Rooftop pool, buffet breakfast When I booked with Kayak the price was $195/night but I ended up paying $239/night + taxes.
Walk to All Monreal has to offer, Old City/St. Catherine St./Chinatown take Elevater to the Lobby, Fantastic Rooftop with Heated Pool & Spa complete the experience Beds were very Comfortable Metro next door Parking under hotel Had to walk stairway to get to my room
Our room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. Although we had heard some concerns about night time noise, the hotel was quiet during our stay. The pool was lovely as ever, and a hot tub has been added since our last stay. The water temperature was just right in both pool and hot tub. Lockers for your clothes are free. The exercise room is nice. The duck pond was fun to watch. A hotel the size of the Bonaventure could really use three hot tubs, especially since (unlike many hotels) the pool is so popular. We thought the hotel restaurants were a little expensive, although there are some reasonable dining options in the levels below Place Bonaventure. The carpeting in the hallways looks very worn, but on closer inspection, it's the pattern.
Unique experience superior location kind and helpful staff. Asked for a room with great view in quiet location and this was delivered. We arrived early and our bags were cared for and again the next day after checkout. It was an experience to swim and hottub on a roof top and see ducks swimming in a pond with large spruce trees outside while eating great breakfast buffet the next morning again on a roof top. Took someone special to Montreal for her 77th birthday and she was so impressed with our stay, the staff and the facilities that we have decided to make an annual event. That we didn't have more time
Friendly staff, clean rooms, great maid-service, comfortable bed. Nice, spacious work-out facility, free newspaper. Great location for getting onto the metro. Definitely, it would be a good place, I can imagine, to stay in, during a winter visit. Pricey buffet. Didn't eat there because of cost. 25 dollars per person. Wifi only worked well in the closet or bathroom locations, in our room. The exterior and interior of the hotel are concrete. So, at first I had a feeling of being incarcerated. However, I adjusted and realized many buildings Montreal are similarly constructed.
The pool and convenience to downtown are big pluses at this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Quiet rooms. We hope to come back again.
Service was not good
-Facility was great -Very clean -Felt luxurious -Good service -Hotel employees were on strike and it was uncomfortable to cross picket lines, some amenities unavailable, but overall regular service seemed unaffected.
Incredibly close to the Bell Center. Easy access in and out of the city. Roof top gardens and pool. Beds were very comfortable and clean. Staff was also friendly and helpful. Small bathroom and lack of inexpensive television options.
The hotel looked much nicer online . The room was clean and the location is just alright. The noise was awful you can hear everything in the hall. I could even hear my neighbors phone ringing a ton. The AC units were extremely loud and the water pressure in the bathroom would drop making a hissing/squeaking noise after use. Another pet peeve is no fan in the bathroom and the doors have glass on them so when you turn the light on at night you could potentially be waking up your partner or anyone else with you. The parking garage underground is tight and super low, my Jeep Wrangler almost didn't make the height clearance. Wasn't impressed one bit by this hotel very over rated.
We had a great stay. What was particularly appreciated was that we arrived well before check-in time (8 hrs early) and were rewarded with the exact room we booked with no extra charge. Lovely facilities too.
Located within the heart of Montreal with easy access to metro stations
Comfort and closely located to the business Fair.
The atmosphere in the reception and foyer area and friendliness of staff in dining room
The staff was very friendly. More so than most other places we have stayed. NA
Bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. That I couldn't stay longer!
Affordable choice in downtown, and beds are very comfortable. Hotel staff called around for us on Easter Sunday to see which restaurants would be open before sending us out. Normally I love the hot tub at this Sheraton. Unfortunately during our stay it was out of order, which is a huge bummer. Not that it will make or break a trip, but when you're deciding between a few hotels in the area at the same price point and allowed that to influence your decision a little, it's a letdown. Also, this is 2015 - who charges for WiFi?
This was a great place to stay. In my opinion, the Sheraton has the best beds. The room was very nice, the staff was friendly, and the location was excellent. I will try to book at this hotel the next time that I visit Montreal. no.
its location in down city its service and the message but busy
Frokosten var MEGET bra og at de også hadde muligheter for servering ute under glassstak var også fint. Det var også praktisk med kontantautomat i fojaeen. 1.Sårbart nettverk. (Bodde der til sammen 6 netter fordelt over to perioder.
The view from the 21st floor The wifi wasn't working and no obe would help
Staff was friendly and helpful. Free WiFi and Hotel was underneath the metro which made things easy if you know where your going. Bathroom was small and the main restaurant in the lobby was a bit pricey.
