the location was very good as it was centrally located for visiting the town of Angers. Car parking was also a bonus. The breakfast selection could be better but was adequate for the price.
The staff were attentive. The bed was comfortable. The room was miniscule and the bathroom a shoebox.By far the smallest room of the five hotels we stayed in.
Very friendly staff. Central but quite location with many nice restaurants around. Big and clean room.
The location was perfect with city parking available. The courtyard would have been a good place for a beer under the tree if beer was available.
Beautifull building and interior very helpful staff Breakfast fair but expensive
Staff were very helpful and experienced. The Hotel is as described on your website. Breakfast costs....which, in France, are now separate from the room...seemed high for what was available on the buffet.
Just a one night stopover, this was in a quiet location but still close to restaurants and shops. Our room was quite small, but they welcome dogs which is essential for us. We ate at the Novo restaurant around the corner which was excellent.
Well-heated room and comfortable bed. The quaint architecture of the building and the fact that it is the site of some interesting parts of Angers City's history. Central location but yet extremely quiet. Private car park. Service provided by hotel's internet provider did not seem to be stable somehow. And this was not a problem of signal reception as it was always "very good" in the room I was (internet explorer kept freezing and I had to switch my computer on and off to get connected to internet again).
We enjoyed the quiet calm of the hotel, near the centre of Angers. The room was spacious and the staff very helpful. It was useful having parking in a private courtyard in front of the hotel.
Very lovely building, staff, easy location to find off the main roads. Parking lot.
Reception staff were extremely helpful with useful information and directions. Also very friendly and accomodating.
Location was excellent, just opposite to the train station. Staff were very friendly Room was a bit small
Excellent location, clean room Jcb credit card was not accepted
Nice French feel , convenient parking, good breakfast. Traffic mayhem around the hotel when we first arrived around 19.00hrs could not park to book-in. OK an hour later.
It was clean... atleast bedsheets were... Hotel stuff indifference to anything; - Ex: - during breakfast some fruit fell on the floor and when we left 30 mins later, it was still there with hotel stuff stepping over it and ignoring the mess... makes you wonder what else they ignore
Care from the hotel staff. Breakfast made with bio products.
excellent location in front of the station. Breakfast was nice. Price is not so high but we are not in Paris as well nothing particular.
The staff was very helpful when we arrived early in the morning (before 6:30 A.M.) on our check-in date. They were also accommodating when we had to stay and extra night and add one person.
secure car parking even though they were a short walk from the hotel.breakfast good
Staff were friendly, room was very clean, breakfast was very good Layout of the room was not ideal (i.e. no light in the shower so hard to see if you had the curtains closed), road works outside was a bit of a hassle (though not the fault of the hotel).
had a family room which was two adjacent rooms - lots of space. friendly staff. Basic, spacious and near to lovely town centre. No tea making facilities.
Large room and bathroom, excellent location for shopping and going out in angers. Reception closed when we arrived at 3pm, doorbell didn't answer, had to call to get them to answer then waited 20 mins for them to arrive. Warning for future non-French speaking customers, the staff do not speak any English at all. Makinging the inital problem of the hotel being locked until you call to tell them you have arrived, very difficult!!!!!! Also no car parking available close by and free of charge.
kindness of the staff and good breakfast
Good to have anfordable Hotel in the Centre of Anger walking distance of all the facilities
The Hotel was a convenient location. The guests were very quiet. I paid for 3 nights and noted on my reservation that we would be arriving at 6 am. We went to the hotel, rang the bell and could not get anyone to come to the door. We found another hotel lobby near by to rest and get out of the cold. It was not until 7:30 am that I was able to ring again and get the attention of someone. Also we had to ask for towels, did get them, yet only 1 time.
very close to the old town and its restaurant area. it came with TV when it was such a low price and private and shower included. when I arrived at the hotel only around 7 pm, the entrance was locked and I couldn't see the hotel staff right inside, it looked I couldn't get in the hotel at first. Finally I phoned the hotel number from my mobile phone, and they answered, and gave me the access code to open the main entrance door, I didn't expect this since it wasn't 11pm but only around 7:30 pm. What if I didn't have my mobile phone, which was capable to make an international call in front of the hotel, i hadn't known how to get in the hotel then. People should be warn in advance that the reception seems to be closed much earlier than normal hotels, so that people need to contact the hotel before their arrival to obtain the access code to open the main entrance door.
No elevator and no free parking next to the hotel. Shower is not separated from the room by a wall so if you are travelling with friends that should not see you naked then you have a problem.
