Limited and costly use of the Internet or Wi-fi
One of the top hotels in the world. Every aspect of the stay was excellent.
Mistral restaurant, quality of room, location and view; pool and lake swimming; access to ferries to wide range of destinations. The sommelier at Mistral was outstanding, as was all the service there. Our room (park view) was superb, spacious, elegant and had a balcony. The outdoor cafe - under the pergola - had much poorer service and value than any other part of the hotel and was disappointing.
Gorgeous hotel in a beautiful Italian lakeside town - spectacular setting, beautiful gardens - hard to get to but worth it - rooms and hotel kept very clean - crisp linen bedding - Concierge very helpful with car rental, day trip to visit nearby villa, dinner reservations etc. - delicious buffet breakfast Didnt realize Bellagio was so far north - hard to get to as you have to navigate along a steep, narrow, winding road - We did not know that you could take a car ferry from Como which would have made things a lot easier - However, the hotel was beautiful
Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni did a fantastic job of taking care of us - very comfortable room, welcoming staff, and wonderful facilities. They were great with greeting you by name, suggestions on activities and arranging dining reservations. It didn't matter if you pulled up in a Bentley or not ( we didn't)
The only good thing about this hotel in all honesty was the location in Bellagio. First of all this is a rather pricey place. That is fine if the hotel is worth it. 5 * this is not, I can't even push to a 4 *. This was supposed to be the best hotel in Bellagio so we chose to stay here for our friends' wedding in Varena. The hotel staff was cranky - not a smile on anyone there, if you ever could find someone! I felt like I was in the movie The Shining. The hotel was very depressing, really in need of renovation. It smelled old and musty-- there were lace doilies with plants throughout the hotel -- I felt like we were staying with Grandma! Electric outlets in our room didn't work, nor did the safe. Every noise could be heard in the hotel, doors slamming, echoes. I do not recommend you stay here.
Wery fine hotell, service at top, good orchestra every night. One of the best 5 star hotel.
The hotel staff was very accommodating. I asked if they could find the Venice marathon on TV and they found it. They massage person was willing to stay late to fit me in. The staff in the fitness center was very helpful. The bed turn down in the evening could have left a piece of chocolate or something
We were made to feel so special and nothing was ever to much for the wonderful staff
Staff very eager to please Sadly our well behaved dog was restricted to room and non-public areas. He was welcome in the village terrace bars and surely could have been also welcome in the hotel casual terrace bar. We can find hotels more accepting of dogs. Hence my non-recommendation below.
We have stayed at the Villa Serbelloni three times and have enjoyed the elegance, romantic ambiance and comfortable rooms. The food was excellent in both dining rooms and the service excellent. The concierge gave us good information. We were also given an upgrade....great. there is nothing we did not enjoy about the hotel.
The hotel is about 5mins drive from Bellagio. Without a car, it would have been very difficult to get the town centre even though there is a bus (very infrequent - every 2 hours) which stops right outside the hotel. However, the hotel offers a shuttle service between the hotel and the town centre on request, which is a great service. This hotel is brand new and has modern decoration with a great view of the lake. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom could have been a bit more functional e.g. a glass shower screen. Otherwise, a very big bathroom.
-Very frIendly and helpful staf. Fantastic wiew to the lake, better than luxury hotels or rich people villas have. Large living/bedroom with kitchen facilities. Very good price value. Excelent heating/air conditioning system. Cleaning very good inside and outside the hotel. Garage incl. price. Breakfast well enough to compare the price.
Very good location, excellent service. Non
The views from our room were spectacular....4* The bathroom was very modern but the hand held shower & no curtain made for a wet bathrom...2* All rooms seem to have either patios or balconies and all faced lake Como.4*. The hotel runs a complimentary shuttle several times a day and provides parking..4* They have a lovely pool with views...4* The beds were comfortable...3* The hotel is remote and too far from Ballagio to walk. Often the management is condescending. The very basic continental breakfast was over priced but the first shuttle didn't run until 10 am and there is no place within walking distance.
There's nothing negative to say. Great room, great balcony, great view, great service, good price.
All rooms have amazing view of the lake and the mountains, rooms are large and very clean.
Spectacular view. Very nice rooms. Getting there by public transit with relatively large luggage was challenging.
The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Facilites excellent, parking available. Brand new hotel.
This hotel is breaht takingly beautiful. Has a very zen like, serene feel to it. Rooms are very simple, clean. Wonderful big, deep tub, towel warming racks, powerful shower heads, internet access via cable provided by front desk for 10 euro deposit. They gave us a ride to and from town at no cost. Breakfast provided. A little removed from central bellagio. Approx a 10 to 15 minute taxi ride from in town, cost about 10 euro. Worth every penny. Wonderful front desk staff, wonderful facility, couldnt ask for a better view. I will definitely go back to this hotel. None
The room was attractive and comfortable with a nice view of Lake Como. THe staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay very much.
