Fordeler: Everything except the bedroom was dark! Needs more lighting!

Fordeler: Everything - just perfect

Ulemper: The bedsheets. They don’t have a duvet and we have to put a blanket on top. This makes the bed sheets very heavy and not comfortable as it slides down all the time and we have to pull it back to the bed all night. It was horrible and. It’s not up to the international standard. The staff are friendly but some are lack of experience of international top hotel standards. Communications between different teams are not very smooth. Examples: 1. When we checked in we asked the lady to book a table at the Moroccan restaurant for the same evening and when we arrived at the restaurant they didn’t have our reservations and had to check for quite a while to confirm that. As hotel guests of the best hotel in the world this is not acceptable. 2. I asked for something from the reception to be sent to our room and it took them 3 times to finally get it right. Seems that the reception and the house keeping don’t understand each other. 3. We came back late at 8 pm one day from the mountains and we had a shower in the room before going to the French restaurant for dinner. Before we went for dinner we turned off the DND sign as a signal for housekeeping to clean the room but it want not done when we came back from dinner. Why don’t they have a ‘clean the room’ sign if they are not efficient enough? 4. We requested for a late check out and they said we can check out at 2 pm. At 1230 they called us and said that the next guests have arrived and wanted us to move out right away! Otherwise the room is spectacular. They just need more training and more exposures to the top top hospitality standards of the world. My expectations were very high because of their ranking and the price.

Fordeler: The staff are amazing and location is perfect, yet quiet.

Ulemper: The beds where very hard, though in Marrakech, you only need somewhere to sleep, there’s so much to do

Fordeler: Terrific location (right at edge of main square.) Great oasis around the chaos - but super convenient to all the Medinas and key sites. Great facility, wonderful breakfast, and nice views from 2nd and 3rd floor roof decks.

Fordeler: Fantastisk beliggenhet, rett med markede. Basseng på taket til å slappe av.

Fordeler: Straight in the heart of Marrakesh. Helpful staffs. Beautiful decor. Spacious room.

Fordeler: Everything was super! I enjoyed my stay and the next time I will visit Marrakech I will definitely choose to stay again at the Ryad Art Place!

Ulemper: The interior design and the location!!

Fordeler: Staff were very courteous and helpful. Location is perfect for getting to most of the main tourist attractions in Marrakesh.

Fordeler: Staying in this hotel took my imagination hundreds of years back into the past history of Morocco. Everything, every corner smells the atmosphere of traditional culture of Marrakech.

Ulemper: I liked every minute spent in this amazing hotel.

Fordeler: Lovely welcoming helpful staff. Staff couldn’t do enough to help you - always willing to offer advice. Excellent location right next to jema el fna square Excellent range of food for breakfast. Catering staff very friendly and helpful.

Ulemper: A little overpriced compared to other Riads but honestly the extra money was worth it because of location - so convenient as walking distance to most of the main attractions.

Ulemper: Very poor breakfast, the food was dry and didn’t have a taste to it.

Fordeler: Good location and good facilities

Ulemper: Decor was a little sombre & dark in the corridors of the more modern side but the traditional side was great

Fordeler: Very kind staff, good location

Ulemper: It was so beautiful, and the birthday surprise will remain a lifelong memory.

Fordeler: This is a beautiful property with a huge staff

Ulemper: Despite their large number of staff and a wonderful property the constant inattention to details adversely affected my stay. A constant ‘we will deal with this later ‘ meant that no one accepted responsibility. Even a car service provided by the hotel was inexcusably late - maintenance issues in rooms were neglected and spoiled milk served at breakfast. Paying for quality presumes a quality delivered and I was most disappointed.

Fordeler: Perfect service everywhere. In room, in spa, around the pool, specially on reception.

Fordeler: My booking was upgraded and I got huge Suite for 2 nights. Little bit old but absolutely perfect hotel. Sofitel Lounge and Spa is more new than Sofitel Palais Imperial. Both hotels are placed in one location. In Sofitel Palais Imperial is best service ever! The staff is welcoming and friendly, everyone smiles at you and goes out of their way to make your stay perfect. Comfortable bed and pillows. Very good spa. Very good indoor and outdoor warm pools. Many thanks for waiters near pool Mrs. Karima and Mr. Muhta! And specially thanks for manager Mrs. Iman! It was pleasure to stay in your hotel!

Ulemper: Little bit old rooms but renovation is coming.

Fordeler: Breakfast was terrible Fruits were rotting Ok let’s worry bad

Fordeler: The location was superb and the staff and facilities were superb.

Ulemper: The rooms look very tired. Need to be refurbished asap.

Fordeler: Fantastisk frokost og personalet.

Fordeler: Great location in the Médina, but not accessible by car (about 400m, not far). The riad is quiet and peaceful. Facilities are extremely clean. It’s a hostel, but the best I’ve ever seen. Laundry is available, staff had great recommendations and was professional and polite. Highly recommend. We booked a twin with private bathroom.

