Litt trange rom
Hotel Continental must be the best choise in Venice. Our triple room on third flor was brilliant. The location was excellent, only a few minutes from bus and train station.Breakfast was very good.Antonio in the restaurant served us the best meal we had in Venice.Nice staff in the restaurant. We loved evrything about this hotel. The beds need to be change, hard and uncomfortabel. We should like to have more smile and a little bit more interest in the guests from the front staff.
Fin beliggenhet. Hyggelig terrasse mot kanalen. God frokost. Store trippelrom. Utsikt mot kanalen. Harde slitte madraser.
Bra frukost.
Beliggenhet - rolige omgivelser. Nydelig hage
Hyggelig personalet. Utmerket plassering i hyggelig og rolig området i Venezia, men likevel sentralt. Frokost var veldig bra etter italiensk standard. Veldig rent. Romslig moderne bad.
Fint rom og god beliggenhet.Rolig strøk
Easy to find and the location was superb
The location could not have been better and easy to find.
We could find the hotel's sign after across the bridge. The reception open 24hours and takes 10 mins walk to the main station, so we could get the train even early morning. There were a lot of shops and restaurants near the hotel. There were not the room on the ground floor and no elevator so we had to go up stairs with heavy luggages. The interior was very nice but the room and bathroom was small.
Proximity to the train station was great Top floor - no lift, rooms and bathroom very small
near the station. room was small. shower room was small, too. but tidy and neat. a bit over price i think. maybe in venice island that is why.
Proximity to all areas
The staff is very helpful and polite and always very friendly with their guests..The hotel is also situated in a very good area just 10 minutes walk from the Piazalle Roma bus terminus and about 20 minutes walk from Piazza San Marco their is also the Fruit Market in front of the hotel with some very good fresh fruit especially the Passion fruit which is really a sweet treat.Apart from that their are a couple of good restaurants just across the road where you can have a Tourist menu for just €11 and the usual pizza corner shops which sell the best pizza i ever had. I will definetily use this hotel again if i will be visiting Venice again... The Toaster in the breakfast room is the only thing that annoyed me because it does not work properly it takes about 15 minutes to do a couple of toast apart from that everything was just fine.
The staff were very helpful and friendly Not having a lift was a bit annoying, especially with bags, but we knew this before we booked - we were up endless flights! Good excercise though!!!!
It's location was Convenient for easy Access to shops, tourist sites and traansport links. The Hotel staff all spoke English and were veryhelpful and friendly The bathroom/toilet area was very cramped - very small- large people would have difficulty using the shower
good experience, at the heart of the city breakfast good especially croissant
The hotel staff was very nice and helpful, the hotel itself is a beautyful venetian palazzo and the rooms were absolutely clean.
Location is easy to find, not far from railway station. You can leave baggage at the hotel before catching night train. The heater didn't work well. The fruit and vegetable shop is just front of the hotel, so they make noisy in very early morning.
Fullfilled our familys needs pretty well, good location, room for 4, fair pricing. Noisy street in front of the room, but the discomport of some noise was well balanced with the deeep sleep caused by good busy program of the stay in Venice.
Good location fom station, staffs were very kind. Breakfast was fairly good. Satisfactory considering most of the buildings are very old in Venezia. No free WiFi in the room
Lovely staff, beautiful rooms, great A/C
Location Lack of maintenance of rooms
The location. Breakfast. No aircondition. It was no possible to sleep at night or just being in the room. Do not recommend at summer!!!!!
Hotel Arcadia is located about five minutes from the St. Lucia train stop on Venice, and it was great not to have to haul our backpacks across the island. There were plenty of people walking heavy luggage all over the place, and we were glad not to be those people. The hotel gives you a card and a key. The key is for your room and the card allows you to get into the facility 24/7 which is nice if you want to take a late stroll around Venice. The room amenities were minimal, but provided us with everything we needed. The shower was hot, the room was very clean and the staff was polite, helpful and spoke great English. The breakfast room is beautiful and the breakfast was delightful with crossaints and coffee. It was neat to have a room that overlooked the main street so we could watch the vendors and people. The negative to that was that we could hear the vendors setting up their fruit stands at about 7am every morning. And while the location is nice to get to the train station, it can be a far walk to many of the main attractions, such as St. Mark's square. However, I would still argue that this was a great value.