Reception desk closed most of the time. Breakfast sometimes not served, for no reason. more like a hostel than a hotel.
Very central and clean Stuff can't speak English and the hotel is certainly not on 'a stone throe' from the train station
quiet rooms and efficient staff. Good breakfast.
Good location -good value for money - you get what you pay for -decor tired, but room spotless Faulty boiler meant no hot water on 2 occasions!
The staff at the hotel was fantastic! Everyone we came into contact with was helpful and kind. The hotel itself was a great value for the price. A wonderful place to stay.
Good value for money and very friendly staff. The hotel is well located and parking is easy. The breakfst is a little bit expensive but very good. Maybe the price of the breakfast (an option to have a smaller, simple, cheaper breakfast than the buffet)
location and staff
Friendly staff, good simple fare.
The staff were very friendly and happy to advise on the city of Angers. Considering the proximity of the hotel to the station I was amazed at how quiet the rooms were.
This is a great hotel, conveniently located near the station and close to the city centre. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel is nicely decorated and was beautifully clean. Our room was very comfortable and we enjoyed very good breakfast. As has been said, the soundproofing is excellent, although traffic is minimal during the night. We were travelling by bicycle and the hotel had storage space for these and we were able to leave the bikes during a day spend touring the city. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Obliging staff, convenient location, quiet. no minibar (I don't want the drinks, but I hate not having anywhere to keep things cold)
Hotel is nice for its price. Basic, but clean and cosy. The breakfast is good. I did like much the historic "spirit" of the house: It is built from thick wooden timbers, which are nicely demonstrated in the lobby. Room was not big.
cleanliness. helpful staff too far from city centre
Pillows are awfully uncomfortable and very small. A minor annoyance is that the air conditioning is turned off at night causing you to become too hot by 0600. Alternative was to open window but noise to great then.
We arrived on motorbikes which normally scares people however staff were very friendly and helpfull even sorted a hire car for us. Rooms excellent and very clean with great showers!!
Modern and clean, simple but with everything needed.
The restaurant - food is excellent (a la carte), breakfest - very good. Very comfortable bed! Not only shower but as well bathtub in the room. Could be excellent for the conferences, seminars. Shopping centre near the hotel. Beautiful nature - park across the road - spend 2 wonderful evenings away from business dinners and city noises! :) Not in walking distance from the city centre. Taxi cost was 15 EUR from railway station to the hotel. However - there is bus stop near the hotel.
Parking privé et fermé la nuit. Environnement très moche. Restaurant très moyen.
only used the bar as we arrived late, barman give us his time at the end of the night to talk to us.
Clean and refurbished bedrooms. Good value if you get special offer but I would never pay full price for that kind of bedroom. Good food in restaurant but the colour changing wall effect with the LEDs become very annoying after a few minutes...
Nice and quiet hotel with friendly staff. Location in the City Center with good parking facilities. None :-)
Hotel was very clean and also comfortable. The location was good and staff friendly. Parking is right opposite and plenty of restraunts to choose from. It was hard to find.I feel more sign posts should be in the streets directing youto the hotel location. We had to go to the tourism office to ask for directions
Extremely friendly & helpful staff. Convenient parking garage nearby. Excellent breakfast.
Really easy to find and right next to cheap car park. Helpful staff
We liked the hotel's space, central location and wifi availability. Secure parking was close by though street parking may have been available.
Compact, comfortable and clean room in easy walking distance of all main city centre facilities and attractions including bars and restaurants. Good parking for the weekend at the nearby multistory car park. Very helpul knowledgeable and polite reception staff. Good value.
Staff was great
Quiet and well organised
Location, car park across the road, cleanliness of the room and hotel. There is no lift and my room was on the 3rd floor although the staff helped with suitcases.
Very clean and an agreable design.Close centre ville and railway station.Very good comfort/price.
Helpful Staff, multilingual and reserved parking. Room too warm for us even with the Air Conditioning.
Good location Parking and access difficult due to road works
modern decor but nothing else in particular The roadworks outside the window. room was overheated and a bit small. Lighting was too low.
It was in the perfect location, right in the centre of Angers. The staff were extremely helpful and were very friendly to the large Irish group who were staying in the hotel to attend a wedding. They went out of their way to help us and we booked early getting great value for money. It's a pity the construction works for the tram system is outside the front door and outside the restaurant which can be noisy if you sit outside
Convenient town centre location. Not close to station -a good 10 minute walk away. Used to be the (Bleu) Marine Hotel before Mercure took it over. Breakfast a complete rip off at 15 ECU (european currency units). Much better to go to a cafe.
