The clean place and very good view ! No microwave . And I can not get warm water when I get tummy ache .And we hope next time we can see it there:) and no free wifi. The lobby wifi is good but upstairs have no wifi connection . .........do we really need to write that much and hope right now the word number is good enough to send
how helpful the women at the desk who were juggling multiple task and were able to find us a car in the 9th hour.
Location was vary convenient, great view from room , clean Long line at check-in Kids screaming and yelling in the hallways Thin walls and heard people next door Had multiple parties going on at once and the lobby was very congested Rooms were comfy but dated
The bed/bedding was amazing Having to pay for room internet
Cleanliness, great linens and mattresses, accommodating staff All good Was under the impression I could self-park my car.... Had to pay the exhorbitantly priced valet parking for my stay. $43.00 a day. Really?!
reservation process easy and hotel wonderful.
Everything was very clean and comfortable The staff did not give us any information about what the hotel provided (like breakfast or where to find anything). They also did not explain how the elevators worked....we ran into multiple people who were confused as to how they worked. We stayed in the deluxe king corner room and it really wasn't anything special, no soaking tub or really anything extra...just a few extra windows.
Nice, well-kept up. Good location.
Downtown location, corner Windows were wonderful with a view of the city. Gingerbread display was not as Christmas as prior events have been but focus on Star Wars was pulling in the people and great fund raiser for JDRF one of our most important and favorites Having to leave it was a great stay and break from the daily rush
The location was perfectly located to walk to the Seattle Aquarium and the other downtown shopping, food, and tourist attractions. The staff was fantastic as well! Our hotel room didn't have a great view and the beds were not the most comfortable. The guide on the tv didn't work so we struggled to find child appropriate programs while we were in the room.
Would've appreciated prior information on airport shuttle, but got nothing. Concierge Couldn't locate my reservation. Got a handicap room, okay, but right next to the elevator, so very noisy. Paper thin walls, could hear the people in the next room talking as if they were in my room. At least put insulation into the shared door! Hair in the shower when we arrived. Toilet was running non-stop. Maintenance man came to fix it twice, both times came unannounced. Closet sucked, hangers weren't even high enough to hang a dress shirt without hitting the floor.
The Fairmont was the perfect romantic weekend getaway. Walkable to coffee, wine bar, excellent resturants, several theaters and Pike Place for breakfast at Lowell's. Service was top-notch. Staff was personable and attentive. I didn't like having to leave.
Great location, short walk to Pike Place Market. Wifi is not included in the room price.
The old world flavor and charm of a luxury hotel that has been updated without losing its taste. Nothing.
beautiful indoor lap pool encouraged exercising; large comfortable rooms with excellent mini-bar and tea pot (so often just a coffee maker and I drink tea); great location - easy walk to tourist sites and waterfront
Great staff. Great location. what could be better? It's the best
Location and staff The room didn't cater for children (i.e. we booked a suite and needed a fold up bed)...
A little outdated
The pool and hot tub and work out room - wonderful concierge
The indoor pool and hot tub the high thread count of your sheets Coffee should have been provided in your room.....bothersome to have to go to the gym every morning!!
I am a member of the presidents club and the morning of received an email to allow me to check-in prior to leaving my home town. I clicked the link, put an arrival time and how is was arriving etc.. a few hours before my expected arrival I received an email informing me that my room was ready and to pick up my key from the doorman. Also in the email were driving directions from my location. I arrived doorman had my welcome packet and I went right to my room.........slick! cant think of a thing that I didnt like
Close to business district, restaurants, and entertainment... Given the room rate, free bottled water should be supplied...not $8 per bottle.
I loved the comfort of the bed and the decor was fabulous. Not the standard hotel look. The room smelled of curry. I just figured it was from the previous occupants. 😔
Staff very friendly. Restaurant food excellent.
The bed was very nice. The location was great. The young lady working the front desk was very rude. The closet used for hanging clothes and in which the robes were kept was locked and I couldn't open it. The halogen bulbs used in the lamps are awful. Also, there was a fish in a small bowl in the room.
location, room size
Efficient checkin and checkout. Clean rooms. Helpful staff. Did not like the aesthetic of the hotel. It had an 'Italian mobster' vibe to it and I felt uncomfortable at times, like I was going to get murdered. The female indie vocal artist made wine hour depressing. The bathroom was too basic for 4-star quality.