Ulemper: Rooms need more soundproofing. We were woken up by our neighbors in the middle of the night who didn’t stop talking and moving things around.

Fordeler: The staff were great, particularly the girl behind the downstairs bar (sorry, not sure of your name!) and the cleaning team (super clean hostel!!). Liked that the bar served meals, so you could choose to go out or stay in. Good cheap breakfast, for those who wanted it. Good door to door airport transfer service. Nice big lockable lockers and swipe card system on the dorm room doors.

Ulemper: Not very much privacy in the ensuite bathroom facilities (shower curtains rather than doors). Booked a tour, which had multiple unadvertised stops, which made the drive to the destination very long.

Fordeler: Veldig hyggelig og hjelpsomt personale. Utmerket beliggenhet midt i Medina, og nærme alt. Kjempefint bassengområde.

Ulemper: Litt ustabilt internett, men ikke mye annet jeg mislikte.

Fordeler: The staffs here are very nice and helpful, and the room is quite clean as well

Fordeler: So flawless in every way. This place makes it hard to explore Marrakesh properly! It has everything you need including authentic Moroccan food. Great social space for travellers to mix. Great friendly staff. If you're rolling solo this is the spot.

Fordeler: The hotel is one of the best hotels I have ever lived in Marrakech, the only thing It is little bit away from the old city

Fordeler: Breathtaking view from the room and room size. Staff, hospitality from the hotel team and very good service. It was a special occasion weekend and I thank you for making it truly special. Excellent bathroom and size of landscaped gardens. Have not been back to Four seasons chain for 3.5 years and this time they redeemed themselves.

Ulemper: Hard to fault but if I were very picky I would say noise inside the room that comes through the room door (that’s from adjacent rooms and guests, room service and cleaning trolleys).

Fordeler: Outstanding property, very beautiful design, large rooms. Overall very nice atmosphere, it’s spacious and the concierge services is fantastic.

Fordeler: The architecture and finishing of the hotel is really impressive. We were recommended the hotel by very close friends who stay frequently and it was really impressive. The swimming pool was an excellent feature and the rooms are very spacious.

Ulemper: Very little can be said that is negative about the hotel. If I had to be really picky, the only thing that could possibly be improved is the breakfast. Although the hotel offers a good breakfast, it was slightly limited.

Fordeler: Superb range of foods available at the breakfast buffet with inside and outside dining options. All three restaurants provided good food, and the bar menu on the terrace was a favourite. Having the stables attached was great for us as both our girls ride. The main pool area was superb with very attentive staff, and the Spa pool area as a second option was welcome. Truly relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Ulemper: On the whole all was very good. Some of the waiting staff could have been a bit more attentive at times, but this is a minor niggle.

Fordeler: The whole experience was great. very professional staff with attention for children. great spa and extensive range of treatments. the hotel is superb very confortable, amazing pool to swim but also where kids could play as a large shallow area on each side. Will come back for sure.

Ulemper: If the kids club could take kids at 3 years old instead of 4. Sound proofing in between the rooms. especially between room above. thick carpets?

Fordeler: Beautiful setting, surrounding gardens thst 80m pool strength with surrounding cabanas & the horse stables. Spa area is superb internal options & external pools. Design of the public area of the property are so cared for, well-considered & well-presented. Very beautiful, one truly feels in the lap of luxury! Staff are all fantastic; from the doormen through to reception ( Mohamed) , turn down service (Abbes) to the restaurant staff ( super helpful honest manager () & Omar whom served us) in another spectacular space on the grounds, the Assyl Moroccan traditional restaurant! Gorgeous! Food is outstanding & traditional, ( but revise he pastilla more spices & flavour plz) which is what every guests wants to experience not something catered to for a western palate! Well done all! But the pice-de-resistance was how much detail, care & kindness they bestow upon their guests! My birthday was not only celebrated by the Selman sending to my room, a set-up for tea, trolley with a beautifully decorated delicious French patisserie chocolate & orange mousse cake. Yet later in Assyl restaurant, they kept the musicians back more time, for me, they played for ages, for me & then at dessert time played 3 versions of Happy Birthday for me ( Eng, French, Morrocan) whilst all staff clapping & singing with great verve! They sprinkled me with rose

Ulemper: Too far out of town, a hassle to go anywhere. So one tends to stay out & enjoy the amenities ( if your into that kind of R&R) What would be great would be a flexible ( drive at anytime) local hotel shuttle for guests instead of having to keep calling taxis & transfers. Something to consider! ( as an extended service) I felt my room was boring beige & not in a true Morrocan style. It’s european hotel room formula with a slight leaning to a Morrocan style. I for this reason prefer Riads as they are more authentic, decorated more interestingly & eclectically. Being a large luxury hotel brand unfortunately loses all the feel in the rooms. Although all the size, space, spa, public areas make THIS experience all worth it & more. Beautiful The Selman!

