Most of the guests didn't venture into the sea probably because of the surf and as a result it was very peacefull and enjpyable. The villa we stayed at didn't represent the star ranking of the hotel and the price charged at all.
We found the resort and staff to be lovely. We will surely come back to stay again!
The pool is nice I didnt like the location, and i dont like where the breakfast is eaten in a dining room i think its nicer if it is outside.
privecy , serves , location , nuturalty , reseptionest
services, facilities, kindness of everyone climatisation that stops when you leave your room
We would definetely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants relaxed vacations in a quite environment but at the same time near Chaweng's Downtown ( 5 minutes with a cheap tuk-tuk or taxi). We loved everything in this hotel, from the friendly and smiley staff to the great (and not expensive) food at the restaurant , the rich breakfast buffet, the excellent spa, the beach (better and definitely cleaner than Chaweng's central beach) and the beautiful gardens. We stayed at a Nora pool villa which turned to be an excellent option with private swimming pool surrounded by beautiful flowers and trees, beautiful and spacious interior ,cleaned every day.The service by the staff was great from the reception to the girls at the restaurant and the drivers Understanding staff's english was sometimes difficult but that is because of the different thai pronunciation. At the end we get used at the local pronunciation ...so...no problem at all.
it was very good , the service and location great we needed to check out one day earlier due to our boy being sick and wanted to get him back to his doctors. we explained to staff and they still required one day payment, even though resort was not full and we had already stayed 6 days...this was not good or accomodating
Great location, even though right in centre of Chaweng, once in the resort you cannot hear street noise. Staff we're very friendly & helpful and we even got upgraded. Would stay there again!!
The location was perfect, you are so close to all the shops, restaurant and bars yet still on the beach front and is as quiet or as loud as you want it to be. The (second) room we were in was lovely with a massive comfy bed. The high-touches this hotel has to offer are some of the best I have ever seen. I emailed the resort to request an upgrade before we went but they didn't respond which I thought was quite bad. The first room we were put in was horrible and right next to all the construction work, to say the least I was very dissapointed, but we were moved to a lovely room the next day over looking the pool. Pay the extra and get a nice room it will make a big difference! Drinks and food are fairly expensive at this resort compared to what else is around, also the bars close at 6pm and 8pm which is a bit silly but there is plenty else around.
On the beach location. Serenity of the gardens No
Walking distance to beach, very convenient, spas pubs cafe shopping all within walking distance Service attitude (could have been better)
The garden (Square) pool is excellent, along with the location next to the beach. Lots of deck chairs. Could Improve their food quality compared to other hotels within the region.
Great food, staff, facilities, landscaping, location. Couldn't have been happier here. Room could be a bit bigger, and didn't like only having one key.
Great location and the hotel is very nice The AC wasn't working properly - and it was hot in the room
Bedrooms are well appointed, spacious and comfortable. I was upgraded from a deluxe bedroom to a superior bedroom, however there was noise during the day due to refurbishment. Not really a complaint as refurbishment was clearly stated on website. Hotel will go from good to excellent when work is completed.
The ambience made for a relaxing and very pleasant stay, and the staff were extreemly helpful.
The care an attention of the staff, the privacy of the villas and the luxury of the accommodation (villas). Nothing.
Nice hotel environment with leisure feelings. Breakfast providing with good selection of food especially all with coverings to get rid of small flying insects.
The hotel is very new, very good location, just 10 minutes from the airport by car. Breakfast is very rich, coffee is freshly made, great scenery restaurant, facing the sea. The attitude of hotel staff very good, and very enthusiastic. Chaweng Beach poor quality, very few people swim in the sea.
The rooms are state of the art and the staff are efficient and professional The distance from the main attractions
not much, the room was ok but was more expensive and less nice than all the other places i stayed on this most recent trip to thailand. the service was terrible, the worst i ever had in thailand. staff barely spoke english and seemed perpetually confused, some were actually very rude which i have never experienced in thailand anywhere. very disappointing, a horrible place.
