Great location off of the Interstate, plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Shower curtain had a little bit of mold on it.
The room was comfortable and clean. It was quite all night. The manager was very helpful and attentive.
Hotel staff was friendly and upgraded my room to a suite without me asking. Staff could not give me directions, room reeked of garlic, bathroom sink and tub dirty and had hair on them, big hole in bathroom door, no conditioner, no do not disturb sign, entire hotel smelled funny, No hotel directory in room, I could go on and on...

Water leaking from ceiling in bathroom. Bathroom floor slippery from leaking water. Air conditioner did not work well.
Easy to findBreakfast was greatStaff was great

There was construction mess and the hotel is filthy. I made a reservation for a King size bed and when I arrived they told me that all of the King/smoking rooms were under construction. He told me that the 2 queen bed room was an upgrade, but that he would give it to me at no extra charge. I looked it up, same price. Please don't piss on my shoes and tell me it's raining. The fridge didn't work, so they brought me a new one. I asked him if he were sure tha this one was working and he assured me that I was a
This was a very convenient location. When we had issues with the original room we were assigned, they were very quick to remedy the situation and apologized. I could hear the night worker following up with management on the phone. The first room we were given had not been cleaned.
The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The receptionist was courteous and friendly. I would definitely come here again.
Pillows are the best!! Nothing
Cleanliness is my most important requirement when booking a hotel...The Bloomington Comfort Suites gets an A+++ Not a thing....Everything exceeded my expectations!
We found all the amenities we needed. Very clean and wonderful free breakfast. Nothing
It was all good
Coffee was not hot at 9:30am. Needed someone to wipe off tables and keep garbage from over flowing.
Good, clean hotel. Good breakfast and stayed open. Not a big area for sitting down. Small pool but great for smaller kids. We would stay again. Pool deck looks like it was redone but was very slippery.
It was less than 24 hrs, that we stayed in this hotel, but the room was of a good size with light and of quiet location Not that I can think of
location, price, and good front desk staff hot breakfast isn't very good. need to have higher toilets.
I liked the set up of the room, but they had roaches and it could of been cleaner. The roaches
GREAT service, friendly staff!
Very clean, very friendly staff

Location, price of rooms, no musty smell or odors, comfortable beds. need to have the taller toilet stools
Friendly staff, always courteous & knowledgeable about the area and local restaurants. Wish breakfast had ran until 10am
The staff was very helpful with all our difficulties. When we checked in they gave us a room that had no glass in the window!!! They then moved us to another room which was supposed to be no smoking but smelled like smoke. They finally moved us to a bigger room that was great. Not sure this should be 2 star
The staff NO ELEVATORS!
Friendly staff, a nice breakfast, a quiet room, and comfortable bed and pillows...the outside gives the appearance of an ok hotel but the inside is modern and comfortable and clean. No problems at all - a pleasure to stay here and convenient too!
Friendly Staff Breakfast was also good. Could be updated. But overall nice place and good sleep.

The motel is well located and easily reached. Everything was well maintained andand in good work order. The room was quite small. There was little space to walk around the queen sized bed. This was not a problem for me as I didn't spend much time in the room and was traveling alone. It would have been a serious consideration had I been accompanied.
The room was clean, neat, attractive and well appointed. breakfast was $10.00. I headed off to McDonald's
I like that was very clean and checking in and out was very fast. Good service! I plug in the small refrigerator and it make a loud noise all night long but I was too tired to unplug it ,
Staff was very friendly and efficient . morning breakfast was okay the eggs taste completely fake! Every morning I've stayed here I've had the eggs 3 times and my stay was for a week. It's just really bad eggs it tastes fake. The rooms are spacious but definitely need to be updated. No electrical outlet near the bed area to charge phones or laptops.no real electrical outlet available near the desk area. Read previous statements.
Couldn't get sign onto free wifi to do some business before I left.was pretty disappointed but room was clean and comfortable.
Pretty clean, big rooms too. Good value. Nothing.
Staff were all friendly and helpful.
