Great location, short walking distance from San Marco and nice shops and restaurants. Very close to the waterbus. Very elegant, clean and breakfast was excellent. I will come back. Everything was great

Starhotels Splendid Venice har en perfekt beliggenhet i Venezia, nydelige rom inspirert av Venezia's kultur og historie. Hotellet har en meget konfortabel og gjestfri salong.

This hotel was really very great, exactly as you see in the photos and can boast about it's location and all of its qualities. Overall i could only find very minimal points to be picky about which are: 1. the hotel is quite tricky to find (as with a lot of places in Venice), you would think directions would therefore be highlighted/mentioned on their website or when you are sent your booking details. 2. Half of the the breakfast staff were useless and not concerned with helping at all (the other half were completely the opposite and couldn't do enough to help and make it as peasant as possible). 3. The hotel decor and furnishings were probably very finely done at one stage, but things are starting tyo tire and wall trimmings etc starting to peel away, scratches and bumps in too many places.
The location was excellent and staff was very helpful and supportive. The hotel is well maintained and charming. The room was well serviced. The hotel met all our expectations--beautiful premises in a charming part of Venice, well connected to visit near and somewhat distant sites of interest to tourists. Yes, the wall was water stained. I informed the manager by a note and received no confirmation or follow up.
The dependent at the lobby was rude. The room they gave was not ready, there was an empty champaigne bottle with the corresponding dirty glasses. To make matters worse, it was time consuming to resolve. The room we ended up with had two full size beds together, with separate linen for each, instead of a king/queen size bed. The waiters at the bar and common areas were rude. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. In 30 years this is the most we ever paid for accommodations AND the worst service we've received.
Very luxurious. Staff wonderful. Central Location on the canal with superb views and private water taxi station right in front. Room service excellent! The Westin sets the bar very high! TV channel selection poor.
the whole experience,the terrace off our room was perfect the cost of the cheese and ham toasties at 4:00 am !!
The location was wonderful! The attitude of some of the staff was snooty and the check in and check out process took forever. We were getting off a cruise coming in and there were many people arriving at the the same time but leaving I was left standing for 10 minutes while the clerk fiddled on her computer and noone else was around. To be fair it was the same woman. The conciere also had staff that was either extremely helpful or curt and unresponsive to inquires. The staff was either very pleasant or very disdainful.

Spacious Room, Ease of access to St Marco Square and bottle of champagne was given for our special stay. Booked a deluxe double room but was given a room on first floor facing another building which is under total renovation, noise starts from 8:00AM, can't sleep well and there is no view from this room, not even city view. Ask for ice buckets at 11:30PM, No one picks the call in Service Express.
The hotel is beautiful like a palace. Location is excellent. They give you the feeling that your money is the most important thing for them. The ask you to sign several forms, preauthorize you credit card, and, it's a shame, lock your minibar during the last night of your stay!
The best hotel in Athens. We ended up eating both at the roof top Restaurant and Main follow breakfast room and had excellent food, service and views. Highly recommend! Surrounding neighborhood wasn't very upscale

I thought the hotel staff was extremely pleasant and accomodating. Everything was terrific, however, there was one item to note. One evening while sitting in the bar lounge we ordered an appetizer. For 30 Euro's we got what one could only describe as a match-stick sized spring roll. I thought the portion and price were not consistent. However, the breakfast bar was fantastic.

Very central location to all that Venice offers and yet the right side of the Grande Canal to get away from all of it and unwind. Right next to Salute water taxi stop. Room was fabulous and staff were very attentive

the place is not five stars it s three stars. The terrace is not covered so the birds take all your food, the bathrooms are tiny and the water spills all over, the internet slow.

