This hotel was my first experience with a Four Seasons Hotel and certainly worth the expense. The staff were welcoming and accommodating to me on an individual level. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The food was out of this world. A great hotel in a great location. It's the place to stay if you want to treat yourself!
Super location, short walking distance to so many spots. The hotel is first class. Spendy, but worth it because the location means you can really just enjoy the sights without so much hassle with getting around the town.
The room, view, amenities, and location were great; The one major issue was the staff - one of the desk clerks continued to harass my wife, asking for photos, and also to go on a date. It made the stay quite uncomfortable .. I would not expect this from a three star hotel!
good view The airconditioner is not working at the hotel .I adviced this hotel to my professor scientist colleguaeas .One them recently visited May 30 2010 from Taiepei and he told me that the airconditioner is not working Only fan is working . at that time I warned the hotel service . then for the SSIEM meeting I stayed and 3 of my other collegueas booked and stayed one from Belgium and the others two from UK and we had still the same problem air conditioner was NOT working I complained about this to hotel service and they told me that they can not do anything for that. It is not good for hotel that has a very nice location . I am sure , you will have more pressure on this air conditioner fixing or having a new system there Thank you
The staff is very friendly and helpful, the view excellent (you can see from your window all the city, Agyasofia and Blue Mosque) and the tramway station very close to the hotel. I ll return to this hotel if I ever visit again Istanbul. The fact that the elevetor comes up to the 7th floor, and you have to walk some stairs to go to the roof garden which is on the 8th floor.
Staff was efficient and courteous.....however the beds need definately improvement...the mattresses felt like they had been used by very heavy overweight people with a definate hole in the middle. We stayed in room 401 which sizewise was ok but had very few hangers for hanging clothes. New mattresses absolutely necessary... they should also provide a little more light in the corridors of the hotel... it was almost pitch dark and one had difficulties to insert card to open room doors.
staff were excellent internet connection was subject to problems
Very convenient position for visiting the old town and the local attractions The room was extremely hot as the air conditioning was ineffective, no air conditioning in the breakfast room, staff not particularly helpful.
Most amazing view of the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque from my room.
A very nice hotel in a perfect location.
Rooms not very spacious but quite clean and well-maintained. Comfort is ok, but not exceptional. Furnishing and decoration need update. Breakfeast buffet might be a bit more refined. Overall, acceptable value for money but there are better options available. The view is magnificent on the 6/7 th floor.
Perfect location, good atmosphere, very nice views,
pretty nice hotel, great location and view from the roof dining room breakfast could be better
The location and view were very good The only luxurious aspect of the hotel are the room prices. Given the price we were expecting something better than old furniture, staff that would not make the room in the afternoon and soap/shampoo coming from an dispenser attached to a wall. The worst was the minimalist breakfast supposed to last until 10:30 but which is almost empty at 9:30 and with staff starting to dispose of it at 10:15. Hotel does indeed have a gym, massage and jacuzzi, but you have to pay just for "general facilities access", and again for the activity you choose. We don't recommend this hotel, there are many better ones with same location advantage!
A fine location, very interesting use of old location and artifacts from archeological excavation, comfortable room and very pleasant welcome. This is our second and I hope not last stay.
Good location. Breakfast ok. Bed acceptable. They put as in a closet first. 1 st floor room, size of a double bed. After complaint, they changed us, but then the service was cold. Also the reception gave false information about public transport.
location of hotel to the main attractions
We loved the proximity to all the major sites in the old city of Istanbul, and we really enjoyed how the hotel incorporated ancient artifacts into their decor! When we arrived, we werreee upgraded to a suite which was wonderful. The rooftop breakfasts were very nice as well. The wifi was a little unreliable.
The beds are too hard as are the pillows. There was no heating despite the cold nights. The hot water supply is unreliable
The Eresin Crown is centrally located, very comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. Drinks and some food items in the restaurant are overpriced. The roof terrace, which is one of the main features of the hotel, was not open for breakfast although the weather was fne and sunny.
Great location, great breakfast.
Exellent!! The hotel was great, nice room, good location in old city-would definitely stay again
Had a beautiful suite (had double room on the reservation even though now I see on your information it says "exclusive" double room). The hotel staff was helpful and polite. The location could not have been better. We walked to all the Sultanahmet sights, blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, AyaSofya, Topkapi Palace. No.