For being the cheapest room in town, it was not a real trashy hotel. No frills, but a good value.
should I say more. cheap price, cheap hotel
This place should be shut down. Bed was like a hamik. Shots felt like they were from the 80s. Nothing looks vacuumed.
I probably would not stay here again. The bed didn't have a fitted bottom sheet so it didn't stay tucked in, the continental breakfast didn't have much variety so I had breakfast on the road the next day, and the staff didn't act like they even cared if you stayed there or not. Not high on my list for another booking.
i stayed here for my job. i was dropped off by a cab and had no car. otherwise i would have gone somewhere else. the room had stains on the wall and carpet and spill marks on the table and nightstand. one of the wall outlets was not secure and would easily pull away from the surface of the wall (shock hazard) i woke up to find bedbugs crawling on one of the pillows and under the sheets. the staff was actually helpful and proptly got me a clean room for my second night. that was not enough to make up for the disgusting conditions. if i had i choice (which i didn't) i would have left the first night. i will never stay here again.
Hotel in need of a renovation! Hotel doors did not lock properly. Hallways smell of smoke...even supposed non-smoking room smelled. Room not as clean as I would have hoped. In general hotel was dark and dingy leaving you with a depressed feeling. I would not stay here again and considering my last 2-stays at a 'Super 8' hotel may completely cross that business off my travel list. Breakfast was OK. The desk clerk was great as her bright personality tried to lighten the dingy surroundings.
Granted it was a place to sleep after a long drive. Room service finally came in on the last day to clean. Had to ask far too many times for clean towels. The laundry facility is a joke, it took forever to wash and dry clothes. I wouldn't recommend this one to anyone and am currently booking with another hotel on a return visit to Bloomington.
This is our second time staying at this hotel. We use it when we have an early flight. The staff has always been very nice and the hotel rooms are decent. There are two restaurants right across the road that you can walk to which make it nice - not having to get back in the vehicle and drive again. Also, use this hotel because it accepts pets and our Jack Russell really appreciates being welcomed.
Two words...BED BUGS! I know that this has become a problem in many places but when I discovered them, the manager didn't even come and take the time to talk to me. So now I have to worry if they will be brought to my home with me in my luggage or anything else. Their staff should be aware of this problem and look out for it and take care it before a customer checks in. As soon I as I found this problem I high tailed it out of there and would never stay there. If you were to book there, I would make sure that they have taken care of this problem before booking.
Its a cheap hotel so its not going to be anything fancy. Its your basic run of the mill cheap hotel. The best part was the fridge in the room and the fact that it has a great location.
The room was awesome I recievd ate mail that said check-in by email. I did that and when we arrived the staff memory behind the counter said we never get those. I don't know what that is
Bed was great. Price was fabulous.
the room was very spacious and wall arranged. The beds were very comfortable!! I do not believe I moved all night!
Cheap rate. Shabby, sketchy location, sketchy clientele.
Common areas of the hotel are updated and the hot breakfast helped us avoid a stop at a restaurant to eat. Carpeting in the room was new. Fridge, sink and microwave in the room. The room was huge but not a suite as advertised. Beds were comfy. It has a pool and exercise room which we didn't use. This is an older property being renovated. We arrived at 10:30PM after hours and hours on the road. The elevator was being 'rebooted' and would be working in about 30 minutes. We carried our luggage up to the third floor rather than wait. Good thing...still didn't work in the morning. WiFi was awful and cut out intermittently. Wouldn't even load simple web pages. I called the front desk and was told to move to the other side of the room and it would work. "I promise...", she added. Broken promise... lol The room showed it's age, patched holes in walls, dirty shower, broken door knobs, old cabinets, items placed in the refrigerator were frozen when we removed them the next morning. Parking lot is a bit too small. It was full by the time we arrived. I had to park down the street.
