The AC is central system. They stop air conditioning system from time to time, and rooms get very hot.
The beach is nice, sandy and spacious. 1-No air Conditionning in the hotel, only ventilation, we sweat all night, u can't open windowns because of mosquitos. 2- Food of poor quality, not fresh, some cups have marks on them. 3- Staff not helpful. 4- you need to pay for the safebox in the room.
You will need a car to get to the res. It is not a difficult drive but the hotel is located almost to the end of the road with a fabulous sea view.
The beach area is very nice here. The two bedroom suites were perfect for our needs, and there don't appear to be many of those within this area of Turkey that we could find. The food is not very good at Richmond Ephesus. It is your typical international cuisine buffet that they make for 500+ guests each meal, so the quality suffers. It was without a doubt the worst part of the resort. We ended up driving into Selcuk for most of our meals, only eating the buffet when the timing suited us. If your intent is to explore ruins and the surrounding area, this isn't the place for you. If I go back I'll stay at a hotel within Selcuk for this purpose. If you intend to spend the majority of your time on the beach, then this will work. But why would you go to Selcuk to do that?
We visited the hotel slightly off season, so the value for money was outstanding. Great location and variety of facilities. Unfortunately, we did not have time to make use of them. Good starting point for one-day trips to nearby sights if you are not in to relaxation on the beach. Food quality and variety is just sufficient, it's never a 5-star experience.
Hotellet drives av to brødre. Den ene av dem kjørte oss gratis til busstasjonen ved avreise. Badet var ekstremt lite, og vann fra dusjen flommet over hele gulvet.
Vennlig,imøtekommende og hjelpsomt peronale utover det vanlige.
The staff was wonderful
The hotel was lovely and the staff was great .Great location as we were hop skip jump from the bus terminal which made it easy to go to the surrounding places . A big "Thank You " to Ibrahim for being very helpful and catering to all our needs . I would definitely recommend Rebetika to all who visit Selcuk and please do go to Selcuk as there is so much to see apart from Ephesus .
fantastic ! very nice people and very nice and clean hotel. location very good.
i'm afraid we did not like this hotel at all and were glad to leave. on arrival at the hotel our party was dissappointed with the representation of the hotel on the internet compared with the reality. the ground floor room we were allocated had a damp and musty odour. (it was also a twin when we had booked a double). we all felt that they have a captive market due to its location to ephesus. we only stayed one night but if the hotel had been better we would have stayed longer. even the beer was warm!
The best thing was the family who owned the hotel. Both Suleiman and his brother Ibrahim were extremely helpful with information, arranging tours and flexibility such as use of room after checking out while waiting for bus. The location of the hotel is superb, just a few minutes walk from town center, close to Ephesus and very quiet and picturesque. Free Internet was also big plus. Excellent.
the staff were great and picked us up from the bus station. Location was away from the busy streets but close to everything in Selcuk. Basic facilities but clean and comfortable. The staff made it welcoming the bathroom door needed repairing. they advertise themselves as completely non smoking property however the staff were smoking at breakfast on the balcony
The hotel is wonderfully located near some of the major sites. it is well run, has a great rooftop terrace and good food.
Great location near Ephesus. Very helpful staff with good English. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. A little noisy from tourist buses at night
Nice place, staff really helpful, good location.
Friendliness of staff - lovely attitude and good suggestions re local services.
Excellent location, just a few minutes walk from the train and bus stations. Even closer to the little downtown area with lots of little shops and restaurants. The staff were super nice and helpful, with good tips on getting around. The rooms were modest but very decent and the roof top restaurant has an excellent view of the castle. The small pool and cold beer were the perfect way to relax after walking through Ephesus.
An adventure to get to as it is high in the mountains outside of Selchuk and difficult to find. Winding, gravel, narrow road never to be navigated at night. The restaurant is quite beautifully rustic and very small as only a very limited number of guests are possible to accommodate in the few restored cottages available. The food was excellent and must be ordered earlier in the day. It is imperative for older or physically challenged individuals to know that it is extremely difficult to negotiate the cobblestones and unlighted gravel pathways especially in the evening and it must be done with flashlights. The cottages are very basic, but the setting is lovely if you can get to it!
The colour of the ocean, the "resort" atmosphere and the remote location. Must not close the gate; it makes the gusts feel locked in.
The setting is heavenly, the staff delightful.
The cottages are fantastic- beautifully decorated with lots of old world charm. The restaurant is also lovely and the food quite good- we loved the breakfast baskets with natural honey and fresh bread which were delivered daily. Unfortunately so did the scores of local cats and dogs which invaded our patio to dine and dash- watch your food, folks!! It was great to unwind in the pool after a hot day in the Turkish sun. The owner of this hotel was obviously absent- while the staff was pleasant, there was no personal attention or warmth. If you're a light sleeper, the local village dogs bark all night long- don't forget your nyquil!
A special experience to stay in a old village house. The house was well maintained. The hotel services in the afternoon an excellent filled basket for breakfast the following day. The access road to the hotel is very bad. The hotel is not suitable for disabled and families with very young children, because it is build on a very steep hill.
Charming location, excellent food. Stunning gardens and pool. Unique!
Great Location, picturesque views, excellent food
This hotel is enormously charming, on a mountain top overlooking Turkish valleys near a beautiful village. The marble pool on the grounds is divine. The restaurant had fantastic food and service. Extremely charming environment with many small details to the rooms to give comfort and a sense of informal tasteful luxury. Very artful. Due to communication problems and also the hotel website being down the week we booked the reservations, our first reservation was misplaced. We were stuck in the countryside driving through Turkey without a guaranteed room until 9 p.m., causing much stress. Upon arrival, we were put in a second hotel 1 kilometer away, far from the facilities of the hotel, and of much lower comfort standard, causing more frustration and confusion. The hotel is also very hard to find -- one must not look for it at night. But the true charm of the main hotel plus the willingness of the staff to make up for human errors make me highly recommend this very unique hotel to others.
The Nisanyan Hotel is a unique place--tucked away on a winding mountain road, it's an Inn plus some lovely cottages. The grounds are beautiful- with lovely views of the little town below, fruit trees ripe for the picking (it was August), flowers growing alongside every path, a marble swimming pool, and the sense that you are at kind of a luxury farm. The sound of the donkey's braying, the goats, the horses, and the opera always playing softly in the dining area are some of my fondest memories. It's a very special place, and the staff are wonderful. Travelers who have trouble walking or climbing will not be happy with the steep paths.
Beautiful location; easy walk to village; stunning design touches, making the hotel look genuinely old with Turkish artifacts on display; attention to detail eg ability to use kitchen, free use of umbrellas, torches, candles in bedroom and bathroom; relaxed atmosphere