Hotel was very nice, although a bit pricey. Location was excellent, as was the service. I was pleased with our stay and would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.
Location, location, location. I had a room overlooking Lake Como, so the view was beautiful. Extremely nice staff. My room also had a large bathroom, although some did not. Good value. Nice size room. No Internet in rooms, only lobby. Lobby is small and hardly accommodated those who needed Internet. Also, no room left for other guests to sit. No iron in room and/or no ironing room. Big problem as I always iro when I get to hotel. Had to pay neighboring cleaners business to press my clothes, and they weren't open until the following day after check-in, etc. I would say hotel is good for romance but not good enough for honeymoon.
The location was wonderful. The staff very friendly and helpful, the room was great with a view over the lake . Expensive
Great location with outstanding views from front rooms and (small) breakfast terrace. Large comfortable room. Free internet in reception.
The excellent position and the mini suite was of a high standard, breakfast was good by european standards with wide selection of items.
We had a nice room with a lake view--just what we had asked for. Nice buffet breakfast included with room. We were very pleased.
The situation of the hotel directly facing the lake The bar staff were a little slow in coming to serve drinks outside the hotel
Proximity to boats and shops with a reasonable and convenient restaurant attached. Breakfast. Plenty of choice but awful coffee, a toaster that did not toast, boiled eggs hours old, scrambled eggs and bacon watery and mostly cold.
The location of the hotel is beautiful. The room was comfortable and the staff was very accomidating. We would gladly stay again in the future.
Location. No free wifi.
The staff was very helpful and the location terrilfic.
Staff at the desk were very helpful. The location was fine, and views from the dining room were spectacular. Noisy motor scooters passing by after we'd gone to bed (we were on the street side of the hotel)
Enjoyed our stay, this is the forth accasion we've stayed and have never been disappointed, although it's getting rather PRICY - see what you can do for regular supporters - It's costly enough flying from Australia Not applicable
This was an excellent place to stay, from the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more helpful. The spa facilities are wonderful and the views from the hotel can only be described as spectacular. We would highly recommend this hotel.
vakker utsikt over lago di Como ifra mitt rom Jeg oppfattet det meste av personalet jevnt over ganske arrogant, bortsett ifra hun som var i frokostsalen paa avreisedagen
Flott beliggenhet. Rent og pent.Kort vei til det meste i en spennende by. Egner seg ikke for bevegelseshemmete. Godt fornøyd med oppholdet. Bedre merking til hotellet fra øvre parkeringsplass (Greitt nedenfra).
Utrolig fin beliggenhet. Flott rom med utsikt over sjøen.
Meget komfortabelt, og flott utsikt over sjøen.
The room was warm. Breakfast.
The panorama is truly outstanding and the rooms were fine. the staff were very nice and helpful. If going to Bellagio you need to decide between staying on the lake or above the lake at Il Perlo. We felt staying above the lake and looking down was a superior option. Nothing but I would not stay here without a car. It is theoretically possible to walk to and from Bellagio to town but only on a very narrow 2 direction road that has no pedestrian foot path. Unsafe and unenjoyable. Il Perlo will drive you but this is obviously somewhat less convenient. If you have a car don't stay anywhere else.
The outstanding view on the lake, the friendliness of the staff.
The view cannot be described with words, probably the best spot in the lake como area
Extraordinary hotel, with excellent, friendly and helpful staff. We have sincerely enjoyed warmness and nice service provided. The hotel room had great view over Como lake. I will be coming to this hotel without doubt many more times! all was great
Location was above the actual village of Bellagio with spectacular views. We had an "apartment". Large upstairs great room with bedroom and bath below.
Spectacular location. Friendly, welcoming staff. Free, ample car parking
The view from the hotel patio is amazing! Very romantic and a gorgeous place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. The staff were most helpful & there was an option to eat an 'snack' at the hotel if you were too tired to venture out for dinner. We did not have a vehicle and so used this option a couple of times.
The view of Lake Como is magnificent and staff were very warm and friendly.
This place is fantastic. The day spa is superb and service tops
great place, would highly recommend one of the finest hotels in italy i have benn too. none
the view of the lake
Grand style of decorations, yet very comfortable, No
Fantastic old style hotel with great facilites and great staff. Just about the best location on the Lake Como with great views over the lake and Bellagio. Bad Internet service and ridicoulous to pay extra given the EUR 500+ daily room cost
The Hotel looks very nice from the outside. Furthermore its situated in Tremmezo which close to a lot of nice place like Belaggio, etc.. The reception staff is very friendly and helpfull. The rooms need a lot off refurbishing, its not looked after for a long time. Also the rooms are very noisy, you can hear everything what happens next and above you. The waiters aren’t what you would expect for a 5 star hotel. Long waiting times for drinks and food. They don’t seem to enjoy serving you or answering question. The food and drinks are extremely pricy. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels but this is definitely overpriced. Also the waiters and many other staff don’t speak english. Not a problem when you stay in a 3 or 4 star hotel. It can be charming in the begging that they don’t speak English but i would prefer they would speak English
free internet access
Very nice location and facilities. outlook from restaurants and bars over the lake very impressive. Nothing in particular.
