Fordeler: Fantastisk sted for "rømme fra byen " pause !

Fordeler: Stayed just one night. A really lovely peaceful spot, we enjoyed just lazing in the garden by the pool. Had a lovely evening meal, my husband loved the wine cellar.

Fordeler: The Staff is very friendly and kind.

Fordeler: Honestly one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. The rooms are a generous size, the breakfast is delicious. While all these things are true it is really the people that makes this special. Miguel who owns the hotel with his family is a brilliant host we particularly enjoyed being shown around his wine cellar and our cooking lesson! Lucy is also absolutely brilliant and so kind I really enjoyed talking with her. All the staff were brilliant and gave us an excellent stay. The cherry on top was Paco the pug!

Ulemper: The only thing I would change is writing this review! I don’t want to give the secret away of how special this place is.

Fordeler: The property was quite stunningly beautiful and our room was crisp and clean and wonderfully comfortable. The staff could not have been more kind or helpful.

Fordeler: Best stay in Portugal or Spain!

Fordeler: Wow, staying here was the perfect end to our Portuguese road trip! Miguel and his lovely family did everything to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. The hotel is set within a tranquil countryside location with modern and spacious rooms which were immaculate. Our 3 year old enjoyed exploring the organic fruit gardens and our teenager loved the pool. The hotel also has a restaurant, bar and wine cellar so it is perfect for those days when you don't want to venture out but still want to experience Portuguese culture. The roof terrace allows you to view Faro and surrounding countryside and at night, is was great for stargazing, my husband wished that he had his binoculars! All this and yet only 15 minutes drive to Faro - we will definitely visit this gem of a hotel again!

Fordeler: The family atmosphere

Ulemper: This was our second visit and it was all good

Fordeler: What a find! The hotel is beautiful; clean and modern with lovely traditional touches. Breakfast is a continental self-service buffet with plenty to eat with staff on hand to offer coffee and even made to order pancakes. Dinners are excellent, skilfully prepared with local produce. Location is a peaceful setting not far from Faro town, but what really makes it all work so well is Miguel and all the staff who work so hard and went the extra mile for my wife and I to make sure that everything went smoothly including bike hire and wine tasting. Nothing was too much trouble for them. As we had an early flight on the day of departure, a packed breakfast was prepared for us to take away. All in all,we had a great time and we will be back!

Ulemper: Nothing. It was all perfectly satisfactory.

Fordeler: The luxury room. Good bed. Good breakfast with fresh juice.

Ulemper: The food was good but not much choice. The restaurant is not cosy, felt a little strange to sit there.

Fordeler: Lovely, quirky little hotel. Worth the higher price tag! The staff were all amazingly friendly; nothing was too much effort! Lots of good recommendations of local restaurants & excursions. The bedroom & bathroom were perfect and the breakfast was a feast! Can’t wait to return!

Ulemper: Having to go home after being spoilt!

Fordeler: It was perfect for us to wind down for a couple of days. The staff were friendly and helpful. Faro was buzzing, a real find and this apartment had a great location. This is definitely a couples guest house, although as two families we were made very welcome.

Ulemper: Breakfast should be done as a buffet. I felt guilty over the waste!

Fordeler: Dette var et veldig artig og litt rart boutique hotell, med spillerom, vin-testing rom og et koselig frokost rom. Soverommet var stort og komfortabelt.

Ulemper: Frokosten var merkelig, med en rekke kaker og små kalde retter av litt tvilsom kvalitet. Det var så fjernt fra en vanlig internasjonal frokost som mulig, men absolutt interessant. Området rundt hotellet var ille tagget og litt forfallent.

Fordeler: God frokost, veldig sentralt til alt.

Fordeler: Breakfast was exceptional. The breakfast area was elegant. I used a dining area to catch up on some work and it was also well appointed. Close to everything however we visited in the off season..

Fordeler: The staff is really helpful

Fordeler: Pedro was wonderful, super welcoming anf with great communication. The guest house was peaceful and relaxed with a lovely ambience and great location for reaching the harbour and old town. Lots of lovely space for guests - bar area with Port tastings when available, lobby with seating/books etc, pool room. You can see that a lot of effort is going into upgrading this lovely house for 2020. So much effort to make guests happy. A plentiful breakfast was served by a lovely lady and consisted of meats/cheeses/pastries/juice/coffee/fruit/yoghurt. Thank you for a lovely one night stay! We will return to Faro!

