Beautiful hotel with friendly, efficient staff. If you want to stay in the heart of Bourbon Street this hotel is it. Upgrade to Balcony suite for a perfect stay. Everything was great.
I can't even put into words just how amazing the staff were. Every single person I met was so friendly and accommodating. Even going as far as making me a make shift shower chair due to my ankle being broken and needing assistance. Every need was met and then some! The ONLY issue we had was the sensitivity of the room keys. We had to have them remagnetized every day sometimes numerous times in a day.
I loved the location of the hotel the staff was courteous and friendly. The in hotel restaurant had good food but was a bit pricey. Our room was clean, I am a picky person so it met my standards. I thought some areas could have had better house keeping. Large dust bunnies were all over the floor near the stairs. The main area that was traveled by the guests were kept cleaner. But most importantly I didn't like that they permitted a drunken homeless person to sleep outside of the hotel doors, not a good first impression for many guests.

- Location, location, location. Traveled with a friend and this was incredibly convenient to everything we wanted to do in NOLA. I'd absolutely bring bikes if you have the means, makes the city a lot more accessible and reduces transportation issues. - Pool - Staff was awesome, very accommodating even at the last minute - it's clear that they all like their jobs - Stored our bikes in the room downstairs so they didn't take up space in the smaller room and the doormen were always available to open it up for us. Before we found this out they kept our car in a gated lot close by to make sure our bikes were safe on the car. - Free drinks at bar are slightly misleading... Not a total scam but just make sure you want well liquor and add up the cost prior to making it a double with "premium" liquor. - Valet can be slow but they did give a heads up that it would take 40 minutes at some times. - Depending on where you are in the hotel you may have a way to walk down the halls to your room but this isn't really a big deal. - Truly not that bad - if I HAD to pick bad things this is what I remember but I would absolutely stay there again.

Really enjoyed the Historic aspect of the Hotel. Very opulent, and had wonderful informative signs regarding various history of the building. Staff is really good, polite, and helpful.
The room was giant The place was shabby, even the uniforms were cheap. The hotel bar closed at 12:30, the room service was from like 4-10 and was provided by a third party, in the morning I called for a sprit and it took FOREVER for it come. I paid 450 for that room. I should have been at the Four Seasons level.

i stayed here with a group of 9 women. This hotel was in the very best location to walk everywhere that we wanted to go in the French Quarter. It was a really great price and i would definitely stay there again, group or individually. Having traveled to NOLA many times and stayed at many similar hotels, this was the easiest, cleanest, and best value by far.
Right by Bourbon St room was clean and nicely appointed great central courtyard with pool Location makes it noisy rooms on one side were noisy to a non-stop generator terrible pillows no room service uninformed staff (front desk not aware there was no room service, housekeeping not clear whether feather pillows existed... isn't this a basic requirement in most hotels? plastic mattress cover - I guess too many people enjoy the party atmosphere too much & they have mattress issues!

Great location and staff. The valet parking crew was very professional and courteous. Olga at the bar was a pleasure to talk too. I liked the modern decor as well. I would recommend this hotel most of the time. Walls are thin--I could hear people talking on both sides of my room. I imagine it has something to do with being an old building. Fortunately it didn't last long, however, if you are there for any kind of festival where there will be a lot of late night partying (it's near Bourbon street so this may happen quite a bit), I'd recommend being one of them instead and not assuming a good night sleep.

The hotel itself is really nice, especially the patio. The location of the hotel is also excellent The rooms were not really clean. The first room we had was so noisy that we could not sleep. We were then given another room which was quiet.

Access to Bourbon Street and remainder of French Quarter There is a usage fee and utility fee that has to be paid at the end which really seem like charges that should either be incorporated in to the price of the room or dropped. I read about them online and was prepared. However, other parties checking out at the same time were very suprised. Also, parked for an overnight rate at a garage one block away for less than their garage rate.
The staff was the best from start to finish!! I have to give props to house keeping for the amazing job they do, Ms Julie moves through the hotel like greased lightning!! Ms Janet, our concierges, made it possible for us to see as much as possible during our stay and is very knowledgeable about the area and the best tours. Our doormen, King Saloman, Sir Larry and Sir Lawrance , as my husband liked to call them, were friendly, fun and very helpful. From front to back, the staff was amazing. Rooms are clean, comfortable and beautiful. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful, so many choices. Can you tell we loved our stay!!??
The staff was very accomodating in all respects. The location was also very convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. This is a perfect location if you are going to Mardi Gras. The bar was only open until 9 pm which wasn't convenient, but there was a bar at the corner of Bienville and Burbon which was very close.