Great location, modern, comfortable room, and very friendly, attentive service from hotel staff. Room was a bit small (but just fine for one person), and bathroom linens could use an upgrade. Hotel restaurant wasn't great.
The location of the hotel was great. Centrally located and easy to get to/from all areas of the city. The hotel room was very dark.
The location of the hotel is very good, close to pike public market and central shopping area, only take 10mins to walk to either place. The staff in the hotel are very nice and helpful. The restaurant in the hotel offers very good breakfast.
Its claimed 4 1/2 stars is actually accurate based on my experience. none
The staff was kind and courteous! We received little discounts here and there which is always appreciated considering the exchange rate right now. The location was very convenient! Free use of yoga mat in room was awesome for stretching after being out. The room was much smaller than expected, even though they surprised us with a king bed upgrade. Though the decor was cute, you could tell the room had seen better days and thus appeared a bit dirty.Doesn't have all amenities other 4.5(4star ongoogle)have
Overwhelmingly rude, arrogant unfriendly staff Additionally they were not familiar with the surrounding area - restaurant's I have never had a poorer experience anywhere Rude staff Arrogant - why are they in hospitality?
The location was excellent in the center of everything. Two blocks to convention center. Five to Pike's Place Market. Close to numerous excellent restaurants. Walking distance to Space Needle and Frontier Square. Rooms a little tight for more than a couple nights.
Great hotel - reasonable for downtown hotel Everything was great
Complimentary wine ; bed comfortable; quick check in: room was nice; location; Temperature in the fitness was far too warm: could not adjust. Called staff but no response
Very nice room when we finally got what we requested. Really helpful staff. Loved the daily wine tasting. On site parking was awesome. Perfect location. Didn't have the bay view room we requested (overbooked-not ok) so we were stuck on a lower floor the first night which was incredibly noisy. Also it was Gay Pride weekend so it was crazy there. The next two nights we had a top floor bay view room which was awesome except there was this random really loud noise (elevator grinding or something ) that woke us up several times each night.
Great hotel overall. There is a bar area on the terrace thats a great place to hangout and have a few drinks. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, even helped me out with my toothpaste i forgot at home. Close to pikes market and everything down town. Nothing, it was a great experiece.
The motif is a great place to stay. I went to Seattle with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. It was the perfect location as it is in the middle of downtown Seattle. We didn't have to go far to get a bite to eat or to have a few drinks. It's a nice hotel, the rooms were clean and it was very spacious. Coffee and water in room. They upgraded our room since it was a special occasion. Overall I had a great time and I will stay there again when I go back to Seattle.
Location is great....rooms are small but comfortable. Bathrooms are extra small. Staff is friendly and amenities are nice Amazing to find free wifi at a hotel these days
-location -black hair in the sink -red hair in the folded towels -mold on the ceiling -lack of communication about when our room was ready
Employees are great and helpful! Great location. More of a business hotel. I booked a partial view of the bay room and it was just that. Expected a bit more than what I was hoping for and was let down. Unexpected charges.
Great location, friendly, helpful staff. Only stayed one night so we didn't get to sample all the amenities. Bed wasn't as comfortable as we are used to.
This hotel deserves a high rating! the location is great so close to everything, approximately a 8 minute walk from several places. If you are taking Uber there is an easy drop off/ pick up location right in front of the hotel. Very Modern and a great view! Staff was so sweet and they all wanted us to get the most out of Seattle. The staff will change your towels only if you make it obvious, they will restock and clean but towels were the only problem. Also the bathroom was nice but a bit small.
Great location, nice modern design inside, reasonably comfy beds. We arrived around midnight and needed another set of towels so we could all shower. They said sure, they'd send them up. An hour later, no towels. Called down, asked them to leave them in the hall so we'd at least have enough towels in the morning. They said sure, we'll do that, sorry for the delay. Morning comes - no towels.