Ulemper: I dont wish to sound too negative, the welcome here was amazing as was the location for our one night stay. However, it is useful to have constructive feedback. I found the bed very uncomfortable, though my husband slept fine, I did not, in fact hardly at all. It was a very hard bed, I did not like the blanket under the cotton sheets, you could feel the pattern on your skin which was irritating. I would suggest higher quality beds and/or mattress toppers as a good investment. The outer covers were super heavy, but I used them folded as a base to combat the grainy feeling of the sheets! I also felt that some fittings/facilities could be upgraded for better quality (like the bed) ie the hairdryer, the waste bins, the linens. We noticed the Opus logo design on everything, but this cost would be better used on really great sturdy fixtures/fittings in our opinion.

Fordeler: The beach was a short walk through the beautiful vegetation of the hotel grounds, or the marina.. so no shortage of choice.

Ulemper: N/A

Ulemper: Kan gjerne oppgradere tennisbanen..

Fordeler: Lovely hotel, everywhere is very clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The grounds round the lake are lovely, with a boardwalk so you can walk through the grounds, also a short walk to the beach. Breakfast great, had a large choice, something for everyone. Room was a good size, clean and nicely decorated, good to have a balcony. Walking distance to the Marina which has loads of restaurants. We will be back!

Fordeler: the Halloween Buffet was amazing , the confectionary was superb, Very well done to the pastry chef , it was a feast to the senses, a real trea the food in the main buffet was ok, the Girls running the kids club were absolutely brillant , thank you

Fordeler: For me the Staff made this a great stay

Ulemper: Could be better for family's with buggy

Ulemper: The sofa bed is horrible very uncomfortable. The indoor pool is very small and had no chairs inside and not very clean, people were coming in and out so it was always cold inside.

Fordeler: No information beach club closed when booked this should be noted for October. No shop near to buy supplies for apartments 10-15 min walk per day. Pool bar rarely open only saw it once during the week there. Got a huge bite on face with swollen face for 5 days on awakening!

Ulemper: No entertainment. One menu to eat daily no pool snacks ie pizza, drinks. No shop for apartments 10-15 min walk to get anything.

Fordeler: Very nice resort hotel with a beautiful overprized golf next to it. The apartment is huge and comfortable and very quiet for a good night rest. Lot's of swimming pools and a very luxuries sauna complex. The biggest of Portugal. Worth a visit.

Ulemper: Nothing to say here, it was almost perfect!

Fordeler: We have stayed here before and we like the location

Ulemper: When we arrived and went to our apartment the curtain was hanging down which made the room look untidy and there was no kettle in the kitchen. We phone reception and both things were put right.

Fordeler: Great location, as there a free shuttle that takes you to the beach/marina. Resort itself is lovely, with great facilities, free beach towels, 2 different pools, gym etc. Stayed in the 2 bed apartment, plenty of space, great facilities, including washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen - overall a fantastic place to stay. This is my second time staying and I have already booked to go back.

Ulemper: Water pressure was very low in shower and gym in not a gym only couple old equipment

Fordeler: The location has easy access to the highway and not so far from the airport.

Ulemper: I did not like the noise of the music at night, the hard bed, the unhealthy breakfast and dinner. Overall quality would not be a 4 star in my opinion. But probably great for kids because of the waterpark.

Fordeler: Everything was good! Additionally, I would like to say that one day I needed to go outside the hotel early and I asked to provide me the breakfast before the specific time for breakfast. I didn't had to bargain or beg for it. In the morning 6AM a worm breakfast was waiting for me with juice, an apple and some sweets. The staff so nice and competent. Best for 4 stars hotel. Recommend.

Ulemper: Nothing

Fordeler: The room was spacious and very clean. The staff was really nice and helpful. The breakfast was quite good, with lots of variety. It's a modern, well designed hotel with several interesting features, such as a gaming room in the ground floor and very relaxing balconies in every bedroom. The location is ideal, right next to its excellent waterpark and a short drive away from the beach.

Ulemper: The water pressure in the shower was a bit poor. The beds, while perfectly decent, could be a little more confortable. At around 9 pm, service at the indoor bar was really slow.

Fordeler: Amazing views, wonderful hotel, amazing food; buffet breakfast was excellent, meal in Pepper's restaurant was outstanding. Plenty of sun in south facing sea view room. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Made us very welcome.

Ulemper: Minor building works during off-peak season blocked direct access to beach from hotel. But access was possible with a short walk.

