Staff people were very kind and serviceable and the food at the restaurant was very tasty. Absolutely nothing to complain.
Warm, comfortable, very friendly and helpful staff, good food A lounge with tv would have been useful for those who want to stay in during the day
The hotel is very is really in the down town The heating system seemed not working properly.
Excellent location in the centre of the town, with friendly staff. The rooms were quiet, comfortable and clean. I would have preferred tea and coffee making facilities in the room (although I accept that this may not be normal in Dutch hotels). The breakfast was expensive and the hot food was overcooked.
Close to centre, good access, pleasant staff, clean rooms No
nice staff. Room comfortable. very good location, nearby the downtown too noisy with the doors. bad isolation. the room card does not always work when we come back late evening.
Very good hotel, excelent location. Small single room but its ... Holland. Very clean. They don t have fridge. Sometimes a light smell from the canal.
Conveniently located near the centre of Leiden. Our room was very well appointed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts good. The room safe did not work and the hotel had no central safe where we could leave valuables. Evenings were noisy but this was mainly due to a series of weekend concerts in the nearby square, and things quietened after midnight. Mini bar only available on payment of a 50 euro deposit
Quiet and reall confortable there is no Internet access via WIFI
Big windows in room, every day clean towels, small hotel near the center, air condition Wi-fi must be free in rooms, bar may be open in room
Big rooms and bathrooms and location Hotel in process of renovation and some features unfinished - could be OK when work completed.
This hotel is inaccurately rated as a 3-star hotel, but in reality it's barely a 1-star. The furnishings in the rooms are old and unclean. The first room I had was leaking water from the ceiling, and when I changed rooms the second room also had a leak in the ceiling. The bed mattresses are old, sagging and very uncomfortable. And the worst part is that this hotel is far overpriced for a 1-star hotel. I've stayed in youth hostels that are better than this. I've also stayed in nearly every other hotel in Leiden, and this is far and away the worst in town.
It is directly down the main street coming out of the train station and was perfectly located for the work I had to do at the University of Leiden. For a hotel labelled "three stars," it was really pretty shabby. The bed sagged badly. Everything was "adequate," but nothing more than that. The desk staff answered questions, but were sharp on the point of being impolite.
The staff were very accommodating and very helpful
Good location, friendly staff
convinience to rail station, good bedside light, good clean bathroom and shower, plenty TV stations and a very reasonable price No aircon althought this is not a probelem in Winter
privacy no bathroom robe and slippers
very well located, close to the train station and the city centre
the kindness of the staff The breakfast is poor, maybe they could change it.
The hotel is centrally located within the town of Leiden. It is within walking distance of the railway station, restaurants, canals and shopping. The hotel seemed a little run down and breakfast was very basic. Some staff were very welcoming but a number let the side down by being unfriendly and sharp with guests.
There is nothing positive of note to mention. I wouldnt recommend anyone stay here. Broken toilet, mouldy walls, rude and indifferent staff, unreachable line (if you call the front desk you get a taxi service who takes a message and brings it to staff who roundly ignore it), broken refrigerator, unclean smell, unfair room assignment, cleaning staff leaves garbage and supplies all over the stairs making it harder to navigate safely, especially with baggage. I could go on.