Good located near city centre and beach front, good services and nice and friendly staff, not to big hotel and therefore more personal The sea was polluted in front of the Hotel, only this part of the beach, other areas more left and right no polution, the Hotel Management need to find out the cause of this polution, should be clear sea water!!
The hotel is great - good design, helpful and easy going staff, very clean and spacious rooms, excellent restaurant and great beach. The only backside was the cleanlinessof the sea right in front of the hotel (lots of seaweeds). But that didn't bother too much)
the rooms are clean ,drinks at very good price, beach is very clean and food is good the reception staff unfriendly, unflexable for late check, internet slow,tv cannels are limited and housekeeping not giving enough water and washing soaps
amazing hotel so beautiful staff always friendly and curtious were greeted with flower garlands and a cool drink lovely touch, room best have ever stayed in stunning very spacious and design beautiful cannot fault this hotel, near to chaweng action but away enough to relax in peace nothing it was stunning
We really enjoyed the luxurious rooms with the large beds and the jacuzzi on the deck outstide where you could relax and look at the lovely palm trees and ocean. The staff were very friendly and the food was lovely. The proximity to the beach was also great as you didn't have to go too far to dip into the water.
Ingen. Heeeelt perfekt!
The situation.Middle Chewang Beach. My room had an adjoining door. Could hear everything happening in the other room,VERY noisy.
Close to the shopping street Breakfast is too expensive for what you get
location is great, comfort of the rooms as such is good; staff at the restaurant friendly (unlike some of the hotel reception staff) hotel-reception staff speak poor English, if at all; very basic "hotel-procedures" like arranging pick up of laundry at the room, late check out need like "5-minutes explanations".....by far not enough umbrellas/shadow on the beach; beach chairs and tables dirty (fries, ketch-up) and old: room 1015 somehow 'smelly', before and worse after service (vomit-smell after service on Feb 26)
good location on the beach our room had a aircon leak from the roof,so everyday we had a pool of water on the floor.security guy talked to my thai girlfriend like she was a prostitute,we were sitting on the beach for sunrise as we came back to the room he talked to her like she was dirt.other than that was ok place to stay
That I was no longer trapped in Bangkok... The wi-fi only worked for a few hours and, of course, there was no refund
Please write at least 15 words
The location The resort's exteriors have been painted in loud colours, no lifts for higher floors, room related complaints not addressed promptly
The proximity to the beach and the chairs available. The room was very hot. The front door was not sealed. Allowing bugs etc to get in.
The photo's on the website are old and given an misplaced impression. They show the old baan samui, without the dominant colors. Our stay was fine, near to the beach and the food was good. The many colors.
location all services too expensive, hotel was 25% occupied; beer costs 140 bath; normal in samui 70 bath or lower
This hotel deseives its fourth star! It is located on the beach, with the restaurant having a great view of the bay. It is really relaxing. The difference between the pool view and the garden view is limited
friendly staff, rooms clean and comfortable.good location.no problems would stay there again.
The staff was professional, polite, and attentive. My reservation including room type and reserved parking space were perfectly in order without fuss. Assistance and information from front desk staff was always helpful. The complimentary breakfast was healthy, delicious, and well served. My room was always cleaned and stocked with towels, bottled water, and coffee. The Wifi was available almost everywhere on the property and generally fast enough for any media. The hotel room safe was large enough for all valuables and easy to use. The beach basket with huge beach towels was a nice surprise and very convenient. Towels and clothes were easily hung to dry outside on the classy wooden dowels and the ample supply of hangers. Rental Jet Skis terrorized the swimming area everyday. This is annoying and dangerous. I complained to the front desk as I was checking out. Remembering to bring the "breakfast coupon" each day was annoying.
Friendly, helpful service and a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere right on the beach. The beds were a bit too hard. If you love your luxurious showers you might find the water pressure a little weak here.
the staff were very helpful and friendly- the photos on the website do not do the hotel justice!
