the staff always had been very friendly and helpful, In the lobby there is the pond with the koicarps, which is very beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and the service is efficient, courteous and friendly
The front staff was wonderful! The pillows were too soft. Too far from Metro.
Free Food Too close to that damnable institution.Hated walking through GWU on every trip to the mall.Get rid of those those idiot kids hanging around. From what I saw an education looks far fetched for those imbecils, maybe its all about a good brain washing anyway.
Great hotel in a great location. Staff, breakfast, evening cocktails and rooms were great. Overall quality of hotel was excellent.
spacious, clean and very comfortable room; nice and pleasant hotel setting few and slow elevators; families with kids all over
We appreciated the locaction, nice neighborhood and its easy access to the metro and restaurants. We also enjoyed the convenience of having breakfast basically outside our door, and a good breakfast at that. Enjoyed our stay, Everyone was cordial, especially Mark, The only concern was the air quality in the rooms. When we would return from an outing the rooms seemed to have a dry stall odor to them.
Very clean room and cordial staff.
Nice hotel, located in a convenient location. Huge rooms. Good breakfast. Expensive internet connection.
Free continental breakfast, free snacks and drinks in the evening, spacious rooms, friendly staff. We were stuck there in a blizzard and still managed to have a great time! Having a suite allowed us a lot of freedom since we were traveling with a toddler that has an early bedtime. Nothing.
God frokost med hyggelig betjening. Betjeningen i resepsjonen kunne vært hyggeligere og utadvendte.
Stort, komfortabelt rom med herlige senger. Rent og ordentlig. Hyggelig og hjelpsomt resepsjons-personale. Fin beliggenhet. Kommer gjerne tilbake! Frokost-utvalget kunne vært bedre. Det lønner seg nok å komme relativt tidlig til frokost, for at det ikke skal være slutt på enkelte matvarer.
Beliggenhet og rommet Høy pris
Good location, helpful staff poor plumbing, below average food and very high cost of room service
My room was very nice and well maintained by the housekeeping staff. The front of house staff were also very cordial. Charging $12.95 per day for internet service is unreasonable, based on the room rate we were charged.
good location, nice staff
Comfortable beds and attentive front desk staff. Some inattention to housekeeping in a room with a Murphy bed.
The location The price
The staff was great and the room was very nice. The breakfast was terrific much better than expected for $1.Ut was a overall great experenice.
good facilities;helpful staff had to request tea/coffee maker and a refrigerator coffee/milk supplies not replenished daily
Rooms needed to be dusted. Mini bar is electronic and not a refrigerator; DO NOT TOUCH or you will be charged.
It was so busy/ room service was 30 minutes later
very attentive staff and very positive feeling
very helpful concierge. Decent location
Valet parking was extremely slow and expensive
In DC near DuPont circle, but quiet on weekend days. Price of room offers decent value. Super expensive parking, $55/day. Not in the heart of the action in DC.
The beds are remarkably comfortable. The staff is affable and efficient. My wife left her jewelry in the room. We called once we were home and spoke to Doris. She found the jewelry and called us back right away and will mail the jewelry to us. OVERALL 5 STARS.
Very Clean Comfortable beds
60 dollars for valet parking no other option
Very quiet, clean, love the bed!! Great shower Parking options,40 dollars for valet and limited alternatives
Good customer service Very expensive hotel. The movies in the rooms are 20$ each. No HBO or any good channels really. Restaurant in the hotel is outrageously expensive (making room service also very expensive). 10$ for bowl of cereal, 25$ for shorts tack of pancakes. Food is really bad too. Like surprisingly very bad. Soggy fries, Bad salads, sandwiches, pizzas
I liked the late check out option. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was very clean. The front desk attempted to charge me for wifi even though my reservation included wifi. They expected me to pay or go out to use the public library in the common areas. After a visit back down to the front desk they provided me with an access code.
Good deal for the price Expensive car valet and shower heads were in need of repair. Water temp fluctuated too much. I spent more time adjusting it rather than showering
Location The staff (including management) did not respond adequately to their system being down during check in. Problems like that are expected but management did not issue an apology to all guests waiting in line for 30+ minutes and did not show the urgency to find an alternate way to check in all the guests affected by the hotel's system outage.