The hotel is right at the base of the French Quarter. If you plan to stay in the Quarter, this is a great option. Noise and parking. During a busy time, self park will be almost impossible. We valeted in order to avoid searching for a space.

The location was absolutely perfect: within a few short blocks to all the fun. But the location also provided much needed quiet at night. The facilities were clean and absolutely beautiful. I will absolutely stay here again and will tell everyone about this gem!
For the price, the inn provides access to the French Quarter, into which I went for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and nightlife. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable about the area, and eager to help. The room and inn have that French Quarter feel (e.g., courtyard, exposed brick, tall windows). The room was comfortable except for one point. The shower was glass, not a curtain, and was nice for such an inexpensive room. My friends who stayed at the same conference were jealous that I was staying in classier accommodations than they for the same or less! My room on the first floor had no weather strip on the bottom of the door and suffered a draft. Once plugged with a spare blanket, however, the room was cozy. Also, the electrical cords for the television were rather lazily slung over the TV itself. It looked shabby.

We were super close to Bourbon St but never heard it- which was great! We had an interior room with no windows which I was a little apprehensive about booking at first but it proved to be the best idea ever! After getting in to town early in the morning and wandering around a lot, it was great to ha e a quiet, dark room for an afternoon nap. New Orleans is always busy and there are always people out on the streets at all hours- I highly recommend the windowless rooms for peace and quiet when it's time to get away:)
The hotel was amazing. I went through Kayak and found this hotel with great reviews and $100 under our budget! When we walked in, the lobby was cute, perfectly decorated, and had the New Orleans feel we were looking for *cough*we're tourist*cough*. We were greeted by Lonny the bellman, who wouldn't let us lift a finger with our bags. He even gave us some free wine vouchers for a near by café. Check in was standard with no wait time and a friendly front desk staff. There is a small pool and patio area if you wanted to take a quick dip (by small pool, it is incredibly small, but still nice to have as an option). This hotel is cute, clean, and has the New Orleans experience with just a quick walk to Bourbon St, Café Du Monde, amazing shops in the French Quarter. Since we were driving from across country, we had an entire SUV packed with professional camera equipment, expensive camping gear, and pretty healthy supply of clothes etc. We were concerned about street parking and were told that if we valet our car with the hotel, it would be in a garage, 24 hour surveillance, and returned to us in the exact same condition we left it in. We thought "it's only $15 more than parking across the street, and we will have piece of mind" so we went with the valet. We remove our luggage for the night, brought in the camera gear (thank god) and carried on with our New Orleans experience as they drove our car off to the garage. Being a typical girl, I realized I left something in the car and asked the front desk if I could either walk to the car or have it brought around. She gave me quick directions and I headed to the parking garage. When I approached the booth in the garage, the gentlemen working pointed to the pay lot across the street, and handed me the keys. I was confused because it was just a $20 over night pay lot that we could have easily used instead of paying $15 more for the "garage" we were told our car would be in. I grabbed my items, double checked all the doors were locked, and took the keys back to the employees in the booth. When I got back to the hotel, I told my boyfriend about the differences in what we were told we were getting and what we actually got as far as parking went. We both agreed that there must be some reason for it and that the garage was full or they would move the car at some point. 8AM: Our hotel phone rings. The supervisor of the parking garage was calling to let us know he was ready to take our car to the shop to have the windows replaced. You can imagine our confusion, seeing as we had gone to bed late and had partaken in what New Orleans had to offer, IE we were hung over and had no idea what was going on. We get dressed and head down to meet with the garage supervisor who informed us that between 3-5am the driver's and passenger side windows had been broken and it looked like items were removed from the car. We head over and look over everything. Sure enough, it was in the same spot it had been the night before, sans two windows. It only looked like some center console change and our GPS had been taken(which was in a locked glove box). The parking garage paid for everything to be replaced that had been taken, and replaced the windows. Our plan was to leave at 12pm after some beignets from Café Du Monde, but ended up having to stay until 6pm waiting for the car to be fixed. Of course our room and valet charges were comped, and the staff acted accordingly, it was just an unfortunate situation that could have been avoided if the front desk had the real information regarding where their guests' vehicles were actually parked. Take what you will from this. Be it, sh*t happens and you move on, or it was a nice stay, something bad happened, and the hotel did the best they could.
I wanted an authentic New Orleans French market experience and that's exactly what I got at the French market inn. Everything was perfect. It was historical, right across the street from the Riverwalk, two blocks down from Bourbon Street, Clean, safe, right across the street from Cafe Du Monde. We decided that we would stay here every time we came to New Orleans. It was nothing that I didn't like. I'm used to stay and four star hotels so I had to adjust to the boutique feel of the room, but I bet it was comfortable and the atmosphere was authentic and great.
I really enjoyed my stay. I appreciated the historic feel of the room with brick walls. I was skeptical at first about renting a room with no windows, but it exceeded my expectations and wasn't as sketchy as imagined. There were plenty of lamps to substitute the natural lighting. The staff was very friendly. They greeted everyone who passed through the lobby with a smile and were helpful with suggesting local places to eat. Great location for the french quarter experience. I felt as if the carpet in my room had not been cleaned or vacuumed before my stay. There was obvious staining and debris visible. I am glad I brought slippers. It seems as if the cleaning of the rooms could be more detailed as there were trash under/behind the dresser and side table.