Metro is right under the hotel. Walking distance to almost all attractions, if you're used to walking (Old Montreal, the Cathedral, Chinatown) Older hotel. Old elevator. Mall in the hotel is not very lively at all. Garaged parking is quite expensive CAN$25-34. You can park on the street for free after certain hours.
Maybe its good for extended stay or business travler no concierge service we had to wait just about 45 minutes for service
The location and room was absolutely wonderful. Loved everything about my stay
Burger sliders at the bar was dry and rancid
Clean rooms and great location for Montréal. No hottub, also the staff didn't serve our request for double beds even though we booked two double beds. They came up with a story how they are sorry and that it's not available even though we booked it. No refund or anything was given either. Be careful what you pay - we paid extra for double beds and didn't get them.
Nice hotel at central location, nice gym, comfy bed and room. Noisy A/C - asked to fix, but guy claimed that's the normal noise level for their equipment, weird. And in one day, there were no hot water in shower for long time, had to take an almost cold one - water did come in about hour later.
Housekeeping staff and concierge were nice and helpful. Food was blah and exorbitantly priced. Salads for two: over $50; breakfast buffet for two: over $50. What a complete waste of money! Save yourself time and money and grab a quick bite in the cafe a few shops down the hall or better yet at an outdoor cafe. The front desk staff were rude. when I checked in, I was told I had booked a king (needed a double), and that I was lucky they weren't sold out, so he was able to give me a room with a double (after sufficient attitude was delivered my way). I later found my confirmation email that clearly stated "deluxe double room". If I can find an alternate, clean hotel, I won't stay here again.
Dirty bed linens
i reserved a room wih two beds. I wss given a room with a king. I requested extra bedding so that my friend and I could separate in the bed somewhat. The concierge promised to provide this. She never sent any extra bedding. The sheets that were in my room had a hole in them and there was hair in my shower.
Great support staff, everyone was courteous, friendly, and helpful. and I do mean everyone at the hotel. Being located over the metro was big convenience to access subway system, Why is breakfast always so pricey? It's too easy to spend $75-$100 for a family of four...
Key card didn't work, had to return to desk. Parking garage was under construction with no signs on where to park. Attendant made me move the car 3 times. Front desk failed to mention the parking problems I might encounter. At early checkout the clerk looked up from reading a paper, then resumed reading instead of serving me Tiny bathroom, small room
It was modern, sleek, clean, and comfortable. Can speak French or English. Our King room had a sofa bed and fridge and LOTS of room to move around. Very spacious. Only a small window with no view, but the size of the room made up for it. Comfortable bed, but on the soft side. Had a small gym with TV although a few of the settings on the elliptical and bike didn't work for me. Centrally located between Mont Royal parc and Vieux Montreal where we wanted to walk to. Nothing special about the neighborhood, but it felt safe. Parking options were across the street in a separate uncovered lot or down the street in a covered garage. We chose across the street and it was fine although we had to load out in the rain and there is no cover for the cars, just street parking in front of the hotel. For the price in a big city, we found it more than adequate for the money. The resto lounge one the 2nd floor wasn't complete yet, so some of the offerings listed actually didn't exist yet.
clean, location was great as it was right off of Saint Catherine there was an excessive amount of loud banging from construction or something (that we were not advised of). particularly early morning too!
The location was great and there was inexpensive parking nearby. We had a couple of problems with our room and, while the staff was helpful, they didn't seem too concerned about any of it and didn't take any extra steps to make sure we were statisfied.
Awesome location, good sized room (king), powerful AC, quiet & comfortable. I arrived by motorcycle and the guy at front desk just stared at me like I was an alien. I asked about motorcycle parking and he told me to park in a lot around the corner, but I found out there's free street parking for motorcycles. And just being picky, the shampoo/moisturizer bottles were all opened by prior guest(s).
For the price we paid we felt that it was too high because there was no breakfast included That there was no continental breakfast. There was only one functioning elevator which made the trips up & down too long
Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. It is a good Central locarion close to many shops and bars. Hotel has no parking. We had to park in a lot accross the street.
The location was great. No matter which directiin you went you were close to something of interest. Sraff was excellent and the room was ckean and neat with lots of room to put things,
Location Small fridge Dirty floor. Not clean when we got there, and not cleaned for 3 days Lacks dressers Bad tv quality
The location was great, the room was clean, the staff friendly. The small restaurant was good place for breakfast. I stayed 3 night, not 13 The common showers could have been cleaner
Central location; close to airport busstop; close to metro; free Wi-Fi; kitchen facility; good value for Montreal Reception could be a little bit friendlier; wi-fi signal in my room was too weak; I had to go in the corridor to get a signal; shower a bit weak
Only a few minutes walk to the Bell Centre and within walking distance to shopping and historic downtown. Airport shuttle stop less than a block from the door. Room was tiny but served me fine and the price could not be beaten for the location. Even had a mini fridge and sink in room but I did have to go down the hall for shared washroom which was expected. Great staff. Everything clean and tidy. Lots of noise from the street and air conditioner did not cool room.
