It was clean, quiet and inexpensive. Perfect!
The room was clean and functional. The front staff was friendly, and there was an actual restaurant/bar on the premises. This was the only hotel in this area that my Wii connected to the hotel wifi, and I actually got a decent night's sleep because it was quiet. For once, I could not hear trucks and slamming doors all night. I also liked that the bed was softer than other hotels. The decor is extremely outdated, and this was the first property that I have stayed at in this area that did not have a flat screen television. The exterior steps and hallways are in need of a cleaning and repair. There were not enough electrical outlets in the room, or they were hidden by furniture. I wish there was a fitness center on-site. The outdated heater/air conditioning system made it smell like something was burning. The actual room was not very spacious compared to other hotels in the area.
Staff was friendly. The bathroom was very outdated as well as the tv. There is also a lack of outlets throughout the room.
The room was clean and fairly quiet. The breakfast was good and the facility was very nice. When we arrived, there was a large group of people outside of the entrance. We found out that there was a wedding reception going on which included loud music.
Check-in and check-out were smooth. Everything in the room was ok, but nothing fancy. It was your basic economy room. Room was located right next to the highway and could hear cars go by all night, so try to get a different room if that happens to you. Amenities were a little old (still had an CRT TV in the room).

Location Dirty. Not as big as was reported.

Clean Room. Close to Presque Isle entrance. Great Indoor Pool. Staff was very Nice
Beds were comfortable and the Breakfast was good for the price.
The location. I wasn't told about a $17 charge, the people next door to us were rude and kept us up until 1:30 in the morning.. and my kids (5 and 11) upset..
How close to the park, beach, etc. Our room was very clean.. when we needed more towels.. no hassle..
Good price. Great location. No.
Location close to beaches Charging per guest for breakfast
Location was very convenient. Also the pool was fine. The restaurant staff was very rude, treated my kids very bad. They should fire the staff. There was also bad smell of smoking.

Staff was very friendly. Loved the pool area. Our room had a balcony that opened directly to the pool. Pillows were very small.
The front desk had event flyers. Free breakfast. -the room smelled rank -the room felt dirty -the TV was older than me (I'm 22). -breakfast was free, but did not taste good at all. Ended up going out to eat breakfast elsewhere. -our first set of room keys didn't work the first time when given -the whole place is just outdated and falling apart -I honestly considered sleeping in my car as an alternative -We ended up buying a cheap comforter set from the local Walmart because the room and the bed sheets smelled so bad (even after leaving the windows open for hours and using a decent amount of Febreeze) -the parking garage was dirty and wet and sketchy -we were on the 6th floor and there were no screens on the Windows. Someone could easily just fall or jump out.
Nothing the air conditioner was not working in the hotel. It's was over 90 outside and 85 or so inside. The bathroom barely had any lights and the ceiling was like caving in and looked like someone tried to cover it. The pics of the hotel weren't accurate. The hotel air conditioner wasn't working. The bathroom was disgusting. The pics on the website didn't accurately reflect the actual hotel. The parking garage was horrible. We didn't even stay there and I finally got my money refunded. We left after 20 minutes. We will never stay here again.
very loud guests! No hot water and we weren't even compensated in any way. Pretty much told oh well by front desk staff.
The lobby and parking for free The room stunk like cat pee, the one chair in the room was stained and gross, the entire window sill, ceiling, wall around the window had severe water damage and you know it's full of mold ! The bathroom vanity front hadn't been wiped down for a cleaning in likely months. There was no food left when we went to get our continental breakfast well before it's scheduled ending time. We ended up going to buy sheets, pillows and a new comforter to use because we were scared to use the ones there.
parking garage below nothing really.
