Very friendly people, nice breakfast, beautiful japanese style hotel and location was the best.
The lacation was good - close to subway almost everything. Their included breaast was reasonable and the presentation, like all Japanese production, was good. I thin it‘s a bit over priced - a night for ￥12,000 is the most expensive I ever had in this trip but it was not the best one ever without factoring in the price. I would say it`s good for last minute backup.
I chose Sakura Ryokan because I wanted to say in a place that is abit more local and quiet. Thats what I got. It is run by Suzuki san and his whole family stays there as well. It got this homely family feel which I like... and it is very near kappanbashi which is a whole street of kitchen tools items and frequented by the chefs.
japanese style room, tea available, lobby with karge tables in fact no
The people at Annex Katsutaro Ryokan were super helpful and friendly. They can help you to get around to see the sights and the location is within a short walking distance of the bus and subway. There are several good restaurants in the area and lots of cute little shops. It is kind of in a artsy area so I liked that a lot. I was very impressed with this Ryokan, it was a very nice place to stay for my first time in Japan. I didn't know that Ryokans usually don't have heat. It was cold at night but they gave me an extra blanket.
