Loved that our pup was welcome Did not like paying $36 a day for parking
Nothing This is by far the worst hotel I've ever been in! The room, (505) was so small that I think they had to build the room around the bed. It was so small that the bathroom had to have a sliding door. I truly don't believe a normal door would be able to open / close. The air conditioning didn't work and the overall area seemed seedy. Numerous bailed bond companies with likely clients in the area. When I asked about the area the clerk advised, "Just stay on Broaday."
Enjoyed our stay with our 5 yr old. Very courteous staff, local amenities, and close Seaport Village and other site seeing entertainment. Now a favorite, will definitely stay again in the near future.
Location Beds were terrible and room was small
Had booked a skyline room and upon arrival front desk told us they had overbooked and put us in a huge skyline suite. Courteous staff, awesome room with a great view and walking distance to all the nightlife in gas lamp. Will be coming back soon
Hotel is in a great location, bed was nice, as was the decor. Last two nights there, the lobby smelled like a stadium bathroom, staff was not helpful upon checking in, the front door to the hotel has to be the most awkward door I have ever seen on a hotel. Also, instead of having an actual door on the bathroom, they have a sliding glass door. Just a word of warning, if you have a knock at the door and someone is in the shower be sure to pull the door closed because you can see straight into the shower from the entryway. That is poor planning and inexperience. I would not stay here again nor recommend to anyone.
The fitness center/spa is amazing!! Great location Although location is amazing, was kind of loud
As mentioned, the location is excellent for walking around Little Italy and the Gaslamp district. The staff are friendly and helpful. I like the showers as they are quite spacious and can function as a mini-tub. Overall it was a clean and comfortable environment. The room was aligned with the light rail. Every time a train left the adjacent station, the conductor tested the horn. It was too much noise for the hotel not to give us a heads up. Two stars for this "oversight".
The room was very spacious, I loved it. I also loved how many mirrors were in the room, many hotels lack mirrors, but this place has that covered. I didn't like how small the shower was. The central air was not working in the common areas, which I assume is not something that happens all the time, so I am not putting too much emphasis on that, however it was excessively hot even riding the elevator or just walking down the hallways.. Enough that I walked at a more rapid pace to get outside faster.
The pool was closed. The door was boring. Nothing to do at the hotel. Basically walked in and out of the hotel and paid $30 each day for parking. There's much more fun and intriguing hotels else were. I was born and raised in San Diego and visit often in hotel stays. This definitely isn't a vibe I'd like to stay in again.
Great location and near Gaslamp!
When I called to ask a simple question about the parking. A snobby person answered and it sounded like they were forced to talk to me. He wasn't genuinely friendly and didn't make me feel comfortable to stay at your hotel. You Need to improve on bettering your customer service.
Cute place. They did their best giving it a garden feel with all the plants they had. The breakfast was good and the rooms were clean. Not a fan of paying for parking but I understand it is downtown. Also was woken up a couple times by sirens and honking, but again, it is downtown.
This Best Western Motel (BW) is about 1 mile from the Gaslamp District. The area is less than desirable, no easily accessible restaurants, and very noisy. Rooms are small old, and dingy. Manager was unpleasant. Poor value for $$; will not ever return.
the room was clean the staff were nice paying 15.00 to park would have rather they added it to the price, than as a side charge.
Parking fee was not included and it was $15/night