I picked this hotel because it was middle of the road price based on what was available in the area....and yes, it was slim pickins'. I looked at the pictures but made the mistake of not reading the reviews. Honestly, the next hotel available was $125 more a night and we would only be using the room for sleeping so it didn't seem worth it. Boy was I wrong! 1) You have to be parked in the hotel lot by 4pm or you won't get parking space other than on the main road which is just as sketchy as the hotel. 2) There was vomit outside the door across the hall both when we arrived and when we left 3) Beat...everything about the place was outdated. No wastebasket in the room, thin pillows, a thinner bedspread (it was almost a sheet) no hangers for clothes. 4) There was a party raging outside our room on the veranda of the hotel. Nothing to do about that. 5) And then there was the complimentary breakfast. Food choices were slim slim slim. There was no decaf coffee and when we asked the "attendant" she said she couldn't help us, Honestly, can you believe it? I even watched the same "attendant" be asked for assistance with getting ice for a small cooler and she replied to the guest, "Yes, 'cause I have nothing better to do." It was unbelievable if I hadn't witnessed it all myself. Kayak, all I have to say is that you are not doing travelers any service by offering this as a choice. It was simply disgusting and the service was even more disgusting. Upon checkout I thought to maybe lodge a complaint with the manager but I realized that if this was the type of place they were presenting to the public every day, management surely didn't care about my concerns.
Every thing was adequate. The room was huge and clean. The bed was super comfy. Almost an entire wall of windows gave a nice view. The staff I spoke to were all very nice and helpful. The continental breakfast was decent. It was nice to have the parking lot below the hotel, as well. The room was a bit sparse, compared to what I usually get for the same price(no microwave, or fridge, a single desk chair). The water was slow to drain from the tub and built at my feet.
First, we checked in and there was already someone checked into the room. That was weird. Second, the carpet looked as if it had been set aflame in places. Poor lighting. Tvs from 1998. Furniture from the same period. There was a party patio on the floor below us which meant screaming drunks until 2am. Parking garage was less that ideal in terms of security. All in all a poor excuse for a hotel.
Location Everything needs updated!
The lobby, restautant, etc.... We're beautifully decorated and very well kept. The rooms were newly refurnished and very clean and comfortable. Price was dirt cheap. Love the location right in the heart of downtown. Free underground parking had some wetness due to rains. Some standing water. Need better drainage. Free breakfast could have been a bit better but again for the price I felt lucky to get free breakfast at all.
Location No air conditioner . Ask the front desk twice if there was anything that can be done . They said put the thermostat between 60 and 70 it works better that way !! What it was 90 degrees in the room very uncomfortable not acceptable
Staff Very dirty and in need of updates. Lampshades had stains on them. Old tv, filthy behind furniture. Parking lot in need of security cameras.
Nice rooms, close to the airport, A/C worked great! no comment here. I have no complaints.
It was very nice quiet, clean, and it made the weekend perfect for a one night stay. Size of the bathroom, was a little noisy, and I felt they charged to much for what you got.
Not much. Right next to freeway, felt like I never got off the freeway. Does not match the photos. Noisy from freeway traffic.
It is newly renovated I stayed for 4 nights No business support (printer etc) Odd room layout (desk chair hits the bed) Room faced the interstate (100') very loud This is a hotel/motel so 1st floor rooms are outside entry Got a good rate through booking.com - RedRoof rates were $20-30 higher per night
Small, neat room, friendly staff, right off hwy, quite on other side, breakfast was voucher for McDonald's Noticed some dirt on the walls and doors but overall clean.
Room appeared at first glance to be neat and clean. Staff were cordial. My family and I arrived late at the motel after a long day and were welcomed by drunk fighting bikers in the parking lot. Left the next morning covered in bug bites. We do not recommend this place.
Clean, nice room. Good for price. No WiFi. Slow service at front desk. No roll out cots available. Loud noise due to highway.
Quiet, despite being near highway. Clean. It isn't worth $80/night unless you are desperately tired. More like a $50/night hotel.
Great staff, they were helpful with any questions I had. Nice accommodations for the price, close to the colleges. Really close to the highway, so make sure you get the backside of the motel if you do not like car noise. I couldn't hear anything on the backside compared to the front facing the highway.
The rooms were recently remodeled and it showed. Our check in was fast and easy. Our room was clean and comfortable and a good value for the money. Our cats got to stay at no extra charge, too! I should have called the front desk, but the guests across the hall were having a party and people were in and out of that room until 5am. I told the front desk agent at checkout and she's sending me a voucher for a free nights stay. I thought that was very kind of her.