Overall the property was excellent! A foul order in ventilation system.
no self-parking. valet parking only. when I tried to do valet parking, they didn't allow me to do it.
Friendly, attentive staff. Clean rooms and facilities. Location is within walking distance of many places to eat and a short ride from the national mall. Would stay again. Very cold lobby/restaurant/bar area. Thermostat in room kept malfunctioning. The maintenance guy brought us a space heater at one point. Requested shampoo at one point and three different staff people delivered some three separate times. Very friendly, but obviously some lack of communication. Staff was very apologetic about the thermostat and offered us a variety of comps.
It was right downtown near the white house and monuments, so we could walk everywhere Everything closes down so it's hard to find a late night restaurant or pharmacy
The hotel was very nice and extremely close to all the sites (just blocks from the White House). The room, service, and location were far above what I would expect for the price. Would stay here again and will recommend to anyone visiting the DC area.
Staff very helpfil. Close to DC metro and attraction
Staff amazing and SO CLOSE to Everything! Also, very easy to Metro and DCA.
Excellent location for much of downtown DC. Around Midnight my room filled with old cigarette smoke as someone began smoking in the stairwell. The air quality overall in my particular room was poor, requiring the windows to be opened as much as possible. This of course made it difficult to sleep as the city sounds in DC near The White House are loud and replete with sirens 24/seven. Normally, one might cover one's ears to have silence. However, at this hotel the pillows are the size for small children.
The location and comfort here is great! Overall very good value!! The room was a little tight. Room had empty box of tissues, could of been a bit cleaner, dust.
This is a luxury hotel for an unbelievable price. The hotel is centrally located to about everything you want to see or do. What first caught our attention is the fact that you can look down the street and see the White House just a few short blocks away. Yes, there are a lot of hotels in Washington D.C., but if you are looking for a GREAT hotel at an unequaled price, this is it. This would be our first choice when returning to Washington DC. There was nothing not to like about this hotel.
The room was made up in typical Hilton style with decent bedding/bathroom stuff. This hotels has seen better days. One of the elevators was out of service (seemingly for a long time - a piece of tape covering the outside) the button to the elevator was cracked, and the whole thign was worryingly slowly and creaky. The room itself smelled musty - like it hadn't been aired out in years. Outside the window was the HVAC system which was *loud*. It was a crazy-horrible room. My best guess is that because Kayak booked the room through Priceline Hilton felt it was okay to give me the worst room they could find. I checked out immediately and went to another hotel nearby for the same price, but with a much nicer room and hotel in general.
Location is ideal for seeing the museums and monuments. Lobby and restaurant staff are warm and welcoming. If you forget to tip housekeeping each morning, don't expect clean towels.
Nice lobby, courteous staff, comfortable bed. Tiny gym, mold in the bathroom grout, room amenities were average, surprising amount of wear and tear in our room for a hotel in this category.
Very clean, quiet and accommodating.
Overall, a nice hotel and had a good stay. I especially enjoyed the gym, which was the best hotel gym I've ever tried - had a lifting platform, power racks, and dumbbells going up to 120 lbs. My only complaint would be the daily parking fee, nearly $50 a day. Nearby garages seemed to be charging $20-$25 a day.
Overall hotel was in great condition and price was right. Wireless charge of like $15 is ridiculous in this day and age.
Near perfect stay Everything very pricey, but not out of line with the area.
Clean and professional
Good location Several smokers on our floor.
Facility was quiet, clean and showed a high level of attention to detail. Concierge was very helpful for dinner recommendations and provided a perfect location that was not readily found via standard web based search. Gym staff was inattentive and actually were playing 2 types of music very loudly at the same time!
From the staff to the amenities, enjoyed the room, restaurant and proximity in DC. WiFi in room should be free and food pricey.
Very nice hotel. Lobby was well designed and appealing. Room was spacious and welcoming No major dislikes.