The location wasn't bad. It had long hairs on the bathroom walls. There was a long piece of scotch tape on the walls. I found out the next morning when I'd gotten up to go to my meeting the clock in the room was 1 1/2 hours off the time. I set the alarm for 6am and got up, unknowingly at 4:30 in the morning because the clock was wrong.
I did not like how small the rooms were. The linen had stains on them. The shower was dirty upon arrival. Housekeeping took a really long time to even arrive to clean the room, we called the front desk for clean towels instead. The night before coming back home I realized that housekeeping had either taken or thrown away my bag full of souvenirs. That was the cherry on top of my disappointment about this hotel. I would not recommend it to my friends or family. The lady at the front desk, Consuela, told me I would receive a call from the Manager the next day regarding my souvenirs. Its been more than a week since I've been back home and still have not received a call.
Location is great and the price is good. The rooms were tiny and pretty well worn.
The staff was friendly and courteous at all times. We arrived a bit early and our original room wasn't ready so we went to the Woodland Park Zoo for a couple hours. Upon returning downtown, our original room still wasn't ready but Jennifer upgraded us to the Presidential King suite and it made our weekend romantic and unbelievably fantastic. I can't say enough about our experience. The room was huge, clean, comfortable, and quite enjoyable. The two full bathrooms allowed us to get ready in a very short amount of time. We didn't use the living room all that much but it was laid out in such a way that it could be comfortable for business or leisure. While we were mainly running around Seattle enjoying the rainy weather and beautiful city, we were extremely comfortable in our huge suite when we returned "home." Once again, the staff was absolutely perfect. We were treated wonderfully and there is no doubt that we will be back.
The staff was very helpful and kind, but the rooms were very small, and had minimal amenities. The wine hour was nice, the location was great for walking to Pike's Place, and Space Needle area is a seven minute drive. Overnight parking anywhere nearby is 30-$40 a night, so factor that into your costs. Small rooms, expensive parking, thin walls, small tv
The staff was AMAZING!!! Great location as well!!! Hotel was clean and tidy. Would have liked to know about valet parking before randomly trying to find a spot since parking is a lot of money everywhere you go.
Great location with in walking distance of Pike Place Market and restaurants. Small bathroom. Room looks tired.
Bed was super comfortable, nice view, great coffee, staff and location good. The shower was nice too. The room design is horrible. I couldn't sit all the way on the toilet it was so poorly located, and I'm a small girl. It's under a shelf and about 4 inches from the wall on all sides. The room lid sagged with water damage. Just felt like they were way more concerned with getting as many rooms in the building as they could, than comfort. Especially for the price I payed. I'm gonna probably stay else where next time.
Very clean and nice, I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a room in down town.
Close to attractions and public transportation to airport, nice neighborhood, coffee house downstairs has friendly and helpful staff. Hotel staff was nice too, and provided maps and directions and suggestions for places to eat close by. Room is quaint, quiet but maybe because I had no neighbors - can hear people talking outside the room and in adjacent rooms. All in all more than adequate. Not a problem as long as you aren't big and tall - toilet is awkwardly situated in the room I was in, and the bathroom design was not thoughtfully done I think. Just a little quirky.
Fine bed. European style room size and age. great staff. Very convenient walk to Pike market, town and public transport.
There was a huge noisy party is several rooms on our floor which started at 2;30am until 3:30am. Unfortunately the staff were unable to get it under control.
Great location, comfortable bed and nice tv. No gym
Very central location. Easy to get to, easy to get out of. Great bed and bath. The Internet was slow.
Staff was very attentive and helpful. I was able to check out and store baggage until later in the day when I got my vehicle out of valet parking. This allowed me to attend a meeting without concern for moving my car. Saturday night was a little noisy on my floor. Too much St Paddy's Day celebration I suppose.
Location is central. Walking distance to everything. Room was spacious and my bed was big and comfortable. Front desk staff was helpful and very accomodating. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and would love to stay in Paramount hotel again the next time I visit Seattle. None
We like that it's so close to the theatre The wet towel in the tub
Great location. Comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful staff
Very pleasant and friendly. Great location! Extremely clean. Perfect for our trip!