Very nice location, good staff, nice breakfast, highly recommended
Friendly staff. Accomodating. Extremely central location for Istanbul. They tried to push a tour on us but it wasnt too bad. Overall very good people!
good quality for given price. Was only due to the low season I am affraid.
Location, clean room and good beds, private use of sauna, friendly staff, spacious room for 2 persons The room in the first floor was sometimes quite noisy, in the room was lack of wardrobes especially with shelves, the lights with the key card was hard to put on, it would be nice to have some variation in the breakfast
A very nice location + a very friendly staff.The Hotel is small,but nice The rooms are too small+description is wrong:rooms are not suit.for 4 persons,even for 3 pers.not comfortable(Suites).Rooms are looking to a wall,at least the suites.
the staff was very friendly and this nice hotel is located in the most interesting place of Istanbul, near ayia sofia and blue mosque. And with great connection with other places such as Grand bazzar and the taksim square.
The staff were very friendly. i felt like home. The hotel is in the middle of all attractions. The hotel is small compared with the pictures on the site
Hotel well located. Spacy room. The hammam does not work. You can not use the spa when ever you want. You have to book before, you can not share the hammam with other people.
staff service / welcome
The staff and the location. The room was fine as well
The location Next door construction
Excellent location, very closed to metro.Excellent breakfast, good restaurant.Room and bed linen clean.Free drinking water. worn carpet
modern and new look. spacious and well furnished rooms. central location
1. Excellent decor and interiors. 2. Very helpful and friendly staff. The Guest Relations Manager at the reception (A lady) helped get us a very nice room. 3. Bellboy, was very courteous & helpful.4. Great hammam experience at the Spa. Breakfast was just about okay, but nowhere near the standards of the overall hotel.
Great location, friendly staff and clean rooms Nothing
Location. Nice amenities. 3 star at best. Dark rooms, dogs welcome you at front door. Taxi can't easily get in because it's a very busy and crowded street
The hotel's staff was truly exceptional. Words cannot do justice to the unique treatment I received at Sura. I felt more like family than a guest, and I would go out of my way to stay here again. Thank you for creating such a great team! Awesome location!
Sorry it was bad
Welcomed at the airport to be driven to the hotel especially great when flying overnight and such a long flight at that. Large room with one double and one single bed. The most comfortable bed ever! Very nice young man at the desk but the girl the next day had no personality. Good breakfast and great to use the internet.
Very good location in a touristic area. Decent rooms, decent breakfast, free wifi. Rooms are outdated, it is not 4*, maximum 3*.
We were upgraded to a spacious stylish suite, excellent bed and shower. Breakfast area at the roof offfers an amazing view at Bosphorus. Location of the hotel is superb. Breakfast isn't impressive, same everyday and pity that they don't serve fresh coffee.
I have travelled to Istanbul several times on business and have stayed in different hotels. But when I decided take my wife for a short break, I decided to stay in Sultanahmet, which is the historical centre of Istanbul and walking distance from most of the tourist attractions. I did the usual initial internet research and Obelisk Best Western pictures looked good, being recently refurbished. After speaking to Mehmet in reservation and due to his warm manner, we booked in for three days. Throught our stay, we had an excellent service and the cleanliness of the hotel to be admired. The icing on the cake was, when a left behind book was posted to my London office! In summary... Excellent hotel at perfect location with admirable service, A perfect holiday...
Great location .. Friendly staff.. That was the first time I visited to Istanbul. And It was amazing. Hotel is located just a short walk from historical places. And also foods were too delicious..
Competent English speaking staff on reception and in the restaurant. Breakfast was extensive and regularly topped up throughout the 2 hour period with freshly made food. Ensuring that whatever time you went to breakfast the food was plentiful and fresh. Also pleasing that the roof top terrace restaurant/bar is open all day. Many hotels in the vicinity close theirs up after breakfast which is a great shame when one of their main attractions is that they have a roof top terrace to see the spectacular & unique views of Istanbul. Although a quiet location, it is central, well lit with a selection of restaurants literally 1 minutes walk. I requested a Twin Room when booking with Booking.Com specifically stating it was my mother and I sharing a room. On arrival we were given a Double. The hotel showed me the reservation by Booking.Com and this information had not been conveyed to them. The hotel was full and was unable to do anything that night. In the morning the hotel arranged for a room that met our original booking requirements. Whilst disappointing and upsetting to arrive to this situation after a long days travelling we were pleased with the way in which the hotel dealt with the matter.