Fordeler: A secluded haven. The hotel grounds are very beautiful. It is a very intimate and nature loving place. A lot of thought, love and care has been taken to create a wonderul, diverse and natural landscaped space. Many of the trees and plants are labelled for interest. My favourite moments, the serene view from the main restaurant terrace overlooking the garden, amazing breakfast, the continuous sound of birdsong across the whole resort (divine), the relaxed wildlife roaming freely around like the peacocks and hotel cats. The hotel vegetable garden is a great place to hide away in to read a book, lots of hidden seating too for privacy. The open fires in my suite and across the hotel areas. Also loved the families of tortoise in the hotel ponds. My hamman treatment was also a highlight, the therapist was very attentive and I had the whole hamman for the session.

Ulemper: I was a solo traveller booked into a suite with pool (room 5). On hindsight I should have asked to change to a smaller suite at ground level. There were 3 doors and 2 flights of stairs to get to my suite. As a solo traveller a ground level room would have been more appropriate and I would have felt safer. The front (first) door of the garden suite was often left unlocked by staff and on two occassions, staff entered the suite pool area without knocking/ringing door bell and in both incidences I was in the pool. Thank goodness I was not skinny dipping. The second door didn't lock at all. For a £300+ a night suite I also found small niggles in the suite, like the evening lamps leading up the suite not working (housekeeping did fix them when asked), taps missing parts and having to call housekeeping to light the fire every evening or make the TV work. Small things but important for a relaxing stay.

Fordeler: We loved the garden, pool and outdoors.

Ulemper: PLASTIC - the use of so many plastic straws with each drink and bottled water made us feel quite bad. It’s time to rethink, and although they have a sustainability ethos on the website it isn’t thought through enough in other departments such as room service, bar and housekeeping. Even the sugar is packed in little plastic sacks, shower gel and shampoo is in plastic bottles etc! Plus, although the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, it’s lacking a little on the final touches - coffee amenities pretty poor for example, bad lighting l, old air conditioning units and we didn’t rate the room service which arrived cold most (please invest in glitches and don’t use aluminium foil!!!) of the time and there was always something missing. The waiters were lovely though!

Fordeler: The most wonderful discreet hotel with beautiful peaceful gardens. The staff were welcoming and very friendly and showed grace and good humour but were fabulously discreet. The location is outside the city but this is welcome as this is the ideal place for rest

Ulemper: There is nothing this is a small garden of Eden

Fordeler: The hotel is fantastic! There is huge heated swimming pool, beautiful Olive Garden, amazing facilities. The hotel is perfectly clean and organized. The service was highly professional with great attention to detail. It takes only 15 minutes to get tot he city with taxi or shuttle that hotel organizes. Definitely recommend for a stay in Marrakech!

Fordeler: Beautiful place set in the palemara region a bit far away from the medina, very spacious rooms, great service, they offer free shuttle services multiple times a day.

Ulemper: Very limited options at the restaurant for dinner and the food was average, given the place is far away from the city I feel more options should be offered. Also, the wifi connection is extremely slow.

Fordeler: The garden is so beautiful

Ulemper: We were told we were not allowed to bring our own water purchased from outside the Riad. We understand food being bought into the premises but not water. Communication coud have been better in regard to how to get to the property.

Fordeler: Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.

Fordeler: The Riad is very quite and peacefull. The rooms are confortable and clean and the staff is very kind and friendly. We only stayed one night but would definitely come back if we have the chance.

Ulemper: It would be great to be able to pay with credit card at check.out.

Fordeler: Very friendly and accommodating staff. They Riad was beautiful, especially at night with all the lights turned on. Beautiful artwork adorn the walls and it was all very clean. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Ulemper: The breakfast was a bit lacking and left us wanting more.

Fordeler: The location is great, very close to the centre. We didn´t have dinner, but breakfast was nice, however we do prefer savory breakfast. I do understand this was typical Maroccan breakfast and first day we had some eggs which was nice, but second day we only had sweet options, which is not our preference (but this is just our personal preference). The third morning we skipped the breakfast as we were leaving early to the airport. What surprised us was how peacful and quite it was inside Riad considering its location. Staff is extremely helpful and polite.

Ulemper: It would be nice if extras could be also paid by card.

Fordeler: Everything was excellent!!! Location and the property itself are amazing and the hotel staff went beyond all our expectation with great service and super polite! Recommend anyone to stay there to discover the Médina and surroundings!!!

Fordeler: The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive, particularly Marie! Breakfast was nice, and the room felt very clean! I enjoyed my stay.

Fordeler: Really nice staff, great location, easy to reach everywhere and yet feel safe. beautiful Riad, tasty food, where else can i say... And buy the real, pure argan oil from one of the staff!

Ulemper: The pool is rather small, cant really swim. Breakfast is the same everyday