The room actually exceeded my expectations, based upon price and photos. The bed was comfortable, the room was just the right temperature, and LOVED that the shower stall was bathtub sized without a bathtub. The toiletries provided were top quality, as well. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and had me checked in and out with light speed. Definitely will come back and am already recommending the Paramount to my coworkers who travel in and out of town. A stocked refrigerator would have been nice, but all I really missed was cold water to drink.
Quality and comfort of room. Very upscale ambiance. No fans in the bathroom. Can easily hear voices/noises from other rooms through vent system.
It was near where I wanted to be. The valet misplaced the keys to my rental car for about 45 minutes in the evening. I needed to pack some things in my car and get some sleep before an important work thing early the next morning. It was very stressful.
It was everything you would expect from a boutique hotel like Kimpton. They offered wine in the lobby in the evenings as well as the regular amenities. I enjoyed the rooms being named after different wineries and the wine-inspired art was unexpected. I do not at all think it is good practice for hotels to charge such a huge amount for wifi. Terrible practice.
Gorgeous art and boutique feel! Clean and we'll managed!
the front desk did an amazing job in receiving us! We were there for one night in a mini-moon and enjoyed the complementary wine hour they hosted that evening, not sure if it was coincidence but it a neat surprise!
The hotel has large rooms and a huge comfortable bed. Someone has taken the time to add a level of chic design that makes the room special. Staff were fabulous. Parking is costly, like most in downtown Seattle. The parking lot is connected w/valet service
This hotel has a great location right off 5th ave, it's been renovated to I loved all the decorations and quaint feel. This hotel is VERY small. The rooms are small the lobby is small hella even the lobby restrooms were tiny. Since this is an older building that has been renovated. The staff weren't very helpful or polite they were actually very short with me.
It seemed clean. The room was TINY. The furniture was over sized and the lamp on the bedside table was so large that I couldn't fit my CPAP machine (4' x 8') on the table. The had zip tied the lamp plug in so I was unable to remove that. The front desk was RUDE!

Loved the animal print robes! Historic building, great location.

We paid for a room for 2 adults and what we got was an extremely cramped room with a queen sized bed.
Everything. Food was great. Staff was very helpful None
I enjoyed the room! The resterant was splended aswell. The bathroom was amazing! I never take bath, but I jus had to at hotel 1000, the tub was huge! I would totally stay again The only thing I did not like about the hotel was how confusing the payment was... but everything else was perfect!
Helpful friendly staff, stylish modern furnishing and lighting in room, safety deposit box in room, good size tv (with CNN), good bed, good food in restaurant. nothing
Well located downtown. Well designed. Great staff and good coffee and champagne in the lobby. Lovely rooms. Tubs fill from ceiling which is a little silly and splashes on the floor. Minor complaint for a lovely hotel,
view of Elliott Bay Room too small; bathtub too small for two people.
Great staff and great amenities, but the service stands out above all else. Hotel restaurant menu was a bit thin and hotel overall was pricey.
The location was great, in the heart of downtown. The room was absolutely amazing, with plenty of light, a gorgeous bathroom, and the whole thing was kept very clean. However, the shining star of this hotel was clearly the staff. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and to accommodate any needs you have. We stayed for our 10 year anniversary, and this was the best hotel experience we have had in those 10 years. If I had to pick anything it would be that the room service food from BOKA was slightly overpriced. It was good though so I can't complain too much.
Great location and very friendly staff. Room was very nice with a great bathroom. Bed was great and room was very clean. I would recommend this hotel. A little hard to find hotel because the name is on the side not on 1st Ave. Just the bldg address number 1000. Parking price kind of steep. $40.00 plus tax and something came to about $46 a night for one car.
Privacy and the staff The noise from Construction
Convenient location. Well appointed room. Excellent staff.
The entire staff was friendly and courteous and seemed to want our stay to be a pleasant experience, and it was! The room was clean, tastefully appointed and well laid out. The bath was great with a large soaking tub and a separate shower. $40 charge for valet parking
Clean and large rooms with great movie selection View of downtown was obscured a bit by an ugly backlot.