Good spacious and clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Very friendly staff. Good pool area. Great location on the beach.
The hotel has almost empty beach shore, so you won't have problems with sunbed availability. Cocktails where also excellent and for a good price (135 baht). Mosquito nets are the things that this hotel surely miss. You're won't be able to get some fresh air without letting some of these creatures inside your room. The staff also opens the doors wide during cleanup, so we had to spend 15 minutes each evening prior getting sleep to cat and kill these bastards. I wish hotel manager was more helpful as he refused to refund us an extra room that we booked for our friends (they didn't come).
The hotel was lovely, very clean and the staff couldnt do enough for you. Our room was a Grand Deluxe Jacuzzi Room and was fab, the jacuzzi on the balcony was amazing overlooking the sea. The pool was lovely and the views were amazing, only downside was there wasnt that many sun loungers and towards the end of our stay it got busy and sometimes you couldnt get one, but there is the roof top to sunbathe on also. It is in a great location in Chaweng right on the edge of the busy town, it is on a very steep hill and quite hard to walk up, but they do cart people up and down on buggys. The breakfasts were very expensive, 600 baht which is about £12, but if you go into the town you can get a feast for about 400 baht for 2 people.
Everything! I was so surpised about this hotel, it really is luxury. The staff could not do enough for us. Its 5mins drive from the main strip which was exactly what we needed peace and quite during the day relaxing by the beatiful pool and a short taxi to the hustle and bustle at night. We could not believe this hotel was the same price as a three star in the main strip. Good luck trying to sleep in the centre of chaweng..its very noisey and kind of has a sewage problem but still fun none the less.
The rooms & scenic view from the room was really nice. They were a bit un-professional, cause the hotel staff made me & my family check in a particular room & then later in the evening they come & asked us to shift the room & they told me that it was a mistake. It was very insulting for us since we had to shift from one side to another & we had to go through the hassel of packing our things & then moving to the new room. This kind of mistake is not acceptable from such a well reputed hotel. I tried to talk to the GM but whenever i called they receptionist told me that he is not available. Above all I felt insulted cause my younger daughter thought that since I cant pay/afford the bill we were shifted.
The interior or the rooms is stylish and beautiful, the bed has real high quality, the view to the ocean is fantastic and the large balcony is special. We booked luxury jacuzzi suite but thought about up or downgrading because the luxury rooms and suites have no ocean view and no large balcony and also indoor jacuzzi, so you pay more but get less. The honeymoon suite we choosed was fantastic with a 25 sqm balcony with jacuzzi and day sofa bed. The pool was nice, we didn´t tried the restaurant because our walks at the beach gave us opportunity to choose from the several restaurants at chaweng beach. The way to beach is short, but in the end at the hotel really steep. The resort looks with its oversea villas nice. The staff is very friendly. As mentioned before, you have carefully to read what you book, to get clearer informations the KC website helps. In my view I can only recommend highly the rooms with seaview and large balcony.
It's a very nice hotel with a lovely view and a great swimming pool In high season I could imagine the hotel to be quite crowded. In low season we had a lovely stay - sometimes service took its time (as normal in Thailand).
The hotel was good quality and the views from the front of the hotel was excellent The hotel was not close enough to the centre and up a very big hill. The pool area was nice but due to the location was in the shade from 2pm onwards.
Great location just outside the very busy Chaweng. Jacuzzi on the balcony was a novelty and a relaxing way to end a busy day.
The interior of the rooms and standard of the room where outstanding, as where the friendly, accommodating staff. Though the quality of service and food was always high, the hotel, being recently opened lacked consistency, e.g. the same dishes ordered on two different days where cooked and served entirely differently. Same was the case for the service.
Perfect view over the sea, and the staff is very friendly. Very expensive to eat and drink at the hotel. The prices are 4 double compared to downtown. Only 3 times shuttle to the city - would recommend to hire a scooter to get around.
