The level of service at the spa was excellent and the food was good. The hotel was a "work in progress". The were no staff on hand apart from at reception which was always very busy. The bar was closed until 11pm in the evening and there did not appear to be anybody in charge anywhere.
Moder design, clean, close to the beach The personell is not enough, queues at lunch / dinner. Food buffet could be improved for this hotel category
A good and friendly hotel.
Loved the location, the facilities and the views!
the rooms where excellent but we felt the buffet food dinner /breakfast could be improved as before only the food we stayed one night then we stayed at the papa luna and the food is far better and entertainment
Would definatly go back there again, we were the only english visitors there @ the time, but were made more than welcome
The position of the hotel and the splendour of the room
location excellent for beach the walls are very thin we heard normal conversations from next door.
The location of this hotel is perfect. Opposite one of the nicest beaches. The suite we had was very spacious and clean. Nothing to complain of. We have used this hotel before and will definatly use again if we are in the area. Some of the reviews mention it is a long walk to the nearby town center... Well if you are lazy I supose it could be, but for us we actually enjoy the pleasant stroll along the sea front.
Level of facilities and quality of accommodation was excellent. We had a very large, clean and airy room with a large balcony. Meals were fairly basic but for the cost represented very good value for money. It's a long walk into Peniscola but there is a regular bus service past the hotel
location - view od Mediterranean
Location in a quite place in front of the beach, the hotel looks new and is very confortable. Very friendly staff. The customers are mayority seniors, which is also a posite point that results in a quite environment
Bar staff and ambience of public areas good. For the type of restaurant (ie Buffet ) evening meal pretty good.Very good value for money in the winter months.Bedrooms fine . The bathroom was somewhat tired and needed taps updating
Hotel was very noisy
A very nice small hotel(a family business).Very good services, well placed No fridge;poor breakfast; street noise during the night;TV could be changed
Small and friendly near to beach and bus routes
Good location. Lot of noice at weekend. Ask for rooms not in front. breakfast as it says. We stayed at a fiesta weekend so it cost more. Friendly stuff. Not much on the price. You get what u pay for. No parking places near. U need to pay for parking per hour.
Refitted recently. Excellent accommodation for the price.
Nice hotel, very nice staff, ok breakfast, very nice location, close to the beach and city center.
It is run and own by a very nice and worm local family, great worm frindley place to stay.
Very nice town for sightseeing or just lying on the beach or sitting at the pool.
Hotel and food were both excellent. Close to the beach and shops Yes the constant shouting down the microphone by the entertainers all day and evening. The music that was also played during the day was like Chineese torture!!!
Proximity to the beach, which is quieter than the beach nearer the old town (separated by a road and promenade, though it doesn't look like that in the photos), spacious rooms and jacuzzi, reasonably soundproofed, swimming pool, bars nearby for drinks and ice-creams. If you're looking for the quieter side of Peñiscola then it's the perfect pace for you. Bear in mind that it's about 200/300m from Benicarlo. Check-in was fast and efficient. Hotel description:3km stroll to Peñiscola town- not true. It's at least 5km/an hours stroll- even by car it takes 15/20 mins. The quality of the food was certainly not 4*, hardly even 3*. The breakfast was pretty awful (almost undrinkable coffee & fake, overly sweet juices). The dining room was really crowded at ALL times, and queues were the norm to get in & to get any food which made the dining experience a bit of an ordeal. I'd recommend eating in one of the many local restaurants which are great value. The spa was extra, kids not allowed either. The room we had was at the end of a 300m corridor...not for the old or infirm. Why do we have to pay for parking?a bit of a rip off!
The location and the in house facilities and entertainment. See note in No 1
Very good location - just near the see, possibility to swim in the see and warm up near the swimming pool, and very good tradition to offer cava during breakfasts...
The food was awful, and much of it was inedible. Guests were moved through hotel and restaurant like cattle. Pool was only open for kids 1 hr/d despite being empty.
Nice, quiet location. Fine swimming pool
1. Facilities are reasonable 2. Food is OK - well managed buffet but you can see it is prepared to a budget. 3. If your British and like bacon, don't go there with big expectations. 4. Staff were helpful and but working seemlessly. 1. Having to queue for 45 minutes to check in, must improve check in procedure. 2. Paying for car parking, but no spare space & lack of road to park in near the hotel -> no mention of this in their web page. 3. Hotel is surrounded by building under construction, looks like a building site! 4. Children under 12 years can not use the indoor pool in the SPA.
2nd visit. Staff were great, Upgraded us to a suite, will be back next year
Realy good location. Food something for everyone on buffet Only a couple of the staff could speak a little English. Sometimes entertainment was too loud.
The absolute top of 9 "booking.com hotels" we visited this year. Good location, large room and especially bathroom, beautiful view from the balcony, rich dinner buffet, nice swimming pool, friendly staff,...
comfort, location No towel service, strange for a 4 star hotel. Reservation system for diner is strange (just breakfast included, and problems to have diner in one of the a la carte restaurants
Nice location and a wide variety of facilities.