No tea coffee making items in room expensive to buy a cup of coffee
Everything. From the moment we arrived, the Valet was superb, the doormen were excellent, the front desk staff were fantastic, and the room was great. Every touch point with the staff was top notch. No
friendly staff too expensive
everything first class
It's a nice, clean hotel with quiet rooms in a great downtown location. Their pillows may be the most uncomfortable thing I've tried (and failed) to sleep on.
The location was great Too dark old Hotel needs updates not your average W very slow at getting Baggage From storage room that faces the parking garage feels like a dungeon
the atmosphere was very cool and swanky. the bar was a nice little place to hang out at the end of an evening. the cool corner king room was a nice size with a lot of windows. we were first put in a cool corner king room on the 'garage side' of the hotel. it was horrible. we were moved quickly down some floors but on the other side of the building. i wouldn't have recommended this hotel had we been booked on the garage side of the hotel, especially in a cool corner king.
Very nice hotel. Friendly front desk. Beautiful lobby. Concierge could have known more about local restaurants. His advice was good, but could have been better. The locals gave excellent restaurant advice. Otherwise, it was great.
No coffee maker in the room
The location is excellent and the information provided by the hotel was very good as well. The gym was also first rate.
The service was great. People were really nice and I got a free upgrade. I didn't particularly like the beds at the W. They felt lumpy. I stayed in The Westin the day after and I LOVE their beds! I also didn't really like the dark, club feel and the loud music in the lobby. I just wanted to relax and felt like I couldn't at the W.
Bed was soft Dogs next to us barking all night No gym as advertised Room couldn't get colder than 66 degrees
The location is great and the room is very nice. The front desk check in person mixed up our check-in information and even though our booking was for 2 nights, she insisted that we were only booked for 1 night. She wasn't apologetic at all about the mix up since we used a "discount booking agency" (her words not mine). So be aware of the hotel staff's snobbiness when you book through a "discount agent" (i.e. travel websites).
Boutique vibe, comfortable bed, trendy decor. Room was a little rough around the edges, didn't have the luxury feel I'd expect for $300+/night. No coffee or microwave in room.
The amazing sheets!! The view of the parking lot and super dark hallways.
Location Ridiculously high parking charge, no coffee maker in the room, no onsite jacuzzi, no club room. I would probably choose one of the other Seattle Starwood properties in the future.
The location was great, we had a huge room, and the staff was exceptional. We were able to check in early -a blessing- since we had just finished a cruise and had no where to put our bags. We were also able to leave out bags for free after check-out when we has several hours to kill before heading to the airport. I wish there had been a pool, and the restaurant prices were 10% too high for the quality.
great bed and view from the 29th floor. staff was very accommodating. up the hill the first time was a little tough but it really wasn't that bad. the hotel lobby smells like the restaurant which can get a little overwhelming when first walking in.
Parking attendants were not friendly; made it very uncomfortable to valet park my car. It also became annoying when they were not readily available.
Your staff is professional and friend. The location is convenient and the facility is good. I would recommend your hotel to my friends and colleagues. The hotwater system needs to be upgraded.
Friendly staff and central location. Having to pay for internet!
Renovations at the restaurant caused slow service for dinner, location a bit further from eateries than thought
good beds old room, no hot tub
Close to all the life of the city e.g. water, restaurants, shopping, etc.. I had booked for three rooms and when checking in the front desk let me know I had booked for 5 rooms? I showed them my booking and they said I would have to go back to booking.com
The room was spacious! Breakfast food options and service were terrible and to make it worse, I had pre-booked it for three mornings... It was one awful meal experience!
Location is good. Staff is extremely disrespectful and not willing to help.
The staff was friendly We had dinner at the hotel and were not mentioned any of the specials going on for New Years so that was poor I thought and the hotel and our room smelled like chlorine, which is not something that you want to smell in your room, also when your paying for a room you should not have to pay $32 for parking, when we paid for the room and dinner.
Fabulous views from our room. Very convenient location. Parking valet is inconvenient and expensive.
