The location is on a main road not far from the Dnieper River and the Paton bridge, two major land marks in Kiev that help foreign business travellers find the the hotel. The service was excellent. The restaurant is reliably high quality. The rooms are excellent in size, cleanliness and amenities. The park adjoining the hotel is a perfect place for a walk. The price is not cheap but the hotel is worth the slightly higher price.
nice, clean, 5 minutes from metro station Arsenalnaya. 5 minutes from kievo-pecherskaya Lavra! nice cafe on the 1st floor
There was a very nice view from the 6th floor where we were Coffee and tea were made available but it wasn't possible to get hot water until we asked for a kettle
Extremely bad employees, worst breakfast ever, etc
Hotellstandard litt over middels. Teppe på gulv. kunne sagt fra om dette og fått rom med parkett.
Helt ok. Plus for ideell beliggenhet ved hovedgaten. Minus for svært nedslitt baderom og støy fra air condition
I don’t like anything Every day laborers worked and made a lot of noise only could sleep at night.
Nothing I did not have access to the internet. Breakfest was awful. In general it was awful
Everything was quite comfort - whole design, furniture, enough space in the room. Breakfast - it was not a buffet, in this case I think it could be better to offer at least 2 sets of meals and ask for a choice.
The location was very central, close to several metro stations and within walking distance to a number of tourist attractions. The hotel is really more of a "mini hotel", on one floor in a building in a shopping centre. There was also at least one night club in the building and every night I could hear music from the club all night until early morning so did not sleep well. The included "buffet breakfast" was very light.
the hotel staff are so friendly and helpful and the location is fantastic the hotel still under preparation and the driller was knocking our heads every days we can't sleep well :(
Good location! Comfortable, clean hotel! Good design of the rooms! In Room type Junior Suite the window isn't open!
Internet access, simple but clean rooms, cheap but acceptable service, the stuff is helpfull The hotel is in the middle of renovating,to contact the stuff you must go upstairs to the reseption (no lift,no phone), no sound isolation ( you can hear neighbors coughing in the next room), the service is poor.It is the first hotel in my experience where the list of "the rules that guests must follow" is much longer then the list of the services available.
The hotel staff was very helpful. I paid double The Amount.AS I put all the card details on the website for reservation/booking.the money was deducted from the account even before I arrived.and on my arrival mr sergei green still asked for my card in order to swipe it to get his money.I Told him that it was necessary for him to swipe my card and he did.by this the bank charged me again. Please help on this.As I would continue using booking.com in the near future...Thanks
Very good price and computer with internet in the room. Very bad location and services in rooms.
place is a disaster!
Cheap hotel with the necessary amenities in a residential area. 25 minutes walk from the nearest metro station. I had my own car so hotel location was not a problem. And this, in a way, is not a classic hotel. It is placed in an apartement building in poor condition, but rooms are surprisingly comfy with good wired internet. This is not family hotel but very good value to stay in Kiev.
Take the over 1 hour to find a reservation, and it wasn't busy at all, looking like a motel Not hotel!
There was no hairdryer in the room, although the description says it does.
Location All other things in here
Is a great area to be a lot of people I and out Old, and all the worst thing in hotel, try for a day or just go look if it doesn't sound right. It says 4 stars, maybe 20 years ago, now no more then 2 and I was very generous .
Great location - heart of it all, on Maidon Staff weren't the most friendly!
Location Room furniture was really old Very bad wifi No tea or coffee in the room No kettle in the room Old carpets, blinds, bedding, towels (some literary have holes) Breakfast had yesterday's salads (lettuce leafs had brown spots)
The location, restaurant, staff was helpful, multi language, very clean and even as older hotel, had very good and visually pleasing architecture! I think is perfect for any type of travel! The cost was excellent, the location is perfect!! I really like the hotel!! Equivalent to most European good hotels!!The Internet Wi-Fi works ok!! The staff was amazing helpful to me!! They were exceptional as I needed to change my reservation and stay to attend an emergency with my daughter at home, they truly helped me with all the process and policy!! I will stay again! Twin beds, but I expected some local differences! The lifts are quite slow, but still a very good hotel!