The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating during my stay. They provided me with a corkscrew for my bottle of wine and silverware for my takeout. I like the large work area that is available in the Superior King room because I work when I travel. The hotel is easy access from the highway, but GPS does not recognize the location and may lead you in the wrong direction. My bathroom had an odd smell during my stay, and the shower/tub combo was not in as good condition as rooms from previous stays. The cable channels are not very good even though it is supposedly expanded. Wifi works well for laptop and small devices, but is inconsistent with my Wii, so I'm not always able to watch Netflix or Hulu. Guests are always very noisy at inappropriate hours. In the middle of the night, a woman was yelling to get into her room and she used profanity. Also, very early in the morning, someone was trying to rally people to get up. Not a good choice of restaurants to eat at because mainly fast food.
Very clean and well maintained
Beautiful place.... I will stay here again. The complimentary breakfast wasn't stocked and tables were not cleaned.
The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room had a small kitchen with a full sized refrigerator, microwave, small stove and dishwasher. We had condensation dripping from a vent on the ceiling in the bathroom, just in front of the toilet on the 1st night. The fitted sheet wouldn't stay on the mattress so we'd wake up in the middle of the night because we'd be brushing up against the bare mattress. The bed cover was weird as well. It was almost like a mattress pad and a coverlet that had a small foot wide fold over that the pad fit into. I'd never seen anything like it. The TV had a weird smear across the whole screen which was noticeable and was never cleaned during our 3 night stay. And like another guest noted, the left elevator was slow and it didn't seem like the door close button worked at all since you had to wait a very long time for the door to eventually close. We won't be choosing this hotel again on our next visit to Erie.
Was able to check-in earlier than 3pm. The room was a nice size. The hot tub was great! The complimentary hot breakfast was very good. Check-out at 12pm was very nice to have. The shutterfly free book coupon was a nice perk too. Full fridge/freezer, stove top, dishwasher & sink was great to have in the room. Room was listed as a "queen" suite, but we only had a "double/full" bed, not a queen. The pool water was too cold to be enjoyable. You had to get out right away. The left elevator was very slow. The door close button wouldn't work. It made noises when running - a little bit scary. Back sidewalk was not salted so there was a lot of ice on it. My mom is handicapped and it was very difficult for her to walk on the ice. We tried to help her, but we were afraid of falling ourselves. No ice machine available to guests.
It was a perfect setting by the lake. People were kind. They charged me for incidentals which said that it would be on my credit card the same day and did not receive it. Also, a worker was interfering with an argument my girlfriend and i were having and basically not letting me speak to her.
View was awesome Windows could of been cleaned better
The Hotel was very nice and clean ... you cam use the sky bridge to go to the convention center.. No early morning free continental breakfast...its a paid extra breakfast...and paid new parer too.....$12.00 extra for parking
I didn't not like how noisy the room was. You can hear people walking in the hallways. You can hear the people next to you, above you, and below you. Very loud for the price
My "boyfriend" and I stayed here one night just so we could get away from everyone and have some privacy after a HORRENDOUSLY stressful week including the cancellation of our planned vacation to Washington D.C. This hotel was only about 45 minutes away from us. We personally know the Erie area well, but the hotel is super easy to get to if you're from out of town. The room was clean and smelled clean as soon as we walked in. It was nicely sized if you're looking to just relax for a night or two (room 329 is where we were; PERFECT view of a marina and State Street and honestly, the sun rise was really pretty too. It woke me up but the sun beaming on me made me smile). If I were staying more than a couple nights, I'd probably want a bigger room. The bathroom, again, nicely sized but the layout itself was weird with no room between the sink and shower. But whatever, not like you're going to be dancing all around the bathroom of a hotel, right? Had plenty of room to do whatever (straighten hair etc.) I'd ask for more towels, next time. Just a thought. The bed (mattress, linens, pillows) were clean and HEAVENLY. Neither of us wanted to get out of it in the morning (which wasn't really morning because check out isn't until noon! BONUS) Seriously, SUPER comfortable bed. I'll stay again just for the bed. Not even kidding. The bar downstairs was nice and convenient. Good selection of mixed drinks, wines, and beers plus the food from the restaurant looked delicious. A pretty large, top shelf martini was $10.... and they pour them STRONG. Hotel WAS under construction while we were there but did not affect our stay at all. Heard someone walk in the hallway once but they sounded like they'd had some fun at the bar lol. Didn't hear our neighbors, don't know if we even had any. This hotel is RIGHT on the water and it was windy as heck when we stayed BUT I can only imagine that when it's warm out (and not November) that it's BEAUTIFUL. OVERALL, I will ABSOLUTELY stay here again and without question, I recommend it to anyone and the "boyfriend" agrees. There have been a few times since where one or both of us has said "We need to go back to the Sheraton." It was just a nice little escape from the world. And it felt really great to exhale.