Great and accommodating staff. Wine hour was a friendly place to meet other guests. Close to everything in the downtown.
It was close to the ferry. The lobby was small but stylish. There were not a lot of people around so it felt homey. The rooms are small.
Hidden fees and high parking fees Price
It was very beautiful. The location was really awkward to get to. It was also mandatory to have valet parking and even bring our luggage down we couldn't just get a cart and bring it down ourselves
The staff was nice The rooms were tight, parking was SUPER expensive. I felt like I could have gotten better value for the trip had I booked a different hotel.
Overall ambiance, friendly staff, well-appointed rooms, very comfortable bed. Great location, excellent views--would definitely stay there again, without any hesitation. No--hotel was absolutely perfect.

Excellent location and Every staff member was perfect! No!
Located in the heart of the city
Location. Customer service.
The Alexis Seattle was a pleasant surprise. We absolutely loved it!

Good location in downtown that is walking distance to most downtown sites. Lobby restaurant had great breakfast. Thin walls allowed voices and tv to be heard from neighbors.
I liked the staff, the ambiance, and the room's modern amenities. The weird bathroom door.
Great location and super friendly staff. We were glad to be here without our kids. My only gripe is that the tv channels are very limited and you have to pay a lot extra for every tiny thing, even internet. In this day and age I think everyone should be giving out free internet!
The steam room, spa, cafe, bar, and 24 hour room service with quality food were all great perks. Jaime No complaints.
Location was convenient, restaurant was great, and the fitness center was excellent Only complaint was that the room wasn't soundproof to the hallway. I could hear everything outside the room in the hallway.
Good location to walking downtown and easy to get to from the airport using the light rail. The hotel wanted to charge for wifi, that should be free these days.
I found the bed and pillows to be most comfortable. The bathroom and room itself were quite spacious. I found the hotel staff to be friendly and accommodating to my needs. N/A
Great restaurant with decent prices and happy hour. Clean rooms. Spacious bathrooms. Cozy robes. Very comfy beds. Awesome location in the heart of downtown Seattle and shopping. Would stay again. Walls are paper thin. We heard the couple next door arguing for hours. We had to finally call front desk/security at midnight.
It was my girlfriend and I's first trip to Seattle. The hotel was within walking distance of anywhere you'd wanna go. The staff was super helpful and we were able to squeeze everything we wanted to do within the weekend we were in the city. Whether it's shopping, a concert at the paramount, the space needle, the farmers market, or just wanting to explore the city, the Hyatt gives you the opportunity to do all these things without needing any transportation other than you two legs.
Lap pool & spa were outstanding. Room service coffee was inconsistent.
View and room was very nice. Great service. Bedding is not very comfortable. Feels like all you have is a sheet on your bed. Super short bath tub.
Fantastic and clean rooms, and amazing staff. Would love to visit again.
The room was very nice and modern, bed was comfy, and the workout facilities were excellent! Nice to have a Starbucks, deli, and sushi restaurant attached to the hotel. Didn't like that I had to pay for access to the internet. $10/day for low speed, $15/day for high speed. A nice place like this shouldn't nickle-and-dime its customers, especially when even the cheapest Motel 6 usually offers free wi-fi these days.
Should provide free drinking water
Want a spa on location
Clean, comfortable, and spacious room. Courteous enough staff. Impressive building, with great location. Despite the high price of the room, they nickel and dime you for everything. Parking is not included in the price, even though the Hyatt owns the adajecent parking garage - hotel guests pay the same rates, if not more, than the general public who uses the same garage. Not a single movie channel (hbo, etc), so that you will have to buy their on demand movies for $20. Room service is overpriced and mediocre, with small portions.