The hotel was clean and well located, very close to all the touristic sites.
This is a quaint, small boutique hotel in the historic Sultanamit area of Istanbul right opposite the blue mosque. Location is perfect for those interested in the historic attractions of the city. Although a fairly basic establishment, service is friendly and efficient with clean rooms. There is a Turkish Bath and I can recommend it for facilities. Restaurant has wonderful view. I have stayed here twice and have enjoyed a different experience.
A little gem in the heart of Istanbul. Perfect location, good food and excellent service. Rooms were well equipped and have free wi-fi. The staff and welcome was excellent. If you are in Istanbul then use this hotel. Yoou will not be disappointed.
Service from staff was good and it is easy access to Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia. We visited there in mid-Oct and it was raining and cold, but heating system in the room was very good. Breakfast starts too late (from 7:30AM) and the room was not very sound-proof and it was quite noisy when people were talking or walking in the corridor.
the cleanliness of the room. the price of the bottle water.
hotel is nice, rooms are ok, sea view was partly closed by the wall... very noisy, staff makes a lot of noise, so guests can't rest... or may be isolation in rooms is bad... but does not worth this money. there are much nicer small family hotels around and prices are cheaper...
I liked the area, the furniture and the terrace. The breakfast was rich and various, and the staff is kind. The bar is gorgeus. No.
the location was convenient for the Old town and the breakfast were excellent Booking .com quoted in Euro's Hotel settled in Lira
The hotel was in a terrific location and it was very traditional. Would definitely stay there again.
perfect location, gorgeous terrace, good breakfast, nice hotel entrance with fountain and turtles
Thank you for having such great servers, concierges and housekeepers at this hotel.
The hotel is excellent in all aspects. NO
Best things i like about Armada are location of the hotel, its right next to most of the historical land marks. The Breakfast and the terrace veiw is the best Nothing !
I like the old ottoman style and the foods were excellent
The cleanliness of the hotel. Everything was very good.
Very good location, right next to Blue Mosque The hotel itself and the district nearby is quite nice but expensive.
Very good location in the Old Town of Istanbul, in one of the best streets full of renovated hotels and restaurants. The view from the roof is marvellous (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Sea of Marmara). The hotel was recently renovated, the staff is really helpful. This is not really a 4* Hotel in terms of the European classification, the rooms are quite small, breakfast is abundant but not really varied. The spa facilities are expensive.
location Small room. Very poor sound isolation. Noisy
Staff was very helpful when we had some problems (not of their making) and the facility was clean.
Great location, just few steps aside from major attractions, in a streat full of restaurants. Very nice terrace on top with blue Mosque and St Sofia wonderful view. Confortable rooms, very clean. It is recommended for families as well.
Very professional staff that was able to satisfy all our needs. Position is really fantastic: very close the the most important monuments. Due to a reservation problem (overbooking ?) We did not find the rooms available the first night ! We were transferred to a different hotel (very modest and cheaper) for the night. The day after, early in the morning, We were moved back to Byzantium hotel where We had breakfast. It was really annoying, but we appreciated the efforts of staff to fix the issue. At check-out time We asked, and obtained, some discount for the first night.
Location is handy for main Sultenahmet sights. Rather uninviting lobby -- large and gloomy. Tiny rooms with inadequate heating control. Pretty typical Sultanahmet tourist trap!
The only thing I liked was the location. The hotel is situated near the Blue Mosque in the Old City. The pictures of the rooms I've seen on your website are absolutely not matching with the reality. The room was very small and not comfotable at all.
great location - near all attractions and in the nicest area of the city, friendly staff, excellent value for money, very clean
The hotel is very well located. 5 minutes walk to all the major attractions in the old city. Also close to the tram that takes you to other parts of the city. There are many restaurantes, shops and markets nearby. The Hotel is clean and neat. It offers an ok breakfast. Staff speaks well english and and very pleasant. The hotel advertises turkish bath, sauna but that isn`t free even tough it isnt expensive. There is some noise in the street since there are many restaurants around.
