The view from the bar/restaurant on the top floor was outstanding! I thought the hotel was closer to Haneda Airport than it turned out to be.
Great rooms, with nice views. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Train station at the front door to the hotel. Big shopping centres next door. Far from the main areas of Tokyo (Shinjuku, Shibuya etc) roughley a 30 min train ride. There is a train station at the front door to the hotel which is very conveniant but this is not a JR station so if you have the JR pass you can not use it here.
spacious...... the housekeeping did not clean up the room well..... the many thing just like candy wrapper were still in the carpet.....
Shuttle service to Disney land. Room spacious and very good cleanliness. We booked four rooms (2 families) 4-5 months prior our arrival. The room arrangement given to us 2 rooms next to each other and the other 2 in different floor level. They aware each family going to occupy 2 rooms during our booking and yet they can't arrange the other 2 rooms next to each other or at least the same floor. Eventually the other family has to take the smoking rooms in order to stay next to each other. No smiling face from the male front desk staff.
The bayside view was the hoghlight of the room I cannot list a thing that I didn't like
Swimming pool was great. Nothing very much.
The attention to detail made the stay so much better.
High quality of service, wonderful bay view, rich variety of dining, excellent room service, staff professionalism
Staff was very helpful. Easy access to a lot of places walking, taxi, or train (close to shinbashi and Shiodome station). Breakfast was 25 dollars per person and did not include much. No good breakfast around. Very surprised that English proficiency of staff was not that good.
We found the staff extemely helpful especially the guest relations desk went out of their way to be of assistance. The rooms where very comfortable. I was going to move to a cheaper hotel, but the manager organised me a fabulous rate for the extra days, so I didn't move. No
The JR Suite was amazing. Love the high floors and view of Tokyo Tower. Customer Service at the front desk was excellent. After we paid for the upgraded suite we were a lot happier. Initial room was very small and they put us on the floor with the business and fitness area so people were in and out on that floor. Room was very very small where our 2 luggage would not fit. My GF kept on bumping her elbows into the shower door and the sink as there was no space in between for her to do her hair and make up. We had to upgrade to the JR. Suite at a very high price. The JR. Suite was an excellent room. We didn't need the living room area but it was a nice adder. What we were expecting was a bedroom similar to the JR suite bedroom but never got it on the regular booking. Concierge needs to look into what he's doing more. We asked about the Robot Restaurant and see about making reservations for that Saturday Night. He booked the reservations but didn't realize that payment up front is required. When we go to the place we were turned away as it was full and everyone had paid in full prior to arrival. When I tried to explain to him I don't think he spoke English well enough to understand. I was not mad at him as we understand we are in another country with a language barrier.
Housekeeping was good Kept clean Staff were mostly helpful Quiet Near Shimbashi and Shiodome Stations Amenities were good Airport Limousine to Narita At check-in we were told we needed to pay for a separate room as my mother and my sister together with me are considered too old to fit in one room with two double beds. They said a larger room would be available that could accommodate the three of us together the next day but we would have to pay an additional 330 USD per night of stay! Our flight landed 11 pm at Haneda by the time we got to the hotel it was already almost 12:30 am, we were exhausted! Renting an additional room also costed the same amount $330. That's the option we went with for at least a day. We then booked a second room online for the subsequent 5 days for only half the price they asked us for upfront. It made little sense from a business perspective if they had let us upgrade to a one bedroom that would release them of two smaller rooms that they can charge more for. Internet is slow especially at night, can barely read the news. Air conditioning was weak in one of our rooms, I was sweating a lot.
Convenient location, quiet and modern room. Free in-room lan connection. Very friendly, helpful staff. Iron only available in laundry room (so you have to bring your clothes there - no place to hang them while you iron several shirts...). I find that the room is expensive compared to the Park Hotel next door (which is more modern and larger rooms...).
i had booked a non-smoking suite. the room had clearly been smoked in - an air purifier was by the bed when i got to the room. not cool at all. the fact that there are still smoking rooms that can be 'changed' into non-smoking? plus, had an issue with business card request. hotel itself is beautiful but dealing with unexpected issues not very good-especially for the price.