Place was 2 blocks away from bourbon st. And all the fun stuff Hotel was under construction, can't use their pool. Bathroom wasn't very clean and at 11am u start hearing the construction they have going on, which wakes u up and leaves u restless
Like? Its 3 blocks from Bourbon St. I normally stay in hotels much closer for just a few dollars more. There was nothing to like about this run down, disgusting place. I only gave it a chance because it was a last minute trip and this one popped up in my search. It is disguised as a pretty, boutique hotel...don't be fooled. We stayed on the 2nd floor. The first night getting off the elevator we had to walk thru vomit to get to our room, not the hotel's fault by any means, however clean up took forever. The double beds, extremely small and old. The pillows, I can't describe, something from the stone age. The bathroom, water leak above shower head in ceiling tiles, apparent water leak under floor tiles. Disgusting smell and stayed wet the entire stay. The second morning, we realized the puke was the least of the hotels problems. The hall carpet between our room and the adjoining room was squishy wet...and the smell was unbelievable. This wasn't a "just happened" issue, they were prepared with a blower just outside our door to dry the carpet. It's not going to dry until the leaks are fixed.. Overall, for the money, pay extra and go elsewhere.
Had such a fun time here. The pool is a beautiful area to sit outside. Happy hour in the afternoon is perfect because they come out to the pool to serve you. The room was completely fine with a large bathroom. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for walking around the French quarter! We wish there was a refrigerator in our room.

The room was comfortable, We were not informed the pool and courtyard were under construction. We traveled with my children who were both under 21. They were looking forward to hanging out at the pool. Unfortunately, not this trip.
I liked the location because it was on the periphery of the French Quarter. It was within easy walking distance of tourist sites, but in a quiet area. The room was average size, attractive. Our room looked out, not to the street, but to the attractive courtyard, where the heated pool was located. Staff were accommodating. Uber drivers seem to have trouble getting onto this section of Toulouse Street. It does not have much seating in the lobby. If you need a place to sit and wait after checkout, this is pretty tight.
Location in French Quarter was ideal. Atmosphere pleasant. Check in took hours waiting for a cleaned room. Restaurant at breakfast was understaffed and it took 45 minutes to take our order. And not even offered a second cup of coffee. Poor way to start a day!!
We were moved to a great room with a balcony. The rooms that do not have a balcony have nice windows that are painted shut.
Enjoyed the atmosphere, comfort of the beds and temperature control. Balcony was such a pleasant bonus, loved it at night and in morning. room had not been completely serviced when we arrived but front desk was quick to respond to our needs.
We only stayed one night but the staff were excellent, very welcoming and friendly. They let us check in early and gave us drink tickets for the hotel bar May Bailey's, even giving us an extra ticket since there were 3 of us. The bartender at May Bailey's was great too, very amiable, and told us the history of the bar and humored my friend when he asked about ghosts. When we came back late at night and were taking pictures, one of the staff recommended a good view from the second floor balcony if we liked pictures. The beds were heaven. I didn't even want to leave the room, those beds were soooo comfortable! Breakfast in the morning was pretty good with lots of options, better than any continental I've ever had. We had a wonderful time, only wish we had been able to stay longer! In future trips to NOLA, I will definitely be staying at the Dauphine Orleans again. Nothing major, just a hair in the sink and one in the tub. Otherwise very cleanly.