Extremely impressed by staff, facilities, comfort, cleanliness and overall level of quality.
Great location. Very clean room and bathroom. Great ambiance in the area. The air conditioner in the room would keep automatically changing to the heater setting.
Decent room, nice lobby, comfortable bed slow, to non-existent service in the lobby lounge, room wasnt ready until after 4PM. Rooms are smaller in size, and bathroom is not of the caliber of a 5 star hotel
We absolutely loved our stay at The Mayflower. My husband and I were there to renew our vows on our anniversary and the staff were extremely welcoming, making sure our room was ready several hours before normal heck-in hours so that we could get dressed and off to the ceremony in time. I can't think of a single thing that was less than exemplary- the loveliest hotel in DC!
Beautiful lobby, great DC location, helpful staff, lovely room. A value I don't understand but was happy to have. Lovely room. It was great! As a group we did not enjoy breakfast in the restaurant.
The staff was very freindly and attentive and the hotel itself is beautiful. The fitness center was impressive. There was no wi-fi availbale in our room and we had to pay 13$ per day for internet acess.
incredible suite for the price... they tried to put me in a regular dbl room when I checked in! Reminded them I had booked and been confirmed by their reservations mgr for a suite with 2 dbl beds.
I came in at 4 and there was no water or mini-bar in the room. They told me that if I wanted a Diet Coke I would need to wait until room service was open at 5. In the morning, they didn't fill the breakfast order -- said they didn't get it. This for $400 a night? Hardly 4 star service.
Location was great. Wonderful room. Two good restaurants with great staff but a bit expensive. All staff members were great! Fitness room was available even in this boutique setting. My son lost his stuffed animal while we were there and they left a new one in the room for him - it made him very happy (they later found his but let him keep the new one, "Freddie". Restaurant was too expensive, especially for breakfast. Fitness room was a bit small.
The room was lovely, and the staff was courteous, helpful and efficient.
Outstanding service and courtesy were the hallmarks of our stay here. The room was immaculate and well cared for. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to see and do. The conceirge was outstanding in his helpfulness. No coffee maker in the room, yikes, missed that first, fast heart- starting cup.
Very comfortable and pleasant stay . Excellent service and perfect location.
friendly staff,premium location.
Everything about the hotel was fantastic, the staff were very courteous and helpful and all made a point of knowing my 7 year old son's name. Not applicable.
As of Aug 31, the lobby was undergoing renovations. I didn't know that prior to my arrival. Not a big deal, my room was perfect. Just a heads up for future goers. Valet parking was $45/day, but you can come and go as you please. They do have self parking that's a bit cheaper. Pick your poison.
Responsiveness of the staff Attempt to park in such a small area
Central location to shops and restuarants. No real negatives.
location, however many other hotels in the area. Very comfortable bed. Large Bathroom. Small room. But overpriced.
The staff of the hotel is excellent.
Our room was nicely appointed and well designed. The staff, although limited in numbers, were very nice and accomodating. We were happy to have a quiet room, as requested, with a super comfortable bed with beautiful linens. I wish every hotel experience was this great! I have to mention the perfect location for sightseeing, walking and shopping.
wonderful hotel, nice room with a beautiful bathroom. walking distance to lincoln memorial etc pary at the square below was kinda noisy
Friendliness of the staff. The room was very nice for the price. Overall we were very pleased with our overall experience at the Westin and would definitely stay there again or recommend it to other travelers. The breakfast buffet should have included stock in the hotel for the price charged. The price was way too high. We had dinner in the hotel also and the price was quite reasonable and the food very good; which is part of the reason we were so shocked when our breakfast buffets cost nearly as much as our dinner the night before.
Very close to Georgetown. Also the bed was very comfortable!
I loved the location Renovations starting at 8am (ie- removing tile from the room above us). We did not have working water for over 12 hours!!! Our final bill had a $500 charge for our last night's stay.
Signed up for a 3 person hotel room - was changed an extra $20 for a double bed attached to a dolly so that we all had a place to sleep....I guess the room can fit three but not the beds...beware. The concierge asked "will all three of you be sleeping in the king size bed?" I said "No, of course not. I signed up for a 3 person room..." anyway lost $20....
