The location is great. Short walk to everywhere and multiple places to eat nearby. Be aware that you HAVE to valet park, which costs $50 per night per car. They do not give you the option to park yourself.
People very friendly...Jon twigg very kind to get door leading into our room fixed. Door didn't work..had to wait to get fixed. Room not ready when we arrived at 330pm, had to wait 20 minutes in lobby. Bed not turned down second night we were there. Hairs found in our bathtub..
Attentive staff Need exhaust fans in the bathroom Lack of TV stations in the lounge - why in Canada could we not see the Stanley Cup playoffs in the lounge???
We inadvertently left somethings in the car that was valet parked. Our bellhop brought our bags up and immediately helped us with our situation. In a few minutes our other items were up in our room. It was so effortless. I also loved how well staffed if was and how ready they were to help us with anything.
The room was beautiful. Our favorite was the Trump chocolate bars. The kids loved the TV embedded in the bathroom mirror. My only complaint was the the lighting in the bathroom could have been brighter. It was a little dim for applying makeup.
Beware of the crime in the area. There was a murder outside the front door. If safety is a concern you should not stay here.
Clean and comfortable. The location next to Eaton center makes it ideal for shopping and eating.
The front desk clerk was extremely friendly. The rooms were very clean. Crisp bed linens and dust free The pool was small and way too hot! They claim rooftop pool but in actuality it is just a small pool on the top floor of the hotel. Hotel breakfast priceswere outrageous. I have a hard time justifying $15 for a juice and a muffin. And $30 for an egg and bacon.
Enjoyed the proximity to the Eaton's Centre and not having to worry about bringing a coat along.
Great location. Close to subway and eaton centre Cheap price room but you pay extra for parking and wifi. Nearly 70 bucks just for those 2 alone. Rooms were nice but the ACC was terrible. Even at the lowest setting room never got below 23
Good location, with an easy walk to a lot of cool areas. Nice accommodations. Friendly staff. Parking cost $35 extra, and wifi was $10 per day. It's 2015 man, wifi should be freeee!
-very comfortable beds and convenient location complimentary continental breakfast should be included
Great location Parking lot was full. Alternative was not explained that we so we ended up with a ticket. They could not reimburse us.
The Location Yes, the club is not as should be, it is just name
Exceptional hotel. No breakfast included.
The room that we've stayed in is very clean and tidy. I also appreciate that there's two LCD tv in our suite...I think its a bonus! As a guest of the hotel, why do we have to pay for parking?!
When we booked the hotel there was indoor pool and restaurant . But they have only hottub which is great by the way. After booking , we get an email that restaurant will be closed. That wasnt fair really. Otherwise this is our second stay at cambridge Stafff really nice . Water drain in the living room never got fixed despite complaining. rooms are spacious.
Nice room layout and amenities Very quiet Room heater thermostat did not work well Elevator down button light did not work
Everything was great Everything
I compared alot of hotels for our long weekend visit to Toronto. The Cambridge seemed to offer the best value as far as price, location, and you get a suite not just a room. The room were clean, and recently refurbished. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was very firm, but we prefer it that way. The hotel has a strictly enforced no noise policy, which is something we appreciated. We were able to get the rest we needed after very full days taking in Toronto. The temperature in the room was a little on the warm side. Not uncomfortable, but we would have preferred it a little cooler. Weather outside was in the 90's. Turning the thermostat down did not seem to help.
The Cambridge Suites has been reliable. It is close to many attractions and not hard to get to. It is VERY convenient that you can leave your car there until 6:00 after check-out.
We stayed at the Cambridge Suites as part of a weekend getaway. In the heart of downtown and right around the corner from Massey Hall, the Cambridge Suites was withiin walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. The suite was spacious and offered every convenience. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linens clean and crisp. The room was very quiet and the staff was most accomodating. We would definitely stay here again.
Location, size of room, finishings very high end, quiet but right downtown.
Beautifully appointed room, very helpful concierge. Great food and meal service. No elevator, no mini-fridge in room, no ice machine. Late checkin (4 pm) and early checkout (11 am).
The spa was closed for renovations while I was there, which would have been valuable information to know beforehand. But the hotel itself is a dream.
location and price, clean, friendly enough.... lots of construction in lobby... front desk seemed under staffed
I was very happy with my stay. 3 nights in Toronto for business, but I needed to choose a hotel that would stay within my budget. The rooms are small, but that did not bother me. 15th floor, wonderful view. Very clean and the staff was very friendly. The TV was temperamental and didn't always work. Besides that, no complaints.
The location is tremendous, right on Yonge-Dundas square! Underground parking across the street with in/out privileges for a fair price. Staff was helpful and polite. Clean rooms with inexpensive (cheap?) but obviously newer fixtures and decor. I didn't have to pay for internet, they gave us an access code for each device we requested. Room was quite small. Gym was small, hot, some equipment out of order. Thin walls or doors: loud! Not a luxury accomodation, but then again it's priced fairly low so you get what you pay for.