Great hotel. Really accommodating. They let us check in early and then also held our big suitcase our last day there even after check out. When we came back to get it they had a cab waiting to take us to the airport.

Staff was very accommodating and friendly. They were overbooked due to a wedding for the first night of our stay but they comped us at the Sheraton two blocks away. Then we returned for the rest of our trip, and everything was excellent. Very nice pool area with cabanas, trees, vines, and drink service! Location was also perfect.

And the best part was being able to relax outside in the pool area I pretty much liked everything. Just thought the beds could have been a little more comfortable. But overall great hotel. Great location for our group. Easy walk to everything. Lots of noise from the bars but we knew that in advance. Staff was so helpful and friendly. Pool area and lobby were really nice. One elevator was being renovated, so we took the stairs most of the time.

Bad decisions from the reception staff (3 hours to get our room after we arrived in 3 different attempts) and our keycard was not programmed correctly even then. Noisy hotel with the street on one side, the pool being worked on with a jackhammer in the morning on tho other side, and very thin walls everywhere.
Great location. The floor was surprisingly comfortable. The cleaning staff was very nice and tolerant of our shenanigans. The bartender downstairs was super sweet...she continued to give us alcohol even when we totally should have been cut off. The luggage valet made an excellent skateboard. The concierge was very helpful although he kept trying to sell us on signing up our group on a swamp tour with 30 minutes notice...there was no way we would be able to gather our group that quickly even if we weren't highly intoxicated. Also, he seemed irritated when we suggested they allow us to drive fan boats as a part of the tour. Our lamp was broken and glued back together. "The bathroom doesn't work right," kept being mentioned throughout our stay. Not enough towels to make a decent blanket. Would have liked a vent in the bathroom to filter out "unpleasant" scents. The pool had way too much chlorine but it makes sense with all the urine that is released on a daily basis...maybe post a sign that reads "No urinating in pool."

The bellboy was amazing and the location was great! But the $35 charge to park your car one time is ridiculous. Also the a/c in the room wouldn't cool. We burned up all night. Could barely sleep.

My absolute favorite thing was the real shuddered Windows, floor to ceiling that actually opened up to the French quarter. Like you could hang out the window and watch the groups go by on the haunted New Orleans tours. The fact that they stopped in front of my hotel was only slightly nerve racking The room smelled a little like mold and my ears and throat itched all night. Also, the toilet seat was loose and threatened to throw you on the floor everyone you sat on it.
Hotel room was beautiful. Loved our car was inside the courtyard, safe and close. Can't wait to go back.

At first I thought the location was good but at 3am a large group of bums would gather outside of our room fighting,singing,and yelling very loudly-so much that we were scared for our safety. They would not accept our travelocity reservations and tried to charge My credit card again, even though it was already paid for. We did not get the rooms we asked for with two queen beds. The restaurant was closed the entire time we were there too. For the price we paid the tiny room should have had a refrigerator or at least a coffee maker.