The fact that the beach was right infront of the hotel and the cheap bar next door to the complex, with euro1.70 beers. If you want to holiday in a retirement village where families come to visit the old folk then this is the place. Get to breakfast very early to avoid numerous screaming children.
Good rooms and restaurants. Helpful staff. It is a family hotel in summer and there are hundreds of young children and loads of noisy organised games all day and up to midnight. Meal times also very noisy due to all the young kids.
comfortable room no
The food was a little disappointing.
The quality and choice of food and wine was excellent. The staff helpful and friendly in spite of what must have been a stressful time with the senior citizens A very small niggle, there were no single malt whiskies at your bars. This seems to be generall in Spain
Continental breakfast buffet was ok. 5 minutes walk away from the beach. A lot of restaurants around. Free public parking near the hotel. Stuff speak no english. I got a spoilt milk.
The hotel is a few minutes walk from the beach. There's a restaurant downstairs, but it's also close to lots of waterfront restaurants and bars. The air conditioning is centrally controlled. Parking is quite a walk and you have to pay.
We secured 2 nights full board for £30 p.p. approx. At those prices the hotel - a real 4 star - was an absolute steal. The location on the beach and close to castle was excellent . The food was good with always one or two dishes that were excellent - for a buffet . Drinks were inexpensive . One of the reception staff was unpleasant , the rest of staff were friendly and good .
Good location. Excellent parking.
It was just one night but we had a very good experience!
All extremely good. No
location is very good, the breakfast is perfect The furniture in the lobby and in the drink bar is very old
The hotel has a great location, food very good, helpfull staff very clean and comfortable. Noise from next rooms and hall due to tiling floor, should put more signs up to remind guest to be quiet an considerate to other guest, tissues in bath room, coffee maker, and English TV would make the stay even better as this is a very Spanish hotel and resort. not many Brits which is great!!
The beach front and terrace. Selection of food during breakfast and dinner were great. The hotel was rated 4 stars which we did not think it's right. The room, bed, bathroom had been built in a cheap way and no style. The room had no sound proved system. The air-con made very loud noise so that the room next to us had to put TV very, very loud until after midnight while we had been driving for more than 300 kms and would need a good sleep.
Location was great, very nice hotel, friendly staff, buffet was acceptable
All very clean and modern Buffet food service was not particularly attractive or appetising
The main plus of this hotel are meals. The breakfasts and dinners were really good. It is very nice that the hotel tries to provide different menu, each day there were changes, and the foods of different countries - Italy, arabian, etc. It is also well situated close to the beach and main town distinations. I didn't like the rooms, the rooms have old smell, when you open the door each time it is really awful. The furniture in the room is ikea style of 80'S. The best place in the room is bathroom, it was large enough. There are a lot of old people and families with children in the hotel. It is of course not a 4 stars hotel.
Good bungalow with good facilities. Excellent food and staff very helpful. Very poor signage to get me to this resort. Needs more signs. Took 1.5 hours to find from the main town (Peniscola).
The bungalow is a nice setup and comfortable. The advert is misleading - not a beach resort, as it is 5.3km away from the beach in the farm area. The packages (breakfast / halfboard) is also misleading as many things are excluded from this which you only learn from once you want to use it. We had to struggle 3 days just to get our names on the list for halfboard to enable us to eat without a running between the restaurant and reception.
We liked the neat bungalow, helpful staff, and interesting set-up. It was also very quiet and peaceful to sleep. Too far from town center for us, a little strange smell inside the cabin, lots of bugs in bathroom... but that's typical for a mountain bungalow.
Staff very friendly and accommodating with my husband's food, he is a coeliac. Site was very well laid out and spotlessly clean. The pool didn't look very clean. Needed more than 2 coathangers in the bungalow. Lighting poor.
Location Did not offer Free WiFi internet service
Hotel stuff kindly prepared a good room with nice view. People working at hotel were extremely nice! Hotel itself was very old and non-modern style with non-nice exterior or interior appearance. The hotel did not provide any luxuary feeling. The hotel looked one of the worst comparing to other hotels in the same area. However the hotel price was really high.
Position in Resort, Helpfulness of Reception Staff
Beautiful place, good menu.
The location of the hotel
location, town in general
Location only It smelled terrible. Mirror broken in room. Old and worn down. A lot of money for lack of quality which was very different from other rooms we booked with you.
Super ruidoso, super viejo "de cuentame" y la ventana de los baños da al pasillo
The possibility of taking my dog. The room I was given was over the discoteca and, although most of the other guests were OAPs, there was a lot of noise (dancing, etc.) until very late. I had decided to break my journey in Peñiscola and was hoping to have a good long sleep, but it wasn't possible.
Hotel is located in very nice place on the sea with wiev to the old tower. There I felt very comfortably.. There it was quite cool when it was rainy day...there was not warm heater in the room