Location and easy access from rail station. Great cappuccino for breakfast. The breakfast lady a real gem.
location, location, location no WIFI, that would have made it better, so we can look up things to do etc. Damn we are so spoiled by always having internet acces
The staff and the location.. really close to the train station and 20 minutes walking from Piazza San Marco. There is no refrigerator in the room.
the location and the service no
Very clean and conveniently located. Pleasant staff. Poor tap water pressure. Very small rooms and breakfast room could hardly cope with amount of guests.
The location is great. Not the nearest to the roma plazza and the train station, but close enough to walk in 5 mins. The staff is responsible. They transfer an important message to me when we came back to the hotel from a walk. The room is too small. Old. no elevator. no wireless. value/money is low. but seems all hotel in Venice has similar problems... Still good for short term stay.
The hotel was overpriced and breakfast was an extra 10 euros and was certainly not worth it. The twin room was so small it was like a student hostel. We had to put one of our bags on the dressing table or we couldn't walk in the room. No bathroom amenities except a sachet of shampoo. No fridge in the room, no tea or coffee making facilities, no internet connection and no credit cards accepted. Overall, very bad value for what we had to pay.
close to the grand canal, the railway station to pay more attention to cleanliness
Very good location, friendly staff, close to all transport points i.e. railway station, bus station and Grand Canal water bus rooms were very small but clean, breakfast was a bit basic and the dining room was very cramped
Sparkling clean washroom and the hotel is very close to the central station. Very dim room light, insufficient for any kind of reading.
The Hotel Zecchini was a short walk from the train station.
The location was excellent for early A.M. 5:00 departure to airport. Verry cramped but worst of all..... The power kept going off repeatedly all night long. Each time we had to walk from the 4th floor to the desk in lobby to tell them power was off. They told us to "just call the desk each time and they would take care of it" One small problem...you can't see the numbers on the phone when you are in total darkness to try and call the desk. Needless to say we had "0" no sleep during the nite before our departure the next A.M. Fortunately this was day 15 of 15 days in Italy. At least it wasns't our first day.
Hotel employe were extremely helpful. Breakfast was delivered to our room. The coffee was great, served with warmed milk. One night we wanted pizza in our room. When we asked hotel employee where to get one, ordered it for us and brought it
The location was as reported, so convenient to the train station. Truly a 5-8 minute walk. We dealt with Marie Aurora during our visit and she couldn't have been more welcoming or gracious. She treated us like we were family. The room was lovely. European pillows are a little thin for us. Wish that we could have had one more pillow in the room.
very nice place very quiet I staied 2 days. They didn´t change the sheet, only reset it.
Great location, very quiet
The flat was large and spacious, and the heating was more than capable of keeping out the Venetian cold. All the staff spoke English. There was no wifi available in the flat; this is apparently only available in the hotel rooms.
1.Breakfast in room 2.Location 3.Reasonable rate Although they provided breakfast in the room, the quantity was limited. When we asked for some more bread,we were denied the same. Also it was fairly cold, the heaters were not working. When enquired, they mentioned that as per rule, heaters cannot be activated unless its winters and surprisingly heaters were on full blast at the reception area.So we spent cold and restless nights. The toilet was not cleaned.Massimo seemed okay but the female at the reception was rude.
This hotel was in a quiet area but very near to a vaporetto stop. Marko the hotel manager was excellent and was able to recommend local restaurants and interesting things to see. The rooms were very comfortable and it was lovely having our breakfast in the garden.
Meget bra service. Resepsjonen hjalp oss med alle våre ønsker, og anbefalte gode spisesteder under vårt opphold. Snakket bra engelsk.Meget god rengjøring av rommene. Stille og rolig strøk.Bra frokost.