Nice quiet room, large very nice bathroom, helpful friendly staff, overall an excellent 4 star hotel. Winter rates are very reasonable, summer not so much...Good food and shopping with in walking distance, all except for breakfast, never did find a "good" breakfast despite paying $45 for two. I'll be back. Parking. Valet $45 / Self $30. Saturday nights self parking is full.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I reserved a king suite and the bathroom and tub were amazing. I also liked the push button shades that allow you to completely darken the room. For breakfast one morning I ordered room service and it arrived on time and was delicious. The pillows were comfortable. Starbucks is located right downstairs! Two of my "clean" towels had a lot of hairs that were not mine. In fact one had a big hair ball folded in it. That was kinda nasty to find after taking a bath. The bed was not very comfortable and made my back hurt. I thought since it was firm that my back would love it but I was wrong.
The location is excellent for shopping, good eating spots, walking, and many more!! The staff are very friendly and also the room is always clean every time we stay.
Hotel was very clean. We had five rooms, two of them were not ready when we checked in and the staff was very quick to give the guys two MUCH nicer and bigger rooms in response. Overnight parking may have been a little spendy but it seemed very fair to not have to hunt through downtown for a better deal (and to have the car in an accessible location). It was very easy to get to our meeting in Queen Anne and then very easy to walk through the city when the work day was over. I would definitely stay here next time I am in the city for a fun weekend.
No vending machines, no breakfast
I enjoy the charm of older hotels and this one fit the bill. I paid $120 including tax through Kayak. The location is excellent. There’s a lot of variation in the room sizes. My son and daughter-in-law were at first assigned to a room so tiny that they could hardly walk around the bed, but they asked for a larger one and were assigned a very nice room with lots of space and a large sofa. My room was large with two queen beds and a love seat. The beds and pillows were great! I read the signs about saving energy, so hung up my towels and bathmat to keep them from being washed every day but I guess the housekeeping staff couldn’t read and replaced them every day anyway! Our big problem was the smokers!! I spent some time in my son’s large room, and was nearly knocked over by the strong smell of smoke in the hall. We complained to the front desk numerous times, and they kept saying that they would handle it and let us know, but it never improved. The first evening, after hours of smoke, we finally smelled some air freshener spray trying to cover the odor. We were told that a flight crew were the culprits, but they were obviously not told to leave if they were going to smoke, since it happened again the next day. My son and his wife were offered another room for their last night, but that’s a major pain to move. It’s hard to believe that a hotel cannot handle law-breakers in their establishment!
Beautiful room. Stores and bars all around. Close to the bus stop and light rail. The elevators were small and only two for 20 floors and no pool.
Friendly and helpful staff and clean contemporary rooms. Highly recommended.
The management was very rude and non understanding
The vintage look of the hotel & the location. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The room was small, but very clean. We would definitely stay there again if we were able to get a good price. There really aren't any amenities. No hot tub or pool & most important no breakfast.
I needed to change the day of my stay and the staff was very courteous and flexible. The hotel is located in the center of the shopping and restaurant area. Very beautiful place.
The location is great. The staff was very concerned and tried to be gelpful The hotel had no record of my reservation; if I hadn't been able to show my prepaid reservation on my phone, I would have had to pay again. The room was tiny; the hotel has no amenities, not even a vending machine. When I returned at 5:00pm my room had not been cleaned. Definitely not worth the $200 plus per night I paid.
Location was excellent and there were no unpleasant surprises Pretty bland and indistinguishable from all the others - -no character, especially for a place named after TR On way out, front desk did not have the ability to change a $20 bill - -what's up with that?
The room itself was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The location is central. The price very reasonable for downtown Seattle. Parking is expensive (but again its downtown Seattle). There are no amenities at this hotel. No restaurant. No bar. No pool. No room service (no food at all) Coffee by the front desk is about it. Additionally, the hotel does not have much character and neither do the rooms.
They had the most comfortable bed I have slept on.
The staff were very attentive and accommodating. The property has an interesting history, and evokes the feeling of that era
Weekend in Seattle! Found the Polar Bar in the hotel Lobby by accident on a previous trip and loved the ambiance! The lobby and bar remind you of days gone by, in a great way... I keep expecting a butler in black coat, white shirt, polished shoes to escort me to the "smoking room", like in the Titanic or something. Anyway, the decor is great, the staff at the hotel are very friendly, and the room I had was great! Corner room, king suite on the 7th floor! Wonderful view of downtown and Pioneer Square. We will definitely stay here again on a future trip.