Great location if u wnt to relax, as it is at the quite end of the beach. Beautiful sourroundings pool, & restaurant on beach side. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Guests on hillside should not have excess to pool on beach side, as it would be crowding in peak season. Same with restaurants. All foods should be covered, like cakes, & jams because of the flys. Bar fridge could be left empty and have a menu if u want to order beverages from the hotel. Extra towels in bathroom!
The position of the resort was perfect, close to the bustling chawang beach, but secluded enough to feel like you have the beach to yourself. The reception staff could have been just a little more professional, but the staff as a whole were great.
Friendly, helpful staff. Spacious rooms, good location right in front of the beach Quite a walk to some of the hillside rooms
Excellent room size and poolside facilities, leads onto the beach, nice and relaxing, reasonably quet end of the beach Rooms were too far from the beach/poolside bars etc. 115 steps between my room and the beach, a lift only covvers the final 10, I was physically tired and dizzy every time I had to go to my room
The large rooms, The large bathroom, the beautiful 2 pools. The good breakfasts. How far out of town it was.. or at least too far to walk in the heat. More shuttles to town would have improved this.
The room was beautiful and well maintained. The hotel staff was very friendly and went out of their way to accomodate my wife and I. The hotel also provided a high quality breakfast each morning. The hotel charges a very high fee for providing guest services. Everything from laundry and internet to booking trips is significantly marked up. Aside from the room and a decent beach the resort doesn't provide any benefit of being a guest. Lastly the hotel is somewhat removed from the main section of Chaweng Beach.
The location its perfect, clean place modern decoration nice staff...... The hotel its poor in exercise equipment
The space and cleanliness of the room, as well as the facilities. The fact that the deluxe hillside was up a hill away from the main part of the hotel, away from the beach.
Hotel staff extremely nice. Food is good, enough choice in my opinion. Very good location, close to Chaweng center but not in the middle of the attractions. Beautiful beach but not enough sunbeds, must be crowded during the high season. Same for the pool. Lack of privacy; unless you play your ipod you can follow conversations.
I liked the rooms, firm bed, good internet. Breakfast was large, mixing asian and American Breakfast well. All food was fresh, and well prepared. When booking the hotel based on the pictures and information about the hotel, you get the impression the hotel is 100% on the water side. It was miss leading. I anticipated getting a room on the side where the water was, not necessarily on the water. It turns out they have another portion of the hotel across the street. The street is busy and a pain to get to the beach. The only good part to this negativity was they did serve a separate breakfast for those people on the hillside. They were unwilling to make a change even though they had space.
Had stayed here for one night the previous week but came back for another 4 nights. Attentive staff without being too "in your face", big spacious clean rooms and bathrooms, two big pool areas and beach area too, plenty of dining choices, good buffet breakfast It was quite expensive to eat in the hotel. for example a soft drink cost 80B. These cost 20B in a 7/11 and 25B in another top hotel which we stayed in.
The staff were very friendly and helpful The walk into the centre of chaweng beach in the evenings was about 13 minutes
A lot of thanks to maneger of hotel, very professional attitude!
it's very near to the city centre. The hotel was value for money and internet free without extra charges.
nothing really. check reviews on sawdee .com only rated 6.5 % had hotel a lot longer than you guys They forgot to pick us up at the airport !! we have 2 children hanging around in the heat was no fun paid for own taxi ! ! they were not terribly interested we were there it was very expensive for what it offered eg tired rooms ,need a refresh not like photos and 2 bed family room very small . This is a new one on your website I would leave this one if I was you, as we cancelled after one night still had to pay for another the policy is stay one night then cancel you pay for 2nights !! another £130 pounds for nothing, luckily the Kirikayan Boutique resort the other one you have was amazing and much much cheaper beautiful rooms, staff amazing a typical 5 star resort we would very much like our extra 5500 baht paid back for all the distress
the location of the hotel is the best near the beach ,the night life and in the middle of the center of the city. the reception is close early at 11 pm.
