful staff, and has everything you need.
Proximity to railway station and very clean and modern hotel.
The front desk manager spoke english and was very helpful early staff did not speak english
The hotel´s location is perfect if you want to be near the JR Ueno train station and Skyliner train station. The rooms are very small, even compared with another hotels we stayed in Tokio. The relation price-room is not the best you could find in Tokio.
Great location - steps from Ueno Metro but very quiet. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The free internet computers in the lobby are very useful. Hotel is very clean and comfortable - looks recently renovated. Rate is excellent value. Double rooms are very small - very little room around the bed, with little room for bags (pack light). This is Tokyo though... Rooms with two beds are MUCH larger than doubles.
Good location, very helpful and friendly staff no
location is very suit, room is too small for 2 guests
About a 20-minute walk from JR Okachimachi Station, which is a 10-15 minute train ride on the Yamanote line from popular East Tokyo destinations like Akihabara, Ginza, and Asakusa. Hotel was easy to find and near cheap, but good food options, i.e. Chiyoda Sushi in the Satake strip. No free TV, but we weren't at the hotel much except to sleep. Smoking rooms had a strong smoke smell-- the don't guarantee your room type. And internet is via a LAN cable, but they provide you with one in the room.
Two of the staff spoke very good English and were very willing to help me with directions. Western style room. It is about what you would expect for a moderately priced hotel in Tokyo. The room was very close quarters.
I like very much !!
Staff is amazingly friendly, and service is excellent. Even gave a token of appreciation at end of stay. Staff can speak good english.
Nice choice for a not-so expensive hotel in Tokyo. Very simple but clean and with a very nice staff. There's free internet in the lobby and in the rooms. It's a couple of train/subway stations from downtown Tokyo and two blocks away from the station. Room smelled a bit of cigarette smoke the day I got there, but the problem is the japanese legislation, that allows people to smoke in hotel rooms. The next day the smell was gone.
Great location, close to JR line and subway. Helpful staff. Room was quite small and a bit claustrophobic after 5 nights but the hotel was great value for Tokyo, so would recommend.
It was easy to find, the staff is great, very helpful, try to learn some Japanese, though,if you want some more informations about the area. 100 points for the heater! Big...
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was close to the station. The bed was very comfy. The room & bathroom were a bit small, although I think it must be hard to get a large spacious room in Tokyo
Generally speaking, the staying is okay. The most important point is the cheap price.
The hotel is easy to access from airports. The room I stayed was very small space but comfortable and clean. I think for the price paid it is very recommendable.
The hotel is good value for money. For me most important: very clean! very friendly and helpful staff (thank you!), everything is well organized and the location is good to explore the city in all directions (subway in 2 min walking distance). Rooms and bathrooms are small - but then the hotel is comparatively low priced and - this is Tokyo!