Sentral beliggenhet, flott rom. Grei frokost. Veldig bra med Aircondition på rommet. Gode senger. Bedre frokost med grove brødsorter. Bedre juice system (lite hygienisk med mugger).
Meget hyggelig personale som bidro til å gjøre oppholdet lykket, flott rom av god standard og fleksibilitet i forhold til barn. Bra beliggenhet i en flott og sentral del av Venezia.
Ypperlig beliggenhet. Utrolig bra service, visste tydeligvis hva de drev med. Rommet var fint med alt du kunne ønske, pluss at det var kjempestort. Dyrt var det hellre ikke. Anbefales!
Sentral beliggenhet. Kort vei til Marcusplassen. Det ligger en hyggelig resturant like ved hotellet. Frokosten er ikke den beste. Vanlig kaffe er ille. De serverer trakte kaffe som smaker ille.

With the fear of Bed bugs these days, I was very concerned, before arriving, but once we arrived and went to our room my concerns were totally diminished. The room was immaculate. no there wasn't anything I didnt like.

The facility was fabulous from the roof top dinning to the room itself. The staff was very helpful and polite at all times. The check in staff which seem to be managers is shared with the main hotel and this led to an extended check wait. This comment should not deter anyone from staying here is an outstanding hotel
We were supposed to be in the Palazzo bauer 2 but instead we were in the Bauer in a very old and sad room!!! Really desappointed
The beautiful restaurant by the canal and especially our lovely balcony overlooking Venice There was no wine in our mini bar and we always like to have a glass of wine in the evening when changing to go out.

The position of the hotel is right in the centre and it takes nearly 3 minutes to st.Marks sqr. And also the private transfer from the airport was so comfortable.

Wonderful settings, excellent location, a beautiful building. Enjoyed the delicious "Corto Maltese" cocktail at the fabulous bar. The cost of the breakfast buffet at 110 euro per person a bit high to digest !
Great location, attentive staff and service was great. The bar menu on the terrace could have offered some more choice and was a little expensive but the views were amazing. Would have been nice to have some wine in the mini bar and maybe some spirits available.
The rooms were just like Venice itself - fairytale like. Our daughter aged 8 felt like a princess. Our room overlooked a rather ugly covered inner courtyard.
Hotellet lå fint til med kort avstand til de ulike severdighetene. Det var rent og personalet var serviceinnstilt. Hotellet og hotellets restaurant lå ved kanalen der Gondolene stadig gled stille forbi. Her var det mulighet både for opplevelser og avslapping/rekreasjon. Nei, her var det ingenting å klage over.
Bra frokostservering, sentral plassering, grei service Litt vanskelig å finne frem, må ha en enklere forklaring på hvor hotellet ligger i forhold til enkleste ankomstvei. Ble plassert i et anneks, uforbredt på dette, gi info om dette på nettet. Sjekk at lyspærer er i orden!

Hotellet ligger like ved Marcus plassen og litt tilbaketrukket, så det var stille og rolig. Sengene var utrolig gode. Spisesalen ligger helt nede ved kanalen med utsikt til gondoler som dupper i vannet. Hotellet er vanskelig tilgjengelig for handikappede. Flere av rommene er absolutt ikke tilgjengelig for rullestol brukere.
Meget sentralt i Venezia. 1 minutt til Markusplassen. Meget god og hyggelig service. Nei
Veldig sentralt og koselig utsikt til gondolparkering med av/på-stigning. Det var veldig lytt til naborommet (hadde dør imellom, som kunne åpnes til dobbeltrom) var så lytt at man kunne høre lyder fra toalett, hørte når man snudde seg i sengen osv.

Nær flyplass med god standard......... Transport flyplass dårlig organisert.............
Lå sentralt v fergene 20 meter fra S Angelo, NB! dette er viktig når du skal ta ferge dit, ikke kjør til S Marco som alle sier når de ser adressen, kjør til S Angelo. Mye bråk fra air-condition og plagsomme duer og spurver ved frokosten ute i hagen.
Beliggenheten og det sjarmerande typiske Italienske fra gamle dager. I det stora hele var det bra service og mat. Konsekvens på vasking og ferdigstillende av rom for kvelden kan bli bedre. Personalet kan også være litt mer positive og se kunden i sentrum.