The location was excellent and the staff was very good, We loved the bathroom and it's a size. The room could have been larger. Just the size of the room and the poor lighting.
I liked the location most, very convenient to everything. Room was nice, love water in lobby too The cost of parking, no free wifi, bathroom was incredibly tiny.
Excellent, friendly service, I would definitely return to this hotel. First given a "17" room, went to the front desk and Lin very kindly moved us to a different room, which was larger and brighter.
So mess up
I liked the quality of the bedding but we the bed didnt have a top sheet just the duvet and a sheet on the mattress. Pillows were nice and fluffy. No free wifi. You have to pay extra for almost everything even over night parking in the garage. There was construction going on which we didnt hear but they put temorary lables on the elevator buttons that were not very clear. We were not the only ones that had issues.
Great location for convention center.
The room was clean and had a great location to downtown.
Gym was awesome , BEST hotel gym I have ever been to. Super clean and great equipment and organization. I thought it was ridiculous that we had to pay extra for internet in the room, I can't remember the last time I was at a hotel and the internet was covered.
Very central to all points of downtown. Clean and modern with a friendly staff.
Classy. Clean. Kind helpful staff. Great location.
the comfort of the room.
The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The concierge(s) were very helpful and friendly. The location was pretty good- walking distance to many attractions. I was not informed when I checked in that a fee of $150 would be held off my card for the duration of my stay at the hotel. I checked out yesterday and have not had the money return to my account yet.
The location and views of Puget Sound/Seattle are amazing. And the staff was friendly and helpful - the concierge team was especially knowledgable for visitors like us that wanted to truly explore! The lobby seemed outddated (looked like there were about to start renovation though), and the under-building parking seemed antiquated. Next time, we will just use Metro transit and taxis.
Clean hotel. Nice weight room. Wait for check in was very long. On a Friday night at 6 PM there was only one receptionist checking in patrons. We waited almost one hour in this line. Expensive parking (~40 per night.)
Location and how nice the rooms where The hot water was a problem... Barely could get any and allot of times I got burned. I called to have them fix it and nothing changed.
Convenient to my meeting and public transit.
excellent service and attention to detail by staff. Lounge and restaurant very inviting areas and R View (restaurant on 28th floor) has a phenomenal view! 5 to 6 blocks easy walk to shopping and restaurants or Pike's Market. Free breakfast or parking on weekend. Breakfast is hot and has a great menu (not continental). Menu at R View is limited, and a little pricey for the small amount of food served. Parking is $30 a day. Some people not in good physical shape might find the walk from the hotel difficult and long.
Staff always made us feel pampered. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was good. Well-maintained, very clean, nicely designed and decorated. Convenient location. Construction noise from the skyscraper going up next door. Said skyscraper also blocked view. Unfortunately, neither is within their control, but did cost them a star overall.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Renaissance. We especially appreciated the free room service breakfasts. What a treat! The room was very nice and we were very comfortable. The television could have offered more selections. We wanted to watch the Huskies game and the station that the game was on wasn't available.
The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. You felt welcome from the time you walked in the hotel until you walked out. The location was excellent with easy walking acess to Downtown Seattle. Nothing negative about the hotel during my stay.
The building was built in 1928. You get a real key to open your hotel room. It's vintage!!! There is a basement restaurant as well. Price & location were superb My headboard squeaked everytime I moved...was annoying. Only two electric plugs were working & between my daughter & I, charging smartphones & ipad was a problem.
Location. It was in the heart of downtown. However, if I visit Seattle again, I won't be staying downtown - it's only alive during the day, it lacks nightlife. The hotel isn't very clean.
Location I've stayed here before, and knew what to expect. It's OK for when I travel solo, and all I need is a bed for a night. Yet comparing to comparable downtown hotels in other cities, I'm surprised how expensive it is.
Location & Price Old, which is fine, but could use more character, or a theme
I left the hotel after one night although I reserved for 14. No internet in the room. Poor standing.
no internet in the rooms only in lobby
Excellent location at a very good price. I liked the oldfashioned touch of the hotel and the location