Fordeler: Beautiful hotel in perfect location. Made us feel very special

Fordeler: Lovely spacious room with views over the marina. Fabulous breakfast with everything you could possibly want. Lovely lady who came to turn down our beds in the evening and give us chocolates! Spotlessly clean hotel with an amazing spa.

Ulemper: Nothing!

Fordeler: This elegant and comfortable hotel had everything we were looking for. The spacious room had comfortable beds (our priority), and a spectacular view over the Marina area with its many restaurants and luxury yachts. It had a balcony where we could sit and look out over the harbour. The breakfast dining room was large and pleasant which included an outside terrace where we could eat outside, weather permitting. There was a varied selection of delicious food, all beautifully set out, and the staff were very pleasant and attentive. The pool and garden area was extensive and gave easy access to the beach. It was such a pleasant place to sit in the sun. The indoor heated pool was also large and we used it as It was too cold for the outside pool. All in all a lovely hotel.

Ulemper: It would have been good to have had a bidet in the bathroom, and we didn’t like the loud music in the Reception area, but these are minor complaints, and we would definitely recommend this hotel.

Fordeler: Very comfortable room and communal areas. Restaurant superb for both breakfast and dinner. Friendly and helpful staff.

Ulemper: Kunne ikke få en øl til frokosten,men "Cava" det var greit...og måtte påpeke at øl kostet penger?5 stjerners hotell bør gjøre det kunden ønsker uten at jeg må ta kontakt med hotell sjefen for å få det jeg ønsker.Suiten var ikke gratis!!Men det ordnet seg og de beklaget det.Liker ikke å få en dårlig start på dagen...

Fordeler: Everything was just good even at winter!! (Christmas) will deffo come back for summer

Ulemper: I have never visited a hotel before where you had to pay so much extra for small things. It didn’t say anywhere the pool wasn’t heated. It was freezing. Cruel for children to look at. €11 to use the spa. €9 for an hour of pool. €7.50 to get a bottle of wine open, and both fuzball tables in the kids play room charged !!!!We had to upgrade to a bigger room upon arrival because we had a 10 month old baby with us even though it says on the website babies are free. This cost €200 extra. All of this obviously had a negative impact on our holiday.

Fordeler: Went off season so it was very quiet but that was exactly what we wanted. Great facilities, lovely staff!

Fordeler: Visited in December for personal family reasons and it lived up to its reputation of a five star hotel even in an off season. Liked the extensive breakfast buffet, the spa and treatment facilities with warm indoor pool and the shuttle service to Vilamoura.

Ulemper: Nothing really

Fordeler: Love this hotel. Great staff, spa and heated outdoor pool, golf and Tennis. The Tennis Pro Vasco is worth coming for! This is our second visit this Year.

Ulemper: You need a car to get to the beach but the hotel has everything so you don’t really need to leave. Free shuttle to Town too.

Fordeler: Staff were good and very helpful. Very nice building and pool areas. Rooms were excellent.

Ulemper: Food choice is average. Either a very upmarket restaurant, a fish restaurant or a limited buffet. Very little to do on an evening so you need to leave the hotel to entertain yourself which is limiting as there is nothing in walking distance. Bar area is a little soulless.

Fordeler: Nice moment during my stay ! Lovely place and amazing sight ! I was really surprised, everything was literally as I could imagine. Calm and cozy all what I need. I will recommend this place.

Ulemper: I asked some questions when I booked but I haven no answers.

Fordeler: The Hostel faces the river/lagoon with a view across the marshes to the Airport and town. The associated restaurant/snack/bar bar is the other side of the road on the beach and faces out to sea. It was amazingly peaceful sitting on the Hostel terrace looking out even with the noise of the planes taking off in the distance. We had the 4 person room for the two of us. Small but perfect for our needs. Really comfortable beds, phone/usb charging points and a little private bathroom. Our stay was off season so no breakfast option (off season the restaurant/snack/bar doesn't open until 11h00). It was not a problem as there is a small general store 5 mins walk away (near the water tower) where we could buy some things to eat on the Hostel terrace watching the Spoonbills, Egrets, etc feeding on the river banks.

Fordeler: The terrace next to the sea is amazing. And just on the other side of the street is a restaurant that belongs to the hostel as well, with an amazing terrace at the beach too.

Fordeler: Beds changed and room cleaned everyday. Nice breakfast

Ulemper: Not great pressure in the showers

Fordeler: It is very stylish and nice. Also location is perfect.

Ulemper: There was something very smelly like canalization... But I guess this is temporary problem. Prices are also super high.