The room was wonderful with a large king sized bed and beautiful declarations throughout. The included breakfast was a little "holiday inn" but I can't really complain for the price or the accommodation.
Location and over-priced hotel in the Quarter. I was here for my 60th birthday. I chose this hotel because I had been here before and had a great experience. Hotel allowed me to change rooms after the ants were reported twice and after my patience had run out. Ant problem in one of three rooms reserved for my 60th birthday. Since I have been here before the system is the following: they give you a really crappy room (interior dungeon room with no windows or a small, crappy and smelly room) you inform the front desk that you are not happy, they respond by saying they cannot do anything until the next day even though the hotel seemed to be fairly empty and it was at check-in time and finally you are allowed to move yourself the following day. The rates are all over the place, they change on a day to day basis. I reserved one of the rooms at full price because I wanted to make sure my birthday accommodations were great and I received a very disappointing, smelly, cramped room with a tiny bathroom. Unhelpful front desk. Overall a sad experience.
very close to canal street and Bourbon street. Able to walk there. Great location for walking to these site attractions. The bed was very sqeaky anytime I moved. To go to bathroom you had to step up and I kept hitting my foot on the upstep to go in. So I kept reminding my mother to take a step up when she entered it so she wouldn't fall.
The hotel was old which isn't always a bad thing. Our door to our room fell off the hinges and we literally had to sleep with our door opened and unlocked. :( we called downstairs and no one answered. Very dissatisfied Just not comfy and dated. Front desk clerk did not make me happy with how she handled the door situation. She asked me "What do you want me to do?" I don't feel I should ask. I didn't have privacy in a room with females. You think they would bend over backwards to satisfy us. Not the case. Very disappointing.

Great hotel. Front desk clerk never told me there was going to be a charge for parking. I assume it was included. Wish I would of know instead of paying $35 per night. I felt like i was tricked into it.
The location couldn't be better - right on Decatur in the French Quarter. And the price was great. If you're looking for an affordable place to crash after a hard night in the quarter, this is a good hotel. The parking is absolutely terrible - the spaces are so small I couldn't get out of the car. Afterwards I learned they have valet parking, but that didn't help me when I pulled in as there were no signs and no attendants outside. Besides, there's no way the valet can get in/out without hitting your door on the car next to you. The concierge was very rude. She insisted that I refer to my girlfriend as my wife - this is the French Quarter, I expect to not have to justify my life choices to the concierge. The pool is nice, but rather small, and when I visited it was very unclean. As guests we had access to the Hotel Monteleone rooftop pool 2 blocks away - but for just $25 more I could have booked my room at Monteleone anyway. The decor reminded me of my grandmother's guestroom, the elevator took a full minute to make it up one floor, the towels weren't soft - I could go on. If you're looking for a cheap place to crash in the quarter, I recommend this hotel. But otherwise I'd spend a little extra cash and stay at one of the much nicer hotels in the area.
The hotel felt very French, romantic, and quaint. It was in a perfect location and within walking distance to the wedding we were attending that night. The rooms were cozy and the balcony was nice. Somehow my reservation was saved under the name "Judith" (not sure if this was a mistake on Kayak's end, or the hotel's), and the staff treated me as if I had done something wrong. My name is not/has never been/isn't even close to Judith, so there's no way I accidentally gave them the wrong name. I entered the hotel to check in with the three friends who were also in the room, and they couldn't find the reservation and I had to ask "ok so what do I do?" and they told me to call whoever I booked the reservation through. The woman at the desk was rude and unhelpful overall, and finally, after we got the whole thing sorted out she noticed that the reservation had been made for two people instead of four (all four of us were standing at the desk) and she proceeded to charge us and additional $50 for the extra people. Of course, I was dishonest about the number of us in the room, but an extra $50 just seemed unnecessary seeing as we only planned to sleep there and not use an abundance towels, or even eat breakfast. The frustrating thing is that my emails from Kayak are addressed to me, with my real name, so I think the mistake was actually on the hotel's end and yet they were extremely unkind and did not apologize for anything. It was just bad business practice, but I suppose with a location as great as this one they'll continue to fill rooms no matter the customer service. Also the price for parking was just insane. I recommend looking for other places to park; a few of my other friends found a nearby lot for $15 overnight parking.
Perfect location, very nice rooms and beautiful pool area. Staff was incredible and probably the nicest pet friendly hotel I have ever stayed in. Very close to all the fun, Harrah's casino, Cafe du Monde, house of blues, Bourbon St. We walked everywhere had a blast and never even thought about a cab. Nothing, the hotel was great and New Orleans is one of my new favorite cities on the planet!
Staff and location are incredible. Hotel is beautiful. Breakfast was poor.
Location was fantastic. Staff was very friendly. The air conditioner in one of our rooms was not working properly, even after a maintenance person came to service it.