Very good location. Very nice staff helped us keeping our valuables in a safe place. Wired Internet in rooms. Very low water pressure in shower. Very poor quality toilet paper. Need to ask the front desk for shampoo. I would like to pay 5$ to not have to deal with little issues like these.
HotelY is at an excellent location in Montréal. Bus 747 drops you off at Ave. R.-Lesveque, in which the hotel is located, only a few houses further (take stop nr. 3, when you come from the Airport, not nr. 2 as indicated on the map). On the way back to the airport, the closest stop is nr. 2., just next to the hotel. The stuff was professional and helpful (also in the bar on the ground floor). The common kitchen on the sixth floor is spacious enough and was not crowded when I was there. The free line internet connection was excellent and I appreciated the fridge a lot. There are a few supermarkets in the neighbourhood: Mourelatos, Provigo and PA Supermarché. For people who stay longer the laundry and the iron are probably also of great value While in general the room gave a clean and tidy impression, I had minor issues with the cleanness/state of the room. E.g. a dirty underwear was under the bed and a condom behind the night table (where the internet connection was), the smoke detector was completely covered with paper (presumably one of the previous guests smoked in the room, but I did not smell any cigarette), the battery of the remote control of the TV set and of the clock in the kitchen were broken.
Staff is amazing. Super nice.
the location was excellent, the room was a good value for the money. The room is small but comfortable and bed was good. Safe and Clean hotel/room and staff were helpful. Parking was an issue and moderatly expensive $20/ night (there was a hockey game that night) . traffic volume & noise on the street was disruptive. The TV could be upgraded.
Location Shared bathroom and absence of parking
Affordable downtown hostel. Shower room could use some cleaning.
The room itself is decent value - private room with sink, fridge, and tv. Doors slam with some frequency, so it's hard to get a good night's sleep. The bed was a little flimsy, so I found that it moved whenever I shifted around. Last thing - I felt kind of itchy all night long. Not sure if my skin was just irritated by something, or if there were some type of critter biting me.
Great location, great price. Very clean. Very attentive and friendly service. The internet was a little spotty.
Michel at the front desk was rude. Had us wait while he was inputting something into the computer. We only wanted to check out and he didn't even acknowledge us. Customers are always a priority and this hotel didn't provide good customer service. The hallways smelled like dirty laundry and at night nothing was soundproof as we could hear everything from the hallway and kept waking us up. Would never stay here again.
Location, comfortable beds, laminate flooring. Breakfast was not great. Told buffet only but others ordered fresh eggs and bacon. Bugs in bathroom.
Very near to so many nice places in the city of Montreal. Few minutes walk to a lot of restaurant and few minutes walk to the Metro. Pet friendly accept cats and we really appreciate it. The housekeeping staff are friendly as well. We will definitely come back You need to pay for your parking even though you are a hotel guest
So convenient, close to the Bell Center. Friendly staff
STAFF ARE VERY GOOD. LOBBY ALWAYS FULL OF SOME STRANGERS ON WILLCHAIRS WITH KIDS. ONE OF NIGHT WAS VERY VERY LOUD IN A CORRIDOR FROM BUNCH OF DRUNK PEOPLE.
There is free coffee at the front desk and in the rooms. The rooms themselves were fairly decent with comfy beds, free wifi, and a mini fridge (empty, but useful for leftovers). The hotel also offers parking in their garage for about $22/day, where we left our car for the weekend, walking everywhere, except for 1 late night, round trip on the metro (too cold to walk all the way to the Plateau Mont Royal neighborhood of the city). There is a station just behind the hotel a bit. This hotel worked for our stay for the weekend, located just on the edge of downtown Montreal, but my fiance and I agree that we will stay somewhere else next time. The "fitness center" is a small room with 1 treadmill, 1 elliptical, 1 bench press machine, 2 abs stations, and 1 multi-station piece of equipment. There are some free weights, but some are missing. There is a water cooler and towels, but no sanitation cleaner or wipes and the room looks like it belongs in the basement of a shabby home. The lobby is not much to speak about either. You also are not allowed to check-in before their standard check-in time. They will not even look to see if the room is available (we arrived just after 2pm, but had to wait until 3pm to check-in).
