Shanghai in early March was cold, grey, rainy, windy simply dreary. But our stay at the Radisson Hotel Shanghai Hong Quan definitely brightened our stay. Airport/Hotel Transportation: Arranged limousine service to pick me up in the airport. And it is not far away from the Pudong international Airport, only takes around 45 mins. Location: it is convenient to go to Hong Qiao area, only 15 minutes by taxi. Check-in: Was very fast, we were escorted to the lobby and was in our room less than 10 minutes. Room: The hotel is extremely comfortable. We stayed in a Deluxe room and it was exquisite. The space, the layout, quality of the furnishings, and the best hotel bathroom in the world made the room memorable. Bed: The Mattress was very comfortable not really too soft and not hard either, I have to say its just right. Restaurant: The dinning room serves buffet breakfast, dinner. I find the breakfast good. Service at the restaurant is attentive and I like the food. It was tasty. Check-out: Check out was fast and efficient. Overall Evaluation: The hotel is gorgeous throughout. Everything is cutting edge contemporary luxury. Service is excellent there no doubt on that.
Had a very pleasant stay in the Radisson Hotel Shanghai Hong Quan. The hotel is elegant, clean and well kept. Staff were helpful. The Breakfast buffet included a mix of traditional Chinese and western dishes and was very tasty. In the neighborhood there is a carrefour only need to walk by 5 minutes. It is also easy for us to take metro No.11 to go to the down town. The most good point which is the free Internet service is available in the room. Definitely , I will come back next time.
Good value for money. Clean rooms, clean bathrooms and comfortable bed. Good location I would like a more traditional breakfast. The breakfast was really geared towards an Asian feel but it would be nice if there was a little more than fried eggs, watermelon, rice krispies and corn flakes geared to the "western" traveler. I do understand there are a large amount of chinese guests but there are also quite a few western guests.
As previous reviewers say, there's much around. The closest subway is about 5 mins walk. But it closed at 10:00pm. It sits right besides the river. On the other end of the road ( not the subway one), it has more stores and shops. It is best for tourists group that use bus as main transportation means. You need to place a 'please change sheet' card on your bed in order to change sheet ( becuase Holiday Inn advocates 'green' ?) There is no room service ( probably the same for all other Holiday Inn Express) so you need to pick up stuffs from the front desk. It is a fair place to stay, just not as convenient. And some taxi drivers have hard time to know where it is located. It is a bit tricky to drive to the hotel even for locals. Hope they can improve on breakfast.