Everything was good.
I would have liked to have more TV options. There was not a lot to watch such as movies to buy etc.
clean room with great shower facilities. pool was clean and not too much chlorine to burn eyes. hot breakfast was good with eggs, both scrambled and boiled, along with bacon and other standard continental fare. hotel was quiet as sat back off the main road in back of a strip mall area. Had no problems or complaints.
The room was clean and comfortable. We were there for the Erie Marathon and nearly every hotel was full. They opened up breakfast early for the runners and granted us a late checkout so we could shower after the race. The location is convenient to hop on the interstate and go up to Presque Isle. The location of the hotel is within a shopping center complex. It's not a major problem, but it did require quite a few stops and turns to get back to the hotel.
We loved the updated look of the kitchenette! We had to finish some of our holiday candy-making and the little kitchen fit the bill! My husband appreciated the 32" LCD TV. He rolled the filling for our buckeyes while sitting up in bed watching TV using a very lovely and useful breakfast tray that each room is provided. The closet space is very generous. I'm used to my king sized natural latex mattress; so, I wasn't thrilled with our queen sized bed with a very firm mattress. But it was a quality mattress. I still slept ok. The sheets felt a bit rough; hubby didn't notice, of course. The fact that the bathroom can also be accessed through the closet which doesn't have a lock was a bit unnerving. No issue for us, but our extended family had a two bedroom suite with one bathroom, and they were uncomfortable with this setup. Their five year old loved it! The elevators are located in inconvenient places in the hotel. The included breakfast was ok, but we did like the waffle maker!
Great location right behind the mall within minutes of great restaurants as well.
The accommodations at this hotel were fantastic....refrigerator, dishwasher , microwave, and stove-top in the room. The continental breakfast was very nice, and laundry on site. The staff was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Enjoyed our stay even though we were in town for a funeral.
Very clean, comfortable modern rooms, nice linens, though we did find the bed a little soft and squishy (my boyfriend has back issues and needs a firmer mattress). Easy, pleasant check-out. My boyfriend and I had an insanely bad experience at the front desk trying to check in. We booked on Kayak and arrived after grabbing a late dinner, after midnight. The woman at the desk informed us that our room wasn't available because it hadn't been cleaned yet, and no staff was there to clean it so "she would have to do it." We asked if there were other rooms available in the hotel and she said yes, but because we had booked with Kayak (3rd party) she couldn't change the room in her system. She argued with us about how there was nothing she could do and expected us to walk away from a booking we had already paid for and find another place to stay at 1am. Not ONCE did she say anything remotely resembling "so sorry, it looks like that room's not available, let me see what I can do." After about 40 minutes on the phone with Marriott and multiple supervisors, she gave us another, upgraded room. It was almost comical it was so bad.
The staff were very kind, and the rooms so very nice. I've never been to a hotel that smelled do pristine.
The staff were excellent rooms very clean access off the interstate was very convienent Did not get a good nights sleep due to the constant truck noise off the interstate.
A clean, well maintained hotel with spacious, comfortable rooms. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Nice indoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast should include more fresh fruit. In-room A/C unit was very loud.
Great staff Room could have been cleaner. The sheets on one bed had a hair and the shower had some mold.
Friendly staff VERY THIN WALLS !!!!
Great breakfast included.
Wonderful value. Wonder rooms and incredible breakfast buffet. ..... And my kids loved the room and pool too
Friendly staff Very comfortable bed Good breakfast Noisy guests in the room above but not while we slept.
Rooms were clean and staff was attentive. Third floor rooms VERY quiet. We had a pleasant and restful stay. Entrance of hotel was a bit tricky to navigate if you aren't familiar with the confusing intersection at I-90 E exit 27.
Nice hotel, friendly staff. Price good for comparable hotels. carpets in room were dirty. very noisy, could here children running and people walking in rooms above. room located by elevators very noisy room doors shutting loudly. not good selection for continental breakfast out of several items overheard complaints from other patrons as well, said they would be going out for breakfast if advertise for breakfast should have adequate food to cover.