They offered free breakfast but we didn't go so I cannot rate it. The attendant was as helpful as possible but we had to wait for two separate ones to come back to the counter from the bar area when we approached the desk. Our reservation was incorrect (although the hotel said it was pricelines fault) so we were shorted a bed for our 4 year old. The attendant provided a cot (which was very thin and would be very uncomfortable for any adult) when we were informed they were sold out for the night. All that was provided by way of toiletries was a small bottle of shampoo and a bar of soap. The room looked a little "used" with a half hazard paint job and scuffed up furniture. I wasn't at all impressed and won't stay again.
The room was amazing No hot tub
The grill and bar downstairs had great food for decent prices, the staff were all very friendly and the rooms exceptionally clean and accommodated all of our needs. I didn't like how close it was to the interstate. Over all a great place to stay. I believe if I would have stayed on the first floor rather than the third floor the road noise wouldn't have been as bad as it was.
Clean and large rooms. Very nice for the price.
Staff were very helpful, friendly. Upgraded us to double suite! Clean, spacious. Beds were very comfy. No issues
Clean room, good food, friendly staff. Location was not easy to get to.
Everything was amazing. The room was HUGE, clean, and well-appointed. Felt like a $150/night room, but I only paid $65 or so. Will definitely find excuses to need a hotel again so I can go stay there again. :)
The room was clean. Everyone at the Front Desk was kind & helpful. The Breakfast Bar attendant was great... nice smile. Location was great right across from "Constitution Trail" for biking. Not having digital cable in room so we could watch the Cards/Giants Post Season game Sun. night. Also, the word "Tavern" has an older meaning to it. I would suggest it be changed to "Bar & Grill" or something more modern.
The staff was very nice, and the room appeared very clean. The breakfast buffet is better than most at mid level hotels, and the bar is very nice. That being said there were many small details that just seemed to not be as well maintained as in previous visits i.e. elevator kind of dirty, suggestion box falling off wall, etc. Small I know, but they add up. Was really annoyed I couldn't watch the Cubs game in my room, and we had an infestation of gnats. Refrigerator rattled, and even with the air set at 60 we were hot. I have always enjoyed staying here, but last time we stayed at the Hyatt, and pretty sure that is where we will return to next visit.
The beds were super comfortable, my business partner was impressed with the complementary starbucks coffee. Unfortunately the furnace was out.
We stayed for 2 nights during Special Olympics state competition, and were impressed with lots of delicious options at breakfast. Our room was clean and comfortable. There were no issues with noise during our stay in late August. It would be nice if the breakfast opened earlier than 7 am on the weekend.
It was a great stay as always. The breakfast is always amazing. Good restaurant and friendly staff.
very friendly staff nothing I can think of
The room was dirty, with dirty wash clothes laying on the floor when I arrived. There was patch work done to the walls with no paint. The walls had many stains, scuffs, and mystery substances. The ice bucket had some sort of syrup all over it and in it. The bathroom had toothpaste all over the walls, the counter had not been wiped and there was someone else's facial hair trimmings all over. The wash cloths had holes in them as well. Can't say I would stay here again.
Cookies and breakfast.
Air conditioning did not work, no one on staff to fix it and the toilet seat was uncomfortably loose.
Location and price I wish that handicap rooms had showers that did not require stepping up in to .
Location was perfect next to resteraunts and stores. Next to freeway which made choice easier. House keeping came into our room at 8:15 in the morning while we were still in the room when check out wasn't until 10:00 am. Employee in breakfast area was very rude.
Nothing really for this particular property 1. Carpet had big stains as we entered the room. - Expected better room for $---- cost.. 2. Strange odor in the room. I complained and the attended sprayed Free-breeze. 3. Mattresses appeared to be worn out. 4. Bathroom was not clean as well.
This was a really nice, cozy hotel. We stayed 1 night on our way to Chicago and definitely have no complaints. We would stay here again.
a wonderful location and great staff. Easy to get to and close to everything needed in town

Front office clerk was very cranky.
That rooms were still available the day I booked it. The mandatory 'no party'/'no noise' after 9 pm, never saw that posted anywhere online prior to booking.
Breakfast with lots of choices both cold and hot.
