Location and accessibility Hot food available at breakfast was at best lukewarm
Relaxed, romantic "old world" Arabic ambiance in the heart of hyper modern Dubai. Very friendly, helpful staff. Great location from which to explore the sites of the inner city. Nicely appointed rooms and well laid breakfast table. It was a little tricky for my MacBook Pro to pick up a continuous Wi-Fi signal in our room, most likely due to the solid, centuries old construction style of the guest house's stone walls. The signal was fine in the courtyard however.
Great location, fabulous accomodation and very helpful staff.
the historical enviroments it takes you back to the old days the showerroom i think thier is no need for the bath only shower with good water pressure and the TV need to be update with more relaible channals.
Excellent location very close to Dubai Creek, and the old shopping district with stores too numerous to count. Situated in a restored part of traditional "old Dubai" with "artsy" restaurants/cafes just around the corner. Very cozy, comfortable and quiet. A real gem.
Excellent positon, no need to climb stairs. small and cosy, The taxi driver did not knwow wher ir was!
The hotel desgin is nice but only to see it not to stay in it. Very bad smell, some of the staff are very bad specially the night shift one, rooms are not clean toilet is not clean, water pressure in the toilet is too low u can not have a shower, insects and lizards are in the reciption hall. not recommended at all.
We really enjoyed the relaxed and intimate surroundings of the Orient Guest House and look forward to returning. It was close to the Dubai Creek and shopping in the nearest souks. The sister hotel The Arabian Courtyard provided excellent facilities of which we used many. No
The location of the hotel is perfect - all the historical sights within walking distance and the Abra across the creek justthe other end of the colourful souk The breakfast selection poor, and I felt the rooms were overpriced for the general level of facilities. This may reflect the unreasable charges in general for hotels in Dubai. If one is going to have to pay the same for a concrete box in a high rise tower then this hotel is excellent value. The staff were not particularly friendly and this made the level of service seem lacking
Cosiness and warm environment The room is too small. I stayed there for 3 days. During my stay there I had the same meal for breakfast.
It was accessible, the hotel staff was nice & the room was lively. But there was no internet connection in the room and we got disappointed when we learned that the pool in the hotel is open only from 4pm to 6 pm because we were notable to take a dip. I really have nothing bad to say about our experience with Dolphin Hotel.
The location is good,I stayed twice the same month, the first time they were friendly the second time they weren't v,happy to see me in fact they were complaining that they were booked solid,I checked in 3PM,I waited more than forty minutes for the room. They should be more organized.
near to the church and inside city 1) Vehicle Parking is limited..while it is cleary mentioned that parking is possible in the site....2) They dont follow the non smoking rules....
The minor staff /room boy very good I was over charged by this hotel. I booked at the rate of aed 250 But charged aed 700 for 2 nights at the time of check out. Because I had a earlier booking throgh booking.com and I cancelled it, Because I was staying in another hotel in Dubai before I came to Dholpin. So during my earlier stay I visited this hotel personally and founfd the rate is aed 250 per night including beakfast. So I canelled the Booking.com reservation and made a fresh reservation at the time of my visit to Dholpin. Also when I checked in I inquired the rate from the manager and they confirmed that the rate was aed 250.But when I was checking out the horrible uneducated girl @ reservation informed me that 1st night was aed 250 and the second night charged @ aed 450
the price is equal to the quality of the hotel
Really only location good others very bad first of all parking very small and you have to go inside the hotel and call some body to open the gate and bathroom very dirty and contains insects and breakfast only indian food
Friendly atmosphere, convinient location. Airport transport they used to do before will be appreciated by charging extra reasonable amount
the staff dealing behavior was not good,i visited more than 10 hotel appartment in dubai but didnt meet such staff
You are right in the middle of the true Dubai area, with lot of restaurants, Souks and sights to visit. Fantastic to hear the calls to prayer. No alcoholic refreshments after a full day out in town, we had to go to another hotel for a drink.
The location was very good for walks nearby. Very quiet apart from the morning prayers! Lights in the bathroom poor! Pricing vis a vis facilities of hotel quite expensive!
The XVA is a jewel and a great "find" from my perspective. As first time visitors to Dubai we wanted to avoid being overpowered by the bustling growth and development for which Dubai is often noted. Additionally, we were ending a rather lengthy tour around south Asia. The term oasis certainly fit our bill. The predominantly vegetarian offerings of the in-house cafe provided refreshing and much needed sustenance to our inner being while the decor and ambiance soothed our travel weary outer beings. The terraces were perfect for soaking up the "chill" of winding down in brilliant "alfresco" fashion while our ears were blessed by the background audio soundtrack. If we'd stayed longer I could see this as the perfect place to initiate forays into sight seeing. Even without that intent being in Dubai's historical old town invited us to stroll its maze of walkways on warm, languid desert evenings. We look forward to visiting again. We weren't able to stay longer. As music lovers we couldn't access the hotels splendid playlist.
The staff, esp the indian manager; the fresh simple breakfast; the room; the courtyard lack of a car park was a real nuisance
The people working there were friendly and helpful. They did not keep us waiting if we needed anything. The first night of our stay we got beautiful rooms that were simply but tastefully decorated. The last night we only needed a place to put our bags so we took the least expensive room which was small. The decoration was strange and inelegant. There was too much clutter on sink, ugly fake flowers & tissue box. There was no shower curtain in the bathroom. I would recommend a shower stall instead of the tub.most people these days prefer a shower and less water is used. Bed & wall decoration not of suitable for high end traveler, only for luggage. Needs to be simplified, which would cost almost nothing. Hotel does not have many rooms and therefore every room no matter how small should be a jewel!
My favorite thing about the hotel is the building itself, especially the courtyards--and the way they are decorated: simple, whimsical, and totally peaceful. The location is also fantastic--right next to the Creek.