Price was reasonable. Very noisy with kids and dogs.
The pool was the main reason why we picked this hotel and it was cool, cloudy, and was not circulating
We stayed here before a college visit to Edinboro University. The hotel was easy to get to and our room was ready when we arrived. The front desk was very friendly. It was very helpful that the Hampton provided breakfast - one of the reasons we choose them. The price was great and I would definitely stay here again. The hotel was close enough to the highway that you could hear trucks at night. I would recommend getting a room on opposite side of hotel from highway. In addition, our room window would not shut completely so we also had an issue with a "whistling" sound during the night. The size of the beds was listed as queen but they seemed a little smaller than that. Not sure if the bed size listed was accurate.
Clean, comfortable and convenient with friendly staff and wholesome breakfast N/A
The hotel is conveniently located close to the freeway, shops and restaurants. Staff was friendly and quite helpful. The rooms are a little dated and room very noisy due to doors slamming and other guests talking on the hallway.
We really enjoyed the friendly staff and the bed was comfortable. It was central so there was so much to do outside the hotel. The overall hotel room needed updated. There was paper pealing off corners and the overall look wasn't great. The spa tub shouldn't be considered two people and there was only two jets and many rules and instructions with the tub. There was a huge spider in the shower and the mini fridge wasn't very efficient. The pool was open until midnight but there were so many children there that it wasn't relaxing. If you are looking for a romantic weekend, this might not be the place. there was a water bottle sitting there that was $3.25 and if we drank it we would be charged. After all the money that was spent, you'd think they would give you a complimentary bottle of water. We simply went across the street to Walmart and bought a gallon of water for less. It wasn't anything special. Just a basic hotel. We won't be staying again for that price. We could have stayed somewhere much better for less money. Other than the friendly staff and how central it was, it wasn't worth it. It was a big disappointment.
Location - close to main road and shopping Staff weren't overly friendly, only one out of many we ran into greeted us. Room was musty, water was like warm for shower. No breakfast included and paid $189 cad. Just overall we could have went to a budget motel for same experience. The Baymont down the road was incredible all around for a wonderful experience. Will try to go back there instead.
I liked that the room was clean and comfy. The breakfast was very good. I was with my daughter, infant and my daughter's good friend. We had a relaxed time while staying at the Comfort Inn. We look forward to another visit soon. N/A
A housekeeper arrived on the second floor in the elevator, looked confused, looked at me and closed the door. I took the stairs down and there she was, getting off the elevator. I think she should have asked me what floor I needed and let me on.
The staffs are really nice, especially the one I met, Todde.
I had reservations for a room with 2 queen beds, but they gave me a room with 1 king bed. I asked to change to the correct room, but they still only put me in a room with 2 full size beds. They claimed they were queen beds, but they were not. Also, the refrigerator in the room did not work and I left a iPhone charger in the room and called a couple of hours after checkout, but they claimed not to find it. The room was definitely overpriced and the staff was not very helpful.
My husband and I both liked on and off exit very easy.
Staff was very friendly & accommodating. Hotel was very busy with other families as it is adjacent to a water park. Rooms were nice & clean, recently updated. Hallways appeared to need the same updating, and the lobby/breakfast area could stand to be updated too. There's no elevator, so make sure to ask for a first floor room if necessary. The breakfast area was very crowded and there weren't enough tables for all of the families that were trying to get ready to go to the water park.
The staff was very friendly, the pool and gym area was nice, and there was a nice variety in the breakfast area. My room was right next to the pool. The smell of Chlorine was very loud, gave me a small headache.
Rooms where clean and neat, parking was good. Hotel was fairly quiet, was a very nice place to stay would stay here again for our next trip to Erie. Was close to the lake about a 10-15 minute drive. Bed was a little lumpy but not bad
The beds were nice. Nothing else is updated. Walls are patched with paint in odd spots. The furniture and chairs are all worn out. We needed a crib and they said someone must have walked off with it! Um, what? They didn't even offer to borrow one from one of the 10 neighboring hotels.