Great value for money. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.Excellent security and very clean. The Room is close to the beach, supermarket and shopping area. Also easy access to airport and all types of transport. I was extremely happy during my stay and could not complain about anything.
Nice new room, clean and confortable. Staff very nice and helpfull. I strongly recomand this hotel! Also in a good location, quiete with many facilities and the beach nearby.
Bed was very good! And they chanched every day. Location I think is good. Not really in the center but also is not too far. If u take scuter for 5 dollar its not important location. Carpet was stinky! But after few days this was not important.
Working hours of reception from 7.00 am till 11.00 pm. I think, it's better to work at night, IMHO.
on the beach, staff were friendly room was dirty, and smelled very musty
the hospitality was plesent it lookedmuch better in the pictures than fromreal life,it is a really avarage hotel, almost a hostel
The private, sandy beach is really great and good for families/kids, too. My "First room" included everything necessary for reasonable money. The resort itself is well kept and clean, swimming pool included. One can buy all necessary items at the surrounding shops. If you are keen on a long walk you can either go to Chawng or Lamai. But it will take you about 20-30 min minimum. Use a Tuk-tuk instead. Only thing not so fine was the fact that the transfer from and to the airport was not included in the price. So I had to pay 700 Baht extra...
very spacious and comfortable rooms, amazing swimming pool, fantastic beach, very close to town. the food in the restaurant for breakfast was not safe at all due to its exposure to open air and insects being around and on the food !!
Excellent breakfast, location, facilities, staff and organization Need free hotel transport to and from the airport.
Enjoying my holydays, the city was very close, either walk or bike taxis and taxis. the two beaches where excellent. the only thing was, the chairs on the beach where not clean, it seemd, nobody cared about them. and the prices in the restaurant are pretty high depending on the ones in the village.
Close proximity to the beach. Quiet, efficient air con. Great pool and lovely gardens which were extremely well looked after. The beach area was not looked after at all.
The rooms are absolutely breathtaking, the staff are the friendliest staff I have ever encountered and the value for money was out of this world. I don't think I can stay anywhere again and enjoy it as much!
Excellent, friendly hotel staff, generally very good food. Rooms were more than adequate, spacious, well set out, and very clean. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, even housekeeping asking if you were happy with everything in the room. Nice area at the beach with good pool and sun deck. On arrival many things were explained, about the hotel and surrounding area, it may have been better to produce a booklet so you had a record for future reference. A little pricey in the restaurants- but for Thailand, not for a five star hotel.
The resort facilities were good, was nice & relaxing Unprofessional when approaching a guest issue
The politeness of staff was excellent. Just the wirless internet service!!
Dip pool in villa. Very bland architecture and gardens; beach very unattractive.
The staff is helpful. Location is great. Altough you can walk to Chawana Town by the sea side, the neighbourhood is quite silent. Beach is not very convenient for swimming. The staff's English is very limited.
the rooms were very clean, nice smelling and fresh. the staff was polite and very friendly. the hotel was in great location
The staff went out of there way to make me comfortable, and the beauty of koh samui is unbeatable!
The rooms were clean enough and good looking. too small territory, no gym
The infinity pool and the beach location
seaside hotel, friendly staff, free canoe no free wifi.
Very nice and fairly small hotel with an Italian resturang with absolutely fantastic Italian food.
The hotel is situated in front of a beautiful beach (it is the most beautiful part in Chaweng, far away from noisy beach bars and too many people). The spa is very nice and its staff very professional. The entrance side to the rooms is not very nice (building on the left from reception). There are works in progress opposite the building and you don't have a nice view leaving or entering the room.
ambience to make the door into the bathroom opaque and with latch
Staff well mannered and pleasant. Well maintained Beach front below expectation of a beach hotel in Koh Samui. Parking facility is not adequate.