Staff was unbelievably great
Rooms are stunning, Internet signals, beds, quite. Location is not that good to walk around. You would always need a taxi. Also, there was no bank office which would make it more convenient for guests. ATM gives only 2000 uah, there is only one machine there. Bar drinks are very expensive higher than what other 5 star hotels charge. Lobby is not good. Small and no working bar services. You must go to second floor for that !
The staff is amazing and they actually walk you to your room and show you how everything works. The location is great and not far from all the sights. It as a First Class stay for sure as the rooms are awesome.
The Staff are one of the most attentive and friendliest I encountered at a luxury Hotel in Europe. They definately know how to make a guest welcomed.
Nothing! Lights didn't work. Power points didn't work. Wi-fi didn't work. Shower went hot then cold then hot. Shower didn't drain and flooded the bathroom. Rooms are tiny. Bathroom is tiny.
Hotel staff Cleanliness of the room is terrible. Two days out of 4 they didn't clean my room. The hotel is under construction and workers start fron 8AM to 5PM. Was blocked outside of the hotel at 2AM for 20 minutes as the staff was sleeping. Well bellow standard! Will never recommend this hotel to anyone.
polite personal, convenient location breakfast not so good
Bed excellent, very big and comfortable. Big airy balcony, plenty of room for table and chairs but none provided.. Plenty of electrical sockets for phone chargers etc. Staff pleasant and helpfull. Clean and well decorated. Quiet location. Air conditioner unit, electric wall heater plus hotel heating system in room. Light switches glow in the dark. To reach the hotel from the street door you have to climb two flights of stairs, there is no lift. No fire escape plan in the room, or anywhere else that I could see. No "Exit/Emergency Exit" signs anywhere that I could see. If there was an emergency exit I never saw it, or signs leading to it. I booked a Junior Suite,. It was not a suite but a standard room. The room had only one chair, I asked for, and was given a second one. There was no way to hold up the shower head so you had to hold it yourself whilst showering. There was no shower curtain or rail for one, so the water went all over the floor. Breakfast, not enough seats, not enough utensils, not enough plates, not enough anything, tea was included but coffee cost extra.
Good quality price, located not far from center, good quality of bed, bif space and totally new. Half of hotel in reconstructions, procedures not clear (my room was without towels), and because it's very small breakfast for poor.
Relatively new hotel, some English-speaking staff, good location. Prompt room service. Many electric outlets. Room air conditioning would not work after repeated complaints. Too hot to sleep, opened window to cool room, then street noise too loud(cobblestone streets). Had to cut trip short, they would not put me in other room, nor refund any unused days.. Very expensive. Does not deserve 4 stars. No bidet.
The staff at the City Hotel was excellent. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Any requests for assistance came with a smile. The food in the restaurant was very good and served tastefully. The location made it easy to walk and explore Kiev. Overall it was.a very pleasant experience.
This Hotel sits back from the main road within a courtyard arrangement. City / road noise is vertually non-existant. The hotel staff are without doubt - some of the most professional, helpful and kind - that i have ever met. The cost.
quiet rooms; friendly hotel employees; English speaking reception; WiFi included, breakfast included. small dining room for breakfast; no restaurant for dinner; sunday without cleaning the room; narrow rooms, cramped lift and corridor.
The hotel was an oasis in the city, had a very peacuful atmosphere, and had somewhat design style. It was located such a way that no street noise neither street lights could disturb the silence. The personnel was very helpful, friendly and professional. Additional advantage that the hotel had only 24 rooms or so, no noise in the corridors, nor people hanging in the bar etc. I travel a lot for my work, but this is absolute the best hotel I was ever in. It really enjoyed to be there.
quiet place, to sleep no
Good small clean hotel