Wonderful location, great service, excellent food, elegant hotel
Location, facilities, room I was very unhappy with the service I received at the beach bar
Bright, airy apartment with lemon tree blossoms perfuming the air. Right in the middle of Bellagio. Laundromat was next door. Didn't want to leave. Wonderful. Driving through town on a street that looked like a sidewalk was awkward, at first. But, there is parking at the church about one block away that was convenient.
Room very spacious, and very functional kitchen. Great central location. We had two separate studio apartments, with a central lobby that was very convenient Only one of the studios had a toaster
clean, big room, reduced price at the adjacent restaurant the view, quite expensive (price-quality rate), reservations were unknown with staff at arrival, arrival before 7 pm
It was easy to locate, comfortable and very comfortable na
It was easy to get there by car and there was parking both out and in the hotel court. Staff spoke bad English, breakfast only from 8.30, room really small though we paid for view hotel.
Excellent location removed from "downtown" Bellagio. Walk to town in 10 minutes (fairly strenuous). Restaurant nearby.
great value, possibility of lake view , buffet breakfast very good would like to know in advance how to book a lake view room
The Hotel Nuovo Miralago was a great little bed and breakfast. The staff was extremely helpful, the hotel was very clean and the views were amazing. I would highly recommend staying here especially if you don't mind a short walk into town.
Very nice and quiet location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
parking, secure, clean, easy walk into town.
Vennlig personale, et lite hotell med god og rolig atmosfære,rent og pent, fantastisk utsikt til Comosjøen!
Vennlig og kompetent personale som var tilgjengelig til alle tider. Personlig atmosfere. Oversiktlige forhold. Fantastisk utsikt både fra rommet og terrassen
Hyggelig hotell med en fantastisk utsikt.
As a family with young children on a budget the Hotel was perfect. The views were amazing. The staff lovely and very accommodating. Meals in the restaurant perfectly Italian. The rooms were very basic but we only slept in them so were adequate. The pool and pool area were well tended. The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring the lakes and mountains, we had a car but there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. The children's play area should not be mentioned in the hotel facilities as it is way past it's sell by date. The picture used for the Hotel literature is not a picture of the hotel but a house belonging to the owners of the hotel. The actual Hotel is much bigger and not as pretty as the house.
The staff was very friendly and service minded. A fantastic view over Lake Como from the hotel veranda. The breakfast was very poor and not worth € 5. You have to be aware of noisy local traffic just outside the hotel.
very very friendly staff, we arrived late at the hotel and they still prepared a fresh Pizza for us. Food is very good, the view is amazing. rooms are not the newest but clean and again the view is amazing. no we loved the hotel
The views from the hotel are wonderful and the service from everyone at the hotel is wonderful. Unfortunatelly the pub the hotel has below the rooms is very noisy and as the hotel is situated in the middle of a curve, it becomes even more noiser!!
The staff were great: friendly and eager to do their best. The main plus point, though, is the exceptional view over lake Como from the (breakfast) terrace. For bikers, I'd imagine you'd hugely enjoy the route to get there and the roads in the vicinity. The hotel is in need of some maintenance (broken shutters, peeling paint, etc.). It's fairly run-down, a little shabby and, frankly, not really what you'd expect from the star rating or the price. The shower stall in the room we had was also very cramped (for someone of medium build, so might even prove inaccessible for the fuller figure!). In addition, the breakfast offered is poor - a few slices of dry bread with a handful of individual servings of jam is about as much as you should expect. I'd also recommend sleeping with the windows closed as the local boy racers on their muffler-removed scooters seem to enjoy tearing up and down the winding road that passes the hotel, during the evenings.
Owners very attentive Swimming pool not accessible to clients due to private prearrangements by staff
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The views were amazing. The swimming pool and sunbathing area was great. The restaurant food was adequate. The rooms were very old fashioned and the beds were not very comfortable. I would not pay for a room that did not have a view! Breakfast was awful - some mouldy fruit, dry bread and some jams. There is nothing to visit once you have arrived at the hotel, so you need to have a car if you are staying several days or just make it a pool side holiday.
Vey helpful, friendly staff. Meals excellent
It was great tour of Lombardy was on and race goes around hotel fantastic!! Heating didn't work first night but fixed asap
Lovely location - fantastic view from the terrace in the sun with a glass of wine.....Food good. Not the hotel's fault (they do know now that we've told them) but the location is incorrectly shown on Google map & local Kompass map. It seems that you should get off the bus in Civenna, but actually it's 2km & several hairpins further on up the hill, which is ok as long as you know. Otherwise it's a long walk with a rucksack. Breakfast good.