A nice, small hotel at the north end of Chaweng beach, meaning more quiet and relaxed (positive) than the most busy part of Chaweng. Nice pool, but a bit limited space around for sun chairs. Facilities OK - the restaurant is great! Has fantastic Italian as well as Thai food - all day! (and also a nice breakfast buffet). Friendly and helpful staff. Some of the rooms and villas needs upgrading, but we had a very nice villa close to the pool and restaurant. Beach/sea: you have to walk quite a bit for swimming (shallow water), and when high water, it goes all the way to the stairs to the hotel. But fantastic view from the pool, and nice area on "beach" for small children, playing football etc. More/bigger beach area just "next door", as well as water sports.
We were treated like family at this delightful stylish relaxing property with sensational views over an infinity pool to Chaweng Beach. Great water features in the main wing. The pool area is a little bit small so you have to be quick to secure a prime spot!
Everything. The building noise next door when in having a spa treatment. They offered 30% discount for hotel guests at spa, however because I didn't ask for it I didn't receive the discount.
We enjoyed the breakfasts and the attentive staff. We were close to everything we needed and nice beach frontge
the greenery, lighting, coconuts, beach... the pool is way too small and uninteresting. there could be a table with chairs inside to play cards or something..
Very good location, the rooms are clean and finely decorated in a typical thai style. The restaurant is really good and so it's its staff We stay in a superior room with a private deep pool ( but there were other costumers in their balqony just over the pool, so it came to be not so private).Building works were in process in the field next to the hotel, and it was very noisy since early in the morning. We were moved to other room on our request. the receptionists were not helpfull and quite unfriendly.
Not too big, not too small, just the right size hotel. Great service, great relaxing atmosphere. Great beach, excellent size villas.(we stayed room26) Breakfast was great too. Nothing we didn't like about this place or the staff. Cheap eats right in front of the hotel across the road called Ninja Crepes. Strange name yes but great cheap food! Yes there were some mosquitoes but in our room it didn't cause any isses. They make an effort to get rid of them with oils and sprays and good mosquito nets over the bed. (I got bitten but as soon as i put cream on it calmed down. Mosquitoes here are not visious.)
Directly on the beach, beautiful rooms comfortable and thai traditional.Quiet garden even if this hotel is on Chaweng beach road. Close to the restaurants and nightlife spots The pool is too small. Expensive hotel if you pay directly on the website. With Booking.com it's much better as I got 33% discount.
Very good location in centre of busy Chaweng beach. Small boutique style hotel excellent service, friendly staff ,pool and gardens very attractive , rooms very clean close to shopping Rooms were on the small side
the hotel was so clean and all the staff were so helpful. food was the best i ate whilst in samui. i would definitely reccomend to anybody absolutely no complaints at all
everything, it was perfect, very nice beach, not too crowded, very good breakfast and very helpful staff!
We liked the small size ,position and friendly staff. The beachfront and pool area was excellent. We had a great time and would stay there again.
Jeg likte utsikten fra rommet vaart. Jeg likte ikke beligghet, mat servert paa frokostbufee og som ble spist til middag. Det var veldig uhyggelig atmosfere der.
Beautiful resort - and probably the newest and most "fresh" resort in Koh Samui. But notice that construction is not ready yet - and the hotel is probably nut fully built until 2011. But after the construction is ready - there are few resorts that can match Nora Buri on the Island. We were upgraded to a pool villa - beach side, and it was stunning. The first 2 days we stayed hill-side, and the walk up to our room was tiring in the warmth. You could get the staff to drive you up - but if your room or villa is on the far end of the hill - it is actually quite a heavy walk from the pool and beach area. Try to get a room or villa on the beach side - then you are all set. The only part that was a little "downer" was the beach it self. The sand and everything was nice - but it's almost impossible to take a swim due to much sea shell, stones and other things. They should really clean up. But then again - the pool area was amazing and very clean. We stayed at the pool for 8-10 hours every day. Great service.