Clean one of the elevators was broken resulting in long waiting times.
Convenient location. Parking was not included as well as wifi.
Clean rooms. Nice decor. Nice staff. No valet. Parking lot across the street so it was awkward to check in. Neighboring rooms and ankle noises could be heard
The view from the 18th floor is incredible. It was cozy and appealing. Denny's for breakfast down the street. Burrito boyz rescued the night after checking out the bad tapas options. The bed is pretty comfy if you like em soft. Nice storage, nice cleaning staff. It's nice if you don't need too many extras. Security feature to use elevators with room key card The bar tapas on friday and Saturdays, $10 for ruffles chips and marble cheese? Not worth it. Get a catering company to help out with the tapas options and get more revenue with better food. The pop machine ate my money. My receipt said i would have a deep soaking tub, i did not. I suggest the sheets get more attention with appearance. Internet bandwidth is limited, no netflix. Towels aren't big enough, not enough pillows, bed really bouncy like it's not on a proper frame. The heat was blowing in my boyfriend's face most of the night, should look into a better heating system. The
Just needed a safe, clean place to sleep.. Because who visits a new city only to stay in the hotel room? Nice staff, awesome bar across the street called The Imperial (just a dive, but good food and staff), I'll be back.
Location is close to everything and room has all you need Beds were a little lumpy and had to put towel over A/C vent
When I checked in I expected a standard room with 2 beds, what I got was only 1 bed. When advertising sales details as standard room, there needs to be something noticeable on the website that there standard rooms only comes with 1 bed. Makes for an awful 1st impression.
Location and room were great . Decor and bed good too. good value for price. note the fact that Wi fi was not included . Neither were movies available or working ,or parking included. not impressed with the $250 downpayment for cleaning fee . Not mentioned when booking or on the website .
location was perfect for those that want to be near the heart of the action: Eaton Square and walking distance to Wellesley-Church. Rooms were on the small side but Scandanavian decor maximized space utility while still giving the room some style. It's on the edge of "fringe" neighborhood, so be careful walking alone or at night. It's the price you pay to be close to the action. Likely because of the competitive price, more than half of the hotel was occupied by people over 70 for the weekend we were there. Weird since it's near the bars, clubs, strip joints, college dorms, and Eaton Square itself.
The room were very nice. We staying in a kichenette room. Parking was difficult.
Well equipped room (although large fridge in small room is noisy at night!) Room overlooked large fans on roof of neighbouring buildings and was noisy at night.
It was convenient to the theatre and made it easier rather than having to drive & find parking. Rooms were very small for more than 2 people
An excellent hotel, top quality and fantastic location
Excellent location, beautiful design, good music
We were at the hotel because our son was in St. Mike's Hospital. The staff could not have been more helpful and kind. Having Fran's so handy was also excellent for us. From the front desk to the valet parking, all were effiecient and pleasant.
The bed was very good
I really like that the staff was really helpful in carring our bagage to our room and the vallet parking did not like that conteniental breakfast was not included in the price
Locations is amazing, just steps from Queen St subway, lots of restaurants, shopping, and coffee shops nearby. The staff are super friendly and the complimentary fruit infused water is a very nice touch Actual entrance feels like it is on a side street. Next to a hospital which unfortunately attracts some less desirable elements nearby
staff courtesy and professionalism. midnight fire alarm. bathroom could have been cleaner.
Very close to downtown, clean towels and bed sheets. TV in room, close to different subway, pizza, starbucks etc. street was bussy but quiet. All door locks were simple it would take a sec to push the door open. I had hole in wall to next room with TV cable in it.
Location is great, also 3 ethnic restaurants right next door. Very inexpensive for Toronto. Courteous reception. Clean room. Wifi. No noisy guests. Looks like an amateur job of "rehabbing" rooms--new stuff very poorly installed. Old smoky building, walkup. Possibly seems menacing to the fearful and faint of heart tourist, not for princesses.,Looks like an amateur job of "rehabbing" rooms--new stuff very poorly installed. Old smoky building, walkup. I found it easy to walk to Rogers Center, Distillery district, waterfront, Union Station, etc. it is extremely close to the St. Lawrence Market. It is functional and provides just what this type of traveler seeks, simply a place to sleep, shower, and hold their stuff. It was fine for that as I often feel no need to pay double the price at another hotel just for a pretty room. Beds were comfortable, and the fridge and microwave in-room convenient. As others have pointed out, it is run down. Every room needs maintence of some kind from unfinished floors to unpainted walls, broken bathroom cabinets, and moldy sealant around bathroom enclosure. The area has plenty of homeless, as does seemingly all of downtown Toronto, so you'll be hassled for 'change' a lot, but I never felt unsafe as long as you don't engage them.
Great for single travelers who wants to explore the downtown city of Toronto! Walking distance to all public transit systems, City Pass attractions, Kisington Markets, Chinatown, etc. Shared washrooms and restrooms. A negative for those who prefers private usage only.
They are nor organised at all,and the people at the front desk were rude