This hotel is located in the tallest building in Tokyo and it offers incredible views of the city! The rooms are breathtaking and I have never experienced such incredible, all encompassing service. The concierge offered us the best sightseeing advice and we had one of the most memorable dinners in their Japanese Michelin Starred Restaurant. Oh and there's a fantastic 24hr Grocery Store located in the super posh MidTown Shopping Center adjacent to the hotel. I have to also say that compared to other Ritz-Carlton Hotels I have stayed at around the world... this is by far the best of their Hotels properties! What I didn't like was that we had to leave so soon...
The location and room size - very nice experiece and outstanding value for the rate provided by Priceline! The view bar was non-smoking, which is not common in Japan. Many patrons greatly prefer this, but I prefer at least one bar where I can enjoy a cigar.
Service - before, during, and after stay. Amenities. Location. View. Breakfast buffet was a bit over priced, but, food was good. Miso was overcooked. Could have used more 'free' fridge space. Should consider being a Disney 'Good Neighbor' hotel. Many hotel patrons had to use the train system and were caught in crowds.
The staff - extremely polite and helpful. Calls made to the front desk were answered promptly and items delivered within minutes. It entire experience was a total delight.
The room was large and had a good view of the bay. The hotel was not close to restaurants or shopping. Which was a problem because the hotel restaurants were quite expensive. The 'double' beds were too narrow for two people to share.
This hotel is about 20-30 minutes by walking/subway from major areas like Shinjuku, Asakusa, and Ueno Park - just need to be aware when planning your stay as it can make for long days.
Staff is really accommodating. Shuttle bus could be more often.
The club level was an additional $100 USD approximately. I thought $75 would be more appropriate for what you got. Very nice experience.
view, attention to detail, and service.
shuttle to closest train station. Great views of river. no
It was located right on the bay and we had a room with a view of the bay. It is on the outskirts of town, so not a lot going on near by.
Classic or dated, whatever your preference, but well maintained and spotless. Large rooms, for Japan. Staff is marvelous. Very close to the US Embassy and train stations. All staff speak English sufficient to get the job done. Booking through Kayak got a reasonable rate for Tokyo. Couldn't control the heat in the room, which was 79F. WiFi connects but can be erratic on mobile devices. Food in the hotel is outrageously expensive, but a 2 minute walk gets you to reasonable options. Gym is excellent but there is a substantial extra charge to use it.
I very much liked the authentic 50's modern hotel and interiors…in a great location in Tokyo near the American Embassy.
My November stay in Tokyo was switched from Okura Hotel to Sheraton Miyako Hotel, because Okura was demolished in May this year for a new hotel building to be reopened in 2018. So all the evaluations given here are for Miyako Hotel. The hotel is excellent, very roomy and update. It offers all what a ordinary traveler needs and beyond. Its location is great right in the middle of several subway stations, only Meguro station and takaniwa station are within walking distance. But, scheduled hotel buses taking hotel guests to Meguro and Shinagawa station is an excellent way to help hotel guests move around. Do your homework and find out what time the airport limousine bus can take you from airports to Miyako Hotel before you buy airline tickets. Because the bus schedule is very odd. I came to Miyako from Tokyo Haneda Airport, the airport limousine bus only runs twice in the morning and once in the late evening (Good for red eyed flight guests). If you come to the hotel any time between those schedules, you need to find out what is the nearest hotel or subway stations to Miyako the airport bus can take you to, then take taxi from there to Miyako.
The facility was great, the staff was very helpful, and the property is right next to public transportation. The food was pricey, there was no pool, and the district seemed more business oriented.
Hotel is connected directly to Shinegawa train/bus station and very near cafes, bars, shopping and convenience stores. Hotel staff was professional and great with answering questions about travel plans, recommendations, etc. Hotel design modern yet still very Japanese aesthetic.
I didn't spend much time in hotel but everything was OK. I like to drink coffee in the lobby and view from my room was fantastic - night Tokyo and Tokyo Tower. Very close to metro station and 5 min. on foot to Yamanote line. Additional "pro" Limousine bus to airport.
Extremely convenient location - walking distance to Ginza & Hibuya and fish market with easy access to subway & quick taxi trip to Roppongi NA
Great location (15mn walk from Ginza shopping area), very professional service, great rooms view (hotel reception located at the 25th floor, all rooms are from 26th floor and above)
wonderful place ! everything was just perfect.the location was a nice suprise - very cool neighborhood.