The cleanliness and comfortable atmosphere. Relatively small lobby when compared to other Westin's.
Impeccable service and great location.
The staff were extreamly helpful and went out of their way to make sure our stay was a very good expericance.
The staff was very friendly and knew our names quickly.
very friendly staff and clean room with good linen.location is convenient room too small
The staff are great and go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Meticulously clean.
- Facilities were great - Hotel rooms comfortable and spacious - Very nice Gym facilities - Front desk staff very welcoming and corporative - Room wasn't ready on time - Staff in lobby area; not so friendly - Corridors were very warm
The location 24 hr coffee station clean rooms Small room configured & supplied for the single business traveler. One bath towel 4 the family.
Well maintained older hotel convenient to restaurants and tourist attractions. Nice linens and towels. Great cocktail lounge. Friendly and welcoming service. Street noise; will bring earplugs next time.
The staff was warm and welcoming from the moment I stepped through the door with my 12 year old. I detest the hold hotels put on your credit card and don't release for days and was told I could pay the $50 incidental in cash (which I received back at checkout before the housekeeper had even cleaned the room). The room was indeed small with only 1 bed which would have been a problem if I hadn't been traveling with family. However, it was clean, along with the bathroom. I did whack my elbow against the wall as I was showering as the stall was a bit cramped. We received great instructions on how to make our way to the White House and monuments - - all within walking distance. We finished our running around a bit early so we took advantage of the 2nd floor lounge for about a half hour before heading back to Union Station. There was an industrial coffee/espresso/cappuccino maker, tea bags, newspapers, a big screen tv set to CNN, a charging station, computers etc. The rooms are too small for friends to convene comfortably so the lounge is a nice spot. Convenience: A block away from the Circulator, a block away from the Farragut North and Farragut West station (it is actually on top of the Farragut West station, however, the entrance is closed so it's necessary to walk to the other side a block down). The complimentary bottled water saved us some money and we surely took advantage. The shower was uncomfortably small for a tall lanky person like me. Whacking my elbow against the wall isn't something I expect to happen in a hotel (usually hotel bathrooms are more comfy than my micro bathroom at home in NYC). Also, the room did not have a mini fridge which would have been nice for our leftovers. The hotel is downtown so the area at night is sparse (still feels safe though). You'll need to take a little walk to find some good breakfast if you set out early on a weekend because the nearby places are either never open on the weekends or only open closer to 9 am.
it's a great place to stay. two blooks and you can say hello to the president! I got a very big, clean room with wifi and a hd-tv. the neigherhood was very quiet. it takes only two minutes to the next metro station. you'll get free botteled water at the vending machine! i really love that place! -
Close to public transport and shops. Windows don't open. Small niggle.
food and service was good My husband and i were given an end corner room 302 that was way to small and gave a confined effect. We spent as much time out of the room as possible. Parking was also difficult due to lack of easy access to our vehicle asit was in an underground garrage.
We went to DC to celebrate my husband's birthday for a long weekend. We looked for a long time online and a lot of the offering was overpriced for the amenities available. The Club Quarters was a great find!!!! The staff was very helpful throughout our stay. There is an espresso bar on the 2nd floor!! We were a few blocks from all the greatest attractions, walked to every site. Never had to take a cab or the Metro. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will come back. We found a gem in D.C. and will be recommending it to our family and friends.
Excellent hotel in the business district located next to two metro stops (red and orange/blue lines). Two blocks from the White House. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking wasn't overly convenient. The room we had was on the second floor and outside noise could be a problem.
Comfortable, clean, good value for money, free wireless internet Restaurant opens a little late, 8am, at weekends for breakfast.
The location for downtown dc couldn't be better, and staff was excellent and very helpful Room was small but for the price value of everything else it didn't matter
We were in DC to visit our son at GWH. Clean and efficient. Perfect location to the occasion. The bed could have been positioned 90° to the 8' room width.