The room was clean and comfortable. It was in a good location with ample parking. They seemed a bit short staffed.
The IPod clock radios were wonderful and a nice extra. Would not expect this in a Bloomington, Il hotel--along with the contemporary design. I was most impressed and excited. On top of this, I was upgraded just for asking at check in--wonderful staff.
This Holiday Inn is conviently located right across the street from the airport. The staff was friendly, the room were nice, there is a nice restaurant attached to the hotel. Overall it is a perfect place to stay for the right price.
i had to leave for an unexpected business trip and stayed at this hotel the staff was so friendly and the rooms were perfect i was on a business trip but the staff made me feel welcome the pool and spa were perfect after working all day i would definately stay at this hotel again
I stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip. It was very pretty. The staff was very friendly and helpful during my stay. The indoor pool and fitness were very relaxing. I work all day, so it was nice that the fitness and business center are open 24 hours. I would definately return.
The shuttle service wz awesome! Friendly and helpful staff. Nice pool and restaurant. Other guests from 4H and Prom were too loud and woke me up ALL night. Great city. Very hospitable residents. Staying by the airport does not get any better if u hav a early morning flight.
As a stranded passenger, due to cancelled flights...I was placed at the Holiday Inn by my employer. What a great location and the staff could not have been more accomodating. I even received an upgrade to a huge suite as the staff saw my disappointment in not getting to fly home that day. Breakfast at the adjoining restaurant was so much more than I ever expected....and room service for dinner had such a pleasing presentation...I felt as if I was on a vacation and not a work related trip. Kudos to the staff, you made a stressful situation a pleasant delay. Also, the free van service to the airport was perfect. Literally door to door service.
I recently moved to the bloomington area for work. In the time I was looking for an apartment I stayed at this hotel. It was so nice. I stayed for a little over two weeks and the staff was great.! Not only was the hotel very clean and contemporary, there was a connecting restaurant, which I ate at almost everyday. I am glad to have an apartment now, but I have to say I miss the staff at that hotel!
Although the hotel was lovely it was very far from ISU which is why we were in town. But being all that was available we took it in spite of the cost. Perhaps business travelers don't care about paying for breakfast, but the rest of America comes to expect it with the price of the room. Not here. Lovely room and amenities but make sure you know where the nearest Starbucks is.
My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn-Airport with our two golden retrievers. Not everyone is a dog person; the staff was outstanding and had biscuits waiting for our dogs. The staff should be complemented for their outstanding service. The facility was clean at all times.
Great room for a couple of days at my seminar. Clean, neat and efficent.
We were coming to to BLM for a wedding, planned on checking in between wedding and reception. My dad had been admitted to the hospital in BLM, so our need to get into the room was much sooner. They were totally accommodating. The room was clean and really nicely decorated. We would definitely stay here again.
One of the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. The heater in the room was extremely noisy but it was too cold to turn it off. Woke me up evey half-hour or so. The smallest noise in the hall travelled gage length of the hotel and into the room. Would not stay here again.
Pillows were awful. AC was loud. Wallpaper was peeling. No source of hot water for tea. Used to be a really nice hotel, when it was Jumers. Going downhill fast. I see why it's so cheap. Won't be going back.
Room was clean and convenient. This hotel was great when it was new, but now has aged past it's prime. But for the price it's a bargain. Good location, plenty of parking, and close to many shopping and dining options. No wow factor, big frugal factor. AC units starting to show age and can be a little noisy.
The hotel was nearly empty on 12-25-15 Christmas. But they still choose to put us next to an employees families young children who where yelling and banging into our wall where our bed was. Asked for ear plugs, they had none. It really set us back being overly tired for our road trip to Florida. I will never stay here again.
Clean, quiet, well maintained property located near dining and shopping.