The hotel is clean, centrally located, and the staff are very helpful. It was a great value.
it was central and the restaurant was very good
Clean hotel, modern feel, friendly staff.... Overall excellent Can't think of any bad points
Very Quiet, comfortable room. Centrally located , helpfull staff and good restaurant for evening meals.Good size room. Hot breakfast fair and water not hot enough to make proper tea.
Comfort and cleanliness of the room, good facilities, adequate bathroom, friendly and helpful staff, location at rear of hotel, as roadworks in the front. Leak from bathroom above into shower compartment one day. limited TV channels
- staff, colorful hall and rooms, clean, nice breakfast
Convenient for city centre - comfortable, excellent for its purpose Not enough signs - poor directions - badly needs an illuminated sign. It took me 15 mins to find it and two telephone calls to the hotel.
Breakfast was superb Nothing
the best hotel i stayed in france during my travelling though the price of all the hotels was similar. recommend it!!! parking, wi-fi, good breakfast, very friendly staff...everything was excellent!
The room was quite spacious and there was free breakfast. The hotel staff were not very friendly and could not speak english very well. The room had no mini fridge and your luggage (if you want to leave it there after check out) is out in the open and not stored away in a closet. It was not as close to the train station as I thought.
location, loction, location and of course price
Easy check in. Relaxed atmosphere. Interesting, colourful furnishings. Free wi-fi excellent! Car park. Good location. Good breakfast included in price. Good check-in and check out times. Would like tea and coffee making facilities in bedroom, rather than foyer.
location , parking . noise from passing traffic , windows need checking for sound insulation .
Tasteful, medium sized room, good breakfast, perfect location with car (free parking but close to the centre).
Clean tidy and friendly
very clean. location was good - central. staff very friendly would like to have had a shower screen, or curtain, in the bathroom.
Location (close to train station), staff's friendliness, cleanliness of room
friendly, good breakfirst, easy to find and easy to visit the beautifull city, easy and cheap to park the car at the station
Clean, smart, friendly and efficient
Very good friendly informative staff. At breakfast the staff was excellent. Very good food and drink; wide ranging items and excellent quality. Nice bright decor and with a well thought and designedcalming view from the salon window.Well thought out, well done! Perfectly satisfied
The hotel is nice and good value. The breakfast was very good. The highlight of my stay was the staff who were very warm and friendly.
Welcome, clean good location The room(s) had a very odd layout - the toilet was about 2 feet away from the bed head..
Nice clean hotel, I would recommend and it is right beside the train station so very easy to find.
The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and quiet. Hotel was in a convenient location opposite the station.
Very pleasant , helpful and attentive staff, very very clean rooms. Good location, just far enough away from the noise of the town centre. Cheap multi storey car park opposite. Fair selection of restaurants nearby. For the money, it is unbeatable. A shower curtain would be useful and air con.
I loved the style of the hotel. Very special and unspoilt. I hope it never changes.
The attached restaurant is outstanding athough room was supposed to be a double, it was barely large enough for a single bed. The bathroom was incredibley small and the sink overlapped the toilet, making "a visit" an uncomfortable experience..
Appointments were beautiful and the staff were helpful to every circumstance - especially to late night city walkers. Complements to Steeve and to the gals who run the breakfast bar
The hotel is in a very convenient location. The staff was particularly helpful about walking directions and restaurant suggestions. The room was very clean and comfortable. A good value. The road was torn up so it was somewhat difficult to get close to the hotel and find a place to stop. But once we were there we were directed to the hotel parking not far away.
The staff was very helpful. Having a great restaurant in the hotel was advantageous. The location was convenient for our visit. The room was very small.
there is poor information on local activities and no support to gather them as we often find in touristic cities.
The Hotel is just across from the station, Angers St.Laud, and it was ideal as we had to catch a train early the following day. Despite being so close to the station, there was very little street noise in our room and the outlook was pleasant. The free WiFi in the room was good, too. There is a café downstairs and other restaurants nearby as well as a Boulangerie opposite so it is very convenient.
The location next to the Angers train station and near restaurants was great. Be prepared for a hand held shower.
The hotel was located close by to several restaurants, rooms were clean, and the price was reasonable. In the morning the shower was freezing cold. After waiting several minutes, still cold water. I guess this was a one off problem. The rooms were quitte loud, as you could hear people walking through the hallway.