Pool was little dirty
The staff was very polite and helpful, especially Eric at the front desk. The room we were given was one of the nicest I've ever stayed in. Our suite had s full living room, a dining room table, refrigerator/freezer combo, one and a half baths, and an incredible shower. Everything was newly renovated and gorgeous. It was also only a short walk to the Bell Centre and Old Montreal and a short cab ride to some fantastic restaurants. The room did smell like smoke, unfortunately. We were able to ignore it, however.
WiFi is free but hard to get. Even though you have password and stuff it will kick you out now and then. It took us 15 minutes sometimes just to login. Other than that it's ok hotel Wifi is slow and hard to connect. Don't get there before checking because they will charge you extra for early chek-in. Also, you can't leave your car in their garage after your check-out - they will charge you extra. The rate for garage is not $20/day as they say but ¢24.99, wich is in American currency is a bit more. I would give them 3 stars though. if you're not looking for nothing special and need a place that is close to everything - this is your hotel!
We got upgraded to a suite because a std room was going to be 2 double beds which is not acceptable for us. I wasn't spending my nights in Montreal with my husband and I in separate beds nor crammed in a double bed. The front desk clerk gave us a free upgrade to a suite which is probably why I was happy. The elevator waits were over 5 minutes at any given time.
Espresso is in a great location. It has covered parking and is an incredible value for the price. I have stayed there numerous times and will be back. Very easy to walk from the hotel. The room is very nice and has a small fridge.
I liked how it was close to the Bell center and to saint Catherine's street :)! The pool was only open till 8 and when I tried going to the restaurant the next morning I was confused and didn't understand so ended up walking somewhere else to eat
Our room was just so tastefully decorated, a real joy to come back to each night!
The hotel was really clean and cozy. The breakfast was incredible and the staff very friendly and professional. The room was very cold, maybe the air conditioner could be set a little lower.
The room was charming and the breakfast beyond the best.
It was very charming--nicely appointed and comfortable rooms, elegant breakfast, port at night, attentive staff
all of it -- very helpful staff, charming room, wonderful facilities with the kitchen and superb breakfast
people are very kind and helpful. no lift, spiral steps...a bit more far to the city centre than I expect.
The nice atmosphere, facilities and the hospitality of the recepcionist. The breakfast was outstanding. You can even drink a nice Porto wine in the kitchen which is nothing in cost, but a great value for customers. I would repeat as many times as I could if I visit Montreal again. Absolutelly advisable. Nothing
fantastic hotel, right in the middle of town close to Centre Bell, the Temple of Hockey. Staff was very friendly, room was amazing (brownstone style, high ceilings. definately go for the suite with the jacuzzi
Staff was very friendly, location very convenient, included breakfast was really good.
Breakfast was wonderful.
the location of the hotel was great for sporting events, restaurants, bars etc. this hotel needs a severe overhaul, drywall, carpeting, elevator, balconies were in rough shape.
We loved it's location! Lots to do nearby! We walked up and down the strip and we're also close to our appointment and able to walk to it the next morning. The bed was conmfy! Hotel is showing its age... cold water and hot water both ran warm to hot... there was no cold water to drink. Breakfast was good but there were fruit flies buzzing around.
The elevator ism't good.
The location of the hotel in the center of the downtown Not at all
Good location Nothing good ...if I had not been so tired and with a car,,i would have left immediately ..this place should be condemned and it was not fair to charge this rate while I stayed in toronto at Sutton place for promotional rate of 119 per night..and this place was more money and inhabitable. I should not have been required to pay and in fact we should have been paid to stay there..as it is a fire hazard and unsafe
location to shopping no
Location, very close to Bell center and Montreal Canadiens homegames which was the reason we came to Montreal.
Close to downtown at a budget price. Hotel is very run down.
The guy at the front desk was nice. The room was big. Bed was comfortable. Good pizza downstairs and brewpubs across the street. First thing we noticed were 3 garbage bags outside our hotel room. Shower had black mold, drain was clogged and bathtub floor was lifting up. Lights were unplugged (?), TV was probably 20 yrs old but sort of worked with a bit of a flicker. Only in town for one night but would likely have gone somewhere else if we were staying longer.
location Construction site next door, jack hammer started at 7:00am every weekday, also breakfast area under renovation. Would have been nice to know when booking
Location was perfect. Presentation of the lobby was very poor. Ceiling had patches with boards and looked very shabby. Upon check in we asked a few local questions but the front desk clerk was not helpful at all.
It was very clean Construction next door started at 6am - loud as hell
