Bed and rooms are amazing. This is a really great hotel. Bar ontop is amazing but always empty. I will definitely use again. The Internet is so slow it's essentially useless. They make you wear a shower cap to use pool (which I wouldn't do) so couldn't use it. English is really rough. So don't expect to have a conversation. Only the basics like ice and taxi.
Good value for the money. The location was not convenient for shopping and general sight seeing -- at least a 30 minute taxi to get to popular locations.
Yes, price per night at the hotel did not match to price as per booking.com. Also, Visa/master card was not acceptable or Dollar, which made our check-in experience not nice.
The rooms are very nice and the hotel is at this stage well maintained. The staff were poorly trained and were very unhelpful. The processes in the hotel didn't seem to work that well and mistakes are common. They were often rude and unwelcoming. The food was ok but the evening buffet was inedible with very few choices.
Room is bif & comfortable I bought through the net in usd. When I settled the bill, the exhange rate use was not the bank exhange rate but the hotel exhange rate was 6.8 rmb to one USD.The hotel exchange rate was much higher.Customer should be able to settle in usd otherwise we should be quotied in rmb.
Brand new facility - everything works and is clean. Concierge helpful - willing to make suggestions and assist where necessary. Location is quite poor - hotel is out of place in a poor neighborhood, making us uncomfortable. We took one walk around and returned to the hotel. Must go out of the area for all activities. Our floor had a power outage our first night at 3am - were moved to another floor and were promised a fruit plate as compensation, which we never got. New hotel - new staff - some excperience needed.
The room was large and comfortable. The staff were ok but not particularly friendly, except for the concierge.
very (and in fact too) spacious, good view of the bund, huge variety of food for breakfast with good quality looked isolated, not within immediate access to shopping amenities, not yet known to taxi driver
No Wifi !!!!
Top hotel for both business and tourist travellers. Very friendly staff. All of them speak good english. Good facilities. Very beatiful lobby. Modern, clean and cofortable rooms. Reasnable price. Internet access should be free of charge.
The service was good and the people were friendly and helpful. The room temperture could not be turned to cold. It was to warm.
The staff are friendly, courteous and very professional. The facilities are very nice. The location is the major concerns. Main attractions are not within walking distances(like walking to Nanking Road and Sun Tin De)
The hotel was rather far from down town Shanghai, but it was very peaceful , tranquilizing place that we surly recommend to everyone. Traveling to city attractions, the traffic was frustrating.
Dood hotel, best price
Room was very comfortable and room service was excellent ! Lobby bar and lobby can be more interesting !
The hotel room The location, the food was of poor standard and overpriced with staff slow to serve, the hotel lacks natural ambience and typical Chinese which is not how the hotel appears on your web site, the bed was hard no choice of pillows and the staff have limited ability in speaking and understanding English
close to the subway, clean, comfortable, tasty breakfast (only Chinese), staff speaks English quite well, a bit too far from the city centre
Service is quick, and staffs are friendly. Staffs respond quickly to enquiry/complaints. Excellent. The bath tub is rusty, and the rubber mat appears dirty.
The Hotel was in a good location, very clean and affordable. Transport systems were easily accessible I was a little dissapointed with the language skills of the reception staff, only one person could speak a little english.
The Hotel had my reservation exactly as promised - they also gave me a discount and late check-out because I am a member. Very efficient check-in and check-out. Having stayed at other JJ Inns, this was like coming home. The check-in clerk didn't ask if I wanted breakfast or tell me how much it cost (her English was very limited and I didn't think to ask). Also, she didn't give me the Internet authorization code - though later my technical problems vanished and I went on-line without problem. Also, the desk lamp did not work.
We arrived far too early by nighttrain, but the hotel made all efforts to accomodate us as soon as possible even when everything was fully booked. Meanwhile we had breakfast in the hotel ( buffet for 15 RMB ). Always book a businessroom: they are much more spacious for the almost the same price as a standard room.