This hotel is in front of the station.I had a big suitcase. So it was really good.and stuffs were nice and kind.
friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Modern, well maintained and very clean. TV shelf just at head height. Bumped into it twice before I learned to duck!
Friendly staff, location (opposite train station, walking distance from all sights), comfortabel beds, very clean.
It had absolutely everything I wanted in a hotel of this size; I couldn't have looked for more; location, peace and quiet, lovely staff. What's not to like? Nothing.
position to city and brekky no shower screen
near by the railstation no nothing
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Very nice continental breakfast.
The two ladies on reception couldn't have been more charming and helpful, particularly as I spoke little French. Not a compaint but ecologically, why use those individually packaged jams and butters?
charming room, clean, great location between station and city
The location was very good. The rooms were very comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Would stay there again. It could be a little bit difficult to find except we searched on google earth before we started our holiday and were aware of its location and one way street systems.
Hotel staff most welcoming. Traffic noise in morning.
Conveniently situated for a one night stop and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Room rather small and breakfast minimal.
Good assistance and welcoming to English travellers. Excellent inside for its star-rating. Staff very polite and helpful. The continental breakfasts were an excellent started to the day. We really enjoyed our stay with them. Thankyou! Based on our experience we heartily recommend this hotel as a base for visiting Angers. Small point, we were reluctant to use the 'emergency' telephone number (as advised on the reception door) on our arrival from the airport - we happened to arrive during a public holiday and an early-afternoon siesta time. (If we had known, we would have phoned in the morning to inform of our arrival time.) Unfortunately, in England, we are not used to such siestas!
Very friendly staff, breakfast was wonderful if you choose to eat there. No hassles at this hotel - good location close to the train station and area restaurants.
Friendly personell. Ok room, as expected for the price.
Very friendly & helpful staff who spoke good english & had good knowledge of area. Location good - near train station and city centre. Hotel has lift to upper floors.
Clean and tidy. Well kitted out and very functional. Everything was ready for a family, including travel cot and is was nice to just relax after a long drive. Perfect for an overnight stop. Excellent value for money. Tricky to find, even with satvav. No restaurant open on Sunday and nothing nearby. Have to use car to get into town. No airco.
Breakfast Ground floor rooms have no opening windows. No food Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
It is newly rennovated and very clean and the presence of an electric tea-kettle in the room was a nice surprise. It is situated much farther from the centre of the city than we had expected judging from the hotel's description. We prefer staying at a walking distance from the city-centre and in this case walking to the centre was out of the question. And it was rather difficult to find the hotel, too.
Verry Comprehensive persons, and verry serviable
Comfortable, clean and ideal location for us. Good shower spoilt by floppy shower head.
Good value, clean neat room, friendly staff.
we were made very wlcome by the hotel staff rooms wereexcellent & clean and breakfasts were also excellent the only problem was having toget into a very high bath to use the shower
Rooms clean. Car park good. Breakfast good.
Staff friendly and helpfull, good reastaurant next door, breakfast was included, even though shown as extra on booking confirmation, as it was a weekend. Room had been smoked in. Hotel restaurant closed at weekends. Bed too short, as usual!
Good friendly staff. Great price. No aircon in the room and on a Saturday night the restaurant was closed, but the place next door was excellent.
Very clean room Extremely helpful staff Difficult to find - no signs in and around the location
The staff were very polite and helpful I thought the continental breakfast and drinks expensive for this standard of hotel
The receptionist was very helpful and explained the closure of the restaurant and how to find another local eatery. The room was quite small.
the food and the presentation of the downstairs lobby
Hotel very modern and spotlessly clean, very easy to find Receptionist was very rude and had no manners at all.
Clean hotel. Friendly staff. Central for travel. Small room. Few facilities in room. Could do with kettle and coffee facilities. Bath has shower over which overflows into floor.
Good value for money - clean, friendly, budget accommodation. Located within park.
Nice location next to a pictuesque park, basic but comfortable rooms. This hotel is located a little out of town so it's better if you have a car.
Good localisation and friendly price Nothing
Somewhere where we felt welcome and enjoyed a peaceful nights sleep We had great difficulty locating the place. We eventulally stopped to ask someone and were told the place was just across the road amongst some trees, but there was no sign to indicate that it was there. A sign board would have helpful. For some reason the Sat Nav did not get us to the area.
Good value, clean room, comfortable beds, good breakfast. No lid on the toilet, no cups for breakfast drinks (only bowls).