Staff and free snacks were great. Nothing
The hotel in a very nice location and the room very comfort. they give to me Room No 403 we can't sleep because of the noise of the air-condations from out side. and the hotel staff are not frindly
Service was excellent They changed me an extra 200 dollars when I checked into the hotel, despite prepaying on Kayak
Location. Easy walk to many attractions as well as to my business destination.
Great bed, nice, modern room. Amazing location. Our room had a view of a brick wall, very disappointing. The room service was very poor and very expensive. Travel channel fans, don't come here expecting an amazing sandwich, it is no longer available.
Great location also amazing views ,fun staff and lobby had nice vibe turns into social setting with a DJ When I arrived was able to get a room right away as requested but it didn't have a view . And had ask the guy that was checking me in if I had a view he says yes I do , I walk in to my room it was a room facing the inside I of the building no view very disappointing so went back down and young lady was able to get us a much nicer room very happy . During the evening they have DJ in the lobby so when out all day and came back you requested your room key in order to get in the hotel not happy about that
Location was great. Checkout was advertised as 3:00 PM, We were not able to check into our room until 5:00. When we did check-in we had already pre-paid for a Fabulous Room, but the staff member that was checking us in recommended we switch to a Spectacular Room since we had a young child. He said the Fabulous Room would be too loud due to the location of being on the top floor under the bar. We agreed to change rooms, but were only offered breakfast vouchers which we knew we wouldn't use. After we walked away my husband said he felt like the guy was a used car salesman and that we got played. We went back to the desk and dealt with another employee (Harry) and he switched us back to our original room and said that the room was not that loud.
being able to store my bike for 12 hours! free breakfast
Great location near Georgetown and Foggy Bottom metro.
comfortable rooms and quiet
Comfortable room with nice amenities. It was nice to have breakfast in the hotel before going off to my conference where they were only offering danish and coffee. Only one elevator was working.
The breakfast was awesome! The room was clean and had lots of space. Good value!
Good price for where I needed to be.
It was close to K street and lots of restaurants. The room was large and good for working. Curtains were FILTHY!. Sofa was old and brokendown. Wifi did not work and staff did not seem to care to be helpful. Only one elevator was working still. I will never willing stay there again.
Spaciousness of room + the kitchen facilities Breakfast menu all a bit too sweet for British tastes!
Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient for a wide range of restaurants in terms of both price and cuisine styles. City open topped sightseeing bus stops within yards of the hotel and that bus links to other tours for a 48hr one off charge. For the fit the hotel is only a few minutes from Pennsylvania Avenue and around 30 minutes walk to The White House. Parking would only be economic if you would use it regurlarly. The sightseeing bus is on a route where they are infrequent - miss one and wait 45mins for the next. The 'complementary' breakfast is in a room which is cramped. During our stay the elevators were unreliable but only caused a delay.
Location is in the downtown with lots of things to see round - downtown is 10 minutes away, Wholefoods is close by, restaurants, Starbucks, etc. The facility is pretty old and used, the rooms are very small. I had a corner room, with so little space like in the hostel. There was an unpleasant smell of coffee in the room, which stroke me from the moment I entered the room. Breakfasts are OK, but the sausages were out by the time I came down for breakfast and nobody seemed to re-fill them.
The location was excellent and the price was good value. Everything was in walking distance and the room size was very good for family.

It was excellent clean and good amenities. They also upgraded to a suite upon arrival which was nice.
Awesome service. 5-star service. Organic restaurant on-site.
Very comfortable, room layout was very well put together. I especially liked the half bathroom! I love modern interior design, which this hotel has; however, we have a 21 month baby and the sharp corners on tables and furniture pieces makes it a dangerous environment for a walking toddler
Bathroom and toiletries. Bed and linens. Location is nice, but not walkable to tourist destinations.

The front desk staff was the most amazing staff I have ever encountered in my travel experience. Hotel employee was friendly, funny, welcoming, and professional all at the same time. This hotel is in a very nice neighborhood that I highly recomm
Excellent customer service
The staff was excellent. We were upgraded to a really beautiful room. They were very friendly, helpful, and professional.