Fordeler: The cleaner Suzanne kept the place so clean. She was lovely and so freindly even though she spoke little English. The hostel was spotless. Beds very comfortable and easy access to bed side lamps and charger for phone. View out on the Bay was lovely and balcony area was very spacious with places to sit and eat.

Ulemper: The staff were not very freindly. Very rarely did they smile at me or know my name even though I booked in for 8 days. Only Suzanne the cleaner remembered my name

Fordeler: Location was great as well as view from living room and terrace. Common area is big and great.

Ulemper: Room was bit too small. We knew it and NB! booked (and paid) 4 persons room for 2. In winter time the common area might get cold. We are just used in North Europe that if outside is below 15 Celsius, then inside is always +21 Celsius or more...

Fordeler: Staff were really great, location was good, beds were reasonably comfortable although it was two singles and as we'd just got engaged we wanted a double.

Ulemper: Wifi didn't work, beds were crammed in- and there were three, when we only needed the one double- room service selection was really poor, facilities were ok but the pool was absolutely freezing, shower leaked everywhere and the bathroom grouting had mould growing on it, room temperature control didn't work so on a hot day was pouring out hot air into the room...to say it was a four star hotel it has two star qualities. Be glad the staff are fantastic because the rest of it was really poor. Would definitely never go back.

Fordeler: Flott frokost som vi spiste på terrassen. Svømmebasseng, bar og matservering på takket!! Sentral beliggenhet. Vi hadde bestilt superior rom med utsikt mot marinaen som ble oppgradert til suite uten ekstra kostnad.

Fordeler: Høy standard på alle måter. Aktiv, positiv innstilling hos alle ansatte. Gratis wifi med god stabilitet. Hyggelig pool-område med bar på hotellets tak.

Fordeler: Restaurant in Dom Jose was cleaned and maintained by the staff to the highest standard. Attention to the needs of customers was lovely to see.

Ulemper: Due to the large number of English visitors I would have liked a better quality of breakfast food. E.G. English bacon and sausages, fried mushrooms and larger cups for breakfast tea. A very limited and poor choice, for the English taste, of Lunch and Buffet limited courses E.G. Only one Fish, Meat and Vegetarian course

Fordeler: Da vasken på badet ble tett og safen ikke lot seg lukke igjen, kom det folk øyeblikkelig og fikset. Bra at det var vannkoker på rommet. Selv med rom mot bakgate var det lite støy. Enkelt å leie sykler og badehåndklær. Veldig hyggelig personale. Kjempebra frokost med stort utvalg

Ulemper: Ikke noe kaffe på rommet, kun te. Litt harde senger.

Fordeler: Modern and clean, staff were helpful.

Fordeler: The location was fantastic 2min for beach and marina.

Fordeler: I stayed a couple of nights here at end of Oct. It was a pleasant experience. Check in and check out was quick and efficient. I was half board so breakfast and dinner included. Breakfast was buffet style with all you could want and dinner was fine, if perhaps a little limiting on the choice of items on the a la carte menu available. Location is great - just a few steps from either the marina or the beach. Room was fine with small balcony and table/chairs. Wifi worked in my room. No noise issues - although I don't think the hotel was very full when I stayed. They accommodated my late check out request with no issues. All in all, a fine experience.

Ulemper: More choice at dinner for the half board menu.

Fordeler: Rent og pent, fin beliggenhet. Syns at over 200 euro er vel mye PR natt.

Fordeler: Good hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful particularly as we arrived quite late. Our room was more like a suite with an excellent sun terrace that had table and chairs and two sun loungers. An excellent breakfast buffet with hot and cold choices. Lovely breads and pastries. We would definitely choose to stay there again.

Fordeler: Handy for marina and airport

Ulemper: The shared bathroom is disgusting. The high pressure from the toilet flush causes faeces and other nasty things to go all over the rim, seat and floor. One bathroom between many guest is uncomfortable. Taps leak too.

Fordeler: I highly recommend living in this hostel. I had a chance to live 3 nights and everything from check in was on top.It’s not the season now, so there were few people. I felt like at home. The breakfast is not very extensive, but the price for the stay was pleasant. The mexican dinner with latin music was very tasty:) Thanks guys on the reception. Seeing Faro and this hostel, I wanted to continue to get to know Portugal Obrigado.

Ulemper: you may come across a very snoring neighbor

Fordeler: The staff were amazing and everyone at the hostel was very friendly!

Fordeler: Old building right in the city center with inner yard with flowers and red fishes. Nice big common living room. Friendly stuff. Quite clean.

Ulemper: This building requires a serious reparation.