We enjoyed our stay. Hotel was clean, staff very nice. We LOVED the Tomy Roma Restaurant; food was delicious great value and the staff was extremely efficient and nice. We ate there for our dinner and breakfast meals. WONDERFUL!! Noisy and Noisy!! We could hear the person in the next room clearing their throat as if they were standing right next to us. Also heard every footfall from the floor above us, even ones in the hallway. That really should be fixed as it is not desirable to clients for revisiting. We ran a fan all night and was so glad we did!
Staff was excellent, facility was well maintained, indoor pool, very interesting decor throughout hotel. Nice restaurant and bar at hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends.
We chose to stay here due to the price compared to other hotels in the area. That was a big mistake. The employee who checked us in was sick and coughing. We had to ask for a couple extra pillows as there was only two in the room. Then we found the bugs in the bed! We ended up leaving the light on all night hoping that would keep the bugs at bay. Obviously we were not comfortable we hardly slept. Upon checkout the employee was rude and wasn't worried about helping those checking out.
Rate After the great difficulty at check in, my expectations were not very high. Because we could not get in until midnight we experienced nothing besides the room which was pleasant but a little dated Bed was comfortable. Kids found a cheeto in their bed. Again it was a bargain with non professional staff so I wasn't all that surprised. For another $10 you can find better.
Friendly staff. Conveniently located to downtown, airport, and restaurants. Great value for the price. Located next to Tony Roma's. The bed mattress was not very comfortable, it seemed very lumpy. Otherwise, it was a rather nice place to stay.
We loved the unique decor. Some people would not appreciate the antiques and crystal lighting that are scattered around the hotel. We really liked the local feel and service that was provided for us in the hotel and talking to the staff in the restaurant next door. Very friendly.
Walls are thin. I could hear the entire phone conversation the woman next door was having at 11pm. I could here loud kids across the hall as well. Additionally, they have sensor lights in the room that cause the entire room to light up in the middle of the night, even when everyone is asleep.
Central location and close proximity to the Mall area were both positives. The staff was OK as long as honesty isn't a criteria. When we arrived, we were given the wrong room (one king bed does not work for a family of two grandparents, one adult daughter and a baby). We were told that they were sorry, moved to a two-queen bed room, and assured we would be given a different room the next day. When we went to the desk the next day, we were told that we were on a waiting list if there was a cancellation but no rooms were available--that they would call us if a room was available. They then put us back in our original room. Unfortunately we had pre-paid. They refused to issue a refund, citing the clause in the pre-pay agreement. We paid for the two-king room, were given a one-king and had to rent a room in a nearby hotel for our adult daughter and grand-child. The two-queen room we had on night one was filthy. The one-king room was cleaner. The fireplace in the one-king room did not work. They did not service the room everyday. It seemed to be a "by chance" sort of system--some days we had housekeeping, other days we did not.
Breakfast and ambiance.
The room was beautiful. when booked on kayak it said the room had a wet bar and a spa tub. the room given to us had neither. so you guys need to update your website to accommodate what the rooms actually have in them.
Available through internet with good reputation and a good price.
Small bathroom/ shower. Lobby smelled really strange.
I like the location of the Red Roof Inn Blooomington. It was very convenient for me. The staff was also noteably helpful and accomadating.
The layout of room. Clean. Friendly quick service. Good morning coffee. Breakfast buffet standard. Hotel management on Friday evening curbed the loudness of soccer teams staying for weekend tourney. Kitchen area substancial and nicely laid out. Loudness of air conditioner startled us awake sounding like an airplane vibration waiting to depart. Toilet area cramped the way door opened/closed. Didn't like the vanity lighting. Location to restaurants/shopping/activities.
Room was spacious and décor and furnishings were on the higher end. Really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The continental breakfast was good, they changed the selection daily and they offered appetizers in the evenings but we were not there to try them. The carpet was filthy. We found dirty dishes in a bedroom drawer. I left a packaged food item and when I called about it they said they had thrown it away because of state laws. When I questioned them about food I had in the freezer they got rude.
Clean and well looked after facility. Friendly staff. $500.oo charge to my account for rive days without notification on top of the room fee and incidental fees. When I questioned them about this charge they had no comment as to why it was charged.