Location, price Breakfast
-great location. Right by a gas station -easy to find -pet friendly. Pet rates are affordable -hot breakfast was filling. They has eggs, sausage and waffles -friendly staff -non smoking hallway reeked of cigarettes -Tiny rooms. Hard to move around when you have a baby with you -rooms were musty -AC was blasting. If you turned it up to make the room warner then it got too hot -slow elevators. It's easier and quicker to take the stairs
Clean. Friendly staff.
Great location, Quiet room, friendly staff. ugly view of dumpster and a stack of old mattresses
The room was decently clean 1. I'm pretty sure the woman working at the front desk was on some type of methamphetamine. I'm not joking. 2. I could barely open the door to my room. I had to throw a hard shoulder into it to get it to pop open. 3. The door that adjoined my room with the room next to mine would not lock properly, nor did the secondary chain lock seem sturdy or effective. 4. The bathroom window didn't have a curtain, meaning anyone willing to climb a tree could have a great view of my showering habits. 5. The other guests staying at the lodge seemed excited to stare me down whilst shirtless and enjoying adult beverages. They sure did make me feel comfortable.
Proximity to highway Soap from a previous guess was left in the shower, found upon my arrival. Lighting in rear parking lot was dark during night hours. Hallways smelled like airplane glue throughout the building, though it did not permeate into room it was still annoying. Breakfast consisted of an egg creation that has left me imagining what it was supposed to have been. Even Cracker Barrel food is better and that is not saying much. Room was situated next to an AC unit at ground level which kicked on and off throughout the night interrupting sleep. Building was older and price was too high given all the newer hotels in this area. I would not stay again.
very nice pool indoor and the water park was attached to the building and it was very close to everything when we checked in they asked for a card and before i handed it to him i asked if anything was going to be charged to it due to the fact it had our vacation money on it he told me no so i gave it to him, the next day our card was charged $350 dollars needless to say i was pissed i went down to ask about it and the lady told me it was normal and it was a incidental fee that they hold till we checked out which was fine but i was mad because the other guy had told me that it wouldn't be charged she told me tough luck and that there was nothing they could do, needless to say it will be the last time i ever stay in any Marriott hotels. also the queen size bed (even tho we ordered a king size) felt like i was laying on a floor not in a bed i ended up sleeping on the sofa bed because it was more comfortable
This is the third time we've stayed in the Residence Inn in order to go to Splash Lagoon. The rooms are very suitable for our family with a one bedroom arrangement. Our room had a fireplace, whirlpool, kitchen area, and two tvs. Our Splash Lagoon passes were ready when we arrived at 12:00 and the room was ready by 4:00. It is very conveniently attached to Splash Lagoon, so you do not have to walk outside to get there. You can wear your swimsuits and flip-flops, even in the dead of winter. If you get a locker near the tree-tops area, you can easily use the back hallway to return to the hotel. We really like having suites that are this close to the water park, so we'll definitely stay here again when we return. None of these things are deal-breakers, but are good to know for future travelers: The breakfast area is a bit crowded during busy times. If you were a business traveler, I would probably try to avoid the hotel when schools are on winter break as it is packed with families. Late checkout was available, but it was $59 to check out at 4 PM instead of 11 AM. That was too pricey for us. The single elevator is really slow, even though there are only three floors. The side door (under the bridge) did not unlock with my room key, so I had to walk around through the cold rain to the front door. Also, the two front doors were not automatic, making it hard to bring a luggage cart inside. Oh, and one of the luggage carts had a bum wheel making it really hard to push. Apparently, the are waiting on parts to fix it.
Quietness. Friendly staff. Nothing in particular.
Very helpful Staff. We wanted adjoining rooms and they changed room assignments very quickly. The room had a refrigerator and microwave The price was very reasonable. The hotel is very close to many different restaurants. The breakfast could have more of a selections.

the pool the breakfast and service not very good lots of food not refilled
The hotel was clean, staff was very friendly and accommodating. I checked in late and they held my room anyway. No noise to keep you awake. The air/heat worked well. Parking lot well lit. Ample parking. Breakfast buffet was awesome! No.

Inexpensive and pet friendly.
It was close to many places. Very clean nice the room was beautiful. Staff was great staying there for my next trip.
This was an excellent hotel for the price. Conveniently located.
proximity to venue. Great lean room with microwave ad refrigerator. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise and a great one at that before we got on the road home.

pool some staff were unpleasent