Location is convenient, bed was very comfortable, staff very friendly competent and helpful Pricey, bathtub a bit small
modern and well run - fantastic view from room breakfast was not included; paid more to check in a bit early; room was very small
Great property, great location. Staff is super helpfull
Excellent room with ample space. Good seperate beds, nice view. Price of breakfast is high (2500 Y). This is not uncommon for Tokyo but still too much.
Great city views, excelent location for ginza area and central tokyo
Smoking is allow at the lobby on the 25 floor and that turn me away from getting a drink at the reception / lobby
Nice staff. Every staff member of the hotel is very helpful. I will come and stay in this hotel again. The location of hotel is very convenient. Overall stay in the hotel I can say is wonderful. Location
Loved the clean room and the value for the money. Also the location was good (although it is in a business district) - but very nice to be able to walk to several eating choices without paying for the high meals in the hotel. We also found the Mini-Mart downstairs very convenient to buy water and snacks for our 4 year old. The hotel is very accessible to the subway - walkable with connecting under ground passages. We stayed here with a 4 year old child - and were able to get a baby cot that sat flush with our bed (open rail on one side) so the baby could sleep next to us (at no extra charge). Overall the staff were great, helpful and friendly. I have a minor criticism for the hotel - I gave a fair rating for the Hotel staff because of our experience with the Concierge. She does not have the personality to work on this desk - the many interactions I had with here were polite, but not friendly or she didn't go out of her way to make recommendations or be overly helpful. She had a bit of sour personality (very un-Japanese), made me feel like I was bothering her with my questions - and in my opinion that leaves a bad impression of the staff - when in fact everyone else was super nice. However being new to Tokyo the Concierge is the most important liaison to us as we depended on her advise to get around the city.
Overall, a pleasant stay. I was there on business and bought an extra room for my children. Clean, comfortable beds. I've had better breakfasts at other hotels. Very close to Shinagawa station. Quiet rooms and comfortable beds. Clean and pleasant. 7/11 in basement comes in handy for a late snack.
Hotel is located within walking distance to Shinagawa Station. Very nice garden and helpful staff. Have to pay to use the pool.
the staff at the hotel were very professional and very efficient. hotel overall is of excellent quality. it was more than what i have expected. N/A
The atmosphere in lobby (1st floor) and lounge (14th floor). The breakfastbuffe. Very small room. No restaurants in the area around.
Good location, with easy access to subway / JR rail stations. Walking distance to Tokyo Tower. Buffet breakfast had a mixture of Japanese and non Japanese options. Guest lounge and internet station are nice and quiet Rooms were small, even in comparison to other hotels during our Holiday in Japan.
Everything was very good.
Hotel staff were helpful, close to train stations, convenient location, clean small room, expensive
I was on a business trip visiting a company less than 2 blocks away so I couldn't beat the location. I got the normal room, which is small but had everything I needed. Rooms are modern and mine was clean. Hotel is dated. The lobby feels like the 70's or 80's and lacks a real bar reestaurant. The cafe in the lobby has a very limited menu of food and drink, particularly for breakfast. Would I stay here again? Yes for the same location/price balance I paid on this trip.
Value for money. Good breakfast. Airport limosinebus took much too long time from this hotel due to multiple stops. Faster/Better to go via nearby hotels with more daily departures and less stops underway.
The staff is incomparable (then again, Japanese people have standards no one else in the world has), they were so on the ball about everything, from questions about the city, to housekeeping and in room massages, that this hotel in the US would cost 550 a night, and I only paid around 200. Japan is on another level. The comparison between Japan and the United States, is that there is no comparison. Everything was perfect.
Hotel staff excellent. Room super clean very day!! Very good position near Metro and train station. Good base for a shopping tour of Tokyo .
I had a superior room which had plenty of space and a nice queen bed. Very modern room. The staff was very nice and very helpful with our bags. Nothing wish I could have stayed longer
Good location Friendly staff Immediately after we checked in to our room, my husband noticed an odor in the room and requested to change room. The staff was very responsive and put us in a different room right away. Unfortunately, the second room also had a very strong odor. It smelled like mildew. We just put up with the smell for the next 3 days :(
The room was always clean; the breakfasts were awesome; the staff very helpful I extended an extra night and the fee was pretty high. Like double that I got on Kayak
Close to train/subway station. Lot of places to get a meal. Perfect variety for breakfast. Staff very helpful. Room a little small but, good enough. Overall enjoyed my stay Bed was like a rock. Pillows filled with wooden pellets. But I slept well.
